Life as a Sonic OC Redux

*Tails’ POV*

Wonder when Danyelle’s gonna be back.

Sonic chuckles "You worry too much Tails."

“Sorry, but there’s a message from Liu Kang that he wants to see Danyelle, us and a few others.” I pointed.

Ben spoke "Danyelle got called away on a friendship mission."

“Well, let’s just hope Liu Kang understands that.” I said before Sonic looked like he got an idea, gaining a smirk.

Sonic teases "Hehe, wouldn’t it be crazy if you had at least nine wives, or as many as I do?"

I spoke "Sonic, shut up."

Sonic chuckles "*As Ben snickered* Come on, little bro. Think about it. Miyuki’s part of Rei’s harem, which has more than four, and Pixie’s part of mine, which has more than four. It’s only a matter of time before you have more than four wives, Tails."

I spoke "And it's not like I have a crush on Sonia or anything!"

Ash chuckles "Holy Shinx... Are you sure you're not on catnip or something Tails?"

“I was joking, it’s not like I have a crush on Cream or Marine!” I said before slapping my mouth closed.

Sonic spoke "Tails buddy, you're almost 32. Cream is younger than you are."

“Only by two years.” I pointed out. “Nevermind all that! Shouldn’t we get going?”

Crosswind spoke "I can't find Applejack!"

Applejack spoke "*Shows up* Crosswind, yer overreactin’ again."

Crosswind whines "AJ...."

Applejack asks "What’s the matter?"

Sonic spoke "Should have seen this one coming... Shi's in peak female phase..."

Applejack spoke "*Noticed Mighty and Trip the Sungazer* Ah think Ah got an idea."

Crosswind spoke "Applejack, no."

Applejack spoke "Ah’m just tryin’ ta help."

Sonic spoke "And given that Swiftrunner has just gone into peak male phase, I would have to ask hir about aiding Crosswind."

Applejack asks "What the?! You lost yer mind?!"

Spitfire asks "You calling Sonic an idiot?"

Applejack spoke "I ain’t, but what Sonic’s suggestin’ is plumb crazy! It’s enough that mah little sister has a crush on Lance, but things could get confusin’ even more if Sonic does that."

Sonic spoke "And it's enough that Fluttershy is somewhat part of my already crazy family since Flowerstep and Swiftrunner are cousins."

“*Ahem!* Fire Temple.” I pointed out.

Korra pops up with Mako and their daughter.

Korra spoke "We're going with you."

Sonic asks "What about your kid?"

Iris spoke via telepathy "{I go where my parents go.}"

“Maybe we should give you a nickname, so we don’t confuse the two.” I noted.

Blossom was carrying twin fox Mobians in her arms.

Blossom asks "How about Yue?"

Mako asks "You sure?"

Blossom spoke "It was Butch's idea."

Korra spoke "Oh."

Sonic asks "Say Blossom, who are these little ones?"

Blossom spoke "Oh! It’s my son and daughter, Blake and Becky."

Sonic chuckles "I can't believe that I'm an uncle now."

Blossom asks "Huh?"

“Sonic, you were already an uncle after Pixie joined your herd, remember?” I pointed out.

Korra spoke "Uh, yeah, we should probably get going."

We then headed out to the Fire Temple, meeting up with Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Raiden, Teams 7 and 8, along with three men that seemed like ninjas.

Liu Kang spoke "*Places a piece at a location on the map* Shang Tsung is here, at the ruins of Ying Fortress. His soul stealers are already under construction. You must destroy them, and capture Shang Tsung, before either can inflict harm upon Earthrealm."

Roll spoke "The fate of Equis, Mobius, Cynnth and Zoey's world also hang in the balance!"

A man in blue garbs spoke "We will leave immediately."

Raiden spoke "And we will join you.

The man in blue garb spoke "*Refers to us unfamiliar to him, the man in yellow and the man in gray* None of you are Lin Kuei. You would only hinder the effort."

Kung Lao spoke "Raiden, the others and I are more than-"

The man in yellow garb spoke We’re trained differently. It takes years to master our ways."

