Equus: Death and Magic Collide

Flurry found that her aunt brought them to what appeared to be another world entirely, one different from Equus and the world she had spent her new life in, which seemed to be peaceful and didn't seem to have any creatures for them to worry about, teleporting them there by a magical portal she had opened.

"This is the world that we'll be fighting on... normally we would use Pinkamena's inner world, since she can contain all of the damage, but she's busy right now." Twilight stated, though at the same time she and Flurry stepped forward as Goku and Vegeta had Kratos' group join them on a floating platform, which seemed to be designed to keep them out of range while also giving them a good view of the area the pair would be fighting in, while her staff floated nearby, "Don't worry, I have built and enchanted this world to be able to withstand my full power, which is quite the feat when you think about it, so you don't have to worry about us breaking it. I've also enchanted the platform that everyone else is on with a barrier spell that will keep them safe from harm, so you don't have to worry about them getting caught in the crossfire... you may begin with whatever you are comfortable with."

"Basically meaning I can start with my fists, my weapons, or my magic." Flurry remarked, which told her that her aunt was definitely a warrior, the way she stood and the way she carried herself were clear signs that she had experience and that her more relaxed stance was her way of fighting, no doubt designed to lure opponents into a false sense of security, which was when she signed as she focused on her aunt, "Very well, here I come."

For a few seconds nothing happened, both warriors studying the other as they waited for the first move to be made, and it was Flurry who made the first move as she rushed through the air and swung her fist at Twilight's face, where she found that her aunt pulled herself back as she caught the fist with her bare hand. In the next instant she understood why Twilight had brought them here, because while she was keeping most of her power contained Flurry found that the ground collapsed, as a small crater formed around them, which also told her that her aunt was stronger than she had assumed. Flurry turned her fist into a hand and grabbed onto her aunt's before moving her off to the side, while at the same time her left leg came in as a kick that should hit Twilight in the side of the head, to send her flying into the rocky hills that were around them. In the next instant her aunt raised her left hand and caught the side of Flurry's leg before it could make contact with the side of her head, though in the following seconds she thrust both Flurry's leg and fist away from her before punching her in the chest, sending her flying into one of the rock hills.

That caused the stone to collapse on top of her, where she simply laid there for a moment as she considered what sort of move she could make against her aunt, before emerging from the rubble as she moved back into battle, this time moving her body into a series of punches and blows that were designed to weaken her foe so she could best her. What came as a surprise to her was that her aunt seemed to know the movements in question and copied them, stance for stance and blow for blow, as when Flurry swung her fist so did Twilight, when she kicked so did her aunt, and when she backed off so did her foe. It was almost as if they were dancers that were using the same moves, the same techniques, where Flurry understood that this either meant that this series of moves was more well known than she had assumed and more people knew it, or her aunt had used her time based powers, which she mentioned thanks to one of her titles, and had seen her moves before she had even decided what she was going to do. Flurry immediately ruled out Twilight peering into the future to see what sort of moves she would make, as her aunt seemed genuinely interested in what sort of skills and powers she had, so taking a peek seemed like something she wouldn't do, not with her earlier comments.

As their fists collided with each others again, shattering the area and the rocky hill that was nearby, she came to understand that her aunt was quite strong and knew many of the movements that one could make when punching and kicking at their foes, but that didn't stop her from trying to bring her down.

In the next instant she dropped down and kicked Twilight into the air, as she decided to do something different and deviate from what her aunt might be expecting from her, and found that her aunt was smiling, she approved of this since it meant she was capable of adapting and changing her plan on the fly. She also found that her aunt was capable of floating there, as if she was using magic or some sort of spell that wasn't even draining her mana, to which she flared her wings and moved into the air as well, where they clashed once more, the wind kicking up as their fists made contact. The air itself vibrated as the pair clashed, their energies colliding with each other, and she found that her aunt's power still allowed her to direct her movements, often making sure that the destructive collisions were kept to the minimum, while displaying just how skilled she actually was. At the same time Flurry found herself smiling, as this was an opponent that could keep up with her, a foe that didn't go down in a few seconds after the battle started, and it rekindled the warrior spirit inside her, because this told her that she could actually enjoy this fight and not be worried about it ending too soon.

Twilight, on the other hand, slipped through Flurry's defenses and kicked her in the chest, sending her flying down towards the ground, though as that happened she noticed something interesting as her niece drew something out of her bag, which seemed to be a storage area with a vast space inside it.

