The End of Sombra's lineage

As Brandon was loading medical supplies onto Colin's ship, Cadence gave them some bad news.

"I just looked at the weather in the area where Twilight is. The storm is getting stronger. I don't know if we can do a safe rescue until this clears up.", she said sadly.

Flurry Heart chimed in with something that forced Cadence to change her mind.

"You may want to rethink that, Mom. Aunt Twilight's vital signs are weakening. If we don't save her soon, she is going to die. She was taken by surprise, so she has nothing to protect her from the cold temperatures. Also, her pulse is out of control. This could mean she is losing blood. We have to save her now."

"Flurry's right, with that kind of situation, the victim must be rescued ASAP.", Colin said.

Afraid to lose her sister-in-law, Cadence accepted what was brought to her attention and Flurry followed Brandon and Colin onto the Eclipse. As the hatch was being closed, she warned them to be careful.

Twenty minutes later...

The three arrived near the area where the storm was raging and Flurry got ready to deploy her snow speeder. As she was closing the cockpit hatch, Brandon wished her luck.

"Hopefully she is still alive when you reach her. Our radar says she is 300 yards straight ahead. Temperatures are reaching the negatives. Good luck out there."

"Thank you, Brandon."

"You're clear for deployment.", Colin said as he dropped the loading pad onto the snow.

Flurry fired the engines and headed into the blizzard. Colin quickly closed the hatches after Flurry was clear so that nothing would freeze up and activated a cold shield so the engines would not be affected. As Flurry sped through the raging storm, the radar showed that she was getting close to her aunt, but the vitals were declining quickly as well. Once she had reached Twilight, she pulled her face scarf up, put on her goggles, and put the hood up on her coat before opening the hatch. She saw the purple from Twilight's tail and quickly dug her out. Twilight did not look very good. There were cuts all over her back, her skin was discolored, and her mane and tail were covered in ice.

"Aunt Twilight, give me a sign.", Flurry yelled over the wind after rolling Twilight on her back.

Twilight's eyes fluttered open slightly and she saw who was yelling. She had double vision, but she recognized the voice.

"Flurry Heart, is that you?", she asked hoarsely.

"Yes, it's me. Hang on."

Flurry ran back to her speeder and pulled out a medical sled. After picking Twilight up with her magic, Flurry carefully placed her aunt on the gurney and slid her into the medical compartment on the speeder. After strapping in and starting the engines, Flurry radioed Brandon and Colin as she turned around.

"Eclipse, this is Flurry Heart. Get the healing tank ready. I've got her. I repeat, I've got her."

Brandon and Colin started hooking the hose to the tank and prepared a set of electrodes to monitor Twilight's vitals. Once they had warmed her up enough to attach the electrodes, Colin propped Twilight's mouth open and inserted a breathing receptor while Brandon put a nose clip on her. Once Twilight was in the tank, Flurry opened the valves and the tank began filling with a glowing blue liquid. The Christian Fleet had developed a healing energy that they called Genesis, and this energy could be condensed into liquid and pumped into tanks for healing someone with severe injuries.

As Colin flew his ship back to Canterlot, Flurry noticed the cuts on Twilight's back beginning to close up and heal. Her vital signs started becoming steady as her body temperature returned to normal and her frostbite healed up. In only 15 minutes, Twilight's vital signs were normal again and her injuries were completely healed. Once she had been given a blood transfusion, she was ready to be removed from the tank. Flurry drained the fluid and Twilight took the breathing tube out of her mouth and then took the nose clip off. She climbed out of the tank and was ready to tell Cadence what had happened when Sombra captured her.
