The Rift Between Dimensions

Twilight couldn't quite describe the sensation she was feeling right now.

It was far different from the feeling she got from using the Elements of Harmony, in fact it felt even more powerful than that. Not only did it change her physical appearance, but it also changed both the way her magic and strength felt. She felt like she had the magic of an alicorn, and the strength of Big McIntosh, and the speed that would even give Rainbow Dash a run for her bits.

In fact she felt like she could surpass her in speed alone.

Was this the true power of the Chaos Emeralds?

If so, no wonder everyone on Sonic's world wanted them for themselves.

She glanced over to her left to see her fellow Guardians flying alongside her, with Sonic leading them all ahead towards their shared threat. Dr. Eggman and The Forge of all Creation. She had to give the human credit, he was persistent and unrelenting in his mission for total domination.

But that didn't mean that he would win though.

"Remember," Sonic started, beginning to inform them of the effects of the Chaos Emeralds. "We're basically invulnerable now, but because Egghead has the literal heart of all existence powering his bot, I don't know if that's gonna be able to damage us or not. So be careful and be mindful not to use too much energy."

"What happens if we do?" Twilight couldn't help but ask.

"The Emeralds' power will wear off and they'll leave your body." Sonic answered casually, used to this sort of pressure. "Just try to show restraint, and that's a lot coming from me."

With that said they all flew up ahead as The Forge came into their line of sight, flying up ahead, before it turned around to face them.

"You just don't know when to stay dead, do you!" Eggman growled, slamming his fist on the center console.

"C'mon! You'd really think we'd skip out on the final boss?" Mario questioned with a laugh. "Just give it up already, you're outnumbered five to one."

Eggman laughed, "You'd like that, wouldn't you?" The mech clenched its fist as he continued, "I have the source of all living things powering my machine! I have reality itself on my side! How can you possibly hope to stop me?"

"Simple." Sonic said as he glanced at Twilight. The two nodded before answering, "Together."

And together they fought, flying towards The Forge as it fired a blue laser beam from its left hand, initiating the final battle for the entire Multiverse. The group split apart in multiple directions, avoiding the laser and continuing their flight path towards The Forge of all Creation. But before any of them could get a hit on it, The Forge teleported away from them and appeared at the end of the Rift, Eggman's taunting laughter reaching their ears as the Foundation of all Dimensions began to charge.

"LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS ONE!" Eggman declared as The Forge fired a massive blast from the Foundation it self.

Thinking quickly, Batman spread out his cape and from out of nowhere, a giant, yellow bat-like shadow, appeared in front of the Guardians and blocked the laser. Once the attack ceased the shadow disappeared and the Guardians continued forward.

But that was before they noticed the devastation that attack caused on the Rift itself. Noticeable tears appeared inside the tunnel, tears that lead to other universes. Inside the tears utter chaos could be seen as apocalyptic events took place in those various worlds.

Twilight, deciding to take action, began to tell her friends what to do. "Guys, we need to seal up these distortions! If they get too large who knows what could happen to those universes!"

"What about Robotnik?" Tony asked.

"We'll have to take him on one at a time!" Batman informed the group. "The rest of us will seal those distortions!"

"I call dibs!" Mario called out with a smirk, flying ahead to take Eggman head on while the other Guardians began to use the power of Chaos Control to get the distortions under control.

"OH HO HO HO HO HO!" Eggman chortled as The Forge let out a mechanical roar, creating a shockwave from the Foundation. "So you're the first one to throw his life away, eh? You should feel honored to burn at the precipice of my Eggman Empire!"

"The only thing we're on the precipice of is me kicking your butt!" Shouted Mario, adjusting his cap with a flick of his finger. "Now stop yapping and let's-a-go!"

"GET A LOAD OF THIS!"

The Forge launched its right fist at the super formed plumber, flying through the Rift to crush the Italian to smithereens. But Mario beamed with a smile as he flew forward and threw his cap, the headwear twirling through the air before meeting the mech's fist head on.

