“And that’s how we got here.” Said Bloody as she grabbed some liquid soap of laundry and dishwashing in a shopping cart. Dull was amazed by what he heard.

“I’m grateful that you 2 are still alive but after hearing what you said, you don’t mind if we could live with you as a temporary HQ for what we’re facing.” He asked as Green liked the thought but Bloody didn’t like it.

“How will you contribute?” She said as they looked at him. “We’re now in a magical apocalypse and if I see those Mad Max Films, society has gone crazy, and morality is dead; survival is imminent. Forgive me but betrayal is now easily a thing.” She said as she crossed her arms as Dull stared and nodded.

“Yeah that’s true. Also, any fool who believes friendship will save them is ignorant to survival.” Said Dull as he pulled out his mallet. “I can increase the durability and strength of weapons and managed to create a vehicle that’s powered by car batteries. If I can upgrade your place with defenses and rescue some survivors who are willing to help and fight whatever we’re going through.” Said Dull as Max and Specter looked at each other.

“I like your idea of saving lives, but you also must be careful of some people who will steal and want to take over the base.” Said Max. “My husband can create a barrier to protect the base and the people from monsters and enemies, but we don’t know who will be powerful enough to take it down.” She explained that as they were helping in collecting anything salvageable.

“She’s right.” Said Dull “Before I met any of you, I seen some people that could fight those goblins and one of them even said to rape some women as they all laugh.” He said as they were immediately disgusted to hear that. “I know what’s happening. Laws are worthless and the police cannot use any guns to threaten anyone to surrender without getting a bullet in through the head. They’ll try to kill us for food and land, but we must show them that we’re not easy prey for them to take down so easily.” He preached as he noticed a broken shopping cart and hit it with his mallet as it was repaired in an instant. “Now let’s collect anything that’s salvageable.” He said as moved it and collected some jars of jams, jellies, and peanut butter. Green and Bloody went to collect some non-perishable and preservative food and drinks as Max and Specter aid with the salvaging. As they were collecting, Dull noticed a goblin was collecting some bandages as it noticed Dull was watching him as it sneaked off without alerting his comrades. “Hmmm…” Max noticed Dull was staring off into space.

“What’s wrong?” Asked Max.

“I think a goblin was collecting supplies.” Said Dull as they all decided to follow it. They found where its base was, it was where the manager and employees eat in the back. They found a little kid telling the goblins what to do while a chubby man was wrapping a female employee of the store of a wound.

“Survivors!” The group said as survivors and the goblins turned to them as the goblins snarled at them.

“Stop it!” Yelled the kid as they stopped as Dull placed his knife on the floor.

“We mean no harm; we’re rounding up any survivors who are willing to help and not pray for friendship to save them.” He said as his friends rolled their eyes.

“Ignore him.” Said Bloody “We’re here to collect some food and fighting to live.” She said as the kid walked up to them.

“Uh… my mama said I can’t talk to strangers.”

“It’s okay dear.” Said the female employee. “We are the only survivors in the market. After all this horror happened, we tried to hold out.” She said as the chubby man helped her to stand up. “We were many, but the people and my co-workers were… unfortunate to work together. I am Preps, that’s my son, Tony and this is Mr. Gourd, a customer who stayed with us.” She said as the chubby man waved his hand.

“Did any of you grabbed a card that appeared out of thin air?” Asked Green as they nodded.

“I… uh… grabbed a card of a doctor with 2 stars.” Said Mr. Gourd.

“I’ve grabbed a card with a chef on it with 1 star.” Said Preps “While my son got a card with a man with a whip with 3 stars.” She said as Tony looked at the goblins.

“I… do not know what happened? When those scary goblins try to attack mommy. I said stop and some of the goblins attack their friends and help mommy and Mr. Gourd.” He said as Dull looked at him.

“Perhaps the card Tony grabbed was a Monster Tamer Job. He can tame monsters into helping them instead of killing them.” He explained as the kid looked scared. “We need to leave this place.” He said as Mr. Gourd stood up.

“To where?! In case you forgotten, all forms of electricity in this city are gone.” He said as they looked at him, but he covered his mouth. “Sorry. We’ve been eating snacks and vegetables that haven’t gone bad.”

“Well, we’re in luck.” Said Green “I- we have a base where we have some food growing and protection.” He said as they looked at him. “I own a warehouse that is converted into a large Greenhouse that generates electricity from solar energy.” He said as they looked shocked.

“REALLY?!” They said as they turned to Dull who nodded.

“I can reassure you that it’s safe. Got shocked from the fence for being cocky.” He said as Bloody snickered. “But one of the building owners will have to go with you.” He said as Green & Bloody turned to him with glares. “Just to make sure that there’s no betrayal or sabotaging since trust is now a weak subject.” Said Dull as he picked up his knife and started to walk out but stop as he turned to Tony. “Uh, be sure to bring in the good goblins in so I don’t hurt them, please.” He asked as Tony waved his hand towards him as 4 goblins that had a collar around its neck went towards Tony and went behind him.

