My Little Pony: The Draconic Sister - Reboot

The group of six ponies plus two dragons came off the train and onto the platform at Ponyville.

"Phew, that was some kind of trip." Twilight said. Suddenly the group noticed Sweetie Belle and one other pony coming up.

"Welcome back sis." Sweetie Belle said. The other pony; an orange Pegasus filly; just smiled.

"Hey Sweetie Belle. Whose this with you?" Rarity asked.

"Scootaloo, what are you doing here?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Just thought I'd come meet you with a new friend I made." The Pegasus filly said. "Turns out we both don't have our cutie marks so we kind of just clicked like that." She added.

"Rainbow Dash, do you know this Pegasus filly?" Smolder asked.

"You mean Scootaloo? She's this orphan filly I adopted as my child." Rainbow Dash said. "The fact that she idolizes me and wants to be just as awesome as me one day may have factored into that." She added.

"Rainbow Dash, you never told me you adopted anyone." Fluttershy said.

"...It was going to be something I was hoping to reveal at your next birthday party, Flutters..." Rainbow Dash said. "In fact, I was going to tell every pony eventually, but I guess she sort of saved me the trouble." She added.

"Sorry mom..." The newly named Scootaloo said.

"It's alright Scootaloo. This just saved me a ton of trouble for later." Rainbow Dash said.

"You didn't get your parents to adopt her so she could be your sister?" Smolder asked. Both Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash suddenly looked at the orange dragoness. "...Why are you both staring at me?" Smolder asked.

"Um...let's just say that Rainbow's parents...they aren't...um...what's the best way to say this..." Fluttershy said.

"They're support of me was very vocal. It wasn't uncommon for them to show up to one of my races waving flags and the like. It was very obnoxious to me. It's one of the reasons I moved out of my Parent's place to begin with. The other is because of finding Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash said.

"To me, it doesn't really matter if Rainbow Dash ended up my sister or my mother; I'm happy all the same she's taken me under her wing." Scootaloo said.

"You said it squirt." Rainbow Dash said, ruffling Scootaloo's mane.

"...Typical Rainbow Dash." Applejack said.

"Kind of sucky that I won't get to run the Sisterhooves Social later this year, but if you ask me, that's a small price to pay to be able to take care of Scootaloo." Rainbow Dash said. "...She wasn't going to be able to fly stuck in that orphanage after all." She added.

"I didn't even know there was an orphanage around Ponyville." Twilight noted.

"Most ponies don't know there is one because it's so small as Ponyville doesn't have a lot of orphans. Most fillies only end up orphans around ponyville when all known guardians are either missing for more than three months, or all known relatives are dead." Rainbow Dash said.

"My real parents tended to be gone for so long, I ended up in the care of my aunts, but about five months before Nightmare Moon showed up, one day while we were out for a walk around the Everfree Forest, when this strange bear-bee hybrid thing showed up. My two aunts were unable to escape in time, and I probably wouldn't have escaped either if my aunts hadn't had noticed a path that led straight out of the forest. They told me to follow it and don't look back." Scootaloo said. "...Their bodies were found three days later." She added.

"Which is how Scootaloo ended up in the Orphanage. But once I realized she was a big fan of mine upon seeing her old room and talking with her, I just...I did what I felt was the right thing to do." Rainbow Dash said. "So, I took her in as my own daughter. I didn't want her to spend long in that orphanage. She's only six years old after all." She added.

"But what about Scootaloo's real parents? Do they know?" Twilight asked.

"They haven't been back since they left. It's been three years since I've last seen them period." Scootaloo said. "...They could've at least come back as soon as the accident happened, but they didn't. Some parents they are. As far as I'm concerned, they don't need to come back." Scootaloo said.

"...Scootaloo, how about you and Sweetie Belle go off and play together, okay squirt?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"...Yeah. That's cheer me up. Thanks mom. Come on Sweetie" Scootaloo said and went off to play with Sweetie Belle.

"Rainbow Dash, was there a reason you sent her off to play with my sister?" Rarity asked.

"...I didn't want to say anything in front of her, but you know how loyalty is everything to me. That includes loyalty to family. But Scootaloo's family...she's lost her two aunts, and the two parents she does have haven't been back since her aunts died. Those two ponies who call themselves Scootaloo's parents can't even be bothered to come back for three whole years." Rainbow Dash explained before she suddenly landed.

"R-Rainbow Dash..." Fluttershy noted.

"...That's why I did what I did. I wanted to be there as someone she could depend on, some pony who would show her loyalty like no pony else could. In my heart, I just felt a kinship with her. As such, I reacted to her situation and did what I felt like doing, which was adopting her as my daughter even if I have next to zero idea how to raise a child. But, I won't let that stop me. Because I'm Rainbow Dash, a future stunt flier who values loyalty above all else. That's who I am. And Scootaloo needs someone like me looking after her." Rainbow Dash said.

"I'll say this much Rainbow Dash: You've surprised me in ways I couldn't begin to describe. Why don't you go on ahead into Ponyville." Twilight said.

"Thanks Twilight. Figured you'd understand, egghead." Rainbow Dash said before flying off.

"...Twilight, what do you mean Rainbow Dash surprised you? Just sounded like her usual ego filled self to me." Applejack said.

"It's her heart, she simply did what she felt was the right thing to do. She adopted a filly simply because she wanted to show that filly what a real parent is supposed to be like. I'm sure without a shadow of a doubt, she'll succeed." Twilight said before going off.

"...A real parent...ah guess I get what that's about..." Applejack said before the rest headed off.

...

On the other side of the train station was a disguised Blueblood who had heard everything.

"...Interesting. I suppose I'll be seeing what that six are really like as I explore Ponyville." Blueblood said before heading off in a different direction towards Ponyville.

Meanwhile, in an unknown location, a single colt with black fur and a cutie mark that was identical to that of fire but was instead of being colored red and orange like how fire is normally symbolized, the symbol was colored pure white.

"...Finally. I am here." He said, looking up at Ponyville Elementry. "...Ponyville Elementry." He said.
