*Starlight's POV*

An excited Firestar crashed into a wall since he had recently gotten a cutie mark which was a flaming star.

Blackstar chuckles "Great StarClan Firestar, you can be rather excitable at times."

"Wow! I never expected that!" I admitted.

Danyelle giggles "Kinda reminds you of how Sunburst was when he got his cutie mark."

"Huh?" I asked in confusion.

Danyelle spoke "StarClan's sakes Starlight, I have the Dimensional Scream."

"Oh." I noted.

Firestar soon got his head out of the wall before turning to face a laughing Leopardstar.

Firestar growls "Quit laughing at me, you diabetic speckled flabby tabby!"

Leopardstar spoke "How dare you!"

The two Clan leaders were soon in a fight cloud.

Jasmine popped up. "Hmm? Who're they?"

Danyelle spoke "Hi, Jasmine."

Ichigo spoke "The fiery orange cat is Firestar, the speckled tabby is Leopardstar."

Leopardstar spoke "I'm just a little more hungry than most."

Firestar chuckles "You really are a fishbrain sometimes Leopardstar."

Leopardstar spoke "*Angry* I am not!"

Jasmine brought out some nice juicy fish, catching Leopardstar's attention as she went starry-eyed.

Ichigo was also drooling.

Firestar laughs "Great StarClan! Seems like Ichigo is eyeing the fish as well!"

Jasmine spoke "*Smile* Yare Yare daze... *Brings out another fresh fish* Don't worry, I have plenty."

Soon enough, a scream was heard from Mistyfoot.

Danyelle spoke "Oh what now..."

Jasmine spoke "*Gives a fish to Leopardstar and a fish to Ichigo as they ravenously started eating away* Beats me."

Blackstar spoke "Sounded like Mistyfoot freaked out about something."

Ichigo and Leopardstar exclaim "*Happily* SO GOOD!!!"

Danyelle spoke "With the sudden increase of Mobian cats, we might have to set up a new town close to Ponyville for them."

"You think we could make a connection to that and Capper's hometown?" I asked as Ichigo and Leopardstar soon finished their fish, sitting on their butts with comically distended bellies and satisfied sighs.

Danyelle spoke "Abyssinians are a bit more lankier than Mobian cats are but given the ages of the clan cats, they're all school age... Which might cause a huge problem if the EEA found out."

Twilight asks "Danyelle, our school goes by its own rules, remember?"

Danyelle spoke "I know that Twilight but five clans worth of school-aged cats will cause a huge problem if they found out that none of the cats are in school."

Jasmine spoke "Danyelle, calm down. You're making a fuss over nothing. The answer to that is simple, you can invite them there and let them decide."

Danyelle spoke "I hadn't thought of it like that."

Zoey and Dren soon arrive with Sunburst in tow since the stallion's cutie mark as well as the catgirl's cutie mark were glowing.

Zoey spoke "Hey Starlight, we got a map mission."

I didn’t seem that excited.

Zoey spoke "I understand your problem Starlight, I had the same issue with my dad back when I started dating Dren."

Sunburst spoke "Huh? *Notices location* Oh, I see."

Dren spoke "If it helps, Zoey and I will tag along."

I ask "Really?"

“Of course.” Zoey smiled while ruffing my mane before Ichigo and Leopardstar were plumped up into 1,000 pounds, giving out a few burps.

Ichigo spoke "*Smiles with an eye roll* Shoulda guessed, Jasmine."

Jasmine spoke "*Shrug* Eh, you gotta do what you gotta do."

Leopardstar spoke "Wow… I feel so soft."

Ichigo spoke "I don’t mind being like this, but if you’re okay with it."

Jasmine: Fair enough."

Jasmine snapped her fingers, slimming Ichigo back down to normal.

Firestar laughs "Who's the flabby tabby now Leopardstar?"

Leopardstar asks "*Smirk* What? Jealous of how soft I am?"

Firestar spoke "I'm not answering that."

“She adapted quickly.” I noted in surprise.

Zoey spoke "We should get going Starlight."

“Right.” I nodded.

Dren spoke "Let’s go."

The other three and I head to Sire's Hollow via warp wing.

Zoey spoke "Yeah, I spoke to Twilight and Sonic about using warp rings to travel to distant places. It'd save bits on buying a train ticket."

Dren asks "Is it just me or does it look a bit odd?"

Zoey spoke "Now that you mention it Dren, it does."

“That’s weird.” I noted.

Dren notices that the library was off limits.

Dren spoke "*sweatdrop* Good thing Twilight's not here."

Zoey spoke "Ditto."

Dren notices a unicorn stallion approaching.

Zoey spoke "This won't end well..."

