Life as a Sonic OC Redux

*Limestone's POV*

*Stretches* Didn't think going on a trip to Sonic's homeworld would help me get better.

Amy spoke "And I heard that Mr Grumpy Bug was coming along too."

That made me slip a bit. "A-Are you kidding me?!"

Pharynx spoke "I didn't want the hammer to the head!"

Amy spoke "Still, I couldn't help but wonder about Morioh's sights."

Pharynx spoke "According to what I heard from Danyelle, there's been reports of a certain male that's been killing others... And based on that, we should steer clear of Morioh until then."

Amy spoke "She also said he took on a new face. So knowing people like that, he won't be killing for a while unless he wants his cover blown."

I spoke "If he does end up making a wrong move, Demon Lord Twilight will know but finding him is like finding a needle in a haystack."

I then noticed the Quilladin that Nightmare Danyelle told us about. "Hey, you're Koichi Hirose, right?"

Koichi asks "Um, yeah?"

"We're friends of Danyelle's." I said.

Amy spoke "I'm Amy Rose, the pony is Limestone Pie and Mr Grumpy Bug is Pharynx."

Pharnyx spoke "Hey!"

"Anyway, if we can help you with what's going on, we can." I assured.

Koichi spoke "Hmm... Well, since it's only an investigation of an abandoned house, I guess it's okay. We found a house about 15 minutes away from Morioh Station. It was in a part of town known for its views and villas. Actually, it was his former house, where he lived as "Yoshikage Kira". Now he has a new face, a new job, a new place to call home, and probably even a new family. It's obvious that he's never turning up there again. But all just the same, I have to help the others search the place. If we're going to find any clues as to where this new man ran off to, we're going to find them in that house."

Amy spoke "We can't get Danyelle involved in this situation since she has kids on the way."

”We’ll help ya look through that place.” I said.

Shirou shows up via warp ring.

Shirou spoke "I'll help too."

Pharynx asks "Ya sure?"

Shirou spoke "I'd never hear the end of it if my kids and my grandkids heard that I didn't help."

*During Tia's dream*

Tia was calling out for her brother but he was nowhere to be found.

But then Tia heard a gasp, seeing Tio emerge from the water.

Tio spoke "Talk about luck."

Tia spoke "TIO, YOU IDIOT! I thought you had gone down the same path as our uncle and grandfather had!"

To the horror of the two siblings, all of the water from around Morioh had receded.

Tia spoke "Oh no.... If what mother said is true, we are the only ones who can stop that!"

Tio spoke "Yeesh, guess there wasn’t any point fighting it anyway."

Tia spoke "We have to stop it before it destroys the very town that Josuke cares so much about!"

Tio spoke "No, Tia. I’ll have to do it."

Tia spoke "But Tio, you'll make the same sacrifice that our uncle and grandfather had done."

Tio spoke "If there was any other way, I’d try to do it as quickly as possible. But I made my bed, so I’ll have to lie in it."

Tia cuffs her brother on the head.

Tia spoke "I'm not letting you!"

Nightmare Danyelle shows up with her Stand and the Tantabus.

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Let us help too."

The Tantabus said nothing for some reason.

Amaterasu spoke "Bark Bark {You knew this would happen Tantabus so you attached Danyelle's dreams to the Eon Duo's dreams.}"

The Tantabus spoke "{This is still new to me, so don't expect me to get used to it.}"

Chibi laughs "Bark yip woof {You can pin the blam on Danyelle for your new powers!}"

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Guys! We gotta focus!"

Nuegami spoke "{This is beyond my power though but I'll do what I can to help!}"

Nightmare Danyelle spoke "Thanks."

A pair of alicorn Mobians from ten years into the future fly at high speed at the giant tidal wave, dispersing it with powerful waterbending.

Nightmare Danyelle asks "What the...?"

Looking at his mother's past self, the alicorn colt spoke "You might not recognize my sister and I yet since the two of us are from ten years into the future.. I'm Satoshi Hikari, the female is my sister, Samantha Hikari."

Nightmare Danyelle asks "Wait, what?"

Sam spoke "Our mom sensed trouble in this time period so we just had to help out."