The collision created a shockwave of both yellow and blue throughout the tunnel between worlds, with Mario's cap blowing back into his hands while the rocket fist hurdled back to The Forge. With its hand reconnected, The Forge lit up its eye before firing an Ocular Blast directly at Mario.

The plumber flew forward and dived under the laser, continuing to push forward. He moved to the left, avoiding another laser, before shooting upwards to avoid another, until finally, he was close enough to deliver a punch to The Forge's head.

The blow sent the mech flying backward, not doing too much damage, but still damaging it nonetheless.

"You filthy little..." Eggman grumbled before making The Forge fly backwards even further, wanting to gain a bit of distance between himself and Mario. "You've got a lot of spunk, Mario. You remind me of Sonic. And I hate things that remind me of that pest!"

The mech's fists disconnected once more and flew over to hover on both sides of Mario. The plumber watched as they spun around a few times before coming together to crush him like a bug. But Mario placed his arms outward and held the projectiles in place with his strength.

Mario knew that he couldn't hold them forever, and it looked like Eggman was gearing up for a surprise attack. But then his thoughts went back to Sonic, who had informed them that the Chaos Emeralds gave them special abilities. An idea came to mind. He gave Robotnik a coy smirk before shouting, "CHAOS BLITZ!!!"

In a blink and you'll miss it moment, Mario blitzed from where he was standing, the hands coming together finally, and he soared through the tunnel before striking The Forge with a flurry of kicks and punches before back handing the mech further down the tunnel.

Mario then snapped his fingers and summoned multiple golden colored winged shells. He smirked before punting them down across the Rift to attack the Forge of all Creation. The projectiles each hit the mech, generating enough explosive power to send the robot flying back.

Eggman screamed as his greatest creation flipped through the Rift. "YOU RETCH!!! HOW DARE YOU!!!" Seeing that Mario was coming at him again, he activated the Foundation of all Dimensions and created a shockwave that sent the plumber flying back.

As Mario pulled back, Iron Man flew forward, deeming it his turn to take on the man with the master plan.

"Tony Stark, supposed genius from Earth 616." Eggman recited, having done his research on each of the Guardians. "How does it feel to face someone who has not only outdone you, but also outsmarted you?"

Surprisingly Iron Man shrugged, "Dunno, haven't experienced that yet."

"You smug and cocky..." Eggman trailed off as the Forge of all Creation pounded its fists together. "You'll regret this blatant disrespect!" Suddenly multiple portals appeared throughout the tunnel leading to The Forge, each of them crackling with blue energy. "Time to learn your place, Iron Man!"

Taking that as his moment to attack, Iron Man zoomed forward at impossible speeds, his sights set on The Forge. An indicator on his HUD caught his attention and, just in time, he noticed that each portal fired a blue energy blast, acting as obstacles in his path toward Eggman.

Navigating through the beams of light, he failed to notice the massive fist headed straight for him, resulting in him getting sent back through the tunnel. Shaking off the pain and continuing forward, Iron Man aimed his wrist forward, once his gauntlet lifted up a secret missile launcher, and fired a golden rocket at The Forge.

But it was no ordinary rocket as it suddenly duplicated itself into five and boosted forward.

As the rockets distracted Eggman, Tony dashed forward, narrowly avoiding all the beams of light, and made his way toward the robot's core. But much to his chagrin the rockets didn't hold off Eggman for long as he saw him coming from a mile away.

"GOTCHA!" He shouted as he went to grab Iron Man, and he thought that he had too. But when he opened the mech's palm, nobody was there. "What?"

"Up here!"

When Eggman looked up he saw Iron Man aiming a Chaos Proton Cannon right at him.

"HERE'S THE BIG ONE!" Tony shouted as the cannon began to charge with power. "CHAOS PROTON CANNON!!!" The resulting blast sent The Forge zooming back inside the Rift.

