Sometime after speaking to the World Serpent, and Thrud taking up Mjolnir since her brother felt like it would disrespect Magni's memory if he took it, Flurry and her family prepared for one last series of battles before they focused on what the future held in store for them, and that meant using the handle on the gravestones. Kratos determined that now was the time for them to deal with something from Mimir's past, because he had told them about the beings that he was sure were sealed in each of the gravestones, who he thought would remain in this state for the rest of their existence. Thanks to one of the Fates handing them the key to fighting the beings in question, back when she was checking Flurry out with her own eyes, and Ragnarok no longer hanging over their heads, Kratos figured that now was the best time, before they focused on trying to help Flurry find her way back to her home world. Mimir also informed them that there were twelve Berserkers that had to be taken down, their souls sealed inside Skofnung's hilt, and once those twelve were down they could focus on King Hrolf Kraki.

As it turned out the first one on their list happened to be the one they had passed by after forging their new weapons, but it was just the first gravestone they remembered seeing, to which Flurry, Pandora, Atreus, and Freya stood behind Kratos as he slipped the hilt into the slot that was on the stonework.

What they discovered was that the Berserkers had a dark green, almost jade, coloration to their bodies, where they could see the figure's bones under his new body, while at the same time he wore armor that seemed modified from his original set when he was alive, and carried a greatsword into battle. This was Hardrefill the Callous, whose skill was precise and that he was known for his cruelty, as he would slowly dismember his foes, instead of granting them a swift death, which was why Kratos and Flurry viewed him as utter scum since that was a vile practice. As it turned out Hardrefill was a total joke, since all five of them were able to avoid his long and slow swings, either by pulling back or just diving under the blade, and his only real power seemed to be jumping into the air so he could slam down on whatever he was targeting and release a small burst in the immediate area around him. Flurry found him to be an utter joke, a warrior who was only able to get his way thanks to fighting side by side with the other Berserkers, or his own forces, because she and her family, plus Freya, tore through each of his defenses and brought him down to one knee with a few minutes of starting the battle.

Such a thing meant that Kratos was able to use the Leviathan Axe to remove the warrior's head, causing his body to dissolve as his soul was absorbed by the hilt, and as his power faded Flurry collected his engraved executioner's greatsword, which was just an ordinary weapon now since it no longer possessed the jade glow.

"Flurry... must you collect their weapons as well?" Mimir asked, because while he knew that she was a collector of weapons and armor, if her arsenal was to be believed, he found it odd that she would want the weapons of these cursed warriors in her collection, in fact He would have preferred if she left them to rot.

"I mean, they're part of history... I can't just leave them behind. Besides, this means no one else can use them." Flurry said, to which she vanished into her bag for a moment, which just rested on the ground as everyone looked at it, and returned not a minute later, without the weapon, as she turned towards the armor and broke it down, "I made a sealed area to hold their weapons, and their armor, so no one else can use them and continue their dark legacy... the weapon might look good, but I have plenty of weapons I can actually use."

Mimir remained silent for a few moments before thanking Flurry, because it seemed like she was thinking about him and his wishes, before Atreus told them that he remembered seeing another gravestone on their way to where Odin's fake prison had been located. With that in mind the group headed back to the Door and traveled back to the area that he was thinking of, even though it did require moving through some of the cleared areas they had passed by previously, and it didn't take more than a few minutes before they located the second gravestone. This one, as it turned out, had two Berserkers inside it, those being Bodvar the Fierce, who had a pair of fist weapons, with his lover Starolfr the Troublesome, who carried two swords into battle, where it was easy to see that the former was a tank and the latter was a speed focused warrior. With that in mind it was easy for Kratos, Freya, and Pandora to focus on Bodvar, blocking and avoiding his blows as Flurry used her sickles to block Starolfr's blades, thus allowing Atreus to attack her from the sides, especially since she wasn't expecting him to rush around the area, use his claws as weapons, or even loose a bit of flames at her.

Flurry spotted a problem right away, the Berserkers weren't expecting such experienced and hardened warriors to be what they fought after being freed from their gravestones, as each of them were capable of stunning them and breaking through all of their defenses, and that meant neither of them were able to use their special skills as they took their heads.