Satoshi spoke "Besides, you'll see us again soon once our younger selves are born."

Nightmare Danyelle asks "Huh?!"

The twins spoke "Basically, we're your future children."

Nightmare Danyelle had her mouth gaping open in shock.

Tia and Tio spoke "...We think you broke her."

The twins giggle "We didn't mean to!"

The two were suddenly glowing since they were going back to their own time period.

Satoshi spoke "See ya later!"

Sam spoke "Or when we're born!"

Tia suddenly jolted awake from the dream.

Tia spoke "By Arcee's light... I'm never going to drink coffee before bed again...."

*Back with my group*

Amy asks "Isn't that the eleven tailed fuzzball?"

We saw an odd hybrid Mobian with a direwolf beastman and a black-scaled bearded dragon Mobian. All three of which were males as Ichigo was carrying Shizue with all of us at this "Kira's" house.

The hybrid was more Equian than Mobian despite walking on his hind legs.

Amy pulls out a dress from somewhere and puts it on me since I had no clothes on.

Koichi spoke "Josuke! Princess Ichigo! Okuyasu! Mr. Midnight!"

Midnight asks "Huh? Ah, Koichi. You showed up. *Notices us* You brought help?"

Koichi spoke "Well, they wanted to, and since this house is empty, I don't think there's a problem."

Midnight spoke "Hmm, that's a fair point."

Shirou spoke "I got nothing either."

Midnight spoke "Come on, let's go."

We went inside the house and started searching this place as Pharnyx and I were with Josuke, Midnight, Shirou and the bloodhound as the hybrid found and brought out a picture book.

Josuke spoke "Given how much this kid looks like our guy, this must be his album."

Midnight spoke "Yoshikage Kira. Born 33 years ago, nearly two meters tall, weighs 65 kg and his blood type being A. Born to elder parents, and at age 21, his father died from disease, soon followed by his mother of old age. 11 years ago, he because major Literature graduate of D University while in the same year started working at Kame Yu in S-City, then 6 years ago, he transferred to the Morioh branch. He has no criminal records, no wive, no girlfriend, and no personal friends. He never even had surgery before. Which means we can't find him using fingerprints, dental records or surgical wounds."

Josuke spoke "So what you're trying to say is that we've reached a dead end."

"What gives?" I asked not liking the sound of that.

Midnight spoke "Actually, look at the trophies and certificates. All bronze and third places, telling us that he's an average joe, that there's nothing unique about him, no matter what talent it is. Even in pictures he stood in the background, never getting anyone to look down on him or envious of him. He never shows his strengths or weaknesses to anyone."

Josuke spoke "Which means..."

Pharynx spoke "Huh, clever guy."

Midnight spoke "It was all a front. He was hiding his talent and intelligence on purpose, knowing that blending with the crowd would work best for him, especially if it comes to not having any problems. *Closes album* I suggested coming here because we could find hobbies or interests that could have any clue that could help."

Josuke asks "Hobbies? I may have found one. *Approaches a desk* For some weird reasons, he found a bunch of jars in this drawer. *Opens drawer* You see?"

We indeed saw jars in the drawer, each lid having a year labeled on top.

Josuke spoke "*Grabs a jar* If you ask me, this looks like a collection of bonito flakes. But what is it with the numbers? Must be the years."

The rest of us noticed a nail clipper as Josuke opened the jar and put some of the contents in his hands while taking a sniff as Shirou covered his nose.

Josuke asks "Yuck! They smell rancid. What are they?"

Midnight spoke "From the looks of this tool, fingernail/claw clippings."

Josuke asks "...Huh?"

We took a closer look, and saw that they were fingernail/claw clippings as Josuke yelped in disgust throwing the jar and clippings in the air with them falling safely on the ground.

Josuke spoke "Who's nails do you think they are? *Gasps as Midnight brought out some kind of notebook and opened it* Hold on..."

Midnight spoke "Easy there, they're his own clippings, not any victims. Kira made notes on his clippings."

Josuke spoke "Notes? You mean those numbers on the jar? You mean he's been collecting these things? That's 15 years of yuck! *Gasp* There are details about every finger! According to this, 15 years ago, his right thumb grew a nail/claw that was 31 and a half centimeters long! Wait a sec! I'm pretty sure 15 years ago was the when Reimi Sugimoto was murdered!"