With its arms raised in an 'X' formation, it managed to block off most of the attack, but not all of it as some minor damage was dealt to the machine. But it seemed that Iron Man wasn't done as he charged up his Arc Reactor, now powered up with Chaos Energy, and prepared to fire.

But Eggman saw this coming and created a portal to his left and disappeared as the beam soared through the tunnel. To add to Tony's confusion, two portals appeared at the end of the tunnel and two Forge's flew out of them.

"You know what they say: the more the merrier!" Eggman announced before sending the duplicate robot forward, its form covered in blue electricity.

Thinking on his feet, Iron Man raised his arms and a blue, triangle shaped, crystal shield appeared around him, protecting him from the duplicate's explosion. Once the blue dust settled he lowered the shield and zoomed forward, but was halted when he was covered in a blue aura out of nowhere.

And The Forge's right hand was covered in that exact same aura.

"OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Eggman demanded as he flicked the mech's wrist, sending Tony spiraling back down the Rift.

And in his place, Batman soared through the Rift, his golden cape flapping along with him.

"It's over, Robotnik!" Batman declared, glaring at the robot before him. "Stand down before I make you!"

"The Dark Knight himself," Eggman recognized. "You seem confident in your abilities." His smile turned sinister. "So am I."

The Forge then summoned two astral projections of itself, each of them flying beside it and taking aim at The Batman. At this point three laser blasts are hurdling towards Batman, but he simply smirks and flies forward. He spread out his cape and threw three, golden, flaming Batarangs forward.

The projectiles tore through the lasers and struck each robot simultaneously with procession, causing the projections to disappear and The Forge to be sent flying back further into the Rift. Eggman growled angrily as he used the Foundation of all Dimensions to create ten blue, flaming spears that shot up from behind the robot and honed in on the Bat of Gotham.

Batman shrouded himself with his cape before disappearing in a swirl of golden light, only reappearing once the spears had passed him. He darted forward to The Forge and glide kicked it back further, his added strength causing more damage to it.

As he recovered, Eggman said, "No wonder Joker thought you were annoying." He chuckled as The Forge spread out its hands. "But let's see you dodge this one, Caped Crusader!" To his left and right were two astral buzz saws, summoned into existence.

The buzzsaws shot forward at maximum speed, blue fiery sparks shooting off of them as they made their way to Batman. The Dark Knight spread out his cape and teleported away in a swarm of golden bats, with the swarm spreading out to dodge the saws before reforming back into his normal form.

Eggman growled as he fired a laser from the mech's left hand, an attack that was easily evaded with a barrel roll to the right and a boost in momentum, propelling forward at impossible speeds before spreading out his cape. "CHAOS SWARM!" Batman shouted as an army of bats flew out of his cape and flew towards The Forge of all Creation.

As the mech was engulfed in a golden tornado of bats, the super formed hero threw five golden Batarangs at the distracted villain, who was trying to blast his way out of the tornado. But he failed to do so, resulting in him being blasted back by the projectiles while Batman flew around him, using his enhanced speed to hit the mech from different angles.

But before he could do anymore damage he was sent flying back by a pulse of power, originating from the Foundation of all Dimensions.

As Batman used his cape to stop himself, Twilight Sparkle flew forward with her horn glowing with red magic.

Eggman wasn't threatened in the slightest. "Well look who it is! The prissy, wittle, unicorn who finally decided to stop feeling sorry for herself. Why don't you do us all a favor and stand underneath a collapsing bookshelf and save me the trouble."

"I'm here to stop you, Eggman!" Twilight declared, ignoring the doctor's snide comments. "Together with my friends we will put an end to your plans once and for all!"

"Y-Y-You?" Eggman asked with a laugh. "Oh wow, okay, what are you gonna do? Friendship me to death?"

All he got in response was a smug smirk from the Student of Celestia before she shot forward and fired a red laser from her horn. The Forge raised its hand to block the attack but found that it was suddenly wrapped in red chains once the laser made contact.