Chameleo spoke "Huh, so ninjas are needed? That’s cool."

Roll spoke "I may be a mother now but I'm also a ninja."

Liu Kang spoke "*To Kung Lao* You and Raiden have my full confidence, but you are needed elsewhere. Go to the Wu Shi. The monks must prepare you for war."

I spoke "We've got the Harmony Guard, the Tokyo Five and Roll's clan."

Roll was on the phone with her mother.

Rei spoke "*Shows up* Sorry, but discretion and stealth is gonna be important. So we’ll only be sending 15 or less."

After talking with her mother, Roll spoke "My mom insists that I'm one of the people on this mission."

Rei spoke "Fair enough."

Later, Roll, Teams 7 and 8, Joker (AKA Ren Amamiya), and I were not far from the ruins as we were with the three men. The one in blue garbs was Bi-Han, Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, the one in the yellow garbs was Kuai Liang, Bi-Han’s younger brother, and the one in gray garbs was Tomas Vrbada, Bi-Han and Kuai Liang’s adopted younger brother.

Noe was hiding in Roll's shadow since he wanted to help capture Shang Tsung.

Tomas spoke "The only way in is over the walls."

Bi-Han spoke "We must find a less guarded section before attempting an ascent. Finally, we face a worthy foe."

Noe does a quick look around before coming back.

Noe spoke "I found a spot."

Bi-Han spoke "Victory will bring us glory."

Kuai Liang spoke "Glory? We fight for duty."

Bi-Han spoke "Does our father's ghost possess you? All I hear is his voice."

Kuai Liang spoke "We must honor his vision, Bi-Han."

Bi-Han spoke "Vision is what he lacked. He was blind to our superiority. We settle for defending Earthrealm when we could help lead it."

Tomas spoke "Our clan doesn't govern. It serves."

Bi-Han spoke "That is our past. It won't be our future."

Later, we were at the wall Noe found as we each climbed/flew it up our own way, reaching onto the top of the wall.

Noe glances back to the ground.

Noe whispers "Pst... Tomas, Roll, guys... We got company..."

Tomas was riding a small smoke whirlwind before we heard a screech as that winged woman Soulfire told me about and attacked Tomas, Noe, Roll and Team 8 off, sending them falling down before they managed to latch on back to the wall, saving themselves from a rough fall before she attacked us with a guttural roar before Bi-Han kicked her off with the demoness Soulfire told me about backup her up.

Bi-Han spoke "As a boy I heard tales of battles against your kind. *Cracks left shoulder* I had thought them tall ones."

Nitara spoke "All Earthrealmers will soon know of Vaeternus. My realm starves and it's coming here to feed."

Bi-Han, Chameleo and I fought the winged vampiress with Swampsuke, Kuai Liang and Joker's help, despite her having the demoness assisting her before we knocked her down.

Nitara spoke "*Gets back up* Think you've overcome me? Think again."

We fought her again with our three friends' help as she was assisted by the demoness again before we managed to defeat her.

Bi-Han spoke "You will end this day hungry."

Our two enemies were defeated before Bi-Han, Chameleo and I found our legs unable to move.

Primakura asks "What the?!"

Ermac showed up. "We are charged with defending the fortress. None will escape us."

The three of us then started feeling our arms beings pulled. We struggled before breaking free.

Chameleo: Snipe Shot!"

Noe spoke "Glitch Out!"

"Thunderbolt!" I shouted with Bi-Han shooting an ice ball as all three of our projectile attacks shot Ermac down to our level.

Bi-Han spoke "You are Quan Chi's creation. Liu Kang warned about you. I had hoped for the chance to battle against your dark magic."

The three of us began fighting Ermac as we soon managed to knock him down.

Bi-Han spoke "*As Ermac got back up* Liu Kang was overly concerned. Your magic does not impress."

We then fought Ermac again as we later defeated him, knocking him unconscious.

Bi-Han spoke "You are not so fearsome."