Shirou spoke "And from the looks of it, he started making the notes that year. Probably couldn't hold in his murderous instincts anymore at that point."

Josuke spoke "*As Midnight turned the page* Whoa! This is all the info he collected about his toenail/claws!"

Midnight spoke "An average hard-working man in an office has quite a special hobby. See?"

On a page we saw kanji saying something.

Shirou spoke "It says "Best condition! Nobody can stop me now"."

Midnight spoke "Seems like he went on some kind of rite of passage through this notebook. It's similar to ancient Jewish merchants using sunspots to predict business prospects. Which means Yoshikage Kira compared the the growing length of the nail/claws to his physical and mental condition. Condition as a killer anyway."

Josuke spoke "*Gasp!* Check out this year! The June of then, they'd grown over 20 centimeters! I knew he was crazy, but this is sick!"

A Bloodhound beastwoman spoke "That must've been the scent I found earlier."

Shirou spoke "We could try baiting him to come out of hiding and I believe we have the right bait for the situation."

Pharynx spoke "Stupid wolf, we can't use that idea. What if the guy who had his identity stolen had a wife and child? We need a better plan."

Shirou growled before we saw a flash with a camera going off, immediately catching out attention as we saw a photo come out of it.

Josuke asks "What the heck, Midnight? You think someone's skulking around the house under our noses?"

Midnight spoke "It's possible. Everyone, don't stand down."

Josuke asks "Could he have been maybe working with a partner?"

Midnight spoke "Impossible, he's too careful for that. More people means more traces to him. So a partner could've ratted him out. So the thought won't even cross his mind."

But then Josuke, Pharnyx and I saw something in the photo.

Josuke spoke "Is that... M-Midnight! Quickly, look at the camera!"

Everyone else in the room looked at the photo as we all saw an old male cat mobian in the photo.

Midnight spoke "No denying it... That's Kira's father!"

Josuke asks "He's behind us, just sitting in the corner! *Looks behind us, seeing nothing* Where'd he go?! That's really freaky! We're in a big load of trouble! Are we actually dealing with a ghost?"

Midnight spoke "That possibility's not out of the window since Reimi's a ghost right now. Which means this guy's somehow stuck in a spiritual limbo, between the living and the dead. And look at his face, he's expecting us to run."

But then the home phone started ringing, catching our attention.

Josuke spoke "Hey, are you trying to give us the willies with your spooky ghost energy? This sucks. We can't leave with all this paranormal stuff going on."

The old tom growls "Answer the damn phone, slacker! Can't you hear me callin'?!"

The home phone started floating before it flew, hitting Josuke on the chin as it crashed and broke against the ground.

The old tom growls "You think my face is saying take a hike? Well, you couldn't be more wrong! You are look at the face of a man who will never allow you to leave this house alive! I'll kill you for going after my son!"

Josuke asks "Old fart! Do you know about all the crimes your son has committed?!"

Okuyasu asks "*From the distance* Hey you guys, what's with all the racket in here? Is something wrong?"

Josuke spoke "Where the heck are you hiding?! Show yourself, you geriatric ghost!"

Koichi asks "There's a ghost?"

Ichigo started getting scared as we looked around while Midnight and Shirou looked at the photo.

Midnight spoke "He isn't hiding, guys. Kira's old man was in the room watching us the whole time."

We looked at the photo, seeing Kira's father holding the phone in the photo, and it wasn't damaged at all.

Josuke asks "What the?! When did he...?!"

Shirou spoke "He can move in the picture, making the call from inside and threw the phone at you from inside too."

Kira's Father spoke "I'll kill you! *Stands up* If you dare go after my dearest son, I'll murder you!"

Biting back her fear while looking at the photo of the male, Ichigo spoke "Sir, calm down. We're only trying to stop Kira. He's been causing problems for the folks of Morioh. I swear on my alicorn status that everything I say is true."

Zoey pops up with Dren and Pigment in tow.

Eyes glowing red so she could see the actual ghost of Mr Kira, Pigment spoke "That enough sir! Your son has been causing problems for others!"

