Dusk shed a tear as he took out the geode from the box. “I may not believe in that crap, but I won’t disappoint her or let that tramp of a sister and parents get this.” He said as he put it on and felt some of its magic as he looked at it.

I need something to sheath it.” He examined the goblin corpses and found some sheathes for its knives. “This will do.” He said as he collected 3 of the Mana Stones and the knives and created another Goblin Knife+1 and put the extra in his Item Inventory as he wielded both knives in his hands. Dull went down as he attacked any goblin in his way. “I wish I didn’t choose to live on the top floor.” He said as he checked some of the other rooms for survivors.” He said as he checked some rooms.

Dull managed to leave his apartment by himself (killing 10 goblins in his way) as he was the only one who left; he found some survivors, but they refuse to leave as they hope for the military, the police or the Magic of Friendship will save them. Dull was annoyed by their prayers that friendship will save them, but he just left them to die. (“I should feel guilty that they’ll die because of their dumb believe but I doubt it will work in the Apocalypse. Morons.”) He thought as he looked at his stats. “I’ve reached level 2 and instead of stats increasing, I must pick a level up card. How old school are these powers?” He said as he remembered his choices

“What the fuck?!” He said as he checked the count down. “Monsters will get stronger at the Car Lot?” Said Dull as he remembers where the Car Lot was. “It’s at least 5 miles to Automatic’s Car Lot. Hmm… I guess I might get stronger by the time I get there.” He said as he headed to the lot but remembered that there’s a supermarket at least 2 miles away from the lot. “I can gather some food if the monsters didn’t eat all of it.” He said as he headed towards the mall as he stopped at a bicycle store was smashed in. Dull grabbed a mountain bike and pedaled to the mall. “I wonder if I’m not the only one who grabbed a card? I mean I can’t be the only one who picked a card.” He wondered as he stopped to see some people that managed to fight off some of the goblins. Dull hid in an alley for certain reasons; people in the apocalypse tend to drop their sanity.

“This is hell!” Yelled a brawly looking man wielding an ax.

“Oh, shut the fuck up!” Yelled a thin man with a long sword said to the brawny man “We’re strong to kill these monsters.” He said as a woman holding a dagger shove them apart.

“Shut it you dickheads! Remember what that gate said. If we kill that monster, we’ll be out of this shit hole of a city!” She said as they smiled. “Besides with our synergy, we can’t lose.”

(Synergy? What the hell is that?”)

“After we save the people, I hope to have some bitches to bang.” Said the brawly man as they all laughed and left. Dull was disgusted and sighed.

“Knew it. The sanity of people is dead.” Said Dull as he collected some of the goblin knives from the goblin corpses that group left behind. “Don’t those people know resources when they see them?” Dull collected 10 Goblin Knives, the Mana Stones and some knife sheaths as he headed to the supermarket.

15 Minutes Later, 1 mile
Dull was panting as he got off the bike. “I guess I got my grandma’s lack of energy in exercising. Should have known since magic is considered their strength.” Said Dull as he made some new improvements on the Goblin Knives.

“Who's there?!” He said as a woman with teal skin, an ivy green ponytail and bronze eyes in a police uniform holding a book while pushing a young man who has pale gray skin, messy orange hair and Rice Milk eyes on a wheelchair holding a wooden wizard staff.

“Hello, I'm an officer… actually just call me Maxine or Max (Age: 23).” She said as the man looked scared “This is my husband, Specter (Age: 21).” Specter waved as Dull looked at them and nodded.

“Dull.” He said as they looked offended. “That’s my name, Dull.”

“Oh…” She said as Specter mouthed it out. “Sorry, my husband is mute and we’re the only ones that survive in this area.” She said as her husband looked at Dull.

“Yeah, I came from the Grimsley Apartments, a mile from here. I’m trying to find some of my friends and… lover(s) and praying they’re still alive." He said as Max looked at the bike. “I’m trying to take out the monster boss of this area to go to the next.” Max was shocked by that.

“Are you crazy!? It will kill you and guns won’t help you!” She said as Dull looked confused.

“What?” as she sighed.

“Listen, after what happened at 6AM. All matters of guns were useless, even with bullets.” She said as she pulled on out and tried to shoot at a smashed car but didn’t fire. “See, nothing. Apparently after those cards appeared, My man and I picked a card. I picked ‘Elemental Mage’ while my husband got ‘War Wizard’.” She said as Dull remembered the stars on the card.

“How many stars? I mean those cards had stars on them. How many stars were on your card?” Asked Dull as Specter pointed at his wife and held one finger and himself four fingers.

“My card was blank. Like it was something never seen.” Said Dull quietly as he looked at them. “So, what skills did you get from the cards?” He asked as Spector gave him a notebook that had the skills he had.

They were more obsessed with themselves than innocent lives.” She said as they looked at the destruction. “All these people died because of this apocalypse and survival is imminent.” Dull looked at her and had an idea.

