Not too long after Fluttershy found the creature, she sent for her friends. Now they were all standing around him. "So do you know what he is Twilight?" Fluttershy asked her friend. Twilight shook her head.

"Sorry Fluttershy, but I don't." Twilight told her.

"Oh, okay." said Fluttershy.

"Well whatever he is we should throw him a party!" exclaimed Pinkie.

"Pinkie! Be quiet!" Twilight yelled at her. Pinkie's ears flattened, and her hair deflated a little.

"Sorry Twilight." she apologized. Twilight took a deep breath, and let out a sigh.

"No I'm sorry." she said, "I just don't want you waking him."

"It's a little late for that." Applejack said, pointing at him.

Foaly let out a groan, and opened his eyes. He immediately regreted it as pain shot through his brain, and he clutched his head in his hands. "Ugh. What happened?" he wondered aloud. When his head stopped pounding he slowly opened his eyes. It was then that he got a surprise.

Standing around him were six pastel colored ponies. Not just any ponies either. Two were pegasi, and two were unicorns. He wasn't exactly surprised by this. What he was surprised by, though, was the intelligence he saw in their eyes. Suddenly he remembered what happened, and bolted upright.

A bad idea as it happened, because another wave of pain shot through his brain once again. He clutched his head again. "Oh my! Are you okay?" asked a female voice. He cracked open his eye to see the yellow pegasus staring at him with a concerned look.

"Did... Did you just talk?" he asked hesitantly.

"Um, yes." she said, nervously. Foaly's jaw dropped. Standing in front of him was an intelligent, talking, pegasus that knew gnommish. It was enough to make him temporarily forget his pain. Suddenly his eyes widened.

"Where's my teleporter?!" he exclaimed, jumping to his hooves. It was then that he felt a surge of pain worse than his headache. It sliced through him like a jagged piece of metal, and his legs collapsed beneath him, sending him sprawling onto the floor.

He clutched at his hind leg, and felt something wet. He didn't have to look to know what it was. "Oh my! Your wound!" the pegasus exclaimed. That was the last thing he heard before he faded into the darkness again.
