Twilight Sparkle and Friends Return
(5 Months After Twilight's Coronation)
It was a dawn of a new day in the world of Equestria. The sun was peaking over the horizon turning the once-dark sky into a light violet color. With the sun beginning to come out, the animals started to wake and the sound of birds chirping could be heard. It was another beautiful morning in Equestria, but this morning was a little bit more beautiful than normal. One would say that this morning was a sign that today was going to be a good one.
In Canterlot, the morning's light shined upon the royal castle bringing out its colors of white and purple. While the morning light was shining across Canterlot, one of the beams of the morning sun snuck into a window on the castle. The light awoke the resident in the room. The victim of the sun's light however refused to get up, with many groans mixed with tossing and turning. The victim was a young dragon who started to sleep in often, but the young dragon soon gave in and said "you win, you win I will get up!". The young dragon did as he said and got himself ready for the new day.
After the young dragon got himself prepared for the day, he started wandering to the dining room for some breakfast. The young dragon whilst walking down the hall started to admire the decor "man, sometimes I still can't believe that I get to live here". Spike started to think to himself "I wonder what's for breakfast this morning, I hope it is toaster strudels". Spike after giving himself this idea of hope, started to pick up his pace and race toward the dining room. Shortly after his small run he opens the pair of big doors and enters the dining room.
Spike takes a seat at the dining table to see the silverware ready for him and another. Spike says "gee, I really hope Twilight comes out with toaster strudels that would make this the perfect morning". After Spike finished his sentence a purple alicorn enters the room.
"Good morning Spike, I made pancakes," the alicorn said while setting the meal down on the table.
"Wow Twilight, these pancakes look delicious you did a really good job!" exclaimed Spike.
"Your welcome my number one assistant" Twilight said.
"But any chance we can have Toaster Stroodels tomorrow?" Spike asked.
Twilight giggled at the question "Sure Spike, I'll make sure you get your strudels tomorrow".
After Breakfast, the two were still sitting at the table just having a conversation. "So what is on the agenda today?" asked Spiked.
"Well, today we have to write an hour-long speech and a 100-page thesis on current foreign relations in Equestria," said Twilight.
"Uhhh, not again" Spike complained.
"Just kidding" Twilight joked "I actually have something special planned for today" replied Twilight.
"Oh are we taking a trip to Las Pegasus for an important meeting?" Spike asked.
Twilight Chuckled "No Spike, we are going back to Ponyville for the day to just see all of our friends".
"But Twilight, what about your royal duties?" Spike Questioned.
"Don't worry Spike, My royal cabinet that I've appointed has everything covered for the day its all taken care of" Twilight answered.
"Wow Twilight that's amazing, I can't wait to see everypony again" Spike stated.
"Me too Spike, it's been a little bit since we've all been together," Twilight said.
"So where are we meeting everypony then?" Spike asked.
"We are having this little get-together at my old castle" stated Twilight.
"That's awesome, When are we leaving?" asked Spike. "Right now," said Twilight, and just like that, they were off to Ponyville.
(Twilight's Castle-Ponyville)
Twilight arrives at the castle with Spike, they end up in the planning room made for the Mane six. "I remember this room just like it was yesterday," Twilight said while sitting down in her designated chair.
"Me too Twilight" Spike agreed "But it feels kind of empty".
"Well of course Spike, but don't worry Pinkie is coming to decorate" Said Twilight.
"That's great, but I hope you don't mind me asking...who all is coming?" Spike asked.
"I'm glad you asked, well as you know The Girls are coming, Starlight, and lastly Celestia and Luna".
"Wow the gang is getting back together again, so no Cadence and Shining?" Spike questioned.
"yeah they were busy, but I have a feeling we will see them soon" Twilight said.
The two big doors to the room opened, and through the open entered a purple unicorn with a dark purple mane and blue highlights. "Hey, Twilight it's been forever since I've seen you welcome back to ponyville" Starlight said to Twilight as she hugged her.
