Life as a Sonic OC Redux

*Midnight's POV*

I'll have to gather Josuke and some of the others tomorrow. But then Opaline approached me while carrying Pearl Rose.

Pearl giggles "Daddy!"

"Hehe. Hey there, my little firecracker." I chuckled, picking up Pearl before zerberting her on the belly, making my daughter laugh.

Pearl squeals in laughter.

Twilight, Rainbow and Danyelle soon pop up via magic.

Twilight spoke "Hey Midnight."

"Oh, hey girls." I greeted.

Danyelle spoke "I saw something in a vision... It warned me about electrical wires and whatnot."

"Sounds like Chili Pepper that Josuke told me about." I noted.

Twilight spoke "Deep Blue's been talking up a storm lately since he's on edge."

Rainbow Dash snickers "That explains the storm cloud above your head."

There was actually a tiny dark storm cloud above Twilight's head.

Twilight spoke "Shut up Skittles before I decide to call Soarin."

Danyelle spoke "Ooh! Burn!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "Oh really? Try that and I'll call Flash Sentry about his sassy mare."

The stallions in question pop up suddenly but neither of them were Pegasi anymore.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash gained wide eyes and dropped jaws in shock and awe before they gave off nosebleed geysers, falling unconscious.

Soarin chuckles "Think we overdid it Flash?"

Flash chuckles "Just wait until they see our forms on Mobius."

The two stallions morphed into their Mobian forms, wearing clothes.

Danyelle giggles at the sight before she started snarling.

Danyelle spoke "I'll only be a moment."

Danyelle suddenly teleported.

*Danyelle's POV*

I teleported to Josuke's house as the TV was suddenly on, doing a show.

Josuke asks "What's going on? I'm pretty sure that I turned it off. Aw come on, shut off, will you?"

A voice asks "It would seem Midnight Storm has refused to leave town for good. And after I went out of my way to give him an explicit warning. *As we saw Chili Pepper in the TV, sparking with electricity* There has to be a reason, right, Josuke Higashikata?"

Josuke asks "I know you! *As Chili Pepper emerged from the TV* You're Chili Pepper! What are you doing here?"

Chili Pepper spoke "You're not the brightest bulb, are you? Clearly, it escaped your notice that I've been popping in and out of here for a while now."

Josuke asks "What?!"

That means he's been spying us the whole time!

Chili Pepper chuckles "One of my other hotspots is the Nijimura house. I'll admit I was surprised that you revived Keicho, and I was worried for a moment. But it turns out that revival made him forget about my true identity. I'm also well aware of that schoolgirl Yukako Yamagishi and Koichi Hirose's Reverb. And I know Toshikazu Hazamada and Tamami Kobayashi are in the hospital."

Josuke spoke "Something about this isn't making sense. From everything I've seen, you're a conniving birdbrain coward. What reason could you possibly have for turning up at my house, ready to take me on fair and square? Surely, you're not moronic enough to believe that anything you could do would be enough to mess me up."

Chili Pepper spoke "Me? Mess you up? No, nothing so foul for this birdie. Your death will be a humane one."

"Haha, very funny. Scaredy Skitty and a lame comedian?" I scoffed while revealing myself.

Josuke spoke "*Summoning Shining Diamond* You're two for two, birdbrain."

Chili Pepper chuckles "Full disclosure before we begin, I've already told Midnight his Star Platinum poses a great threat to me. His vigilance is annoyingly steadfast and his time-stopping ability is formidable. So, the only course of action left to me is to completely decimate that interloper in a head-to-head battle for supremacy. But before I fight Midnight, I want to test my abilities against you and Danyelle Hikari, Josuke Higashikata. Why don't you come a little bit closer? I won't bite. All I'm asking you to do is unleash an attack as swift and precise as Star Platinum's. It's as simple as that. And if you're all the way back there, I'm worried your attacks won't be up to snuff."

Josuke asks "Is that mockery I'm detecting in your voice?"

Chili Pepper asks "No, not in the slightest. I just have every confidence in the capabilities of you both and your Stands. So why don't you come closer? I want you both to give it your best shot, so put your back into it, punks. Here. Come on. Lay one on me. Make sure to get nice and close. *As Shining Diamond and Amaterasu attacked him right in the face* Incredible! So fast! How in the-"

"Shut your squawking Pecker Face!" I growled as Shining Diamond and Amaterasu kept attacking Chili Pepper.