Kira’s Father spoke "You think I don’t know about what he’s doing?! What kind of father does not support his son no matter what?! That’s why I’ll kill you!"

Koichi spoke "Hey, Josuke! Even if we can’t physically fight a ghost, our Stands can. On the day we met Reimi, Rohan-sensei used Heaven’s Door to read her memories."

Josuke spoke "Good to know. *Summons Shining Diamond as it tore apart the photo* How do you like this!"

But suddenly, parts of us started splitting apart.

Josuke asks "What?"

We looked at the photo pieces, the rips being exactly were our parts are splitting off from.

Midnight spoke "This isn’t good. Damage the photo and we’ll damage ourselves. Put the photo back together Josuke or we’ll die!"

Shining Diamond did that, restoring the photo and putting our bodies back together, still alive.

Koichi spoke "Thank goodness you guys are back to normal."

Kira’s Father spoke "Those powers… Yes, it’s all making sense. You whelps have special abilities like my son."

Josuke spoke "Okuyasu, it’s time for you to do your thing! You have to hurry up and use the Hand to cut this crusty old man out of the picture."

Okuyasu spoke "*Summons the Hand* Gotcha. *Starts running* You just leave everything to me, Josuke!"

Somehow, Okuyasu crashed against the window on the other side outside of the room, bringing the two window doors down.

Josuke spoke "Okuyasu!"

Okuyasu asks "What the heck happened? How’d I run straight into the window? That’s so weird?"

Koichi put his hand into the room, only for them to reach other side outside the room. “*Gasp!* What the heck?! You guys see my hands?! They’re over there! *Pulls hands back* There’s something stopping me from coming into the room with you!

Josuke tried shouldering out of the room, only to crash against something invisible and impenetrable wall. “What in the heck? *As Shining Diamond delivered a flurry of punches and I tried to kick the barrier down, only to not break through at all* I don’t know how, but there’s an invisible wall blocking anyone from entering! And I don’t think we can break it!”

Pharynx spoke "This isn’t good!"

Kira’s Father spoke "I see you’ve finally figured it out. Hehehehe. This photo is special. The invisible wall that you’re so worked up about is actually the edge of this picture. I’m a ghost who lives out his days in a photograph. I can control the space of any picture in which I appear. By using that camera, I trap a person’s spiritual energy within a photograph. That’s my power. The room you’re in is inside the picture. Damaging the photo means damaging the spiritual energy too, which won’t end well for you."

Okuyasu asks "But that doesn’t make a lick of sense. How are we in the picture if I’m lookin’ right at it?"

Kira’s Father spoke "You’re clearly not the brightest, so I’m gonna spell it out for you. *Wielding a knife* After I kill these fools I’ll snare you, the brat and everyone else and shred you to pieces!"

Koichi spoke "J-Josuke! Mr. Midnight! Everyone!"

Kira’s Father spoke "Time to die."

Josuke spoke "You little-! Get us out of here right now! Midnight, Shirou, why are you just standing around? Midnight, your Star Platinum is super powerful, so hurry up and do something!"

Midnight spoke "Sorry, but no can do."

“Huh?!” Those of us in the room, except Shirou and DuBois, gasped in shock.

Midnight spoke "Stopping that bag of bones can’t be done, and we can’t tear the picture apart since it’ll tear us along with it. Even stopping time with Star Platinum won’t do us any good. I’d just waste my energy."

Josuke gasps "I can’t believe it… What are you saying? Have you completely lost your mind?!"

Kira’s Father growls "Die… Die… Die!"

The old cat cut off the heads of all our photo selves before the severed heads froze in midair, making Josuke drop the picture in horror as Shirou grabbed the photo. A drawer opened on its own as a knife floated out of it.

Kira’s Father spoke "Your heads have got some good spin to ‘em."

The knife pointed at Josuke. “Great, he’s got a knife.”

The knife then flew at him as Shining Diamond tried to punch it, but the attacks phased right through it.

Josuke spoke "It’s not working. I can’t touch it, Midnight!"

Midnight spoke "Shirou, DuBois and I gave up on stopping that fart. But…"

Shirou aimed the photo, more specifically, Kira’s father at the camera.

