Senor Butterscotch really started to regret his decision a few hours later, when he suddenly had to go to the bathroom. Eating a couple days' worth of food in only a few hours was not a good idea, apparently.

Oh well, at least now he could be out in the rain without worrying about falling apart. Speaking of rain, there has been a lot of that lately. One day there had even been a terrible storm, and for a short period of time Senor Butterscotch had found he couldn’t use his magic.

But the storm had dissipated almost as soon as it had begun, and a wave of new magical energy had flown throughout the land.

When Senor Butterscotch’s magic well was replenished once more, he found that it had grown about half its original size. Such a leap in strength was impossible, considering he hadn’t been practicing. He realized it was the unicorn’s well that had merely fused with his own, when he found he knew a few more spells that he hadn’t before.

He could now make bunnies appear out of nowhere, summon random costumes onto his body, and he had in-depth knowledge on the art of juggling.

So basically, nothing useful. Oh well, at least he could drain the life from the bunnies.

Senor Butterscotch levitated his sword around as he walked idly through the forest. He slashed randomly at tree branches and bushes, glad to be able to wield his sword once again.

He suddenly stopped as he heard voices in the distance, it sounded like a small group of ponies all calling out for names he didn’t recognize. A search party, he realized, and he silently trotted forward to get a better look.

Peeking around a tree he saw two unicorns and four earth ponies. He recognized a few of them, the yellow unicorn was the coltfriend of the one he’d merged with.

Senor Butterscotch smirked as he got an idea. He backed away, making sure to rustle the bushes a bit with his sword.

The group stopped and looked in his direction, but they wouldn’t be able to see him due to the thick foliage. One of the earth ponies said something in the sky, and Senor Butterscotch realized there must be a pegasus hovering just out of sight.

“Hello?” He called out weakly and was pleased when he found he could do a perfect impression of his unicorn’s voice.

The yellow unicorn’s ears perked, and he gasped, he tentatively stepped through the bushes as he looked around.

Senor Butterscotch made sure to stay out of sight. “Starry?” He asked innocently, digging into his memories for the unicorn’s name.

“Hat? Is that you?” Starry croaked, tears falling from his eyes. “Where are you?” He asked, desperately searching for his coltfriend.

“I’m hurt,” Senor Butterscotch murmured in Hat’s voice, grinning as Stary looked alarmed.

“Hat? Where are you?” Starry called out as he wandered further away from his group.

“Magic Hat?” He asked, stopping as he saw a figure shrouded in darkness.

“M-” Starry’s voice was cut off as a ring of magenta suddenly choked him.

Senor Butterscotch relaxed amongst the bushes as he siphoned Starry’s magic, his horn tingling pleasurably as his magical well grew in size once more.

He gently laid Starry’s body on the ground, hiding it from sight as he heard his friends calling for him.

Then he screamed.

The effect was instant as he heard hooves thudding in his general direction, he hid behind a large tree as the other ponies yelled for their two friends.

Senor Butterscotch backed away from the scene, careful not to stumble on anything as he circled the group of unknowing ponies.

He grabbed the earth pony at the back of the group with his magic, swiftly pulling her into the darkness. Nopony noticed her absence as he sucked her dry of her life force, when he was done, he hid her body in the same way.

His ears perked as he heard wing beats, and he watched in awe as the illusive pegasus joined her friends on the ground.

She was beautiful, with a jet-black coat and a long white mane. Her primary feathers were red, which matched her eyes... That’s when he felt a new emotion overtake him, his cheeks flushed as he watched the cute pegasus frantically search for her missing friends.

His rump backed into a tree, knocking him out of his stupor. He shook his head and rid himself of such thoughts, now that was a feeling he never wanted to experience again. She would be next, he didn’t know how, but she would be next!

Senor Butterscotch crept closer once more, steadying his beating heart with a breath. He eyed the pegasus carefully, and just as she was about to take off, he lit his horn.

Suddenly a dozen bunnies came scampering from the bushes, confusing and startling the five ponies. While they were distracted, Senor Butterscotch grabbed the pegasus by her throat and yanked her off the path.

He pinned her to the ground, fury burning in his eyes as he began to siphon her magic. However, before he could take much, she looked up at him. Silently pleading with her big ruby eyes.