"What!" Eggman couldn't fire any of his weapons, it was as if the chains were nullifying The Forge itself.

"You were saying?" Twilight couldn't help but say as she shot forward, her forelegs held forward as she flew.

Robotnik growled in anger as he slammed his fist onto a red button and suddenly, the Foundation begins to hum as seven spectral tendrils shot forward from the orb, headed straight for Twilight. Her eyes widened in alarm before she lit up her horn and teleported to the left, before teleporting again.

She continued to teleport and dodge the tendrils as she made her way to the fleeing mech.

Seeing as that strategy wasn't working Eggman channeled the power of the Foundation and out of nowhere, the chains around the mech's hand shattered before it was launched forward to intercept the unicorn. But Twilight saw this coming and lit up her horn, engulfing the disconnected limb in a red aura as she spun herself around, dragging the rocket fist along with her, before turning back around and launching it directly into The Forge of all Creation, damaging it severely.

The hit was so bad that Eggman fell out of his mechanical throne and landed on top of Cubot. "W-What?! Impossible!" He quickly got back on his seat and began assessing the damage. Suffice to say that he wasn't happy. "NO WAY! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!"

In response to this attack, The Forge of all Creation raised its arms and summoned five flaming, blue, meteors above its head. Without hesitation it shot its arms forward, sending down the meteors to crush the leader of the Guardians.

She had to time this right!

She zoomed up and galloped on top of the first meteor, running across it before jumping to the next one, and the next, and the next, and so on and so forth. She then pushed herself forward and lit up her horn, channeling both Harmony magic and Chaos Energy into this blast.

The ensuing laser blast was so large that it completely engulfed the robot, but had it not been for the shield that surrounded it, it surely would've done a significant amount of damage. The Forge raised its arms as the beam completely covered it, the shield working overtime as it was sent flying back, still inside the beam.

Once the attack ceased, Eggman fired his own laser at the mare, but she had raised her own shield to protect herself from the blast. She gritted her teeth and glared down at Eggman before teleporting away, reappearing in front of the mech and delivering a powerful buck with her hindlegs.

The kick sent The Forge of all Creation flying down the tunnel between worlds, small tiny hoof-like indents could be seen on the mech.

Twilight Sparkle boosted forward to try and attack again, but was sent spiraling backwards by a pulse from The Forge.

Sonic smirked as he flew forward towards his arch nemesis, his golden aura increasing significantly. "Hey Egghead, did ya miss me?"

Eggman, in fact, did not. "YOU! YOU! ALWAYS YOU! ALWAYS THERE! ALWAYS IN MY WAY!"

"Aw, is the big, bad, Dr. Eggman cranky?" Sonic asked with a laugh, enjoying the heck out of taunting his enemy.

"I have the power to control all dimensions, and you're here, again. I have a mech that overpowers you in every aspect, and you're here, again! I'M FINALLY ABOUT TO WIN, AND YOU'RE HERE, AGAIN! AND YOU SOMEHOW ALWAYS COME OUT ON TOP! HOW?! HOW DO YOU ALWAYS WIN?!"

"I believe it's called a skill issue."

That had set him off.

Eggman launched everything. Rockets, lasers, buzzsaws, tendrils, meteors, all of it. All of it sent out to try and kill the hedgehog who had thwarted his plans a thousand times over. The hedgehog laughs excitedly as he avoids all of it. He swerves up and down, left and right, teleports in and out of reality and manages to get close enough to The Forge to inflict some damage.

He curls into a ball and hits its chest with a Homing Attack, which sent the robot spiraling down the vortex, small sparks of electricity could be seen crackling around it, showing that it indeed had taken some damage. The Forge recovered and created a tear in the vortex above it. Then from within the tear tiny, flaming blue, dragon headed shaped projectiles shot down from above.

