Chapters Neighsay was rushed to the hospital in a flash. The doctors took several x-rays and determined that he had multiple injuries. His rib-cage was shattered, he had a broken nose, all four of his legs were crushed, and his vertebrae were smashed. Neighsay was confirmed deceased. His funeral was held the following week and the entire nation was present. Once his casket was sealed over with dirt, everyone left in sadness. No-one ever thought that he would be so troubled by his past that he would take his own life. In the end, all of the schools in Equestria were given full accreditation by the revised EEA curriculum, including the School of Friendship. Any schools that had been previously closed were reopened and more students from the other races were enrolled to learn the importance and benefits of friendship. Equestria became a much better place than it was before Twilight started her school. From the heavens, Neighsay realized that Twilight was right and how he could have avoided suicide if he had not been so strict with his regulations.
After figuring out that Twilight Sparkle had enrolled non-pony students at her school, Chancellor Neighsay angrily accused her of secretly planning to destroy Equestria. In retaliation, he closed the school. A few days later, he discovered that Twilight had destroyed his seal. Upon confronting Twilight, he was confronted himself and thwarted by Princess Celestia. Twilight promised that her curriculum would help the other races get along better and brighten the future of Equestria. Refusing to believe Twilight, he left in rage. Little does he know what is about to happen.
Two weeks after stating his suspicions that Twilight's school would destroy Equestria, Neighsay began to have problems at work. He had been having bad dreams in which he would get angry letters that his curriculum was too strict and gave teachers very little leeway. He would also have flashbacks to when he did follow-up inspections of previously accredited schools. Even if there was a small slip-up, he would either penalize or close the schools completely. His companions began to get worried and eventually wrote to Celestia. She sent a scroll to Neighsay, requesting his presence. He arrived in the throne room without delay.
"Your companions have told me that you are having a mental breakdown. Is this correct?", Celestia asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I am having a breakdown.", Neighsay replied in a shaky voice.
"Tell me about some of the images you have been seeing.", Celestia said calmly.
"In one of my dreams, I received angry letters from schools that ran by my curriculum. They said that my regulations were far too strict and that they were writing their own rules. I have also had flashbacks to some of the times I would do follow-up inspections. I was so stern that I would either penalize or even close schools completely if they had even the smallest slip-up. I regret being such a hard stickler for how schools should function."
After hearing the details of his visions and bad dreams, Celestia became worried and referred Neighsay to a psychologist. After a few weeks of counseling, things seemed to be looking up. However, Neighsay began to have the visions again and they were way worse than the first time. Some of them made him wake up screaming and covered in sweat. He later made a drastic decision that he was no longer cut out to be in charge of the EEA.
One evening, Celestia was looking over some paperwork when a guard knocked on the door.
"Come," she said.
The guard walked in and set a box on her desk. Inside the box was the EEA medallion and a note. Celestia opened the scroll and was floored by what it said.
Dear Princess Celestia,
My treatment was going well for two weeks, but my bad images started coming back with a vengeance. I have decided that I am no longer cut out to be head of the EEA. My resignation is effective immediately. I am returning the medallion to you so that a new leader can be chosen.

Celestia immediately put out a notice that the EEA needed a new leader and several individuals signed up. After interviewing the applicants, she chose Starlight Glimmer to be the new leader. Twilight was proud that Starlight had applied and that she had adjusted the curriculum requirements to better fit a proper school environment, but she also felt sorry for Neighsay. She knew he had taken a long vacation to various places throughout Equestria, but had no idea that the end was coming fast.
Celestia was worried that something terrible was going to happen to Neighsay. He had not been seen by anyone for over a month after he resigned from the EEA. Twilight proposed going to see him one evening, and Celestia agreed. They knocked on the door, but he didn't answer. Shockingly, they found that the door was unlocked. Inside, they found a note on a table.
"My departure from Equestria is my quickest way to rid myself of the terrifying images I have had in my head for the past month and a half. I am terribly sorry."
"What can this mean?", Twilight asked in alarm.
"I don't know. We have to find him and figure out what he means."
As they made their way back to the palace, they suddenly heard yells coming from the middle of Canterlot.
"OH MY GOSH! HE'S GOING TO JUMP!"
Twilight whipped out a pair of binoculars and looked around until she saw a pony standing on the pinnacle of the castle. Looking closer, she realized it was Neighsay. She could not look anymore, and shut her eyes. Once the screaming died down, she and Celestia rushed to the center of the city. Neighsay was laying facedown on the ground and was not moving. Blood was everywhere and there were several cuts on his face.
Suddenly, Twilight realized what she and Celestia had found. Neighsay had written a suicide note.