"Thank you Starlight, and it's nice to see you as well" Twilight replied "How is being head mare at the School," asked Twilight.
"Oh you know just a lot of talking to students and professors, and lots of paperwork" Starlight said.
Twilight giggles "nothing really changes that much huh".
"Not at all, anyways I brought a friend I hope you don't mind" Starlight adds.
"Of course not, the more the merrier...Sunburst is always welcome," Twilight said.
"Umm about that, I didn't bring Sunburst," Starlight said awkwardly.
"Then who did you bring then?" Twilight asks acceptingly.
The Doors opened once more, and the pony that came through the doors was a light blue unicorn with a silverish blue mane. "I'm sorry but the great and powerful Trixie forgot her great and beautiful cape in the wagon," Trixie said.
"Oh, it seems you brought my favorite blue unicorn to my get-together" Twilight said sarcastically.
"Hi Twilight you're looking good as ever, welcome back to Ponyville," Trixie said to Twilight.
"Thank you for the warm welcome Trixie, it is nice to see you again," Twilight said with a stern face.
"It is nice to see you as well Twilight," Trixie said with a smirk.
"Twilight, you know she's my friend why are you being dismissive with her?" Starlight asked Twilight.
"I'm sorry Starlight, I was just caught by surprise is all I will play nice" Twilight replied. "So Trixie, How is being the School Counselor going?" Twilight asked Trixie.
"It is going just great, Trixie just loves giving good advice to the students and help to guide them to their goals" Trixie answered.
"That's great Trixie, I'm glad you're doing a good job and found your calling" Twilight genuinely replied.
"Thanks, Twilight I really appreciate that" Trixie replied.
"And Trixie, sorry for that comment, in the beginning, it was uncalled for...I really think you have come a long way since the first day we met" Twilight added.
"Aww thank you, you have touched Trixie's great and powerful heart" Trixie replied. Twilight and Trixie hugged each other and made up.
The doors opened again and a group of five ponies entered. "Welcome back to Ponyville Twilight!" the whole group exclaimed towards Twilight.
"Oh you guys, I have missed all of you," Twilight said with tears in her eyes. The five ponies and Twilight meet and get in a group hug.
"Darling, you simply must tell us how being the ruler of Equestria is going" Rarity insisted to Twilight.
"Do you find it scary and intimidating?" Fluttershy asked Twilight.
"Well it can be" Twilight tried to answer.
"Do you deal with even more bad guys like evil wizards, or beasts not even seen before?" Rainbow dash asked while interrupting Twilight's reply to Fluttershy.
"Umm not exactly" replied Twilight to Rainbow Dash.
"Is it loads of fun, like when I throw a party but like multiply that by a million" asked Pinkie Pie.
"Umm I can not say that I have that much fun Pinkie Pie" Twilight giggled.
"All of yall need to give Twilight some space and stop hounding her with questions, the last thing she wants to talk about is princess business" Applejack said to the group.
"Thank you Applejack, but it's fine I want to share what my new life is like with you all" Twilight responded. "I think we all should take a seat at the friendship map and talk about things such as me being the ruler" Twilight said to everypony. Everypony agreed and sat down on their rightful chairs, except Starlight and Trixie who were given chairs to sit at the table.
Shortly after Everypony sat down and had a small talk with each other about how things have been and how things are now. "Hey so where are the girls right now?, I'd like to see them while I'm here" Stated Twilight.
"Don't you worry Twilight, Applebloom, and all of em are still in school right now" Applejack answered.
"But they should be getting out soon, today is an early release day" Rarity added.
"I told Scootaloo to meet me here at the castle for the get-together, so I'm guessing she told Applebloom and Sweetie Bell" Rainbow Dash also added.
"Great, I can't wait to see those three girls again for the get-together" Twilight said.
Pinkiepie suddenly gasped "I totally forgot about the decorations" Pinkie suddenly leaped out of her chair and zoomed around the room like a pink blur and shortly the room was decorated in forty-five seconds. "Ta Da" exclaimed Pinkie Pie "I've still got it," said Pinkie Pie.
