It was a crisp and cool summer night in the city of Canterlot as a lone figure ran across a rooftop, hoping to remain unseen. She wore a red visor, with a red and orange suit with shimmering sun marks along with servals red spikes.

"Tell me there is something better, go ahead and try, 'How I Spent My Summer Vacation by Sunset Shimmer' I can sum up with one word I'm the Solar Eclipse!" Sunset Shimmer announces proudly. "It's the last night before school starts and I came really use some action."

The bank alarm sounded in the shine of the moon. Two masked men ran out the back door of the bank and into a dark alley. They chuckled while they carried the heavy sacks of money on their backs. As soon as they rested, they opened their bags and stared in awe at the green inside.

"Did I tell ya?" High Rise asked his partner. "One getaway jump from the next building and were home free and a million bucks richer."

"This million buck haul, after the boss takes his cut," Bit replied.

"Ah, shut up and jump."

Bit went first and was caught by a glow of red magic.

"Oh crud, not again!"

"Yep, again," Solar Eclipse exclaimed. "What is it High Rise, the third time month alone."

"Wait till I get hands, you skinny-little creep!" Bit shouted then Solar Eclipse slammed him to the wall and engaged against High Rise.

"So, High Rise, now tell me, was my new signal a little too much it's the first night trying it out, and not sure it screams friendly neighborhood.

Solar Eclipse dodged High Rise's incoming punch and used a levitation spell on the sack of stolen jewels and bashed it on the head.

"Be completely honest. With you having got trashed by me, I really valued your opinion."

At an unknown location, the action was being broadcast live.

"Is this live feed?" The figure asked then his flunkie nodded. "Then I have seen enough summon The Enforcers."

"Already on their way."

Just hours into the morning at MercerCorp

"I blame you for this!" Wallace Stout shouted at Sassy Saddles. "You told me to bring my magnetic transport here!'

"I know."

"You were supposed to set the meeting with Darrell Mercer."

"I had intentions to do so."

"He studied them and rejected every last one of them then announces MercerCorp tech-flight four months later?"

"I'm sorry for the development-"

"Don't you dare apologize, Ms. Saddles, MercerCorp has nothing to apologize for," Darell Mercer said.

"What, you stole my invention!"

"Stole, you hadn't one success under your name, and news flash, all work under my employment belongs to MercerCorp, it's in the fine print. If you didn't do anything as a young man, who going to believe that you're the genius behind tech-flight being old? Boys showed Mr. Stout the exit."

"Good news, I don't blame you anymore."

Also outside the school, aside from the morning peak students were having fun chilling, after the summer break. One of those people was a young woman named Applejack, a farmer at Sweet Apple Acres, she hadn't changed much in appearance since graduation and still wore her classic brown hat but she clearly seemed much wiser, being a young adult and all. At the moment she was currently scanning the crowd looking for her friends.

"Hey, AJ!" Someone called out.

The cowgirl turned around and smiled when she saw her Athletic friend known as Rainbow Dash walking over. "Well, I'll be, Rainbow Dash, ain't you a sight for sore eyes," she remarked as she and Rainbow embraced.

"Man, it's good to see you again." Rainbow expressed. "How's the farm?"

"Doing great," Applejack said.

"And what about your sister?" Rainbow inquired. "Staying out of trouble?"

"What do you think?" Applejack questioned with a raised brow.

Rainbow chuckled. "Yeah, I guess not," she said, amused.

"So, Rainbow, what have you been up to?" Applejack asked.

"Well, I've been trying to set up a soccer academy, you know give kids a fun thing to do after school," Rainbow said.

"Cool. That sounds like fun." Applejack

"Yeah… haven't a bit of trouble raising the money though." Rainbow shrugged.

"Just keep it up RD, you'll get there." Applejack assured her.

"Thanks," Rainbow said, sharing a smile with her

"APPLEJACK! DASHIE!" A loud voice yelled.

"Hey… that sounds like…" Rainbow began.

"Eeyup." Applejack confirmed before a certain pink-haired girl popped up near them and embraced them in a bone-crushing hug before lifting them...