Tomas, Roll, Noe and Team 8 were back up as they and the others regrouped with us.

"Everyone alright?" I asked.

Noe spoke "Aside from a scratch on my face, I'm fine. It'll heal."

Everyone else nodded, saying they're okay.

Bi-Han spoke "Good. After our years of idleness, it pleases me to again face kombat."

Kuai Liang spoke "I will be pleased when we complete our mission."

We then kept moving forward, soon on ground as we hid behind tunnel archways before sneaking through it and seeing the soul stealers.

Quan Chi spoke "Be careful with what you're handling. We have no time for mistakes. *As we kept sneaking, seeing him oversee construction* Continue working. I must oversee production of the remaining basins."

Quan Chi then walked into the temple as Bi-Han covered a guards mouth and stabbed him in the heart with a dagger made of ice, killing him silently.

Tomas spoke "That's Quan Chi. The other sorcerer Liu Kang described."

Bi-Han spoke "Kuai Liang, Tails, Joker, Team 7 and I will capture him. The rest of you stay here. Do not let them activate the soul stealers."

A rather muddy Direhowl Mobian female was with a small pack of nine other muddied Direhowl Mobians as they readied to attack.

Noe spoke "Don't worry, I'll make sure they don't get in the way. AND I'll only knock 'em unconscious."

I bap Noe on the head with one of my nine tails.

I spoke "They're on our side."

Noe whispers "Let me guess, you were told that?"

"Yeah, by New Yoke Danyelle." I whispered to Noe as the leading Direhowl signaled the other nine to help Noe's group keep the soul stealers from being activated. Later, Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, Joker, Team 7, the Direhowl alpha and I snuck into the temple, silently following Quan Chi into what looked like a treasure chamber while Bi-Han picked up a coin with a hole through the middle.

Bi-Han spoke "*As we saw Quan Chi standing by with female guards* There will be spoils in this war."

Kuai Liang spoke "Let us win it first, brother."

We heard approaching footsteps before hiding, seeing Shang Tsung enter. "Will the soul stealers be completed on time, Quan Chi?"

Quan Chi spoke "Yes. Our benefactor's guidance has proven most helpful."

Kuai Liang spoke "If we break it, we'll halt their construction."

Bi-Han spoke "Agreed."

We then came out of hiding and charged as Quan Chi chanted, sending a wave of skulls at us before Bi-Han, Chameleo and I broke through it while the others started fighting Shang Tsung as the three of us faced Quan Chi.

Quan Chi spoke "Ah, the Lin Kuei. And with allies. We have been expecting you."

Bi-Han spoke "Were you told also to expect defeat? This ends no other way."

The three of started fighting Quan Chi as we soon managed to knock him down.

Bi-Han spoke "*As Quan Chi got back up* You should never have come here. I will bury you in this fortress."

We fought Quan Chi once more before we later defeated him.

Bi-Han: spoke "Your failure was inevitable."

The others were fighting Shang Tsung before he sent out a flaming skull with them dodging it, only to be buried under an avalanche of treasure. I could tell they were still alive since most or at least half of that was coins before Bi-Han fired an ice beam, only for Shang Tsung to block it with a fire shield.

Shang Tsung spoke "This is so unnecessary. What I can offer you, Bi-Han, you won't decline."

Bi-Han spoke "Unless it's your surrender... I am not interested."

We then started fighting Shang Tsung as he shapeshifted into one of us a few times, using our moves and defenses against as before we soon knocked him down.

Shang Tsung spoke "*Gets up* It's your choice: I can give you freedom, or I can take your life."

We then fought Shang Tsung again as he morphed between his young and old form, using different attacks before we later defeated him.

Bi-Han spoke "I had hoped for a worthier enemy."

Kuai Liang and the rest of our group managed to get out of the pile unharmed as they went toward us.

"Wait, we didn't catch your name. What is it?" I asked the Direhowl.

The lead Direhowl spoke "My name's Clover."