Josuke spoke "If you keep it up, I'll just have to debeak you myself! *As Chili Pepper was attacked again* And by the way, Midnight's Star Platinum's got nothing on me."

Amaterasu and Shining Diamond kept attacking before Chili Pepper swiftly attacked them, sending us flying back as I stopped myself midair while Josuke crashed on the ground as Chili Pepper chuckled.

Tomoko asks "*Outside the room* Josuke! What the hell's going on in there?"

Josuke groans "That blow... It was like being on the receiving end of a supercharged jet engine blast. He might actually be stronger than Mr. Midnight."

Chili Pepper spoke "Very impressive, Josuke and Danyelle. I wasn't expecting your Shining Diamond and Celestial Gods to be so robust. It would appear that I'm not the only one of us who's matured. Clearly, my time hasn't yet arrived. Until Chili Pepper is stronger, vanquishing Midnight shall remain a far-off fantasy."

Chili Pepper then retreated through the outlets before I teleported back to Midnight and the others as Izzy suddenly teleported to me, worried about my wellbeing.

I growl "Next time I see that jerkface, I'm using Kazegami against him."

Midnight spoke "Hmm… Looks like we’ll need to talk somewhere far from Morioh."

Twilight asks "What about Tokyo?"

A roar rang loud and clear, one that Midnight hadn't heard since he was a nameless child.

Midnight spoke "That… That couldn’t be…"

A sudden goofy yell was heard since Tails had sent the user of Chili Pepper flying with a hard tail slap.

Tails scoffs "So annoying..."

Midnight asks "Tails?"

Tails spoke "Hey Midnight."

Midnight spoke "*Sniff sniff* I really don’t know why, but somehow you and Danyelle smell more familiar than before."

I growl "Personal space please!"

Tails spoke "Danyelle, calm down."

I spoke "Sorry, I'm still on edge because of that warning Scourge gave us... Wait a minute...."

I use my comm device to contact Scourge.

I spoke "I know you don't trust any of us good guys but I'm worried about that warning you gave us."

There was no response.

Midnight spoke "We can’t worry about that now. Right now I’ll need to contact Josuke, Okuyasu, Keicho and Koichi."

I spoke "Josuke's still recovering from getting attacked by Chili Pepper though."

A warp ring opens up before Ichigo steps out with Shizue in her arms.

Ichigo spoke "Hey guys."

Midnight spoke "Hey Ichigo, anyways, knowing Josuke, he'll bounce right back."

Ichigo spoke "I couldn't keep Shizue calm for more than five minutes since she sensed that Josuke had gotten hurt."

The next day, we were arriving at the middle of a deserted field, meeting up with Josuke, who was actually fine, Koichi, Okuyasu, who was holding a branch in anger, and Keicho.

Midnight spoke "I told Josuke to keep it quiet. Discussing this in town was out of the question, since it was filled with electricity."

Koichi spoke "Mr. Midnight!"

Midnight spoke "We can't risk being spied on, which is why we're meeting out here."

Ichigo spoke "Any city was also a bad idea though."

Josuke spoke "*As Okuyasu growled* Okuyasu. Just so you know, Chili Pepper really grates the everloving anger outta me too. That slithery Stand thinks he can do whatever he darn well pleases. He spies on people, eavesdrops, swipes anything he wants."

Koichi spoke "Wait a minute, so that's why I woke up to my homework being gone from my desk the other day! It makes total sense to me now! And here I thought my mom threw it away when she took out the trash!

Twilight gasps "What?!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "Twi, that isn't the problem."

Josuke spoke "Yeah, do you and Twilight really think now's the time to worry about that, Koichi? Look, this is the bottom line, the only reason Chili Pepper hasn't even more hell is 'cause we're around. But don't let that fool you, he's a lot stronger than he lets on. He can drag anyone he wants into the phone lines as easy as making a prank call. There's no doubt he has the bow and arrow. Right now, we need to focus on who he's shot with it, and know firsthand how much stronger he's gotten. We have to find Chili Pepper's User as soon as humanly possible."

Koichi asks "But how do we do that?"

Josuke asks "Well, we're here to figure it out together, right Midnight?"

Midnight spoke "Wrong, we're not. But I know a guy who can do that. And you'll be glad to know that he's arriving at the Port of Morioh at noon today."

I ask "You don't mean... Joseph Joestar?"

Midnight spoke "Stop using your Dimensional Scream, Danyelle. You’re becoming too reliant on it, which is weakening your mental fortitude, and in turn, is weakening your Stand."