"That was amazing Pinkie" Fluttershy commented.
"That was cool Pinkie, but I can do it faster" Rainbow Dash boasted.
"Oh my gosh, that reminds me!" Applejack exclaimed. "I forgot the apple cider for yall, let me excuse myself," Applejack said while running out of the room.
"So, the great and powerful Trixie heard that former Princess Celestia and Luna are attending this get-together" Trixie said.
"Who told you that, Starlight?" Twilight smartly responded.
"Yes," Trixie embarrassingly answered.
"Well, I think they are running late but they will be here," Twilight said reassuringly.
Applejack came back with barrels of cider "Hey yall, I'm back with the cider and there is enough for everypony and then some" stated Applejack. Every pony in the room cheered including Spike, and they all started passing around and drinking the ice-cold cider.
A few moments after the apple cider was passed around and a couple of rounds have passed with lots of conversations and stories, The Cutie Mark Crusaders entered the room. "Twilight!" the three young ponies exclaimed while running and tackling Twilight.
"Applebloom, Sweetiebelle, And Scootaloo oh have I missed you guys, and it's so good to see you," Twilight said to the fillies whilst being tackled on the ground.
"Alright, Applebloom that's enough now," Applejack said.
"Same for you Sweetiebelle off the ground," Rarity said, Rainbow Dash, said nothing but shrugged with a smirk on her face. The young fillies shortly let Twilight go at the same time laughing, Twilight gets up giggling as well.
"So Twilight how do you like being the princess of Equestria?" Applebloom asked.
"Do you feel powerful or the same?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"Is it the most radical gig in the world?" Scootaloo asked.
"All I can say is to all of you that it's an important job, and while I do have lots of awesome power the job comes with tons of responsibility" Twilight answered.
"Whoah," the young ponies said collectively, whilst this was happening Sunburst came bursting through the doors in a hurry.
"Hey Sunburst, I'm glad you could make it but I thought you were busy today," Asked Starlight to Sunburst.
"Thanks, Starlight, but I can't right now it's an emergency!" Sunburst replied.
"What's going on here Sunburst, and what is this emergency?" Twilight asks Sunburst.
"Princess Twilight, I know you are here for a get-together but you can't be here right now...you have to leave now," Sunburst said to Twilight.
"What is it Sunburst?" Twilight asks.
"Well you see there is this unicorn who is terrorizing ponyville because you are here and she won't stop unless she fights you" Sunburst answered Twilight.
"Huh thats odd why would she want to fight me, and the ruler of Equestria of all things?" Twilight asks.
"Look I don't know Twilight but this unicorn is more powerful than me, I think you should just call your gaurds and leave" Sunburst said.
"Look I'm not leaving just yet and certainly not when Ponyville is being attacked, I'm going to fight for what's right this is my royal duty," Twilight said to every pony in the room. All of the ponies cheered for Twilight except for Sunburst who was very skeptical of the situation.
Shortly after every pony in the room heard a voice outside "Come out Twilight Sparkle and face me you coward or Ponyville will be no more under my hooves!"
Shortly after hearing that call for a fight outside the castle, Twilight and all of her friends walk outside onto the balcony from where they have a view of ponyville and its path. Looking towards Ponyville, Twilight and her friends see that about a quarter of ponyville was on fire, whilst another quarter was destroyed and unrecognizable. "She must be as powerful as Sunburst says if she managed to do that to ponyville and get through the law enforcement," Rarity said.
"What monster would do that to an innocent town, Ponyville has done nothin wrong" Applejack said.
"I agree," Twilight said.
"Oh but I'm not a monster, I'm just a mare with a vendetta" a feminine voice said from below. Twilight looked down to see a female unicorn with a yellow coat, and a crimson mane with pink highlights who had a smirk on her face.
"Are you proud of what you have done, hurting and destroying innocent lives?" Twilight questioned the unicorn.