Bi-Han formed an axe made out of ice and was about to behead Shang Tsung before General Shao's army came in as we tried to beat them, but totally overwhelmed us, capturing us on our knees with our arms held behind our backs while Shang Tsung got back up.

Shang Tsung asks "Perhaps now you wish to entertain my offer?"

Bi-Han spoke "How would you know what I value? We are strangers to each other."

Shang Tsung spoke "I know that you wish to break free of Liu Kang's control... to gain your clan unrivaled power. I offer the means to do both."

Okay, since Shang Tsung used to be a shammer, of course he'd have to be convincing.

Kuai Liang spoke "Ignore him, brother. He promises only corruption."

Shang Tsung asks "Grandmaster... I am sure you're asking yourself... Can I afford to trust a man I have never met? But the true question you must ask is... Can I afford not to?"

I have a bad feeling about this...

*Dia's POV*

Geras was looking into the past as a female voice spoke to past Shang Tsung... "And you were meant for more. To live among kings, not peasants. But since before you were born, you have been conspired against. By those who fear how formidable you could become. I am your deliverer, Shang Tsung. Join me and I will put the realms at your feet."

"Well, that's ominous." I noted.

Geras spoke"Who are you? *Investigates before realizing something* Impossible."

*Swampsuke's POV*

Those of us captured were being led to somewhere as our arms were shackled.

General Shao spoke "*To Bi-Han* My realm and your clan have much in common. We both feel the pull of Liu Kang's leash."

Shang Tsung spoke"Once Outworld rules Earthrealm, you will be free to remake the Lin Kuei in any manner you see fit."

Kuai Liang spoke "Bi-Han, don't listen! We must stop them, not-"

Bi-Han spoke "Silence, Kuai Liang."

Kuai Liang spoke "But brother-"

Bi-Han spoke "Obey your Grandmaster! *To Shang Tsung* Can you win this war? Soul stealers are deadly, but they're not enough."

Shang Tsung spoke "You only think so because you don't understand their true purpose."

Bi-Han spoke "Explain."

Shang Tsung spoke "Emperor Ying built this fortress during one of Earthrealm's most turbulent periods. Enemies beset him on all sides. He built a great army to protect his empire. He built a second one to protect him in the afterlife. This is Emperor Ying's Dragon Army."

We looked around, seeing ourselves in an ancient tomb, filled with stone soldiers.

Bi-Han asks "Impressive... But does this history lesson have a point?"

Shang Tsung spoke "These statues were constructed, and enchanted, by the great mages in the Emperor's court."

We followed Shang Tsung to a chest as he opened it and brought out a crown and a small flask.

Shang Tsung spoke "They are animated by fragments of souls. *Pours the flask of screaming souls into the crown* Once alive they fight tirelessly, unburdened by remorse or pity."

Shang Tsung dropped the flask as it clinked before he places the crown on his head, activating a line of stone statues as they demonstrated their physical fighting abilities in unison before standing down.

Shang Tsung spoke "As our ally, you will be given command of several battalions. Few in Earthrealm could then resist the Lin Kuei."

Bi-Han inspected the statues before confronting Shang Tsung when the memory of my brother suddenly came into my mind. To my allies' horror, Bi-Han offered up his shackles, accepting Shang Tsung's offer.

Kuai Liang spoke*Held back by General Shao's soldiers* Bi-Han! *As Bi-Han was freed from his shackles by Shang Tsung* How could you?! Father would turn in his grave if he saw this!"

Bi-Han spoke"He was a doddering old fool! He did us a favor, having that accident. And I was right to let him die."

Kuai Liang spoke "*Shocked, along with the others* Let him die?! You said you tried to save him!"

Bi-Han spoke "A lie. Because you couldn't, and still can't, face the truth. Father had doomed the Lin Kuei to mediocrity. Now we will achieve greatness."