Dren spoke "Agreed..."

It’s my dad…

Zoey spoke "Hello sir."

To the stallion's surprise, I wasn't full unicorn anymore.

The stallion asks "Starlight?"

I sigh "Hey dad..."

My dad suddenly hugged me tightly.

I immediately teleported out of the choke hold.

I spoke "Watch it dad! You nearly choked me to death! I'm smaller than I should be!"

Firelight asks "What happened to you?"

Zoey spoke "I'll answer that one sir, a stupid sheep used a perma-transformation potion on Starlight thus causing her to turn into a Mew Poke-Mobian."

Dad didn’t seem happy about that.

Zoey asks "That aside... What are you doing to the places around here?"

Firelight spoke "I’m bringing back and preserving the past."

A mare scoffs "More like a museum if you ask me."

Sunburst spoke "Oh boy…"

Zoey spoke "Now that I have the full story, it seems Starlight and Sunburst have problems with their respective parent."

Dren spoke "Definitely."

Zoey spoke "It's what my talent is after all, I solve personal problems."

Dren asks "Just don’t do their mission for them, okay Kitten?"

Zoey giggles "Okay Dren."

Dren kissed Zoey on the lips as she kissed back.

Zoey was purring.

Dren was purring back as his arms were around Zoey’s waist and hers around his neck.

I spoke "*AHEM!*"

Zoey spoke "*Giggle* We’ll continue this later, alien boy."

Dren chuckles "Okay Kitty Cat."

The two let each other go before walking together with their tails intertwined.

Zoey spoke "Let’s get to business."

I spoke "Right."

We first went to my house.

Zoey bit back a snicker since my dad was embarrassing me even more.

I spoke "Dad, stop! This is why I haven't sent you any letters lately, not since mom died."

That made Sunburst, Zoey and Dren freeze.

Zoey asks "I hate to say this though Starlight but what the actual fuck?"

Sunburst spoke "What? But when we were foals, I saw her plenty of times and-"

I spoke "Sunburst... Just stop... I don't want to open that emotional wound..."

That made dad silent and I know perfectly why.

Zoey spoke "Maybe your mom's out there somewhere Starlight."

But then Danyelle suddenly arrived via warp ring, humming a tune.

Zoey spoke "Your timing couldn't be any better Danyelle, I was able to figure out the problem but now... A new problem has appeared."

Danyelle spoke "Hm? I was listening to a tune and thinking about friends that could help the CMCs."

Zoey asks "Huh?"

Danyelle asks "Changing subjects, what new problem?"

Firelight spoke "Both Stellar Flare and I have been getting complaints about a lone Songwing."

Danyelle spoke "Wait, did you say Songwing? *pulling out a modified copy of the book that Warrior-verse Danyelle had written* According to this book, Songwings are often found in pairs but if the pair get separated... They will use their melodic voices to call out to each other."

I ask "Huh? *Remembers something* Wait, where's Sunspot?"

Stellar Flare spoke ".... He's dead... A Timber wolf ripped him to shreds..."

Sunburst's glasses glimmered brightly at that, keeping us from seeing his eyes.

I tailslap Sunburst on the back of the head.

I spoke "Sunburst, you do realize that Danyelle never even met your father. Which means she, Zane and Sardon can't help."

Sunburst didn't respond, telling me he already knew that and what happened was a sore subject for him, like losing my mother was for me.

Looking at me, Danyelle asks "If it's too painful to remember, what did your mother look like as a unicorn?"

But before I could answer, an alluring roar was heard like that of a siren.

Stuffing thick cotton into her ears, Danyelle spoke "That must be the Songwing now!"

"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion.

Danyelle spoke "According to the book I have, a Songwing's singing is known to hypnotize people."

"Wait-Huh?!" I gasped.

Danyelle spoke "Normally, it hypnotizes other dragons, but after practice and improvement, the song can hypnotize other species and creatures too."

Zoey asks "And the only way to stop it is finding its partner?"

Danyelle spoke "Precisely."

Dren spoke "Define that."

Danyelle spoke "Either its best friend or mate."

Zoey spoke "Regardless, we should stop it."

Wait, somehow I don’t feel affected.

Firelight spoke "Something's wrong..."

Danyelle asks "Huh?"

Firelight spoke "There’s something familiar about that voice."

A colorful dragon flew overhead.

Firelight started to sing the song he had sang the day he got married, getting the dragon's attention.

Firelight: fly to me my maid of song
I miss your voice
it's been too long
hear me now
answer my call
when we sing as one
we have it all
wherever you are
come join me, so we can be in harmony...

That made the dragon calm down before landing.

Firelight asks "M-Melodia?"