Kira’s Father asks "What?"

The camera went off as a photo came out as the one Shirou held didn’t have Kira’s father in there anymore.

Midnight spoke "If he was serious about controlling any photo he’s in… *As Shirou let the photo fall* then the best course of action is to take a picture of him, and only him, so he’s all alone."

The photo that came out showed Kira’s father surrounded by darkness. “What the?!”

Josuke looked around the knife suspended in midair before giving it a tap, making it fall harmlessly on the ground as he, Pharynx and I sighed in relief.

DuBois spoke "Voila."

Mr Kira growls "You found a way to sidestep my attack entirely!"

Midnight spoke "How about giving him a proper farewell, Josuke? Add some pizzaz to it."

Josuke spoke "Huh? Uh…. It looks like you weren’t so big and bad after all, fool!"

The photo started flying.

Kira’s Father asks "I underestimated you, but I see you’re seasoned fighters. You’ve got lots of experience battling opponents with special abilities like my son, don’t you?"

Josuke spoke Remember, the old fart’s a ghost. He can get out of the picture."

Mr Kira reached out of the photo towards the camera before Star Platinum wrecked it as Midnight grabbed the photo and started folding it.

Midnight spoke "We gotta make sure you’re good at staying in place. It’s obvious you don’t want us to find something in this house to find. Which is the reason you tried to kill us."

Midnight then completely folded the photo. "Not to mention Pigment slipped something in right before that fossil took a picture of us."

We looked at the picture again, showing us some kind of trap.

Midnight chuckles "This'll be more secure than tape and a tack."

Pigment activated the trap as Midnight let the folded photo go, allowing the trap to suck it in before it closed as Kira's father screamed in rage while inside, causing the trap to comically hop a bit.

Okuyasu spoke "Oh, I get it. Fold that crusty old prune in half, and he can’t get out. Looks like we win this one."

Midnight spoke "Amy, Zoey, Dren, Okuyasu and Koichi search this room with Pigment keeping watch. The rest and I will take care of the other room.

Amy spoke "Smart thinking, use a ghost trap to catch a ghost."

Pigment then started floating around said trap.

Zoey asks "Pigment, what are you doing?"

Pigment spoke "Keeping an eye on it."

Zoey picks up the ghost trap and stores it in her item box spell.

Zoey spoke "That oughta provide extra security."

I along with Midnight's group started searching our area.

*Zoey's POV*

Koichi asks "What could he be hiding that's so important so important, he'd do all this to keep us from finding it?"

Okuyasu spoke "I don't have the foggiest clue, but I'm not gonna sweat it. If the old man turns white as a sheet, we should be good."

Yoshihiro spoke "Help me...! I can't breath...! It's torture in here! Can't I have a bit of air? Just poke a couple of holes in this thing and let me catch my breath..."

Koichi asks "What? You seriously can't breath in there?"

Okuyasu spoke "He's pulling your leg, Koichi. Don't fall for it. He wants to make an opening so he can get away."

I spoke "And you better not even THINK about breaking the triple barrier on the trap either Okuyasu, it can only be removed by another alicorn."

Okuyasu spoke "Huh? What makes you think I would? And besides, the Hand can just scrape away those barriers no problem."

I wingslap Okuyasu upside the back of the head.

I spoke "I'm serious, alicorn magic can't be removed by a Stand."

Okuyasu asks "*Scoff* How can you know that for sure?"

I spoke "You obviously don't know who my grandfather is though. But that aside, I'm not going to let the old fart loose. I'd never hear the end of it from Danyelle if you let Mr Kira loose."

But then we heard Josuke yell as we went to him.

Josuke asks "There's no way... I mean this is the bow, but... Why is it here? I just don't understand. We've already retrieved them from Otoishi! I thought the Speedwagon Foundation was guarding them. What's going on? Is this another set? And why isn’t the arrow in here with the boy? Did someone already take it?"

We checked and none of us had the arrow, which wasn’t a good thing.

Josuke spoke "Frickin' great! At least now we know what Kira's father was trying to stop us from finding. He was hiding another bow and arrow!"