Super Sonic moved in a zig zag formation and managed to avoid most of the projectiles, and even though he was struck by some of them, he still made it close enough to Eggman to deliver a nasty kick to his creation. As The Forge spun around in circles, Sonic curled up and charged before zooming forward, hitting the mech in multiple places at once, damaging it severely.

Before it could recover, Sonic swiped his hand over his face, holding up his thumb, middle finger, and index finger, the resulting explosion of pure light blinded Eggman momentarily. This gave the hedgehog the opportunity to strike, as he zoomed forward and in the blink of an eye, blitzed around The Forge of all Creation, striking it from every possible angle with precision and accuracy.

As the robot flew backwards, Sonic suddenly appeared in front of the glass covering Eggman, leaning to his left with his arms crossed. He raised an eyebrow before roundhouse kicking The Forge's head, which sent it further down the tunnel, and chased in hot pursuit.

"HATE YOU, HATE YOU, HATE YOU! ALL OF MY HATE! DIE! DIE! DIE!" Robotnik roared as he used the power of the Foundation to summon a collapsing star in the mech's hands. He then threw it down towards the approaching hedgehog, hoping that it would be enough to slaughter the nuisance for good.

But to his outrage, Super Sonic stopped and simply backhanded the supernova away before resuming his course toward him.

"CHAOS CONTROL!" Shouted Sonic before time stopped. He grinned before making his move, which involved laying into the mech without restraint. Flying around it, Sonic Spin Dashed the mech from every possible angle before returning to where he started. He snapped his fingers and time resumed, and The Forge of all Creation was badly damaged.

As it flew backwards, all five Guardians came together, flying alongside one another, in harmony and friendship, in magic and comradery, in the name of everything that ever lived.

"Looks like your bot is a little worse for wear!" Iron Man taunted, smirking under his helmet. "Still think you're smarter than me?"

He wasn't wrong as The Forge had strands of blue energy seeping from out of it, fires burning its armor, things were not looking good for Dr. Eggman.

"It's over, Eggman!" Sonic declared.

"Surrender now and end this madness!" Added Twilight, hoping that the doctor could see that he was beaten.

But Eggman was anything but a quitter. "Grrrr! I'm not finished yet!" The end of the tunnel opened up suddenly, revealing Foundation Prime and the army of united heroes that were gathered in the wastes of the dead world. Eggman and The Forge fell into Foundation Prime.

And the Guardians were right behind him.

The Forge of all Creation fell through the portal and crashed down a few miles away from the army, kicking up sand where it landed on its back. And from up above, flying through the portal, were the Guardians of the Multiverse, who soared across the sky as the portal closed.

Twilight and the others landed on the ground softly, resting on top of a sandy hill, staring down at where Eggman had landed.

"Guys!" Tails' voice cut through the air and caught their attention. Turning around, they saw the young boy running alongside Robin, Captain America, and Luigi, with Celestia flying above them with relief all over her face. As soon as she landed she wrapped her wings around Twilight, not wanting to let go.

"H-How...?" Celestia stuttered, unsure of what was happening, before letting go of Twilight so that she could breathe.

"We'll explain later." Batman had cut in before Twilight could get a word in. "Right now we have bigger problems to deal with." He glanced behind him, noticing the dust settle.

Cap took notice of this and asked, "How do we stop that thing?"

"The Foundation of all Dimensions is its power source." Tony explained, folding his arms over his chest. "If we can somehow remove it from the robot..."

"It would shut down!" Tails finished excitedly.

"Bingo!"

"But how are we going to achieve this?" Damian asked his father, holding his sword in his hand.

"This is like nothing we've ever faced before!" Luigi said in a worried tone, looking into his brother's eyes. "How are we gonna stop it?"

"Not alone."

The group faced the source of the voice, the voice of Optimus Prime, who was leading the army of heroes alongside the Mane 5 and Superman. Together they all stood, united, ready to fight as one. The Guardians smiled before turning around to face The Forge, which had risen from the crater it had created.