"Aunt Twilight, allow me to thank you for making this interesting... but now it is time that I got serious." Flurry stated, where she swung the Frigid Twinblade for a moment as she faced her aunt, who seemed to draw a weapon of her own, a black katana by the looks of it, while also calling her staff over, showing Flurry that she was willing to do the same.

Flurry smiled for a moment as she spun the weapon around and released a torrent of freezing magic at her aunt, because she had figured out an interesting fact, that being the fact that she could actually use the elements of her weapons in a way that was far beyond what their original wielders could command.

"Wait, when could she do that?" Atreus asked, as the ground and the area in front of his sister froze over in the span of a few seconds, using a power he had never seen during their adventures, which meant there was far more to his sister's powers and skills than what he and his family had seen in the past.

"I'm betting she could always do this, but didn't to help you learn how to fend for yourself." Tyr replied, where Kratos and Pandora nodded their agreement, it was the most reasonable idea right now, though at the same time they found that Twilight jumped into the air and released a volley of shadow bolts down at Flurry.

Sure enough Flurry switched to her bow, releasing a volley of her arrows into the air and each magical arrow slammed into the bolts, blowing up in the middle of the air, before Flurry loosed another one that rushed through the smoke cloud and missed her aunt's shoulder, which was her plan all along. In the next instant Flurry used her magic and switched places with the last arrow, appearing above Twilight as she switched to the Nemean Cestus, letting the power of the beast it was made from to flow into her attack as her aunt turned to face the attack. Her attack collided with her foe's chest and Flurry sent her aunt down towards the ground, the collision of her hooves around the ground breaking everything in the immediate area, at least five trees in each direction by Kratos' reckoning, yet he was amazed that she had tanked the attack so well. Following that attack Flurry dropped out of the air with Earthshaker in her hands, where this time the collision with the warhammer's head against the ground caused the stone and earth below their hooves shattered, though Flurry sent the fragments at her aunt without delay.

In the next few moments Twilight released a few bursts of magic into the air and detonated the various fragments that were coming at her, though at the same time she and Flurry stopped for a couple of seconds, where it looked like they were fully enjoying themselves right now and one might show off their full power at long last.

"I have to admit, your arsenal is impressive... even if you haven't used the strongest ones yet. However, allow me to show you the beginnings of my power." Twilight stated, where she let her weapons float to the side for a moment as she shifted her stance, bringing both of her hands to the right side of her body as she did so, which was when Flurry found that energy was building between the palms of her hands, forming a sphere of energy, "Ka... me... ha... me..."

Flurry, sensing that taking this attack would be dangerous, switched to her sickles and formed the sickle staff, spinning the weapon around as her aunt called out 'haaa' and fired a beam of energy right at her, where it collided with the sickle staff and pushed her back, the force stronger than what she had thought it would be. This told her so much in a short period of time, such as the fact that her aunt was clearly holding back, there was no doubt about it, because she was sure that a full powered version of this attack would have wiped her out before she had a chance to do anything. The power that moved by her, however, tore apart the area that was around where she was standing, leaving a cone scar behind her, while anything that was directly behind her was just utterly destroyed, showing her just how powerful her aunt really was. A few moments later the attack ended and Flurry huffed as she stopped spinning her sickle staff around, allowing her to survey the sheer destruction that was caused from her aunt's power, while splitting the weapon back into her main sickles.

She understood one thing from this encounter, her current power wouldn't be enough to bring her aunt down, especially since she had no idea how much power Twilight was hiding from her, to which she spun her sickles and let the heads collide for a moment as she faced her aunt.

"I get it, I can't beat you with my current level of power." Flurry said, though at the same time she had to wonder if her aunt would freak out when she discovered what her true power was, what she was the goddess of, but decided that she would cross that bridge once this battle was over, causing her to sigh as she undid the seals on her true power, "So allow me to show you my true power."

Kratos and the others watched as Flurry was surrounded by a pillar of death magic, the sign that she was transforming into her true form, but when she emerged in her Goddess of Death attire, and swung her scythe to disperse the energy, he and the rest of the group found that Twilight wasn't even fazed by this discovery.

"So that's what you were... the Goddess of Death. Fascinating." Twilight replied, because she had been curious as to why her niece wouldn't say anything about herself when she introduced everyone in her group, as it was hard to imagine Flurry as anything other than a goddess, and now she knew the truth, "Very well, let's do this."

The darkness enveloped Twilight as her weapons faded away, where Flurry found that her aunt emerged in a black set of armor with a golden trim, looking more like a queen's gown now, her feathered wings and horn had returned, though she also had a pair of ram horns as well now, she had black bracers on her wrists and shins, and had a dark blue sash.