"Ooh! It's so good to see you guys again!" she squealed.

"It's good to see you too Pink…" Applejack said, feeling the tightness of the hug.

"Yeah, really good…" Rainbow agreed before she finally released her and Applejack. They both rubbed their backs. "You know… I never thought I'd miss your hugs Pinkie."

Pinkie just smiled, happy to hear her friends' words.

"So Pink, what's new?" Applejack inquired.

"Ooh! I've been doing birthday parties for kids all over the place! One time, I even dressed up as a Pony, that looked like me!" Pinkie beamed.

"That… is creepy," Rainbow remarked, slowly. Applejack nodded in agreement while Pinkie smiled.

"Yoo-hoo! Girls!" Somebody said, in a sing-song voice nearby.

They all turned and saw their beautiful and fashionably forward friend Rarity walking over to them, causing every male head in the room to turn to her, even the ones who already had girlfriends causing them to get smacked.

"Hey, Rarity!" Pinkie Pie waved.

"Rarity! I didn't know you were gonna be back for our junior year." Applejack remarked.

"Well, the schedule at my new fashion job is hectic, but I wouldn't miss this for the world." Rarity said.

"Aw! That's so sweet!" Pinkie Pie gushed.

"You were expecting something else perhaps?" Rarity inquired, smiling.

"Not really, though I am expecting to get those new soccer uniforms I ordered." Rainbow pointed out, smiling. "And they better not be sparkly, ok?"

"You'll have them soon enough, I promise." Rarity assured her.

"So Rarity, how's the job?" Applejack inquired.

"Oh, it's exactly like saving the world… just replaced The Dazzling's with a pompous boss named Prim Hemline and a highly annoying fellow employee named Suri Polomare." Rarity stated, slightly agitated. "But forget them, I'm just glad to finally be back at Canterlot High after all this time!"

"Me too!" Pinkie Pie nodded. "But aren't we missing some of us?"

They all looked around and then someone softly cleared their voice to get their attention. They all turned and saw their shy friend, Fluttershy, standing right behind them.

"Uh… hi everybody…" The shy girl known as Fluttershy said.

"Fluttershy!" Pinkie cried, happily before she rushed over and gave her a bear hug and a lift into the air, also. "I can't believe it's you!"

"Uh… hi Pinkie…" Fluttershy said. "Could you… put me down now?"

"Ok!" Pinkie said before placing her back down. She smiled at her brightly while the others approached.

"It's good to see you again, Fluttershy." Applejack smiled.

"Yeah, how you've been?" Rainbow Dash asked, curiously.

"Oh… ok," Fluttershy said, shyly glancing at the floor.

"Ok? Come on, ya gotta tell us more than that," Rainbow told her.

"Yeah, come on girl, give us the deets!" Pinkie added, excited.

"But I don't have any deets, I'm deetless…" Fluttershy said, a bit intimidated by Pinkie's enthusiasm.

"Pinkie Pie, calm down, let Fluttershy calmly tell us what she's been doing all year." Rarity said.

"Oh… just doing more volunteer work… I'm even thinking about going to college to become a veterinarian like I originally planned." Fluttershy replied.

"A vet? Oh, wonderful darling! That's the perfect job for you, just like Sunset Shimmer said it would be!" Rarity told her.

"Yeah, it's practically your destiny or something." Applejack agreed, smiling.

"Thanks, girls." Fluttershy smiled, thankfully.

"Ok, let's see… there's Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Me, that leaves…" Pinkie began before someone suddenly spoke up nearby.

"Hey, guys."

They all turned and smiled when they saw her former enemy turned friend, Sunset Shimmer, who had now ceased wearing her leather jacket, approaching them with a smile.

"Sunset Shimmer, as I live and breathe." Applejack remarked, smiling. Sunset returned the smile as she and Applejack quickly embrace. "Good to see ya, sugarcube."

"Yeah, it's been a while." Rainbow agreed.

"How've you been?" Fluttershy inquired, shyly.