As the robot began to power up, the Guardians shot up into the air and faced down the robot with heavy glares. As the heroes readied themselves, Twilight and Sonic zoomed down at full speed, leading the charge against Eggman.

The Forge raised its right hand and fired a death laser at the pair, with Sonic spinning to the left and Twilight going to the right, boosting forward to continue their assault. And flying alongside them were the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Martian Manhunter, Baymax, Celestia and Luna, Rainbow Dash, even Fluttershy. And of course, the other Guardians of the Multiverse.

As the aerial team distracted Eggman with a flurry of attacks, the ground team, led by Optimus Prime, stormed forth and began attacking its legs to try and get it to fall down. Optimus' hands transformed into blades as he leapt forward and began cutting at the limbs.

Knuckles and Applejack began laying into it as Go Go sped around it, throwing her discs at The Forge's legs before rushing up, using its leg as a makeshift road. And she wasn't alone as Spider-Man ran up the side of its leg, making his way to the cockpit.

As both teams did their best to distract the mad doctor, said villain was growing tired of these games, so he decided to level the playing field. But before he could initiate the command, he was greeted by the sight of Spider-Man clinging to the glass before him. He yelped as the hero waved before swinging away, revealing Sonic, who was charging right toward him.

"CHECK IT!" Sonic shouted as he crashed against the glass, sending the mech sliding backwards.

The Forge fired a laser at Batman, who was flying around the mech with Rainbow Dash, but failed to notice Superman behind him. The Man of Steel rammed into the back of the mech, sending it flying across the air. It landed harshly on the ground, turning itself around and standing upright, the Foundation lighting up in its chest.

As the army of united heroes charged forward, Eggman slammed The Forge's fist onto the ground, creating a blue shockwave that sent them all flying back. But the Guardians powered on through and each struck the mech in the chest, loosening the Foundation slightly.

This set off alerts inside the mech, causing Eggman to scream and lean forward, "W-WHAT?! IMPOSSIBLE!!!"

"That's what you don't get!" Twilight retorted, hovering before the mech with her friends. "Anything is possible with the Multiverse!"

"Yes, and that includes your demise!" Was Eggman's response, slamming his hand on a button that created two black orbs in each of the mech's hands. The orbs then launched into the sky and expanded into two, sinister black holes. Even now, having been just awakened, they began to suck everybody into them. "This is goodbye! It's a shame you won't be around to see my new Multiverse, but that's the way it is. Never again will any of you deny me my destiny! The Eggman Empire begins anew!"

As he laughed maniacally, Twilight simply looked to the others and smirked, quickly zooming up into the air and splitting up into two teams. Hovering before each hole, the Guardians held out their hands and shouted collectively, "CHAOS CONTROL!!!" And before they knew it, the black holes imploded out of existence.

That shut Eggman right up.

"NO! WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!"

"You just lost again, Eggman!" Sonic taunted, him and the other Guardians appearing in front of the mech suddenly. And they weren't alone as the ground team also stood before him. "Figured you'd be used to it by now."

He tried to fire a laser at them, he really did, but for some reason it just wouldn't fire. His eyes shot open when an alert popped up in his glasses, there wasn't enough power. To his horror, the Foundation had been loosened from the mech's core, so much so that the robot was beginning to lose power.

"WHAT?! NO! HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?! THE FOUNDATION IS SUPPOSED TO BE MORE POWERFUL THAN THE CHAOS EMERALDS! MORE POWERFUL THAN ANYTHING!"

"Not as powerful as friendship." Twilight said with a smirk.

Eggman shook his head in defiance, "No! It can't end like this! I won't let it!" As a last resort he threw a punch at his lifelong nemesis, only for it to be caught in his hand effortlessly. Eggman tried pushing the punch further, but shrieked when it suddenly exploded, due to being punched by Sonic. With one hand gone, he tried hitting Batman with the other, only for it to explode upon impact.