“I got an idea. If we work together, I can help with these wrecked cars.” He said as Spector looked confused as Dull pulled out his hammer and went to work. Both couples were amazed by what he did as he cleared the way of debris.

Dull and his new party made it to the shopping center as some of the stores’ glass windows were smashed as they found a bar that was smashed up from the inside but had scorch marks on the outside. “I’m thinking that some of the survivors must have made Molotov cocktails to set the monsters on fire.” Said Dull as Max looked at scorch marks.

“Normally this is considered a crime but given the state of the world, it’s a must.” She said as Specter rolled to an auto store to see some things smashed up. Dull walked to collect some Car Batteries as he placed them in a parking lot as Max helped. “I think that’s all the batteries that aren't leaking. How are you going to make something with these?” She asked as Dull took out all the Metal Ingot he collected and rubber tires.

“97 Ingots, 52 Tires & 9 Car Batteries. I’m going to work.” He said as he began his craft as a Timer appeared over him.

Work: 2 Hours

“What?!” Said Max “Then what are we supposed to do?” She said as Dull tossed them old books; literature, Manga, Comic from 60 years ago.

“You both have my MP Recovery Rate, you can create a barrier to protect us and attack monsters that will keep on approaching. Plus, you can practice your skills.” Said Dull. We can get stronger.” He said as Specter used his magic to create a barrier around them as they waited while Max decided to practice her skills.

2 Hours Later
“All done!” Max was practicing her magic as she fired a sphere of water in the shape of a soccer ball at some wreck cars as Specter was reading an old Garfield the Cat book. They both looked to see a large metal caravan that fused with a van metal armor to mow down the monsters, with side windows, as it has 8 wheels with armor shielding to prevent them getting punctured with knives.

“This will be one violent ride!” Said Max as she helped her husband in the caravan as Dull took the wheel. He turned on the newly built ride as it roared as it slowly moved as it rolled out the parking lot.

“It works!” He said as they drove to the supermarket while mowing down goblins in their way as they smashed through the glass entrance.

Dull grabbed a shopping cart as he looked around to see some can and bag food got ripped open or wasn't on the shelf.

“We better collect as much food as we can.” Said Max as she looked around for food. “And we better take some pots and pans to cook them on it.” She said as she looked to grab some food as a goblin attacked her.

*ROAR*

Max punched it in the face as she grabbed its knife and stabbed it in the neck.

Also, I don’t have that many resources like metal but with the tires, I have an idea to craft.” Said Dull as he grabbed a loaf of bread as he pulled out his hammer, the tires and got to work. Dull was hammering away fast as Specter used his magic to protect the group as goblins tried to dog pile them but slid down on them as both he and Max went to kill the goblins surrounding them.

“Your husband is impressive.” He said as he floated above them with a smirk as they continued to collect any can and box food as they could while Specter viewed from above to attack any goblins that were planning ambushes on the shelves. As Max and Dull collect food, Max witnesses all the corpses around them that aren’t goblins.

“These poor people. They didn’t deserve to die from this… hell.” Said Max as she witnessed a corpse of a child as she covered her mouth in horror. Dull frowned as he looked to see some meat, vegetables, and fruits were eaten as they collected their canned versions and water.

*SLASH*

“Huh?” They said as they witnessed 2 people were fighting some goblins; one was holding a potted plant as long vines stretched out and hanging some goblins as a muscular woman was slashing goblins with a massive jagged sword.

“Wait… GREEN?! BLOODY?!” Yelled Dull as they turned to see Dull.

“DULL!” They spoke as they hugged him and he hugged them back as Max and Specter looked at Dull.

“Are these friends of yours?” Asked Max as Dull turned to them.

“These are my pals from his college days. This is Green Fields and his wife, Bloody Chops.” He said as they looked at him with raised brows as Bloody looked at him.

“Say my real name! There’s no signals anywhere, so no one can post humiliating videos.” She yelled at him.

“Fine… Pork Chops.” He said as they looked at her and her belly.

“Yeah… I know the irony.” Said Bloody as she rubbed her belly and smacked her abs. “I wanted to fit in my wedding dress, so I went overboard.” She said as she put away her sword.

“Uh… understandable. I’m Officer Maxine and this is my husband, Specter.” She said as he waved at them. “He’s mute and was still in the middle of healing after an accident involving a wax floor and a lazy-ass custodial.” She said as Specter clenched his fist in rage. “We would have sued her but she hanged herself because it was better than getting the death penalty.” She said as she noticed Dull, Green & Bloody backed away. “She had a record that got her 35 years in a cell. She rather kill herself than the law kill her as her way of saying ‘Fuck you all to hell’.” She explained.

“I can see that.” Said Dull as he turned to Green & Bloody. “Can you explain to me how you 2 survived through this hell?” He said as they both looked at each other.

“Okay, we’ll explain.” Said Green.