"Have you had fun?" Pinkie asked, interested.

"Yes, I had fun and it sure is good to be back together with you guys again after all this time." Sunset expressed.

"Likewise darling." Rarity agreed, smiling.

"So how have things been?" The former bully inquired.

"Oh, you know, same old." Applejack said. "I'm farming."

"I'm volunteering," Fluttershy added.

"I'm parting!" Pinkie chirped.

"I am designing the latest trend." Rarity said, proudly.

"And I'm starting my own soccer academy!" Rainbow boasted. "Well… trying to anyway. That reminds me a certain guy is trying to help me fund it that I need to talk with."

"Is it your boyfriend, Soarin?" Pinkie inquired.

"Pinkie!" Rainbow snapped, embarrassed. The girls all chuckled, amused.

"Well, I see you guys haven't changed." Sunset Shimmer remarked.

"Hey, why change perfection?" Rainbow pointed out, proudly.

"I have to agree with that, though with a different meaning of course." Rarity said.

"Yeah, we may have gotten older and wiser, but we're still the same and still friends." Applejack stated. The others nodded in agreement and smiled.

"Hey, do you think Twilight's gonna be here?" Sunset inquired.

"Doubt it, I hear she's in that fancy science scholarship trying to get her degree." Applejack said.

Then just as she said those words they noticed the Human Version of Twilight, who still wore her glasses, and had hair in a bun, she wore the same clothes as her pony self.

"Trying being the operative word, I'll tell you," she expressed. Everybody smiled when they saw her and Sunset quickly hugged her.

"Twilight!" she smiled.

"Hey, Sunset! Oh boy, I've missed you." Twilight said, happily. She turned to the others. "And you as well, girls."

"Aw, thanks! We missed you too!" Pinkie said, still as bubbly as ever.

"I see you've been keeping up your appearance after all this time, well-done darling." Rarity complimented.

"Thank you, Rarity." Twilight nodded. "Thought it looked nice, so why not wear it like the other me?"

"Good call. So how's getting your it's going?" Applejack asked, interested.

"Well, it's been hard but I've come up with a lot of good theories and I'm working on some pretty interesting stuff," Twilight said. "Don't worry, it's not techno sorcery, I promised I wouldn't make any more than a scanner and I haven't."

"Good, because you don't want to break a Pinkie Promise." Pinkie warned her.

"Really? Because I didn't get that after the hundreds of texts, the emails, and the hourly visits." Twilight remarked, deadpan. "Which, by the way, I did not appreciate the one when I was in the shower."

"You what!?" Rainbow asked Pinkie, shocked. The others looked at her, surprised also.

Pinkie smiled, sheepishly and chuckled. "Uh… Oopsie?"

"Yeah… wasn't exactly the highlight of my day…" Twilight said. She turned to Sunset. "And what about you, Sunset? What are you doing these days? Last I heard you were looking for part-time work."

"Yeah, it's been kinda hard trying to find one," Sunset confessed, depressed.

"Well, don't worry, I'm sure you'll find the right job," Twilight assured her.

"I hope so…" Sunset said, she paused for a bit then spoke in a more upbeat tone. "By the way, how are you and Flash doing Twilight?"

"Actually, we're doing fine," Twilight admitted. "Sure he's always on tour but we talk to each other every minute between when he's not practicing or playing in front of a huge crowd, so it's not so bad."

"But what if…" Pinkie began before Rainbow nudged her hard.

"What if he cheats on me while he's away? Don't worry, I know that hasn't and never will happen." Twilight stated.

"How did you…" Applejack began.

"I did my research on long-distance relationships and the pitfalls that come with it, but thanks to Applejack's advice and the books on lying I will always be able to determine whenever Flash is lying to me or not, which he isn't," Twilight explained. The girls looked stunned.

"Yep, you are Twilight Sparkle all right." Applejack remarked, impressed.

At nearby hangar.

"Come on in, gents the Kingpin wants a word. The Enforcers are here and encounter for."