I spoke "Mr Kira is still trapped so I don't think.... Oh hell no! The arrow is in his possession!"

Midnight spoke "Calm down. We don’t know who has it, but whoever it is, it’s not a good sign if they knew we’d investigate the house."

I ask "But where is the arrow anyway?"

Limestone spoke "I dunno what this arrow you’re talking about is, but it’s definitely not here."

I spoke "Uh guys..."

I turned my back to the others, causing them to panic since the arrow was lodged in my back.

Koichi asks "What in the?"

I spoke "That old bag manipulated the photo of me..."

Josuke spoke "H-Hold on! I'll get that out!"

Shirou spoke "Don't be stupid Josuke! If you pull that out... Not only would you kill MY granddaughter, you'd be killing my grandson in-law too."

Josuke yells "WHAT?!"

Midnight spoke "Yeesh, that's more troublesome than that Lovers Stand the others and I beat."

I spoke "My grandpa's right Josuke, Dren and I are a bonded pair. If I die, he dies too by committing suicide and I'd rather not have my dad AND uncle chew you out for it."

Dren carefully removes the arrow from my back.

Dren spoke "There we go."

I spoke "Thanks Dren dear."

Dren spoke "No prob."

"Though I wouldn't mind you stabbing something else in me." I teased with a giggle, making Dren blush.

Shirou laughs "Horny cat!"

"Anyway, I think we're done here." I noted.

Dren spoke "We've got the arrow and bow secured. All that's left is to turn the items over to the Speedwagon Foundation."

I tease "Oh and grandpa, you're no better since you act like a horny wolf around grandma!"

Shirou flinched at that.

Dren spoke "Hey, easy on him and Luna. Otherwise the Alicorn might challenge you to something."

I tease while wrapping my tail around Dren's waist.

I spoke "I can't help it Dren, I've got Ogami blood in my veins."

Dren spoke "Sheesh, no wonder Sonic has so many."

I spoke "But I would never take on another spouse since you're the only one for me Dren."

Dren spoke "Not like I can get anymore due to the laws back home."

I spoke "Sonic can get away with having a herd since he's part alicorn."

Pharynx spoke "Well, we should get going."

I giggle "Since Danyelle and Cadence aren't here...."

I fling Pharynx at Limestone with my magic, causing the two to kiss.

A flash of light had appeared on my hips but the marking was hidden due to my clothes.

"Huh?" I noticed, sensing something new on me.

A pop was heard since I had switched to my full cat form, fully exposing my newly obtained cutie mark.

"Meow?! (What?!)" I gasped in shock.

Ichigo spoke "Seems like you got a cutie mark... The starburst is because of your magic, the hearts are because of the stunt you recently pulled and the strawberry represents your weapon."

"Meow? (Really?)" I asked.

Ichigo spoke "Yeah and Josuke, I want to talk to you about something later. Just the two of us."

Josuke asks "Huh?"

I spoke via telepathy "{Oh jeez... If it's what I think it is, I'm not sticking around to find out!}"

But then Dren picked me up, making me meow with a blush.

I spoke "{We might want to leave the two alone.}"

Ichigo teleported with Josuke to a different location.

*Ichigo's POV*

I ask "Josuke, can I ask you something... personal?"

Josuke asks "Huh?"

I ask "Do you remember the promise we made once you graduated from high school?"

Josuke asks "Yeah, is something wrong?"

I whimper "Some asshole has threatened me into an arranged marriage.... if I don't accept, Shizue will be killed..."

Josuke spoke "*Sigh* Just frickin' great. Some guys just can't take a hint."

I spoke "Plus the jerk's a Yakuza boss... And I heard that he's a follower of Dio...."

Josuke spoke "*Annoyed sigh* Sounds like he'll need a one-way trip to the hospital."

I spoke "Josuke no... His buddies will beat seven kinds of rainbow colored crap out of you!"

Josuke spoke "You do realize what happens when I get angry, right? They grind my gears and they'll get sent to the hospital."

I spoke "Plus Shizue and I are the only two who are able to calm you down if you go off the deep end."

Josuke spoke "Still, they wouldn't be a problem, even if some of the others were helping."

I spoke "Those assholes will regret pissing a princess off!"