That info shocked me to my core.

I spoke "But I can't turn it off."

Midnight spoke "Anyway, his Stand’s name is Hermit Purple. But he’s too old to fight, so battle for him is a no-go."

Josuke asks "What? Just how old is this guy? I mean, you have met him before, haven’t you?"

Midnight spoke "Yeah, quite well actually. He’s 79 years right now."

Josuke gasps "79?! He’s practically a fossil!"

Midnight spoke "He uses a cane every now and then. A lot happened to him lately."

Josuke spoke "Give it a rest. Next you’re gonna tell me he likes to talk to mail boxes. Come on, you have gotta be yanking our chains."

Midnight spoke "Since he still hasn’t accepted my offer yet, you’ll need to help protect him."

Ichigo asks "How?"

Midnight spoke "Because if Chili Pepper caught wind of him coming here, there’s no doubt he’ll do everything he can to get him out of the picture. His biggest fear is us discovering his User’s identity."

Josuke spoke "*Sigh* But that doesn’t explain how the old timer’s gonna help us."

Midnight spoke "Believe me, I didn’t want him to come either since he still didn’t accept my offer. But after hearing about the bow and arrow, he took off to Japan."

Koichi asks "To Japan? So this person isn’t Japanese, Mr. Midnight?"

Midnight spoke "Yep."

Koichi spoke "Josuke, this is life-changing!"

Josuke asks "Huh? What is? Whaddya mean?"

Koichi spoke "Think about it, he’s a 79-year-old Stand User who isn’t from Japan! It’s just like Danyelle guessed!

Josuke asks "*Gasp!* Hey, you can’t mean…?"

Tails' left ear twitched suddenly.

But then Okuyasu's motorbike started revving up by itself as it sparked, before Chili Pepper appeared on it, much to our shock. "That's what I needed to hear!"

Okuyasu spoke "Watch out! It's Chili Pepper!"

Midnight asks "What?! How did he get all the way out here?!"

Koichi spoke "*As Chili Pepper chuckled* But how?! There aren't any power lines in the area!"

Midnight spoke "The motorcycle battery! He hid inside it as Okuyasu unknowingly brought him along!"

Okuyasu asks "He hijacked my bike?!"

Josuke spoke "And he heard everything!"

Chili Pepper spoke "So, the Port of Morioh at noon? That's where I'll find that old fogey of a Stand User who can locate me, eh? The moment that codger pulls into port, I'll rip him off and continue my reign of debauchery!"

Midnight spoke "Grr! He knows about Joseph. Which means he knows about Josuke's father."

That shocked us as Chili Pepper drove off.

Midnight spoke "And at the speed he's at, Chili Pepper will beat us to him."

All of us checked, only to find out we didn't have any Warp Rings.

Koichi spoke "Quick, Josuke! Use your Stand to chuck a rock or something at that bike and take it down!"

Okuyasu spoke "*Steps forward* Don't even think about it! That little punk is mine! I'm gonna crush that murdering jailbird into dust if it's the last thing I do!"

The Hand appeared with its right namesake glowing blue before it scrapped at the space ahead.

Koichi spoke "He cut through space itself!"

Okuyasu and the Hand suddenly teleported to where that torn space was as the Stand did it a for more times, landing Okuyasu on the bike.

Chili Pepper spoke "Wha-It's Keicho's little brother!

Okuyasu spoke "What's the rush? We have unfinished business. It's time for you to disappear!"

The Hand swiped, only for Chili Pepper to dodge. "Well done, boy. Well done. Teleporting yourself to the motorcycle was exceptional to say the least. But you wasted your time. That adorable scratching motion you do with the Hand is hardly a match for Chili Pepper's extraordinary speed. So as usual, I'm afraid your efforts have been all for naught. Face facts kid, you're slow."

Okuyasu spoke "Take another look, douchebag. When I said I'd make something disappear, *Revealed the motorbike to be greatly damaged with a part erased* I meant the motorcycle!"

Chili Pepper spoke "He destroyed the front wheel!"

Okuyasu jumped off as the bike crashed with Chili Pepper. "It's safe to say you won't be escaping now."

Keicho spoke "*Smirk* Impressive work, Okuyasu."

Josuke spoke "That's using your head, Okuyasu! Way to go! Luckily for us, Chili Pepper won't be able to move very far away from the motorcycle battery. And check it out, the nearest power line is at least a hundred meters away. We've got you cornered like a rat in a trap."