"You know, I'm beginning to wonder if these guys are as special as you said, Mimir... they're no match for us, which is actually a little sad since I was hoping to hone my skills." Atreus commented, showing them that he was focused on the warrior side of things and less on being arrogant, in fact he knows that being arrogant can be a bad thing, something Kratos approved of since it meant his son had learned his lesson at long last.

"Maybe the False King will provide us with a challenge?" Pandora inquired, because these two had been lackluster as well, in fact she was starting to see what her brother meant in wanting to hone her skills in the face of warriors that Mimir had said would be a challenge, and at this rate she was thinking of stopping to just let Flurry wipe the floor with them.

Flurry said nothing as they tracked down the location of their next target, which was out in the area they had used the boat in, still in Svartalfheim, though when Kratos activated the gravestone they discovered that this one was Beigadr the Feared, who had a ring that allowed him to use lightning spells. That was literally all the warrior had going for him, using his power to rapidly move from one area to another before lashing out with a bolt or a group of smaller bolts, before they found that he could unleash small twisters from his hands, which were easy to avoid. In fact Flurry was able to pinpoint the exact pattern he used and was able to counter Beigadr's moves far too easily, thus allowing her father and her brother to remove their foe's head together, allowing her to collect his ring, just like the fist weapons and swords of the previous pair. It really made her sad to see that the Berserkers were so easy to bring down, to the point that Pandora decided to help them reach where all of the other gravestones, but would just watch until they found a foe that was worth fighting. With that in mind Flurry had to track down the next one through using her magic, where she found that it rested in Vanaheim and Pandora used her blue stone to warp them to where it was located.

This Berserker was different, he was Haklangr the Bearded and he carried a warhammer into battle, where they found that his power seemed to be using the elements as a barrier and forcing them to use the opposite element to bring it down, like if he used frost they needed fire and if he used fire they required frost. His warhammer was a lot like Earthshaker, because he had the power to shake and sunder the earth around them, something that caused Flurry to switch to her warhammer so she could cancel out the elemental power that their foe possessed. This, of course, appeased the others as they found that this foe was more worthy of their attention and lashed out at the Berserker, who seemed to be having fun right now, even if he happened to be losing since their powers outmatched his since Flurry was countering his main power. When she swung her weapon at his everyone else found that their warhammers collided with each other for a time before she knocked it out of her foe's hands, allowing her father to take his head so she could claim his weapon and armor, just like the warriors they had fought so far.

They found the next gravestone resting in Alfheim, in the sands that they had passed through previously, where another female Berserker, Hjalti the Stolid who carried two maces, happened to be imprisoned, who had the speed of the couple of other female members of her group. Her element seemed to be poison, just pure poison based on what they were seeing, but her movements were slow as Atreus was able to get onto the crystalline walls of the arena they were in, since they just appeared when a battle started and faded away once the battle was over, and run along them before jumping and spinning around so the base of his tail knocked Hjalti to the ground. Kratos continued to use the Draupnir Spear against their foes, as it felt good to remember his days as a Spartan, allowing him to unleash new moves on their foe, which were old moves that he had learned in the past, but in the end this seemed to be her downfall as he took her head off. He was beginning to see why his children were so disappointed in these enemies, because while their powers were great they seemed to lack the focus to wield their powers properly, thus allowing them to wipe out the Berserkers like they were novices.

As it turned out there was another one in Alfheim that Flurry used a barrier to keep them safe, where they discovered that this one had three targets to take out: the first being Hromundr the Cruel and Vottr the Prideful, sisters called the 'Sisters of Illska' who wielded rings of ice and fire respectively, while the third was another female, Svipdagr the Cold, who carried two axes into battle.

