My Little Pony: The Draconic Sister - Reboot

It was currently recess time at Ponyville Elementary as the Cutie Mark Crusaders were spending the time thinking up new ways to earn their cutie marks when Diamond Tiara approached them; Silver Spoon was not with her.

"Seems the three of you are still a threesome of Blank Flanks." Diamond Tiara said.

White Flame then showed up with Button Mash and Rumble. "Again with your insults? Seriously Diamond Tiara?" White Flame said.

"Geez, how do you always show up as if right on cue. Besides, this time I'm not going to be insulting these three beyond that. Figured that since they seem so determined to get their cutie marks, they might consider doing an after-school activity to try and get their Cutie Marks and stop being Blank Flanks." Diamond Tiara said.

"An after-school activity? Like what?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well, that's actually why I'm here this time. See, after school, I run the Ponyville Confidential Newspaper and lately, I've been feeling like the paper has been missing something. That's when it doned on me when I remembered the three of you are looking for cutie marks: If you want to try it, I want to introduce a gossip section into the newspaper. You go around town, find juicy gossip to write about, and if I think it's juicy enough, I'll publish it in the newspaper." Diamond Tiara said.

"What I find a bigger mystery is why you're suddenly trying to butter up the Cutie Mark Crusaders with a little after-school labor." White Flame said.

"Hey, it's only labor if their getting paid for it. And I don't think a little in-school extra credit is considered payment. And besides, you never know: One of them might walk away with a brand-new cutie mark because of it." Diamond Tiara said.

"That's a fair and reasonable point you know." Rumble said.

"I still don't trust it. In fact, I'd advise against it. Something just smells of fishyness." White Flame said.

"Then we won't do it." Apple Bloom said.

"...Apple Bloom, you sure?" Scootaloo asked.

"Think about it: It's kind of out of the blue for Diamond Tiara to want to offer us positions with an after-school program and even going so far as to hang a potential cutie mark over our heads. Considering the amount of time she's bullied us, don't you find this a bit strange that she'd actually do something this nice just out of the goodness of her heart? My sister and brother didn't raise a dumb filly. I'm with White Flame: Something stinks about this." Apple Bloom said.

"Well, if you ever change your mind, I'm always around." Diamond Tiara said before leaving.

"...And there's one other reason: That was the one-time Silver Spoon has not been with Diamond Tiara. Which is a red-flag if I've ever seen one." Apple Bloom said.

"Now that you mention it, that is strange." Sweetie Belle said.

"Exactly. So ah can't trust that offer." Apple Bloom said.

"I wonder about something: What do you think the work at the program is really like?" Scootaloo asked.

"You aren't suggesting we sneak into her little hide-away and see what's really going on?" Button Mash asked.

"That's EXACTLY what I'm thinking. Besides, if we figure out Diamond Tiara is doing something mean spirited with it, we'll tell Miss Cheerilee and get the whole thing shut down or at least under different management." Scootaloo said.

"Considering it's Diamond Tiara, count me in." Rumble said.

"...Yeah, now that Rumble is in, I'm in too." Button Mash said.

"Consider me at your disposal as well." White Flame said.

I think our chances to find out the truth just skyrocketed. Scootaloo thought to herself.

The group secretly followed Diamond Tiara after school where they discovered inside was a bunch of other foals from school that were being basically slave driven by Diamond Tiara who was running the press with an iron hoof. After seeing this, the group got a ways away so the rich filly couldn't see them.

"I can't believe it, White Flame was right." Scootaloo said.

"I had a feeling. Call it intuiton. A filly like Diamond Tiara whose being spoiled rotten and used to getting her way suddenly offering the three of you a job? Something like that made me suspecious as hell." White Flame said. Scootaloo just looked at White Flame.

"Well regardless, we should tell Miss Cheerilee about this as soon as possible. And lucky for you, I know exactly where she lives in Ponyville." Rumble said.

"Really? That's convenient." Scootaloo said.

"Yeah, she lives right next door to White Flame's Uncle." Rumble said.

"...What are the odds?" Scootaloo mumbled to herself, but it went unnoticed.

The group then went to Miss Cheerilee and told her everything. With six ponies saying the same thing, Miss Cheerilee took it upon herself to see for herself, then immediately after seeing that it was fact, kicked Diamond Tiara off the editor's chair and put Pipsqueak in charge instead.

Later that same day, Scootaloo, Applejack, and Smolder were at the basement in front of the Pegasus's White Flame Board as she posted two more pictures. The first was of the former state of the Ponyville Confidential News Press and the other was of Miss Cheerilee's house with White Flame's Uncle's house being in the picture too.

"Things are still not adding up with White Flame. Not only are the chances his uncle is the neighbor to Miss Cheerilee already insane, but it's like he could tell something was up with the Ponyville Confidential News Press." Scootaloo said.

"It's like the more things that happen with him, the deeper this mystery becomes." Smolder said.

"Tell me about it. Sooner or later something has to give." Applejack said.

Meanwhile, elsewhere the purple ball of energy had stopped above Diamond Tiara's house before moving further on; heading to some kind of smoldering hot mountain range.

"If this is not Gareth, then at least the one who I sense will be a useful pawn." The Purple Energy Ball said as it traveled.