"Believe me I am proud Twilight, but not of that no...I'm proud of the power that I built to finally defeat you and get my revenge on you Twilight Sparkle!" The unicorn stated.
"Revenge!?!?" Twilight and her Friends exclaimed confused and shocked simultaniously.

Twilight Sparkle and Friends Return (Part 2)
"Yes, you heard me!" said the yellow unicorn. "Please do not tell me that you don't remember me" pleaded the yellow unicorn.
"Hmmm, well you do seem oddly familiar...but I am just having the hardest time placing you" Twilight said to the unicorn.
"Whoa you guys, check out her cutie mark" Pinkie Pie noted to the group.
"It looks like a rising sun with lines coming from it" Fluttershy Commented.
"Hang on those aren't just lines, those are lightning bolts" Rainbow Dash corrected
"Her cutie mark reminds me of some sort of solar lightning storm" Applejack commented
"Enough of this!" Yelled the Unicorn. "Now, allow me to introduce myself my name is Sun Storm and I consider myself one of the most gifted and powerful unicorns Equestria has ever seen."
"Sun Storm?!" Twilight exclaimed with confusion "You were in some of my classes at Canterlot Elementary, no wonder I could'nt remember you" Twilight added.
"Wait, if your one of the most powerful unicorns in Equestria then how come the great and powerful Trixie has not even heard of you?" Trixie asked.
"Fools!" exclaimed Sun Storm "The reason no one has heard of me, is because I have been training and studying in secret until I was ready to exact my revenge on Twilight" Sun Storm stated.
Twilight stared at Sun Storm confused "I'm sorry um...Sun Storm but I'm just a little confused on why you want revenge on me, I did nothing to you so you should hold no grievances towards me" Twilight said to Sun Storm.
"How dare you be so ignorant of my misfortune Twilight Sparkle!" yelled Sun Storm
"Please enlighten me and explain yourself" Twilight responded
"Very well, I will explain to you all who I am and why my grievances towards princess Twilight Sparkle are just" Said Sun Storm. "When I was a little Filly, I was told that I had much promise from my parents and teachers. Ponies thought that calling me gifted was an understatement, no I believed that I was destined for greatness" Explained Sun Storm
"I can agree, I definitely remember you being greater than me at some subjects and sometimes had higher test scores" Twilight added to the story.
"Since I showed much promise and projected to do great things, My school decided that I should be enrolled at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns with a full ride scholarship thanks to the school. Talk about my big break, everything was working out as planned.
"If everything was going so great and just coming all together, then why are you here?" Starlight questioned.
"Ah yes, that is where the fall begins in my tragic tale" Sun Storm assured.
"Oh my gosh, how dramatic" Rainbow Dash commented.
Sun Storm glared at Rainbow Dash "of course with all good things there is a catch, In order to attend Celestia's school and claim the scholarship I would have to pass the entrance exam. Unlike most of my peers I knew that I had what it took to pass the exam with flying colors and everything would come together as I planned."
"Please excuse me, but how do I come into play into this?" Twilight asked
"Well thanks for asking, for the exam I was planning on showing the professors an advanced agriculture spell on the fully sped and maxed growth of energetic watermelons to get them ripe in mere hours instead of months" Sun Storm said.
"What!" Applejack and Apple Bloom exclaimed.
"But Energetic Watermelons can take a long time to get ripe, I hear in some cases that they only get ripe enough in a full year" Applejack added.
"There have only been a handful of wizards in history with enough power and skill to speed up the process of fruits of that nature" Twilight explained to the group.
"And I had the power to do it, but of course you took your exam before me" Sun Storm pointed at Twilight. "I saw you struggle with your exam Twilight, I was confident that you would fail and then I would succeed and take my rightful place in Celestia's school" Sun Storm said
"Oh, I know where this is going" Twilight asided
"But of course then it happened, The Sonic Rainboom" Sun Storm said disgusted and glaring at Rainbow Dash. "Twilight then turned a mere dragon egg into a colassel dragon and transformed many things in the room at the same time, What happened that day had never been done before. After that Twilight not only gets excepted into the school but also becomes Celestia's pupil, but that should have been me" Sun Storm says saddened. "But I could'nt give up, I refused to let you beat me so instead of trying trying to grow the fruit in a couple hours I attempted to do it in minutes."