"Thank you Tiger Claw, all right gentleman I'll get straight to the point for the last four months, a pest has plagued our operation, and at first I could hardly credit the reports."

"Thought the guys were trying to stiff us, I had to get rough to make sure there were sincere."

"Establishing patterns of the movement took all summer but last night we had live confirmation. The Solar Eclipse is real."

"And you want us to wrangle her up."

"No, Regina, I want you to smash her."

"Hours into the morning, Sunset, Twilight, and recently Sweetie Belle, were in science class, with Dr. Johnathn."

"Chapters one and two are due first thing tomorrow," The teacher said as the students left. "Ms. Shimmer, Ms. Sparkle? A moment with. I wondering if either of you remembers the field trip we took last year to the laboratory of Doctor. Stables?"

Sunset felt a little tense when he said, that was the moment that everything changed for her and her friends.

"Trust me, that is one field trip I'll never forget," Sunset replied.

"Me neither, the research was amazing," Twilight added.

"I'm glad you feel that way because he's offering two scholarships to promising high schoolers, I recommend my best students, you start this afternoon."

"Thanks for letting us crash at your place," Sunset thanked Travis. "We're not due at the lab for another hour."

"I'm surprised you're not working for the school newspaper, aren't you the best photographer."

"Let someone take pictures of Trixie and her performances or Team Rocket's classic screw-ups."

"All this stuff belongs to your dad, and he's a renowned scientist!" Twilight exclaimed as a mysterious figure came from the sky and grab Darelll right from his penthouse.

"Dad," Travis said in concern.

"What the heck that and what do we do now!?" Twilight exclaimed.

"No clue! Travis, call the cops! Go!" Sunset said to him. "Twilight go with if he asks where I'm at, tell him I'm chasing the creep by foot to keep track of his father, alright?!"

"Will, do! Please be careful!"

"I will," Sunset assured her Twilight left leaving the bacon hair girl all alone. "Alright, this is your first super-villain and saving your best friend's dad! So Focus!"

"Tell the truth, Mercer can your tech-flight can do this?!" The figure soared through the skies.

"Stout?"

"Not Stout, I'm Raptor!"

"Stout, what will this even accomplish?"

"A means to an end, Mercer something you know all about. You will announce to the world that Wallace Stout is the genius behind tech-flight, you will pay all that own! You will public apologize!"

"I never apologized, old man!"

"I may be old but not a patient one!"

Raptor drops him causing him to free fall. As Darrell fell, he was unaware of an arm wrapped around his back, pushing him back upwards. He opened his eyes, seeing purple and orange directly next to him.

"Wow, you guys play hot potato hardcore," Solar Eclipse exclaimed while her magic to hold him.

"What on earth!?" Raptor exclaimed as he followed. "These skies are mine!"

"Ever heard of sharing, didn't think so!"

"What are babbling about? Put me down!" Darrell barked.

"No offense you are the bossiest distress dude I've saved, also the ugliest and heaviest and the first."

"Who are you?" Darrell and Raptor asked.

"I'm Solar Eclipse!"

"Solar Eclipse, I thought you were a myth?"

"I need a press agent," as Solar Eclipse continues to dodge Raptor's pursuit.

"Can you put me down?" Darrell suggested. "He's catching up to us!" he grunted.

"I'll put you down as soon as possible!" she flew lower than usual, seeing the police station come to view. A police car was parked outside, with two officers sitting inside.

"Heads up!" Solar Eclipse drops him and then left.

"What's going on?" one of them asked.

"Explanation inside," Darrell said as they went inside.

...
...

"Looks beaks, I admire anyone who dresses like a favorite animal but still you can fly." Solar Eclipse said as he got in front of Raptor. "But I have to ask, what's your beef with him."

"It doesn't concern you!" Raptor shouted and went ahead.

"Beaks, don't fly away mad!"

"The name is Raptor!"

"That's great your's dad is okay as for me, I try to catch up on foot but it was useless, I'm running late, gotta go," Sunset cutoff her call with Travis and met up with Twilight. "Sorry about that."