Koichi spoke "That was a close one!"

Midnight spoke "Don't let your guard down. He isn't captured and can still use the battery. He'll do anything to kill Okuyasu and escape. Let's move."

Josuke and Koichi spoke "Right!"

We started heading over.

Chili Pepper spoke "Color me surprised. I didn't think you'd go through all this trouble to avenge Keicho."

Okuyasu spoke "I didn't. I knew who my bro was. The other shoe was gonna drop eventually. Someone was bound to snuff him out over something. That's the thing about crime, no matter how far you try to run from it, it always has a way of catching up to you in the end. That's painfully clear, even to a sap like me. So now for the business at hand. Tell me who your user is and where he lives. Do that, and I'll spare your life which is more than you deserve."

Chili Pepper spoke "Hmm... Interesting. If I tell you, you'll spare me, huh? You're surprisingly composed. I was positive your bowels would be burning with vengeful fury by now!"

Okuyasu spoke "Grr...! To be honest, I was secretly hoping you won't give me the info on your User! I'm itching to scrape you away, you glow-in-the-dark birdbrain! So give me a reason!"

Chili Pepper spoke "There's the real you! Thinking you can kill me? *Laugh* With that sluggish right hand? *Laugh* I don't know if I should laugh or yawn, but either way you won't be putting out my lights today."

Okuyasu spoke "You little...! I'll end you!"

Chili Pepper spoke "I'll make sure you realize how pathetic your Stand is compared to the marvel that is Chili Pepper!"

The Hand was about to scrape before Chili Pepper landed two blows, appearing behind Okuyasu, making him cough blood.

Chili Pepper asks "Now do you finally understand how slow you are?"

We called out to Okuyasu.

Chili Pepper asks "Not good! *Mentally to himself* Here comes Midnight! I can't stick around much longer! *When Okuyasu suddenly vanished* Huh?! *Mentally while finding Okuyasu behind and above him* How'd he get behind me?"

Okuyasu asks "You're right about me being slow, and I may have missed the mark, but I swiped away space which gives me the ability to teleport! Did you forget about that? *As the Hand kicked and stomped him down* How do you like that, you beak-nosed freak! *As Chili Pepper rolled away, dodging scrapes, slower than normally* I might be wrong, but it seems like you're not as fast as before. Do you think someone as slow as you can slip by my next attack?"

Koichi spoke "Look! Chili Pepper's charge is fading! He's getting weaker and weaker by the second! His Stand must be running out of power!"

Chili Pepper's color turned to rust brown.

Josuke spoke "Well, would you look at that? He actually did it!"

Tails spoke Don't kill him, Okuyasu. Wait for us to get there since you won the fight. We gotta make him tell us where the bow and arrow are."

Chili Pepper spoke *Panting* He's right about one thing, my energy IS fading. Your Stand may be as slow as molasses, but the ferocity of its attack is downright bone-chilling. That being said, don't you want to finish off your brother's killer for good? Try using your head for a moment. How can you be certain that I'm not pretending to be frail, Okuyasu?"

Okuyasu asks "What?"

Chili Pepper asks "Who's to say I'm not luring Midnight in close so I can cleave off his head?"

Okuyasu spoke "Quit spoutin' lies!"

Chili Pepper asks "Fine by me. So what'll it be? Will you do away with me now, or wait for me to get the drop on Midnight?"

Okuyasu asks "You...! *Steps forward but stop* Hold on a minute... If you were really up to something shady, why would you tell me your plan?"

Oh man... I mentally started having a panic attack from which way it would turn out.

Okuyasu asks "Are you saying you want me to kill you after all?"

Chili Pepper asks "I'll let you come to your own conclusions. What's your answer, are you gonna do it or not?

Okuyasu asks "...Dang it, should I...?"

Midnight spoke "Better hurry."

Chili Pepper spoke "Last chance. Make up your mind, Okuyasu."

Okuyasu spoke "...The hell with it! I'm putting an end to this nightmare once and for all! It's time to die!"

Midnight spoke "Stop!"

Okuyasu spoke "Don't even think about trying to stop me, Midnight! He killed my bro, which means he has to pay the ultimate price! That's the only truth that matters right now! And my heart has shown me what I need to do! Now eat dirt and die, you glorified night-light!"

The Hand landed a blow against Chili Pepper and the ground.

