My Little Pony: The Draconic Sister - Reboot

Spike groaned as he was sitting around Ponyville Park before Smolder showed up. "Why the long face, Spike? Something going on?" Smolder asked.

"Twilight just received two tickets to the grand galloping gala, and now your sister, Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack, and Fluttershy all want her spare ticket." Spike said.

"Hold up one moment, what about Rainbow Dash? I figured that since the Wonderbolts would be there and everything..." Smolder said.

"Yeah about that..." Spike said.

Earlier that day...

"Oof!" Rainbow Dash said as she flew into Applejack and Twilight. "Sorry about that you two. Doing some practice before the Grand Galloping Gala." Rainbow Dash said.

"Hey, I saw Twilight's second ticket first." Applejack said.

"Huh...I guess I should've expected Celestia to give Twilight two tickets as well." Rainbow Dash said.

"...What's that supposed to mean?" Applejack said.

With a grin Rainbow Dash took out two tickets to the grand galloping gala from her own being. "Luna's already hooked me up." Rainbow Dash said before also showing off the letter she got.

"'Rainbow Dash, there are some things I wish to speak to you about, and the upcoming Grand Galloping Gala celebrating my return seems like the perfect excuse to do so. As such, I invite thee to the event and include a ticket for you and one guest of your choosing. I hope you do not disappoint me. Signed Princess Luna'" Spike read off. "Huh...what do you know..." He added.

"Yep. Of course, I'm unsure of who I'm going to take with me, to be honest. I figured though if I'm going to be going, I might as well see if I can get to talk with Spitfire, Captain of the Wonderbolts. I have no idea what Luna is thinking of asking me about, but since I'm going to be going for official royal business and all..." Rainbow Dash said.

"Huh...I guess even you'd have your own reasons for going to the Grand Galloping Gala." Twilight said. "I'm hoping I'll be able to talk with Celestia. But who really knows what could happen outside of that. The possibilities are endless!" She added.

"You know it Twi. So Applejack, why do you want to go the Grand Galloping Gala?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well, ah was hoping to sell some apple products to raise money for the farm really; maybe earn enough to replace a few things." Applejack said.

"That's actually the best reason I've heard so far. Pinkie Pie simply wants to go because it's a party and Rarity wants to see if she can attract the attention of someone named Prince Blueblood. No idea who that is, but at least your reason is the least selfish one I've heard so far." Rainbow Dash said.

"Did you just mention Prince Blueblood?" Twilight asked.

"Do you know him, Twilight?" Applejack asked.

"Only too well. That spoiled prompus cousin of the Princess should never be considered royalty. Especially the way he always talked nasty in regard to Spike." Twilight said. "I should go warn Rarity." She added before heading off.

"...Hey Twilight wait!" Spike said.

Present time...

"...And as we were heading to Rarity's, we ran into both Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie on the way, and by the time I finally caught up to Twilight at your sister's place, Rarity was already talking about how much she didn't believe Twilight in regard to Prince Blueblood." Spike said. "Trust me, I still have a scar about it the one time I stuck up for a young colt he was trying to belittle that was in Celestia's school who was from far away." He said before showing off a scar in the shape of a hoofprint.

He...he stuck up for young colt?! He really does have the heart of a knight deep down. Wait, more importantly... Smolder thought to herself before she grapped Spike and hussled over to her sister's place. "Rarity, we need to speak with you!" Smolder said.

"Smolder, is that you?" A young filly asked.

"Oh. Sweetie Belle. Where's big sis?" Smolder asked.

"I think she said she was going to be at Twilight's place." Sweetie Belle said.

"I'll introduce you to Spike later then. For now, we got to go." Smolder said and dragged Spike off with her.

"...Ooookay..." Sweetie Belle said.

Sometime Later

"...I didn't think Rainbow Dash would willingly also follow what Twilight was doing." Smolder said.

"Me neither, but now everyone can go. Including the two of us." Spike said.

"So, Smolder, you said there was something you and Spike needed to show me." Rarity said.

"Yeah, what is that about?" Rainbow Dash said.

"Spike." Smolder said. Spike nodded and showed off his scar.

"Ah. Yes I remember when that happened. It was during my second year of Princess Celestia's school when a new student known as Sunburst had come into the system from way out of town. However, early on, Spike here stood up for Sunburst when Prince Blueblood was belittling Sunburst." Twilight said.

"Oh...oh my..." Rarity said. "I...deeply apologize Twilight. It seems you were right after all." She added.

"It's fine actually." Twilight said.

"Still, to stand up for one who couldn't defend themselves. That was so brave of you, Spike." Rarity said.

"It was nothing really. I just acted." Spike said.

"What's with you and defending others really? First you defend that colt, and then you defended me." Smolder said.

"When did Spike defend you, Smolder?" Rarity asked.

"When Nightmare Moon showed up. She almost blasted me, but Spike here grabbed a table and blocked the blast." Smolder said.

"Yeah that sounds like Spike. He's always defending others." Twilight said.

"I think we should go on a picnic at the park now." Pinkie Pie said.

"Not a bad idea." Rainbow Dash said.

"Then come on, let's go." Applejack said and the ponies go off.

"So...little sister huh?" Spike asked Smolder.

"Heh...Sweetie Belle already has this Button Mash guy after her. But I doubt your interested in her." Smolder said.

"Why would I be? She's not a dragon like you are. But I'd still defend her either way if she ever got in danger. I don't know why I defend so many like I do. I always do it on instinct, I swear." Spike said.

"You just keep telling yourself that." Smolder said before hugging him; causing the purple dragon to collapse into a collection of hearts. "Your still a doofus by the way." Smolder said. But your most certainly a knight at heart. She added in her thoughts.