And before he could do anything they all tore through the mech, flying in and out of it multiple times, tearing through the hull, the legs, the torso, everything. Tiny explosions erupted all over The Forge of all Creation, alarms blaring inside of the cockpit.

And worst of all....

Orbot added another mark to Sonic's side of the tally.

As The Forge began to explode, The Guardians of the Multiverse hovered before it, watching as it burned up. Together, they all flew forward in an aura of golden light, going straight for the Foundation of all Dimensions. They rammed into the orb, pushing it right through the mech and exiting out of its back in a blaze of golden glory.

Meanwhile, inside the cockpit, everything was falling apart. Wires fell from the ceiling, the consoles were exploding, everything was ruined.

And Eggman just sat there, his eyes blank, his mouth agape. Everything he had worked for, all the scheming, all the plotting, all the research, it had all come undone. All because of those Guardians. Because of him. An image of that hedgehog and his cocky grin flashed in his head and he began to shake violently with rage.

"I hate that hedgehog. I hate him! I HATE HIM! HATE HIM!!!" Eggman roared as he slammed his fists into the console in front of him. "HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE! HAAAAAAAAAATE!!!!" And with that, The Forge of all Creation exploded as multiple arcs of light shined out of it. The explosion sent Eggman, Orbot, and Cubot soaring through the air inside the Egg mobile.

"Whelp, I knew that it was too good to be true." Cubot sighed to his orb-like companion.

Orbot simply shrugged, shaking his head as he replied, "Another plan down the drain, who could've guessed that?"

"OH SHUUUUUT UUUUUUUUP!!!" Dr. Eggman let out one final scream of rage before flying through the portal, which had opened up behind them suddenly, and left Foundation Prime for good.

At long last.... It was finally over.

Twilight and the Guardians, who witnessed the mad man's departure, looked down from the sky and stared at the orb in their grasp, its glow dimming as it closed the portal it opened. They did it, they actually did it! The Multiverse was saved!

But their work was not yet done.

Looking to one another, they each knew what had to be done.

And so they each gathered around the Foundation of all Dimensions and interlocked hands, or hooves in Twilight's case, and closed their eyes, focusing only on their shared connection to the Foundation. As they focused on the heart of life itself, they failed to notice the white aura that encompassed them, their shared power amplifying significantly.

And together they focused on the aspects that made up the very best of the Multiverse.

Bravery.

Destiny.

Courage.

Truth.

And Humanity.

A pulse was released all across Foundation Prime, covering the entirety of the fallen dimension, and not only that, but it spread to every single dimension affected by Talos and Dr. Eggman. All the damage done, all the anomalies and distortions, all repaired and erased through a shared connection of friendship and togetherness.

The power died down and the Guardians felt it leave them as they lowered to the ground, where everyone was waiting for them. The Chaos Emeralds left their bodies, returning them to their normal forms, and landed softly on the ground.

And before they could do anything they were swarmed by their friends and loved ones.

Sonic was engulfed in a hug from both Tails and Amy while Knuckles gave him a thumbs up.

Steve Rogers walked over and gave Tony a hug, which was surprising to the billionaire, but he returned to embrace.

Mario was bombarded with kisses from Peach while the rest of his friends gathered around him.

Damian surprisingly initiated the hug between father and son.

And Twilight was tackled to the ground by Spike and the Mane 5, with Celestia and Luna watching the scene unfold with caring eyes.

And behind the group, the army of heroes watched on with smiles on their faces.

"H-how did you survive the explosion?" Rarity asked as she helped Twilight up from the ground.

Everyone was curious about that, but the Mobians looked at one another knowingly before Sonic answered, "The Chaos Emeralds." He looked down at the gemstones for a moment before looking back up at the others. "They saved us at the last second. Gave us the final boost we needed to stop Eggman and restore the Foundation of all Dimensions."

