Survival Dull's Story

(“Friendship is Magic… Why does everyone believe that shit. I don’t understand why no one sees its flaws.”) Thought a 30-year-old man wearing a suit and holding a briefcase, dull purple skin, black hair, and crimson eyes leaving a building looking depressed as he was walking to his car. *SIGH* He looked to see an old billboard showing the Rainbooms on it. “60 years and it’s still there.” He said as he got in his car, started it, and drove away. As he was driving, the man was remembering his youth.

(“My name is Dull; well, I should say my (new) name is Dull. I’m a miserable excuse of a human being to The Magic of Friendship shit because I refuse to accept it. It’s been about 60 years since nearly everyone on the planet believes Friendship is Magic by the Rainbooms, a musical band that has magic from a parallel dimension. No offense to those fans who believe in that magic and its perfect with no flaws, but I viewed it as it has a flaw. Why do I have something against it, well…? I’m Twilight Sparkle’s Grandson by blood. Well… I’m no longer her grandson after my family except her disowned me at the age of 15. I was the outcast of the family for questioning against their believe, my parents complained that I should never question friendship and whip me with their belts or rulers for talking bad about friendship.”)

FLASHBACK, 15 YEARS AGO AT THE PARK, IN THE AFTERNOON
A 15-year-old teen was looking depressed and sitting on a swing in the playground in a park with some bruises and a blackeye, sobbing as he noticed a shadow coming towards him. He looked up to see an old woman with gray hair and a bang on it, holding a cane to stabilize herself as she looked worried. “Dusk! What’s happened to you?” She asked as Dusk looked at her.

“Oh… hi Grandma Twilight.” Said Dusk as he looked away from her. “It’s nothing. I fell.” He replies as Twilight didn’t believe him.

“Dusk… I’m your grandma, please tell me the truth.” She demanded as Dusk sighed.

“Okay. Mom and Dad did this to me, along with my sister, Eventide.” He said as Twilight looked shocked.

“WHAT! Why would they do that?!”

“I don’t believe Friendship is Magic.” Said Dusk as Twilight placed her hand on his shoulder.

“Tell me why?” She asked as Dusk looked at her.

“I’ve been noticing that some friendships are starting to become… toxic.” Said Dusk as Twilight looked surprised. “I know that Friendship is Magic, and you and your friends always show the good of it.” He explained as Twilight smile “But… I never know why you or any of the other aunties show the bad in Friendship.” Twilight frowned hearing that but realized that’s true.

“I… I never thought of the possibilities of something bad in Friendship. Maybe my pony counterpart hasn’t realized it.” She said as she did see some friendships that showed some toxicity; nothing involving Loyalty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty, Magic nor Empathy. “I guess we failed without noticing. We only showed the good and haven’t seen or taught the bad until it’s too late and someone else noticed it.” She said as she frowned and looked at her grandson “I’m sorry. I should have been a good grandmother.” She said as Dusk patted her on the shoulder.

“No Grandma, this isn’t your fault. It’s those who chose to use violence against those who chose not to believe in Friendship. Like me, I’m one of them.” Said Dusk as Twilight stared at him and smiled.

“Don’t worry Dusk.” Said Twilight “I have a plan that not even your parents and sister can ever touch.” She said as she kissed Dusk on the head.

“Grandma…” Said Dusk while being embarrassed.

“Sorry but I must go. When you’re my age, you'll no longer sleep late after experimenting.” She said as she walked away from her Grandson “I love you forever.” She said as Dusk looked at her

“I love you too.” Said Duck as he sighed as he saw the sunset. “I wonder if I could make some friends that aren’t friendship obsessed.” He said as he watched the sun go down.

*Sobbing*

Dusk turned to see someone crying on a bench.

END OF FLASHBACK
Dull sighed as he parked his car to a building with a neon sign that said, ‘Crooked Bar’. Dull entered the bar as it was filled with drunken people and smoke. He walked to a table with 2 people sitting there: a tall and large muscular woman with Apricot skin, DD cup rack, Maroon red Spiky Pixie hair and Eggplant eyes and a short skinny man with Tea green skin, Umber Bowl Cut hair and Mink gray eyes were drinking liquor. Dull grabbed a seat and sat down. “Hey, love couple.” Said Dull as they turned to Dull.