“Huh?” I asked, totally confused.

Danyelle uses her dimensional scream to show me a memory of my foalhood, back when my mother was still a unicorn.

Past Starlight spoke "Heehee! Momma!"

Danyelle spoke "Try to remember Starlight."

The mare spoke "*GIggles while picking up Past Starlight* I'll never get tired of saying this. I love you, my little star song."

The next memory shows a slightly older Starlight just after Sunburst got his cutie mark.

A reddish pink coated unicorn mare with moderate heliotrope eyes and a dark heliotrope mane skidded to a stop in front of Firelight's house before knocking loudly on the door.

Burning Heart shouts "Firelight! I got bad news!"

Firelight asks "Hmm?"

Burning Heart spoke "I bring bad news... It's about your wife... Juno and Love Melody found her body outside Sire's Hollow... I fear she might be dead..."

Firelight asks "*Quietly* What?!"

I saw my past self having heard that, as I can tell something snapped in her, making Past Starlight fall unconscious with a grieving tear. I remember that all too well. Losing Sunburst because he got a cutie mark earlier than me, and my mom dying, it shattered my whole world.

All of a sudden, a raw magic surge mixed with a Soul Rebirth straight from Canterlot had hit the dead mare's body, turning her into a Songwing.

Taking on her own Mew form, Danyelle hugs me close as I cried.

Danyelle spoke "I had no idea my powers could do this. But I don’t know if that surge affected only her. For all I know, others could’ve been affected, but the effects laid dormant for if their time came too soon, they’d get a second chance."

I spoke "Either way, I had no idea who had saved my mother back then.... Not until that one Hearth's Warming in Canterlot when you tracked me down and helped me reunite with my friend."

Danyelle spoke "I couldn’t let you go down a dark path."

I spoke "I can't ever thank you enough Danyelle, you saved my mom back then. And then you saved me from going down a path I wasn't meant to take..."

Soon, Dany and I were back in reality as Melodia approached my dad in curiosity.

Firelight asks "Melodia, is that really you?"

Melodia tried to answer, but could only growl.

Danyelle spoke "*Facepalm!* Oops! Almost forgot."

I kick Danyelle in the ass with a foot.

Danyelle spoke "Gyah! I was gonna help her be able to talk."

Zoey asks "How Danyelle?"

Danyelle spoke "A simple spell."

An unknown voice from the gold band on Danyelle's left wrist spoke "Or perhaps a bit of genie magic can help!"

An orange coated unicorn mare with light orange eyes and jet-black mane appears.

“Another one?” I noticed.

Danyelle spoke "Amani..."

Amani asks "Hmm? Something wrong?"

Danyelle spoke "I wish that Melodia could speak the same language as the Mobians and other Equian species."

Amani spoke "You got it."

Amani’s horn glowed before firing a beam at Melodia right in the open mouth before she coughed out a bit of magic dust.

I ask "Will it work?"

Melodia spoke "*Cough! Cough!* Could've gone easy on the magic blast!"

Danyelle spoke "Mind you, I have only three wishes when it comes to genie magic and I can't use them for my own reasons."

Amani spoke "That's right, *Raises both forehooves* now you have two left."

Danyelle spoke "One of which will be used to set you free though Amani."

"And something's telling me you're saving that one for last." I noted.

Danyelle spoke "Yeah, that reminds me. Starlight and Sunburst, I believe you have something to say to your parents."

Melodia spoke "More precisely to Firelight and Stellar Flare."

Looking at Melodia, I spoke "This concerns you as well."

Melodia asks "Hmm? Is something the matter, star song?"

I spoke "Dad, I'm sorry for not writing back as much as I should be."

Sunburst spoke "And mom, the reason why I don't make permanent plans for the future is because you can never tell what could happen."

That left Melodia surprised.

Danyelle's ears twitch since she picked an unknown clan cat scent.

Danyelle growls "Whoever is hiding better come out right now before I lash out with fire!"

Leopardstar suddenly showed up. "W-Whoa! Calm down, Dany! It's just me!"

Whoa, Leopardstar certainly enjoyed whatever she ate, cause she looked like she weighed at least 3,000 pounds now with her belly fully bare.

Danyelle spoke "StarClan's sakes Leopardstar, I thought you were a different cat!"

Leopardstar spoke "Sorry. *Belch!*"

Looking at Danyelle and Leopardstar, Firelight spoke "Now that I think about it, there have been reports of a strange group of Abyssinians not far from here that have been causing trouble. Love Melody snared one a short while ago. Female, I think. But there was no leader to keep them in line. So I was thinking you two could handle it."

Danyelle spoke "I'll try my best."

Leopardstar spoke "As will I."