“They’re all here.” He said as Dull pulled out his mallet to get to work.

“We’re gonna need some carts to put in all the preserved foods. Also, we’re gonna set the rotting meat in flames to attract any monsters hiding to ambush us as we’re gonna need to level up.” Said Dull as they all nodded and went to work.

1 Hour Later
Dull managed create 3 iron version of wooden carts while Bloody & Maxine managed to burn some rotting mean as they blast and slash as Mr. Gourd, Preps and Tony with his goblins watch them but were a bit scared as they look like veteran fighters in a day.

Dull smirked as he turned to them as he smirked “I have the plans to create our defenses.” He said Tony’s goblins were carrying his mother to the vehicle as Gourd helped by carrying food and medical supplies.

“I hope your safehouse is actually safe.” Said Gourd as he earned some stares. “Sorry but this apocalypse is starting to affect my hopes and I don’t know if that magic of friendship can revive those who died?”

“It doesn’t.” Said Dull “Not even that crap can cheat death.” He said as they all think about it and realized no one, not even friendship can undo death. “Now let’s get everything we can carry.” Said Dull as they managed to gather nearly everything salvageable in the market. Bloody managed to butcher the goblins for their edible meat and salt to preserve them from going bad until they make it back to the warehouse.

“All done! We’re going as soon as everyone is prepared!” Yelled Bloody as Tony looked at the store as his mother hugged him.

“It’s alright dear. We’re saved.” She said as Mr. Gourd looked at the building.

“I’m worried about those who come here to find supplies.” He said, “They’ll might be ambushed by those goblins.” Said Gourd as he was right.

“That is a problem.” Said Max.

*SNARL*

They turned around to witness a group of 15 goblins but a bigger one carrying a spear with a huge salamander creature with a chain around its neck.

“Oh boy…” They said as Dull pulled out his knives.

“It looks like we found some of the stronger Goblins and they are nasty.” He said as the large goblin roared as its minions charged and its leash pet. “MEET THE DEVIL FOR ME!” He screamed as he slashed and stabbed his way through them. Bloody was a bit scared.

“How much anger had he been holding in?” She asked as Green shrugged his shoulders as the big goblin snarled as it raised its fist in the air as a magic circle appeared from a rope wristband as the goblin minions’ eyes glowed.

The Goblin Chief has activated the skill Wild Berserker.
All the monsters (Goblins) under its command have been buffed.

The Goblins had gotten stronger as Dull backed away as Bloody, Green, Max, & Specter aided him in the fight as they kept the Giant Salamander & Goblin Minions away from Dull, he looked at the Goblin Chief. (“Wait… could that be its power.”) Dull pulled out the Iron Ingots from his Storage Skill and created a large Claymore as he charged at the goblin Chief and threw a knife at it. The Chief swat it away with its spear but Dull slashed its hand off.

*ROAR*

The Chief screamed in pain as the magic circle disappeared, making the goblin minions lose their extra strength as Dull dropped the sword and threw his leveled-up Goblin Knife at its face as it pierced through its neck. It screeched and fell as Dull pulled his knife from its neck “And that’s why Friendship is useless in survival.”

The remaining Goblins got scared and fled as the Salamander roared at them as it tail-whipped Blood, Green, Max & Specter away as it headed towards the food. “IT HEADED FOR THE CARTS!” Tony ran towards it as a blue aura appeared around him and hit the Salamander.

“STOP!” He yelled as the Salamander stood in place as a pet collar appeared around its neck.

“Huh?” Said Dull as the Salamander wagged its tail to Tony.

“It’s now my friend!” He cheered as his goblins cheered in glee. They all looked at him as they shrugged their shoulders.

“Okay…” Said Dull

Tony had cards around him as he grabbed one and another. They looked at him as they didn’t know what he picked as Dull noticed something giving faint green glows from the Goblin Chief corpse. “Hm?”

Dull looked at them as he turned to the others. He picked them up as Bloody went to butcher them for their edible meat. He went to Gourd and handed him the spear. “You’ll need this to grow stronger.” He said as Gourd looked a bit scared but nodded as he went to Tony. “And this bangle is for you.” He said as Tony wore it around his wrist. “Can you please tell me what you picked from those cards?” He asked as Tony turned to his mom as she nodded.

“I picked 2 skill cards. I can use [Monster Farm] & [Monster Fusion].” They looked at him as they didn’t know how to answer that.

“I can store my monsters on a farm where no one can hurt them, and they can rest and create a new monster by fusing two like in the cartoons.” He said happily as all his monsters vanished as he ran to his mom.