Kuai Liang elbowed a guard and whacked another one with his chains before knocking out General Shao, Shang Tsung and Bi-Han before he started fighting other guards, killing a few before General Shao was back up and attacked him with his axe before Kuai Liang threw it away and tried to choke him with his chains, only for the general to break them and his shackles while sending him flying back. Meanwhile, the rest of us managed to break ourselves free since we weren't human with Joker picking the lock of his shackles as we got up with me, Clover, Joker, Primakura and Tails backing him up.

Shang Tsung spoke "*Laughs as General Shao picked up his axe* They are feisty ones."

General Shao spoke "Are you going to blather or make yourself useful? These otherrealmers must be neutralized."

Kuai Liang, Clover and I started fighting General Shao with Joker, Primakura and Tails' help while the general was assisted by Shang Tsung before he managed to land a few strong blows on us as we soon knocked him down.

Kuai Liang spoke "*As General Shao got back up* You may corrupt Bi-Han, but you can't corrupt me."

We fought General Shao again with our friends' assistance while Shang Tsung helped him before we later defeated him.

Kuai Liang spoke "Neither of you are up to the task."

Like me, Kuai Liang could be an avenger.

Bi-Han spoke "Do not let them escape!"

Shang Tsung started controlling four statues before Kuai Liang made an inferno appeared, making the stone soldiers fall as one of them thrusted its sword at him, only to stop and melt as we ran past them, escaping the tomb and back into the treasure chamber before we heard two voices in the distance.

Rain spoke "So the gold's purity is important."

Quan Chi spoke "Pollutants impact efficiency. Like barnacles on a ship's hull, they create drag and reduce speed."

Rain spoke "Heh... I see."

We saw the two of them smelting gold as we tried to sneak past them, only for Rain to see us in a shield's reflection as we were attacked from behind by rushing water.

Rain asks "So you and your friends have declined Shang Tsung's offer. I assume your brother has not?"

Kuai Liang spoke "The sorcerer tempted him into forsaking his oath."

Rain spoke "He can be convincing, can he? Spurning him... is a grave mistake."

Kuai Liang, Clover and I started fighting Rain as Joker, Tails and Primakura helped us while Quan Chi assisted them before we soon knocked him down.

Kuai Liang spoke "*As Rain got back up* Your scheme will fail. We'll see to it."

The three of us then fought Rain again with our three friends' help as Quan Chi kept assisting him before we later managed to defeat the two.

Kuai Liang spoke "The mistake is yours, Outworlder."

But then the scarred man and the bald man with sunglasses Soulfire informed us of appeared.

Havik growls "What have you done?!"

We started two fight the two before they were soon trying to push the faces of Kuai Liang, Clover and I into a pot of smolting gold. We struggled to push back as we knocked the shades man back before we dunked the scarred man's face into the smolting gold before letting him go as he lunged and walked back, screaming in intense pain. The bleeding soon stopped as he then turned around, revealing his burned face.

Havik spoke I am not finished. For burning me, you'll all burn in the Netherrealm!"

Kuai Liang, Clover and I then fought the burnt man with Joker, Primakura and Tails helped us as the man fought us with chaotic movements and self harm, even dealing himself fatal wounds while attacking us, only to regenerate like nothing happened, even though the burn was still there on his face while the shades man assisted him before we soon knocked him down.

Kuai Liang spoke "*As Havik stood back up* Desist or I'll scorch the rest of you."

We then fought the burnt man again with our friends' assistance while the man with shades helped him before we later defeated them.

Kuai Liang spoke "A Lin Kuei's flame is not easily smothered."

Bi-Han spoke "*In the distance* Split up! We must find him!"

We then fled, exiting the temple as we saw the soul stealers weren't activated, much to our relief before Team 8, Roll, Noe, Tomas and the rest of the direwolf pack caught up with us.

Tomas asks "What happened?! Where's Bi-Han?"

Kuai Liang spoke "He's betrayed us. We're all in imminent danger."

We then kept fleeing as we were later back on the walls, walking as we explained what happened.

Tomas spoke "Letting father die... Forsaking Earthrealm? He's abandoned all reason!"

Kuai Liang spoke "I knew Bi-Han's frustrations ran deep. But I never thought they could inspire such madness."