This time around it was more interesting since both Flurry and Pandora had to deal with the Sisters of Illska, using their own powers to cancel out the incoming elemental attacks that were coming their way, literally turning the area into an elemental battlefield with just the four of them slinging spells at each other. Fire and ice clashed with lightning and earth, as Flurry let her sister carry Earthshaker into battle for once, and their area buckled and shifted under the magical energies being thrown around, but in the end the sisters were able to take the heads of their foes with ease, allowing Flurry to claim their rings as her trophies. While that happened her father, Atreus, and Freya turned their own elemental powers on Svipdagr, because they found that she had a massive weakness to fire, which might be why she traveled with two mages, so Freya and Atreus just littered the area with runes, trapping her in them. In the next instant Kratos set fire to some as Atreus loosed a burst of flames at her, literally dousing her area in flames and explosions, preventing her from escaping, and when the smoke was pushed away, by Atreus fanning his wings, Kratos took the Berserker's head so the hilt could absorb three more souls, while Flurry added more to her vast collection.

Following that the sisters brought them to a gravestone they had spotted during their hunt in Midgard, in an area where the ice was still solid, and the Berserker this time was Fraekni the Zealous, who carried a battleaxe into battle and welcomed the challenge of fighting five people at once, and the only thing he had was speed, so they brought him down with ease.

The next one in the series was known as Hvitserkr the Bold, whose gravestone they found in another portion of Vanaheim, whose powers involved seidr magic and necromancy, summoning the dead to fight for him, and while he didn't have a blade or weapon Flurry could see that his power came from his ring. This time around Freya dominated the fight, her magic lashing out at the Berserker as she littered the field with magical runes and detonated them on her foe, showing him that her power was stronger than his seidr magic, especially when she used both of her swords and unleashed a cross slash. It was pretty clear that Freya, the True Valkyrie Queen, was far stronger than the Berserker was and that meant there was no reason for Kratos or the others to get involved this time around, effectively allowing her to vent some of her frustrations out on her foe before taking his head with her blades. This just confirmed that the Berserkers weren't the warriors they had been made out to be, meaning Mimir's anger towards them might have clouded his judgement, which was fair since Kratos remembered doing such a thing in his early days, before meeting Flurry.

Once they were done with that foe they traveled to Niflheim and found that the gravestone Pandora brought them to was where Skjothendi the Unerring, another female Berserker, was imprisoned, who again didn't have a weapon, instead she had a ring that allowed her to control the Bifrost, like an element, but since her powers were basically that of an Einherjar it took them no time to cut her down and add her stuff to the collection.

After that, the twelfth and final Berserker, the group returned to Midgard and found that a new gravestone was location far from the first one they had found, one that had to be Hrolf's gravestone, to which Kratos slipped the hilt into the slot and let the stone break, allowing them to see a taller figure with more elegant armor. Hrolf came equipped with a number of tools to fight his foes, a single axe, a pair of axes, a warhammer, a pair of maces, and a phantom sword that was Skofnung, and it was clear that he could wield the powers of all of the Berserkers they had slain, because when he used the warhammer they found that it broke the earth around them. The only difference this time around was that he seemed to know how to use all of his powers, far more than his followers had done when they fought them previously, but he, too, seemed to have no real skill in fighting multiple enemies like this, since all five of them could be a main target and he had to determine who was the one that was the most deserving of his attention. As the battle progressed, however, Flurry noticed that Hrolf, while skilled at using all of his weapons and powers, didn't have a single one that was better than the others, he had spread his talents too thin and didn't master a single thing in his arsenal, and the battle came to a swift end as Kratos took the phantom Skofnung and stabbed Hrolf's chest, before taking his head with his own weapon.

"There, the Berserkers and their False King are dead." Kratos stated, though at the same time Flurry and the others watched as Skofnung reformed before their eyes, this time possessing the souls of the thirteen beings they had just slain, to which he held the blade out and presented it to his daughter, since Flurry seemed like the perfect one to carry it, and as she accepted it he continued his statement, "Just like the Blade of Olympus, whose legacy has been rewritten by the good it has caused, so, too, shall we rewrite the legacy of Skofnung."

"Everyone... thank you for taking down Hrolf and his foul Berserkers." Mimir said, and he meant it, though at the same time, while he wanted nothing to do with the reforged Skofnung and the memories it brought with it, he knew it was in the best of hands, because he trusted all of them and agreed that Flurry was the best one to carry it.

Flurry nodded as she and the others looked forward to what the future held for them next, because it seemed like things were coming to a close, making her wonder if it was time to track down her home world and see what she could learn from her old life, which only made her all the more interested in what might happen in the near future.