"But how did they do that?" Fluttershy couldn't help but ask, squeaking and hiding behind her mane when the attention was on her.

It was Knuckles who answered, "We always wondered if the Emeralds possessed some level of sentience." He folded his arms and smirked at the group, "I guess that answers that question."

"With the threat neutralized and the Foundation of all Dimensions restored it is safe to say that this adventure has reached its conclusion." Celestia declared, spreading her wings out majestically. She set her sights on Twilight before turning to look at each of the Guardians, "And we have these five heroes to thank for that."

Twilight looked away as she felt the heat rush to her face, "We didn't do all the work, Princess Celestia."

"No." Captain America started, approaching the young mare and kneeling down to her eye level. "But you took charge and led us all to victory, you helped save a lot of lives today, Twilight Sparkle." He placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled, "There's no doubt that everyone here is proud of the leader you're becoming."

"You have no idea." Batman concurred with a faint smile on his face.

The center of attention suddenly felt a leg wrap around her neck. "We knew you could do it, Egghead!" Rainbow Dash said with a beaming smile.

"If anyone was gonna help save the day, it was gonna be you." Spike said with a smile before he felt Twilight wrap her legs around him, engulfing him in a bear hug.

While that was happening, Tony Stark removed his helmet from his head and sat down on the sand, leaning back on his elbows. "I don't know about any of you, but I could use a drink."

"Don't we all." Luna silently agreed, a glass of red wine sounded pretty good right about now.

Suddenly, Pinkie Pie! "Hey! Why don't we have a party?" Everyone turned to her as she explained, "C'mon! It'll be fun! I mean, we diiiiid just save everypony from extinction not once but twiiiice in the same day! And Mr. Stark said that he could go for a drink, and I know a few ponies who could use some of Applejack's cider right about now."

The rest of the Mane 6 couldn't help but mutter in agreement.

"You know that's not a bad idea." Captain America agreed, looking to everyone, "We could all use a breather after everything that's just happened. Plus I think we've earned it. Count me in."

Pinkie bounced around and saw everyone else agree as well. "Awesome!" She looked to the army of heroes behind them, "What about all of you?"

They all looked to one another with smiles on their faces before Optimus spoke, "I believe that I speak for all of us when I say that a celebration of our victory is in order."

"We wouldn't miss it!" Rapunzel reiterated, with Maximus neighing next to her in approval.

The rest of the army nodded and muttered in agreement, they could all use a night to let loose and chill with one another.

But there was only one person who hadn't agreed.

Take a wild guess.

Everyone turned to Batman, including Robin, as he stood there with his arms folded across his chest. "I really need to get back to Gotham. We've been away for too long." He turned around and began walking away, "Besides, we need to return those Foundation Elements back to their respective dimensions." He was going to walk further, but felt something tug on his cape. When he turned around he saw the tip of his cape covered in a pink aura, and so was Twilight's horn. He looked at her before asking, "You're not gonna let me go, are you?"

"Nope." Was her answer.

Bruce sighed, lowering his head in defeat, if there was one thing he learned on this adventure, it was that Twilight Sparkle was just as stubborn as him. "Okay fine, maybe one drink." As Twilight and the others cheered, he couldn't help but say, "But first we return the Foundation Elements to their respective dimensions." He was about to continue when a very loud hum echoed from the Foundation of all Dimensions.

They all turned up to face it as it glowed brightly, and not only that, but several blue beams shot up from the rubble of the Fortress.

"It seems that the Foundation of all Dimensions has got that covered for us." Celestia nodded before squinting her eyes in thought, "And now that that's been dealt with, that begs the question. Where would we hold these festivities?"

It was Tony's turn to smirk, "Did I mention that I own and live in my very own tower?"

This was the longest battle yet, and it kinda had to be, given that it was the final battle, the culmination of over a year of work. Wow! A whole year I've been working on this story, that's actually crazy. And the fact that it's gotten as much attention as it has is astounding to me.