Tails asks "Wait... Where's Roll?"

Kuai Liang spoke "We can’t let his corruption spread."

We started noticing a blizzard in the area.

Tomas spoke "Whatever it takes, I am with you."

Kuai Liang spoke "Thank you. We may not share blood, *Places right hand on Tomas’ left shoulder* but we are brothers."

The blizzard cleared, showing Bi-Han holding Roll hostage by the neck. “Do your oaths mean nothing?! It’s your duty to obey my will!”

Kuai Liang spoke "Not when it betrays Lin Kuei principles. We won’t sacrifice them to serve your ambition!

Bi-Han formed an ice dagger as he was about to stab Roll before Tails tackled her, saving her life, but got a long scar on the upper side of his middle tail. Bi-Han then charged at the Ninetails before Kuai Liang blocked him and fought him. The two traded blows as Kuai Liang later blocked a strike, only to find no ice knife in the right hand before Bi-Han slashed him with one in the left, making his younger brother cry out in pain with the blow knocking off his mask.

Tomas spoke "Kuai Liang!

Kuai Liang spoke "*Having a scar* Stay back! This is my fight.

Bi-Han spoke "End this, brother! Embrace the future.

Kuai Liang spoke "I want no part of it! You corrupt all that it means to be Lin Kuei!

The two brothers then fought, fire and ice before Kuai Liang knocked Bi-Han down.

Kuai Liang spoke "*As his elder brother got up* You disgrace our family and clan!

The two fought once more, and though it was a long battle, the younger brother won.

Kuai Liang spoke "You are my Grandmaster no longer. *Takes off emblem*

Tomas asks "What are you doing? *As Kuai Liang put the emblem on his unconscious brother’s personage* Once he’s exposed, won’t you be made Grandmaster?

Kuai Liang spoke "You forget Cyrax and Sektor. Their loyalty to Bi-Han is absolute. They’ll sooner abet his corruption than follow me. We must chart a new course. One that both honors our father’s legacy and serves Earthrealm.

Roll spoke "Thanks for saving me, Tails. Sorry about the scar on your middle one though.

Tails spoke "It’s okay, I’ll just consider it a mark. Plus your mother would shave me if you got hurt.|

Kuai Liang spoke "*Stands up* Help me. We can’t leave him here to aid Shang Tsung."

All of us then left while carrying Bi-Han as we saw the four soul stealers activating in the distance.

*Rei’s POV*

Liu Kang and I saw the soul stealers activation.

Liu Kang asks "How did you achieve this, sorcerer?

Geras then appeared.

“Talk about timing.” I noted.

Liu Kang: You arrive not a moment too soon, Geras. What have you learned?"

Geras spoke "In scrutinizing Shang Tsung’s first meeting with his benefactor, I made an important discovery. Her life essence, the very time crystals that make up her being… are not of this timeline."

Liu Kang asks "Not of this timeline? How could someone from a previous timeline enter this one?"

Geras spoke "That cannot happen."

Liu Kang spoke "If that cannot happen, then what has happened, Geras? There are no other timelines than those that have come before."

Geras: All evidence points to the presence of a second timeline, which exists concurrently with ours."

Liu Kang spoke "Two timelines, side by side, moving forward simultaneously."

Geras spoke "Never in a billion lifetimes have I seen this. But that does not make the other timeline any less real. There can be no doubt that Shang Tsung’s benefactor hails from it. Dia is informing Danyelle of this as well."

Liu Kang spoke "Hmm… And who she is, why she’s here, where she’s from… all questions we need answered. Which we can’t, while we are under attack. Rei, Danyelle, Celestia, Sonic, Peach and I will go to Sindel. Convince her to withdraw from Earthrealm by showing her how history is being manipulated."

“That’s a big risk, Liu Kang, especially since it involves revealing your past role.” I pointed out.

Geras spoke "Rei is correct."

Liu Kang spoke "The situation gives me no choice. I will need your help, Geras. To prove my claims to the Empress."