“Dull!” Said the short man as the large woman smiled.

“Hey Dull.” She said as he looked at their hands which had wedding rings on it.

“Bloody Chops (Age: 29) and Green Fields (Age: 25) Happy to see you two again.” He said as Blood Chops frowned.

“I wish you would stop calling me that.” Said Bloody Chops.

“Yeah, but you said if I call you Pork Chops, you’ll punch me in the nose.” Said Dull as Green comforted his wife.

“You did express yourself in a violent way, dear.” He said as Bloody sighed.

“I knew I shouldn’t have said that before I got in shape.” She said as Dull laughed.

“Well, it was for your wedding day, but the abs were a bit overkill.” He said as Green held his wife’s hand.

“I wanted it to be perfect. I guess the extra workout and extra shifts at my job was a bad idea.” Said Bloody as regretted her actions.

“Also, I’m surprised that no one questioned whether a vegetarian herbalist married a slaughterhouse worker.” He said as Green and Bloody nodded by that question.

“Well, I think it’s because of how fit Chops is, they think of a workout trainer instead of that.” Said Green as Bloody nodded.

“I’m one misunderstood being.” She said as she ordered some food and beer. “Want anything? I’m buying.”

“Water only. I finally got some time off and I don’t want to waste it being drunk.” He said as they nodded.

“I still think that Black Company you’re working for is a bad idea.” Said Green as he ate his salad.

“I want to work somewhere else, but…” Dull turned to see a bar keeper had the ‘Friendship is Magic’ Banner across a wall. “I don’t want to be forced to believe.” They turned to see what Dull was talking about.

“Oh… Yeah, I agree with you on that.” Said Bloody “I have been noticing that saying has been getting involved in violent attacks. Some people have been hurt because of it.” She said as she noticed she was getting some glares.

“And speaking shit about it, causes some random attacks.” Said Dull as they decided to keep quiet as Bloody showed her fist as the punks as they backed off. “At least I’m getting a vacation that I deserved. I can plan for my surprise.” He said as Green and Bloody looked concerned.

“What’s surprising?” Asked Bloody as Dull showed them a small box.

“I’m gonna ask my girlfriend the big question.” He said as both Bloody & Green as they were surprised and clapped for him.

“We hope she said yes.” Said Green as Bloody looked worried.

(“That is… if she isn’t one of them heartless sluts because of her job.”) Thought Bloody.

15 Minutes Later
Dull, Green & Bloody went their separate ways as Dull drove in crowded roads until he went to a large parking lot. Dull left the parking lot and entered the building next to the parking lot. He walked up to the elevator as he headed for the top floor. Dull exited the elevator, headed down the hall, pulled out his key and opened the door while locking it behind him. “*SIGH* I need some rest.” He said as he turned on the lights to see a simple living room with a couch and Smart TV on a stand, Dull plop on the couch. “I need this.” He said as he heard some music.

Dull looked around as he felt something soft behind them. He moved forward and turned around to see a tall voluptuous female in a bathrobe with Ebony Skin, Pink Blossom Afro, Ivory eyes, plump red lips, J-cup, and big bubble ass. “GAH!”

“What’s wrong baby? Didn’t like my surprise?” The lady asked as Dull blushed as looked down.

“No… I don’t but I didn’t know you would do that, Honey Stacks (Age: 27).” He said as Honey sat down on the couch, she patted the cushion next to her and wanted Dull to sit next to her.

“Come here baby. I just want to cheer you up since you’ve been exhausted because of your job.” She said as Dull sat down.

“Well… thanks for your surprise.” Said Dull as Honey hugged him.

“You’re welcome.” She said as Dull hugged her back as she pushed him on the rug.

“Honey?!” He said as she was on top of him.

“Time for your real surprise!” She said as she untied her robe and kissed Dull in the lips.