"You really need to work on your timing."

"Barton, nice seeing you again," Sunset said to the former graduate.

"Likewise, Ms. Stables, Sunset Shimmer, and Twilight Sparkle are here."

"Great, Barton, great things about you."

Very much later.

"Well, at least something went right, now I need a photo of me in action, how hard can that be."

Meanwhile, Darrell's limousine was his penthouse.

"Are we clear?" Darrell asked.

"Mercer!" Raptor shouted.

"Go, go!" Darrell told the driver to speed up with Raptor following close.

"You won't escape me again!"

"My thoughts exactly," Solar Eclipse came right behind as a helicopter came right behind.

"Target sighted as last know location," Regina said. "Boys, let's us bring this sun down."

"Trick or treat!" Solar Eclipse kicked Raptor. "I mean you are wearing a costume around the time of Halloween."

"Or I'm not the one to talk."

Solar Eclipse grabbed Raptor's leg and hang on while The Eiltes'chopper closing.

"This has to be the strangest gig, the boss, ever gave us," Regina said. "We're flying with the freaks now guys, I have no idea what the big bird is all about, but I'm glad he's keeping our girl busy, firing net."

The chopper fried a net at Solar Eclipse trapping and dropping her to a nearby building.

"Slicker, Tauro, your up."

The other two members of the Elites drop and Slicker gives a quick kick to Solar's chest with Taro bearhugging her and Solar got catches a whisk of breath.

"Dude, if you needed a breath mint, you just ask."

Slicker draws his staff, just as Solar gave Tauro an aura punch, then fires spheres of magic at Slicker which dodges them all.

"Well, that's impressive." As Solar Eciplse back up a bit only for Regina to fried on the ground.

"Sorry, lass, the guys need cardio work, no need to tail."

"Seriously who are guys?"

Slicker came in and strike his staff at her, but Solar dodged it and used her magic to slam into a wall knocking him out.

"Love to stay a chat, but there's a dude in bird costume so need..."

Tauro grabbed hold of her and tightened his grip.

"Okay buddy, your strong but I bet you can't do this!"

Solar did a small flame burst through him and cause him to fall down.

"Didn't think so."

"Kid, you making the Enforcers look bad, I can't have that," Regina told her as she followed right behind her as they caught up with Raptor.

"You will apologize!" Raptor tore right through the limousine.

"I won't!" Darrell shot back then Solar jumped into the car.

"Man, this was talk about a sweet ride," Solar said the pushed Raptor out of there.

"Why do you defend that thief, Mercer!"

Raptor slice a piece off her suit.

"Uncool, do you have any idea, how much of these things cost to get stitch!?" As Regina fired bullets at her. "This is one night that been unexpectedly crazy but one thing for I can't sit by, let someone hurt the people I care about."

Then Solar got Raptor's back.

"Surf's up!"

"There, the car park, move it!" The car went into the garage missing Raptor's grasp.

"No, this is all your fault!"

Both Regina and Raptor came around and surrounded her.

"Two birds, one stone."

Regina fired blasts from her chopper, which she dodged and Raptor tried to punch her but his fist got caught in a window, then vanish right in front of Regina.

"Where did she get to now?" Regina asked as Raptor got free and saw Solar Eclipse was holding the landing deck.

"Did you really think you can hide from me, there?"

Solar got in his back and forced his right wing into the chopped forcing him to fall down.

"My wing, I can't steer!"

"Yeah, but your still airborne," Then she heard the humming. "Oh, Feathers, your back is humming."

She pulled out the source.

"You idiot, you doom us both!" As they fall.

"Dude, you haven't been paying attention," Solar Eclipse snapped her fingers and she and Raptor were on a nearby rooftop. "Now stay here, and think about what you have done."

Moments later at Sunset's house.

"So far, I was brought down three jerks, the fourth one could go anywhere, but who were they and what's there beef with me, but as Rainbow would say take the small victories, and with these photos, the money won't be a problem for now. Next thing, got to get some shut-eye." As Sunset got into her bed and fell
