Arthur Williams is an knight returning from third Crusade. After returning to his home in England, lost and not sure if he is worthy of his title, he finds his home was attacked by wild animals. In the attempt to fix this problem, the finds himself in Canterlot Castle gardens. Realizing that he is not on Earth anymore, Princess Celestia allows him to join her guard.

(This story takes place about 10 years before the first season when Celestia just make Twilight her student. There will be some talk of self-harm from Arthur when he talks about his past, but nothing too serious.)