"And how did that work out?" Rainbow Dash asked sarcastically
"I set the plant ablaze, it was a huge fire. I failed the exam and I did not come home as Celestia's Pupil, or a Student but an embarrasment and a failure" Sun Storm explained. "From that day forward I always had a chip in my shoulder and could never do magic the same"
"This is all about some stupid test from when you were a little filly!" yelled Rainbow Dash.
"Its more than that you fool, my destiney was stolen from me all those years ago and now I have come to collect what I am owed. Twilight Sparkle is only who she is because of a mistake and I plan on righting what I have been wronged" Sun Storm Stated
"Move on" Rainbow Dash said to Sun Storm.
"Enough of this chit chat, today is your final day Twilight Sparkle. I hope that your ready for me to put an end to your reign so I may claim my rightful place" Sun Storm said to Twilight while getting herself into a fighting stance.
"Twilight is not going to fight you!" Starlight shouted at Sun Storm.
"Oh is that so, and why not? is the little princess too scared" Sun Storm said tauntingly.
"It's because your going to be fighting me instead" Starlight said confidently while sporting a grin.
"What!?" Everyone in the group said while gasping at Starlights remark.
"I'm sorry Starlight, but I think challengin her is complete suicide just look what she did to ponyville!" Applejack said to Starlight.
"I agree, shes like crazy strong and stuff" Pinkie Pie added.
"I know, she effortlessly wreaked havoc on Ponyville but you guys have to trust me. I know what I'm doing" Starlight said to the group reassuringly.
"Starlight, you dont have to do this I can fight her. It really is no problem" Twilight said to Starlight.
"Twilight you should'nt have to put up with this today I've got this, plus it has been awhile since I've been in a toss up ever since Chrysalis so I want to do this".
Twilight nods at Starlight "very well then, just go easy on her" Twilight said to Starlight.
"Show her who's boss darling" Rarity said to Starlight
"Yeah, show her how we take care of business in Ponyville" Rainbow Dash Cheered.
Starlight levitates herself from the balcony to the ground where she meets Sunstorm face to face. "I'm gonna make you wish you never stepped a hoof into Ponyville" Starlight angrily said to Sun Storm.
"Oh I hope your not all just bark and no bite Starlight" Sunstorm retorted. "Princess Twilight, I must thank you for sending me an appetizer before the main course but dont you worry I will make sure to save room" Sun Storm shouted to Twilight. Twilight rolled her eyes at Sun Storms words.
"I hope that your ready for me to end this" Starlight said to Sun Storm getting ready to charge.
"Oh you have no idea, I've been destined for this" Sun Storm replied getting ready to charge as well. Sun Storm began to run at Starlight while charging a magic blast. The two unicorns finally meet and pound both of their front hooves into each other. "Hmmm, it seems we are both equal in physical strength" Sun Storm said to Starlight.
"Thats what you think" Starlight replied. Starlight then lowered herself and tripped Sun Storms back legs and then kicked her upwards in the stomach, shortly after Sun Storm lands on her back while groaning in pain. "I'm giving you your last warning Sun Storm, give up and surrender or I will shut you down by force" Starlight said to Sun Storm
"Whoa, when did you learn to fight like that?" Rainbow Dash asked Starlight
"Yeah thats actually amazing" Twilight added
"I've been studying ancient martial arts since I have had a lot of freetime" Starlight explained
Sun Storm begins to stand up while laughing "I must admit, that was neat Starlight I was not expecting that". Sun Storm then gets in a race ready pose "But your gonna have to do a lot better than to bring me down" Sun Storm said. Shortly after her statement, Sun Storm appears to turn into a yellow blur and speeds behind Starlight appearing behind her and kicking Starlight in the back of her head sending her a couple feet in the opposite direction.