Josuke spoke "Well, that's just great. Finding the bow and arrow's gonna be a real pain now. At least he settled things with that freak."

Keicho spoke "No, I don't think it's over."

Midnight spoke "Yeah, my instincts say that Chili Pepper's still alive."

But then severed sparking underground power lines were seen as Okuyasu saw them.

Okuyasu spoke "Underground electrical cables?! That lying... he faked all that so I could expose them!"

Chili Pepper spoke *Chuckles* Not quite, I really was fading* That motorcycle battery only holds 12 volts. A few moments longer and I would've been done for! *Fully charged* I must thank you for reviving me! Poor simple-minded Okuyasu, if only you'd have been a good boy and controlled yourself as Midnight instructed, I would've faded away with the battery. *Starting to go in a line* I know the location every electrical line running through this town. My original plan was to escape into those cables, but they were to far away form the motorcycle, and in the state I was in, digging them up was out of the question."

Okuyasu spoke "Why won't you die!"

The Hand attacked, only for Chili Pepper to be right behind him.

Okuyasu spoke "He's faster than before!"

Chili Pepper spoke "Ha! With this electricity at my disposal, I have more than enough power to challenge your lackluster right hand!"

Okuyasu roared as the Hand charged, only for Chili Pepper to slice off the Stand's right hand with his left pinky finger, causing Okuyasu to scream in pain.

Koichi spoke "Okuyasu!"

Rainbow Dash spoke "That was fast!"

Chili Pepper spoke *Grabs Okuyasu by the neck* I seem to remember your brother Keicho saying about you never failing to hold him back. Oh, how right he was! Your soul is underdeveloped. Ahaha! Revenge was never going to be within your reach, you cocky ignoramus! So long, everyone, I'm taking off! But not before I find that old coot, Joseph Joestar, and see to it that he shares the same fate as the lamentable Okuyasu Nijimura! To the victor go the spoils!"

Koichi spoke "Okuyasu, no!"

Chili Pepper went into the power line with Okuyasu as Koichi went toward them, only to find the two gone, making me panic more.

Koichi spoke "He pulled him into the cables! Okuyasu! Okuyasu!"

Midnight spoke "Good grief, we were so close, but he managed to slip away."

Josuke spoke "That Stand was absolutely terrifying."

Rainbow Dash spoke "Yeah, he can be as fast as light while being as far as far can be."

The others were calm for some reason, much to Koichi and my horror. "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING?!"

Koichi asks "Okuyasu was... Okuyasu was murdered in cold blood and you're rambling about how strong the enemy was?!"

Keicho spoke "Indeed, we mustn't forget my little brother."

Josuke spoke "Leave it to me."

Twilight spoke "There's actually a silver lining to this, Okuyasu is really lucky. Never thought I'd say that."

Josuke spoke "Weird as it sounds, getting his right arm chopped off was the best thing that could've happened."

"Huh?!" Koichi and I asked in confusion.

Josuke spoke "Let's go, Shining Diamond! *As Shining Diamond used its power on Okuyasu's severed right arm* You don't have to worry, so dry those tears, you two. Once I fix his arm, his body'll come back."

As Josuke said, Okuyasu's body came out of the power cable, reconnecting with his severed right arm, fully healed.

Koichi spoke "Alright! I thought we lost you for good, Okuyasu!"

Okuyasu asks "N-No... *Growling* I... I... I was totally outclassed by that punk. *Pounds ground with his right fist* Why?! Why?! Why?!"

Koichi spoke "It's not about revenge, and we can't focus on setbacks. Joseph Joestar, he's the priority here, he needs us. I know it's tough, but that's how we're gonna beat Chili Pepper and get true justice. You have to do this for our town, and if that isn't enough, then do it for all the people you care about."

I spoke "CHAOS CONTROL!!!"

I teleport with the others straight to the harbor, beating Chili Pepper.

Josuke spoke "I might be stating the obvious, but that wasn't good. Guess I was taking this too lightly."

Midnight spoke "Looks like all of us were."

Koichi spoke "How can you be so nonchalant at a time like this?! He's still in shock over here!"

Okuyasu spoke "There's no way around it. Bro, in order to beat Chili Pepper, I have to surpass you."

Keicho spoke "Hmm... *Smile* I would like to see that."

*Meanwhile at sea...*

Speedwagon boat captain spoke "Mr. Joestar, we'll be arriving at the Port of Morioh any minute now."

The elderly Joestar coughed a bit, wondering what would happen next.