“That’s useful.” Said Bloody as they all got in the vehicle as Dull was carving something on the wall “What are you doing?” She asked as Dull looked at the wall.

“Carving a message to anyone who comes here. Warning them not to enter in case more goblins make this place their new home.”

“Kind of harsh but it’s true.” Said Max as she and Specter looked at the cards.

They nodded as Bloody helped Max with getting her husband inside their vehicle as Green brought their car to them. “Follow us, Dull. We’ll lead you to our base.” He said as Bloody got in as they drove off and Dull drape the carts with table covers and follow them. During the drive they both stopped after witnessing some giant dragon-like monsters flying over them. They didn’t make a sound and hope the food didn’t attract them, but they flew off. They sighed in relief as they continued the drive to the warehouse. After a long drive, they made it to the warehouse as they witnessed Green’s plant guardian had some goblins stuck to its needles. Dull put his head out the window as he and the passengers looked at Green who ordered the guardian not to attack his friends as he opened the gate as they all drove in. “Welcome to our warehouse.” Said Bloody as they let Dull, Max, Specter & the survivors enter with the cart of food. “Be sure not to be wasteful because we don’t have any more internet. We have some Smart TVs connected with an old DVD/VHS Player with tons of DVDs and VHS tapes from 60 years and more ago, collected from different Thrift stores. In case we had children.” She said as she pouted. “Now feeling the irony of beginning for kids because of this hell.” She said as Green cleared his throat.

“Anyway, please relax as we might need to gather mattresses, pillows and blankets for any survivors we rescue.” He said as Tony had managed to do some fusion to his goblins on the drive; turn 6 common goblins into 3 Elite Goblins. They look like the original goblins but with some muscles, 2 were carrying Prep as one help Gourd with putting away the supplies. Max rolled her husband in as they helped by planning search & rescue for survivors as Dull began making some new defenses to their new base.

Night
Dull managed to created Iron walls high as the electric fence as he made some defenses, weapons and armor for not only for himself but Tony’s goblins, Gourd was using his Doctor Job class to heal Tony’s new Salamander Monster as Preps was cooking meals for everyone and managed to discover that she can meals for monsters as Green and Bloody were turning the monster meat into jerky as Max and Specter managed to rewire a satellite and hook it up to a router to create a WIFI Hotspot to hook up online to see the world map on Canterlot City to see the destruction and possibly the planet but some unknown interference prevented them from seeing outside of the city and make contact to help from the outside. Before anyone could check on Dull, he came in as he was tired of the work. “I did what I could with the remaining ingots I have. I created some short swords and small armor for Tony’s Goblins as he showed everyone the 3 cannons he built.

“Yeah… but unfortunately. Since we witness some airborne monsters like those dragons we witnessed, we have no air defenses except Specter’s defense spell and Max’s Magic. We will have to make do with what we got until we grow stronger.” Said Dull. “Resources are a must, so with Green’s Druid Class and Max’s Elemental Mage Class, we can grow food and have a sturdy supply of water, but we don’t know if Max’ Water is drinkable. We will have to boil it to remove any contaminates, just to be on the save side.” He said as Max nodded.

“We also need to practice some of our abilities.” Said Max. “If we hadn’t been with Dull, I doubt we’d survived staying where we were. Right honey?” She said as Specter nodded as he gripped his staff.

“We need to not only increase our ranks but our abilities.” Said Bloody as Dull made some iron training dummies and iron walls with painted a bullseye on it as he pointed at them.

“We need to practice for tomorrow. We are going to slay the boss at the Canterlot Car Lot so we can travel to the next part of the city.” He said as they looked at him “We don’t know how powerful the boss is, but we cannot underestimate it.” Spoke Dull as he put the dummies and wall away as he went to an empty room “We better rest up for tomorrow. We can’t be tired, weak, or hungry for the boss.” He said as he slid down on the ground. “So, I’m going to bed.”

“Without dinner?” Said Preps as Dull’s stomach growled.

“So much for looking mature.” He said as he stood back and followed Green and Bloody to the Kitchen for a nice meal but looked at the skylight window. (“Honey… Ryo… please be alive.”)

Somewhere in Canterlot City
A short woman was belly dancing on top of a car crash to some goblins as they tried to grab her until a pack of wolf pups attacked them by biting their necks as Honey collected their knifes as the short woman jumped off. “So how we do?” She said as Honey cut open the goblins for their stones.

“You managed to attract 7 goblins.” Said Honey as she looked at her.

“You still thinking about our man?” She said as Honey sighed.

“I should have stayed with him Ryo. I should have stayed.” She said as Ryo patted her shoulder.

“It’s alright Liquor Tits. We know he’s smart to think for himself.” Spoke Ryo as Honey smile.

“Yeah… you’re right. We better go back to our temporary base.” She said as They march down an alley as the wolf pups follow them.
