Rarity could feel tears building up as she frantically ran her hooves through the simply gorgeous clothing before her. She had lain on her bed nearly half an hour ago, and the outfits hadn’t quite started out in a pile, but they were getting that way. This colour disqualified that outfit, an adorable little bonnet disqualified another, and the cutest little design she’d ever seen meant that outfit was also out of the running. She sniffled, and could feel her mascara beginning to run.

“I don’t think it matters, Rarity.” Sweetie Belle had thought Rarity would get over herself, but she should’ve known better.

“You don’t understand, Sweetie. I-I can’t see how I was caught completely by surprise, but I’m simply unprepared!”

“I don’t think he’ll mind wearing the filly clothes you made.” Sweetie Belle was getting tired of this.

“I didn’t know I was having a colt!” Rarity wailed.