His magic faltered as he blushed, but right before she could scream, he suddenly clamped his magic around her neck again.

He grit his teeth as a fiery hate grew within him, how dare this harlot tempt him! The pegasus' mascara smeared as tears ran down her cheeks, her body jerking and spasming as her lungs fought for breath. He watched eagerly as her eyes rolled up into her skull, the magic ring so tight on her neck that it began to cut through her soft flesh.

Only then did Senor Butterscotch siphon her magic, it was quick and clumsy, seeing as how most of his power was being put into choking her.

As her eyes greyed there was a sickening wet pop, and her head was severed clean off. He let out a shaky breath as his magic fizzled out, he hadn’t used very much, but the tension of the scene had taken a lot out of him.

Senor Butterscotch lifted the head to eye level, smirking as her dull eyes grew glossy. Then, he carelessly threw the head toward the trail. It slammed into the unicorn’s horn, knocking her out as the three earth ponies screamed in horror.

Before they could react, Senor Butterscotch shot out of the bushes. He grabbed the unconscious unicorn and twirled her body around, smacking it into two of his opponents. The third hopped out of the way just in time, she scraped her hoof in the dirt, then charged at him.

The drained body of her unicorn friend slammed into her again, just as one the cyan earth pony stood. The purple one was hunched over her foreleg, whimpering each time she tried to move it.

The one that had tried to attack him was now unconscious on the dirt path. He grabbed the purple pony and lifted her into the air, while the cyan one looked up in shock.

“How-” He stammered, but he was cut off by a magenta field appearing around him as well.

With sadistic glee, Senor Butterscotch slammed their bodies together. The purple pony writhed in pain as her broken leg was caught in between the impact, and then he did it again. He slammed the two earth ponies' bodies together again and again as hard as he could, all while sucking the life from their bodies.

After a moment of gross crunching as their bodies impacted each other, both of their fronts broke open with one final slam. Their rib cages impaled each other, and their lifeless bodies were dropped to the dirt, this is what the last earth pony saw as she regained consciousness.

She screamed and shot to her hooves, vomiting as the image of her two friends bloodily merged was burned into her brain. Her green eyes trailed up to the blood-soaked monster, a wicked grin splitting his face as his pin-prick eyes watched her.

“Why!?” She cried, shivering as she tried not to look at the carnage around her.

A greyed-out unicorn here, a severed pegasus head there, two earth ponies made into one in between her and him. The little red earth pony began to hyperventilate as her vision focused on the demon. He took one step closer; she froze in fear, he took another step.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity of staring, the earth pony fainted from stress. Senor Butterscotch hummed merrily as he siphoned her magic. Something interesting he’d noticed was that after the day of the great storm, earth pony magic had been more potent than it was before. It used to be the weakest of the three tribes, but after that strange day the three were equal.

Strange, maybe Izzy and her friends had something to do with it. Sunny was an alicorn, wasn’t she? Izzy had told him all about that when they’d first met.

Several days after slaughtering the group of seven, Senor Butterscotch was made aware of yet another pony need. He stank. It hadn’t rained in over a week, not since the great storm that gave earth ponies stronger magic.

Living out in the wilderness, combined with dry blood made, made a mighty stench that could be smelt a mile away. So, begrudgingly, he’d been forced to waste precious time finding a lake.

“I hate ponies,” He said as he sat under a small waterfall, the roaring crashing waves so loud they drowned out his own thoughts.

Oh well, it was the best he had. He’d tried to scrub the blood out with his hooves, but that proved futile quickly. He watched curiously as the red water flowed downstream and into the wide sparkling lake.

If animals drank that, would they grow a taste for pony flesh and attack Maretime Bay? Now that was a show he’d like to see.

Once he was cleansed of the muck in his fur he left the waterfall, his stomach rumbling as he realized it’d been a few days since he’d eaten. Great. How was he ever supposed to get revenge on Izzy if these dumb pony needs kept popping up one after the other!?

It took forever to encounter more ponies, and by the time he was done with them his magical well was the size of a dozen ponies combined. That was enough to raise a small celestial body! Senor Butterscotch didn’t know that, of course. But he certainly was pleased with himself when he lifted three hikers up and siphoned their magic all at once.