1 hour and 5 climaxes later
Dull was sleeping in his bed while hugging Honey Stacks, naked. She was staring at Dull and kissed him on the forehead. She got herself free from Dull’s hug, folded Dull’s clothes as a small box fell from his pocket. She picked it up and opened it as it revealed a ring and a small note that said, ‘Will you marry me?’. Honey stared at it and started to cry. “Oh… Dull…” She said as she put it back in Dull’s pants pocket, grabbed her clothes and left crying. “I’m sorry.”

Morning
Dull woke up as he stretched a bit, he noticed Honey was gone. He sighed unhappily “I forgot to ask her. I hope I can ask her a big answer.” He said as he noticed the time was 9:29AM. “I guess I had a really good sleep.” He said as he got dressed in casual clothes; A purple T-Shirt with long navy blue jeans, black sneakers and went to the kitchen to see water on the floor. “What the?” He opened the freezer to see his frozen food was starting to thaw. “Is the power out?” He wondered as he flipped the light switches to see no lights were turning on. “Great… the power is out of this apartment.” I better call the manager.” He said as he grabbed his phone to see no signal. “No signal? And no WIFI?!” He noticed his router was off and the TV wasn’t turning on. “What’s going on?” He said he decided to check outside. He opened the curtains to reveal buildings were damaged, vehicles were wrecked and smashed up, explosions & massive smoke appeared in the sky. “Holy… Fuck…” He said as he looked down to witness people getting attacked by unknown creatures and getting killed, he backed away from the window. “What the hell is going on?! Is it the apocalypse?! The end of the world?!” He said as he fell to the floor. “Is the world coming to an end? Is it because we allow something not from our dimension to tant our way of life?” He questions as he hears some banging on the door. Dull turned to it as he was starting to worry “Is it someone looking for survivors? Or looters trying to survive?” He said as a screen appeared in front of him.

“What the?” Said Dull as cards with pictures of people on it with fantasy-theme clothes and a number of stars on it appeared around him as he looked to see what they were. “What is this crazy shit?” He said as he noticed a card that was blank. “What’s this on?” He said as he grabbed it as it shined and vanished.

“What’s a Synergist?” He wondered if a Forging Hammer appeared from nothing. “A… hammer?”

*BASH*

Dull turned to see a hole in his door as a monstrous creature that he had never seen in his life was trying to crawl in his house.

“HOLY CRAP!” He screamed as the creature pulled a knife from its pocket and started hacking the door to enter. “SHIT!” He yelled as he went to the kitchen, grabbed a large kitchen knife, attacked the creature by stabbing it in the neck as green blood poured down the door. “This is messed up.”

“Okay… so no bonus points. This isn’t a game, it's reality.” Said Dull as he opened his inventory and collected everything in the apartment. Even knives and utensils in case of other survivors and clothing. Dull opened his ring box and stared at the ring. “Honey…, Green…, Bloody…, Kyo…, I hope you’re all still alive.” He said as he looked at the goblin corpse and pulled it into the empty apartment, examine the corpse for hidden loot or weapons until a screen appeared.

Reminder: there are Mana Stones within the monsters, located at the heart.

“Fuck…” Said Dull as he put on rubber gloves, pulled out the Goblin Knife and did a harvest by hand. He pulled out a small crystal pebble.

Harvest an F-Grade Mana Crystal

“Yuck.” He said as opened the window and tossed the corpse out the window.” He closed it and looked disgusted as he heard some roars from below. Dull stood close to the wall and peek to see more goblins were examining the body of one of their kind and pointed to the top of the apartment. Some decided to climb while others entered the apartment. “Great…” He said as he grips both the kitchen and goblin knife as he locked the windows in the apartment. One of the goblins stopped by his window and tried to break in but couldn’t. It climbed to the top as Dull stood prepared. Some goblins passed his door, but one stopped and looked in the hole, only to get stabbed between the eyes.

Dull took its knife and harvested the Mana Stone while leaving its corpse in the hole. “I gotta get out of here.” He said as he looked, he pulled out a small gift from his Grandma. “I never opened this when she passed away. I wonder what it is?” He opened it and looked shocked. “IS THAT!?!?!?”
