Spike had been waiting for this. That's why he got something nice for Smolder.

"So, your really going to do this, huh?" Twilgiht asked.

"Yep." Spike said.

"Look at you...growing up. It's great." Twilight said.

"Twilight..." Spike said.

"Well then, take care." Twilight said.

Smolder was in the Town Hall, where a party for White Flame was being held. A "Welcome back to your homeworld" party to be percise.

Seriously, seems like Pinkie Pie will give for ANY excuse to throw a party; even if it's a party that only applies to White Flame. Smolder thought to herself.

"You know, I have to admit, White Flame having a previous life in this world where he got essentially the worst possible deck of cards, actually answers a lot of questions." Scootaloo said.

"We should probably let that go now. Kid's having a much better life now." Applejack said.

"True. So very true." Scootaloo said.

"Could've told you that a few weeks ago." Smolder said. Soon Spike & Twilight arrived.

"Where have you two been? The party's begun already." Pinkie Pie said.

"Sorry about that Pinkie. Spike had something he wanted to pick up on the way here." Twilight said.

"Oh really? Like what?" Pinkie Pie asked, but suddenly got her vibrations. "Whoa! I'm suddenly sensing a WHOPPER of a doozy." Pinkie Pie said.

"And that's why you'll find out pretty quickly." Twilight said.

Spike went over to Smolder. "Hey Smolder." Spike said.

"What's up Spike? What's Twilight talking about?" Smolder asked.

"Well, Twilight realized that knowing Pinkie Pie, she'd take any excuse to throw a party. Even if it's a party that would only ever work for White Flame and no pony else." Spike said.

"Duh! What kind of mare do you take me for? Of course I was going to throw this kind of party!" Pinkie Pie said. "It's meant as a reminder to White Flame that, this isn't the same world that he grew up with anymore."

"Been having that thrown in my face a lot while I've been living here. My parents are even considering letting me stay in Ponyville full time, considering all the friends I've made here." White Flame said. "I...I would like to give a speach to everypony if you don't mind."

"Mind holding off a bit? I want to ask Smolder a very important question." Spike said.

"...I see..." White Flame instantly understood.

"What's so important?" Smolder asked.

"Well Smolder..." Spike suddenly got out a very shiny ring. "Will you marry me?" Spike said. "I can think of no better time then right now."

"Y-you dork..." Smolder suddenly glomped Spike and began kissing him. A lot.

"I take it that's a yes?" Spike managed to ask.

"Of course it's a yes you knight in dragon armor you." Smolder said.

"...I could complain about how mushy this is...but for some reason it's not bothering me..." Rainbow Dash said.

"I was honestly about to say the same thing." Scootaloo said.

"That...that does mean a lot that you'd accept Smolder. And I can think of no better way to really state how much that means to me...then with my speech..." White Flame said.

"Whoa! The doozy is coming!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Attention every pony, can I have your attention please." White Flame said. Every pony turned their attention to the pony of the hour. "As you've been made aware, this used to be my home planet. And it was...much different than it is now." White Flame began. "But over the years I've spent here, I've met a lot of wonderful ponies. Some have grown to calling me a friend." He continued while the camera panned on Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "Others, I've known for a lot longer, to the point where they became my best friends." White Flame went on as the camera panned on Button Mash and Rumble. "And there are even a trio of fillies who really accepted me for the kind of pony I am." White Flame said as the camera panned over Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo. "And when Carrol died last winter, you all stuck by me...made me certain I could move on. And just now, Spike took this oppertunity to propose to Smolder." White Flame continued as the camera panned onto the cemented dragon couple. "You've made this world into a much better state then the way it was when I left it. And for that, I just have to say...thank you. Thank you all. This means so much to me. Because of you, I can finally shed the shadows of my past, and face the future; a future which looks brighter every passing day." White Flame said.

"Th-that was one heck of a doozy...AND IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL!" Pinkie Pie said, as she then bust out the water works.

"That was a very well done speech." Mane Alligold said.

"Getting me all tear eyed now...geez..." Rainbow Dash said.

"I'm not crying...your crying!" Scootaloo suddenly blurted as tears were constantly streaming down her face.

"Dang...way to really bring it all home huh?" Smolder asked.

"You said it. Here's hoping to some amazing years to come." Spike said. "No matter what comes our way, we'll be ready for it!" He said.