"Whoa, That definitely woke me up" Starlight said while regaining her footing. Starlight then uses her magic to telikenetically grab Sun Storm.
"You better let me go, or I swear you will pay with your life!" Sun Storm ordered Starlight
"If that's what you really want" Starlight said taunting Sun Storm. Starlight then rams Sun Storm into a nearby oak tree with her magic. The attack causes a small crater, and for the base of the oak tree to lose a chunk "That should take care of it" Starlight said turning her back from the scene.
"Woohoo, yeah that was awesome but how did she get so fast she is only a unicorn?" Rainbow Dash questioned.
"It must have been some sort of a speed spell, it's very rare and uses a lot of stamina" Twilight answered
Shortly after Twilights comment, The oak tree appeared to be smoking and then was set ablaze. A couple seconds after the whole tree was consumed by fire, the small crater erupted turning into a bigger crater with something jumping out of it. "No no no, I refuse to go down that easily" Sun Storm said with minor injuries present. "I will make you pay for making a fool out of me!"
Starlight turned around shocked at a standing Sun Storm "I guess this was'nt going to be so easy after all" Starlight said out loud. Starlight begins to unleash a barrage of magic blasts at Sun Storm, only for the yellow unicorn to speed through the barrage dodging all of the blasts. Sun Storm shortly meets Starlight to her surprise and elbows her stomach sending her flying tens of feet, from this Starlight is on the ground weazing from the attack.
"How can some random unicorm from out of nowhere be this powerful?" Starlight questioned while still on the ground with barely any wind
"Oh no I just cant watch this" Fluttershy said while covering her eyes.
"This is insanity!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed
"Well it has been loads of fun Starlight, you were an admirable warm up" Sun Storm said while beggining to charge a magic blast with her horn. "But all good things must come to an end, including you" Sun Storm said while firing the devestating blast towards the downed Starlight.
"Starlight!" the group cried out while the blast was closing in on Starlight
Just before the blast was going to hit the downed unicorn, another blast intercepted the attack and knocked it into the sky where it detonated. "Who dares to meddle with my fight between me and Starlight?" Sun Storm questioned the ponies on the balcony. "Twilight Sparkle, if it was you I will make Starlights end slow and Painful" Sun Storm said to Twilight. Twilight again gave Sun Storm a stern stare and then a smirk.
"It was me!" a familiar voice announced, all of the ponies except for Twilight on the balcony gasped at the unicorn. "Talk about kicking a pony when they're down" Rarity said to Sun Storm while walking towards Starlight who was still on the ground. "Need a hoof?" Rarity asked Starlight helping her up.
"I still cant believe that you deflected that powerful blast Rarity, how did you do it?" Starlight asked Rarity.
"Lets just say that after Twilight left Ponyville, I decided to take my magical studies to the next level" Rarity replied.
"I'm impressed Rarity, you managed to deflect one of my strong attacks but that was nothing but a fluke" Sun Storm said to Rarity while shifting her gaze to Twilight. "I must say Twilight, it is very gutless to send your friends to fight your own battles" Sun Storm said to Twilight. Twilight rolled her eyes again at the remark.
"Don't listen to her Twilight, she does'nt know what she's talkin about" Applejack said to Twilight
"Listen Starlight, I think that from this point we should fight her as a team" Rarity said to Starlight.
"I agree, she just keeps getting more and more dangerous we have to stop this" Starlight replied
"Then its settled, we'll work together to take her down" Rarity said to Starlight. The duo nod at each other and both look back onto Sun Storm.
"Alright ladies, are you two ready for the second round?" Sun Storm asked the unicorn duo.
Rarity and Starlight nodded at each other in agreement "yeah we are ready to take you down" Starlight said.
"It is so on!" Rarity added.
"Then let round two begin" Sun Storm said while spawning a bell and ringing it.

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed part 2. Let me also say that I had a little bit of a hard time writing the fight sequences mixed with dialogue.