"This is my third transformation, that of the Dark Queen, a form that is above my Dark Form and Demon Goddess form," Twilight stated, because this was far more reasonable for someone of Flurry's power, as she could see that her niece had drawn out her full power, or the limits of what she was capable of, to which she held her hand out and beckoned for Flurry to come at her.

Flurry rushed forward and found that her aunt moved into the air, causing her to follow after her as she noticed something interesting, her transformation allowed her to tuck her wings and horn away, while Twilight's allowed her to manifest her own horn and wings as if it was nothing, and even more horns for some reason. The other interesting thing, which was also shocking when she thought about it, was that her scythe didn't see to frighten her aunt much, in fact Twilight seemed to use the backs of her fingers to stop the weapon before it even had a chance to hurt her. It was almost like her aunt wasn't afraid of death at all, which was a surprise when Flurry considered everyone else she had fought in the past, which was both odd and interesting to think about, but for the time being she focused on attacking her foe, while at the same time thinking of a plan that might allow her to turn the tables on her aunt. She then considered all of her weapons for a moment as she and her aunt flashed around the sky, their energies colliding and causing the world around them to break and shatter, despite them being above the ground, but it just told her that Twilight was far stronger than she had assumed.

In the end she picked her weapons carefully, debating which ones to use and which powers would be beneficial to her, and two came to mind when she made her final decision, neither of them the scythe that was in her hand, though she did have to wait for the perfect opportunity to wield her chosen weapons against her aunt.

When Twilight loosed a sphere of darkness at her, however, Flurry saw an opening and swung her scythe at it, releasing a bit of her energy in the form of a wave of power that stuck the incoming attack and cancelled it out, creating a cloud of smoke in the process, allowing her to put away her scythe. As the smoke cleared she pulled out the Blade of Olympus and Seimei no Maho, where her aunt raised an eyebrow as she noticed the weapons that were in her hands, the former in her right and the latter in her left, causing her to rush through the air as she zeroed in on her aunt. As she swung her weapons it was hard to tell if Twilight was dodging because she didn't want to get hit or if she was toying with her, though this was fine since it did look like her aunt was letting her make the next move in this dance of theirs, something that could end in disaster for her since she had no idea what sort of power these weapons had. There was also the benefit her katana gave her, the fact that she was able to call upon her true magic, a limit she could likely reach if she trained herself to tap into her full potential, and Flurry was sure that Twilight would likely be able to help her at some point in the future.

At one point she sensed an opening and kicked Twilight in the stomach, sending her down into the ground, though this time around Flurry didn't follow her as she stood on the air, swinging the katana in front of her to form a horizontal line of energy, her magic mixed with a golden sheen. In the following moment she swung the Blade of Olympus downward, creating a new vertical line on top of the first one, creating a cross of energy that morphed into a massive form and rushed down towards the area that her aunt was resting in. It was a torrent of magical energy, one that would likely blast a massive crater into the world that was below them, something that made her wonder if she might have overdone this attack, and she found that her aunt put up a barrier between them to stop the attack in it's tracks. The barrier shattered as the attack collided with it, which just showed that it was definitely stronger than she had assumed, though in the following moment she noticed a vortex of dark energy appear below where the barrier was located and the attack detonated as it neared her aunt.

As the smoke cleared Flurry found that a large area, at least twice the size of Tyr's massive temple, had been wiped out due to the attack, though her aunt was standing there without any harm on her body, causing Flurry to realize something as she landed in front of Twilight.

"You... you're immortal, aren't you?" Flurry asked, because something had been bothering her about her aunt since they had started their fight, she had the strangest reaction to her power, and when she realized that her aunt wasn't taking any sort of damage, even from attacks that had struck her, it allowed her to realize something.

"Correct. You know, you are the first person to figure that out... and your power is impressive." Twilight remarked, where she looked at her niece for a moment and felt the power that was coursing through her body, and the weapon that allowed her to focus her full power was actually quite amazing, though since it was clear that Flurry was stopping the fight, indicated by reverting to her base form, Twilight did the same, "And just so you know, your full power is equal to a fourth of mine... but I can help you fully master your power."

Flurry chuckled, as she figured that Twilight was stronger than her, she just screamed someone that was holding back her true power, and this just confirmed her thoughts on the matter, to which she put her weapons away as she and her aunt started to walk back to the others, all while interested in what the future might throw their way next.
