My Little Pokémon: Grander World
It's All Coming Together
Previous ChapterNext ChapterKalos. LukewarmValley. Afternoon.
Out in the Kalos Region, a terrible sand tornado had been summoned as well as a massive hole in a desert-like area. This was all thanks to Volo using the power of a Shard and the Life Plates he currently has, causing a mess in the area. The Pokemon Rangers who managed to show up failed to get in close thanks to the terrifying power that it displayed, but at this moment, Ash and his group were heading straight for the next shard before Volo could beat them there.
Only 5 Shards remain.
Currently, Ash and his group found themselves in a valley not too far from where that desert-like area Volo was at. By entering this valley, it would take them down the path of where the next shard is as Ash was following the watch's display.
The group would continue their search, moving across this valley. But due to Volo's antics, the Pokemon Rangers were all preoccupied with the aftermath. They were helping the Pokemon that were caught up in the crossfire, putting them somewhere safe.
The Rangers were also trying to keep the Pokemon from leaving the area, as the energy made them very aggressive and difficult to tame.
"I've never seen anything like this." One of the rangers would gasp, witnessing a group of Pokemon that were affected by the energy. They were a bunch of Espurr, and their fur was a bright red, along with a red aura surrounding their bodies. They were not happy, and were growling and hissing at the Ranger, their eyes glowing.
"Espurr!"
"Okay, okay. Calm down." The ranger held out his hand, trying to calm the angry Pokemon down. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm only here to help."
"It's no use. They're too riled up." Another ranger said.
"This is the fourth batch we've come across, and it's all because of that guy."
"Where is he, anyway?"
"He's probably not at the last area he was previously at. He might've gone somewhere else by now."
"Then, we should get a move on and track him. This can't go on!"
"You're right. Come on, let's get moving."
While the Rangers were still focused on the incident, Ash and his group continued to trek across the field, passing by many Pokemon that have had their homes destroyed. Some were hostile, while others were just curious. Fluttershy went over to these disturbed Pokemon, trying to help them.
"Poor things. Most likely, the tremors and shockwaves reached their homes and ruined them." She would kneel when facing the Pokemon, having a worried look on her face. "Are you all okay? Are you hurt?"
"Check it out..." Ash would get a good look at the damage caused here, and it was a lot worse than he imagined. Seeing the Pokemon here were quite upset and distraught, he walked over to Fluttershy, leaning down. "Fluttershy. I'm counting on you to help all these Pokemon. We'll go on ahead and find the shard." Ash already knew Fluttershy would handle this and she wasn't one to turn down the wellbeing of a Pokemon.
And Fluttershy understood this as well. She's gained a bond with Ash so strong to the point where they can be separate from each other in different scenarios but eventually, they will reunite.
"Mm. I understand. You should all go and get the shard. I'll make sure to keep all these Pokemon safe." Fluttershy said.
"We know you will." Ash smiled, expecting that answer. So did everyone else.
"Yeah, yeah. We'll leave it to you." Rainbow Dash gave a thumbs up. "Just be careful."
"Oh, I will." Fluttershy replied.
"Alright. Let's get a move on. The longer we wait, the less time we have to get the shard." Ash declared as he and the others would run off, leaving Fluttershy behind.
"Be safe, you guys." She said, watching them go. The shy pegasus then looked back at the Pokemon, seeing that they were still upset and a bit hostile. "Don't worry, everyone. We'll get this place fixed up and get you all settled."
"Audino." Her Audino would walk up to her, looking at the Pokemon as well. They would be very difficult to approach for a few reasons but one of these major reasons was the fact that some of them had the energy crackling out of their bodies.
Unlike the Pokemon in the desert that have been fully affected by the energy, the Pokemon here were still themselves but were on the verge of losing it. Their bodies crackled with that destructive energy as they were twitching uncontrollably
"All that energy around them...They're infected but they're still themselves. "Fluttershy noticed before narrowing her eyes, getting serious. She decided to approach these affected Pokemon, knowing how dangerous it would be. One of these Pokemon was Tropius.
"Tropius!"
"Hey. It's alright. It's okay." Fluttershy spoke softly, slowly approaching the Pokemon. The Pokemon would growl and hiss, backing away. "I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm just here to help."
"Tro..." Tropius would hiss, its eyes glowing a bright red with a violent energy crackling out of it.
She was completely unphased Fluttershy would start to sing a song, hoping to help soothe the Pokemon and get them to settle down. "Calm down. Take a deep breath. Relax. It's all gonna be okay. Just close your eyes and relax."
The same applied to all the other Pokemon suffering from this. The Pokemon would start to listen to her voice, closing their eyes and taking a deep breath. The energy would start to fade, and the Pokemon would stop hissing, growling and becoming hostile.
"That's it. It's all going to be okay. There's nothing to be afraid of." Fluttershy assured the Pokemon, smiling at it. "Now, is there anywhere you'd like me to bring you to? A nice quiet area where you can rest and feel safe?"
"Tropiuuus..." Tropius growled, the energy crackling out of its body. But it agreed to elsewhere since it feared harming everyone else around it due to its current condition.
Fluttershy would lead the way, having the Pokemon follow her as she would go and find a better spot for them all to stay in. The shy pegasus would continue to keep the Pokemon company, hoping to find a way to cure them. There was one spot untouched by the shockwaves and tremors caused by Volo's action, a grassy plain that was shaped like a diamond, having multiple of flowers surrounding it.
It certainly looked comforting, and it was the perfect place for the Pokemon to settle in.
"Here we are. This is a much better place to stay, isn't it?" Fluttershy asked.
"Tro..." Tropius nodded, looking at the area before lying down, relaxing.
"Good. Now, just lay down and take a nap. I'll do my best to find a way to heal you all." Fluttershy promised as each and everyone of the Pokemon would lie down on this spot, counting on Fluttershy to help them before they lose it. Fluttershy would make sure she would not let them down for even a moment.
Now that she had all these Pokemon gathered here, she would turn to Audino, knowing what she had to do. Heal Pulse. The Hearing Pokemon would hold her hands other, washing all the Pokemon with a comforting green light, hoping that this would solve the issue.
For a brief moment, it looked like Refresh was doing the trick as it was somewhat diminishing the violent energy. But it wasn't strong enough to do so. Thankfully, Fluttershy now had a way to remedy it.
"Alright then." She smiled before looking at her Mega Evolution Bracelet, tapping on its Keystone. "Audi! Mega Evolve!"
The bracelet would glow brightly as Audino's body would react to it. A string of lights flew out of the bracelet, forming into a DNA symbol before engulfing the Hearing Pokemon. Audino underwent a transformation, giving her a lighter colour and some wings to boot. As the light washed over her, she eventually emerged as Mega Audino.
"Audino!"
"This should work now. Let's give it another shot." Fluttershy said.
"Audi." Mega Audino nodded. Once again, she would use Refresh, washing the Pokemon with the soothing green light. And this time, the move was effective, getting rid of the energy. It would greatly diminish it, exporting it all out of the bodies of each and every Pokemon suffering from it. The Pokemon let out deep and relaxed sighs once they felt the effects of the move.
"How are you feeling?" Fluttershy asked.
"Blaz! Blaziken!" The Blaziken would answer, getting back up.
"Nido." Nidoking would say, shaking his head.
"Sandslash." Sandslash nodded.
"Good." Fluttershy said, relieved that her plan had worked. "I'm glad that I was able to help you all. You-" Before she could finish, a threatening roar was heard by her and everyone else that have been restored. They all gasped, turning their heads to see that some of the Pokemon already fully affected by the energy have arrived, continuing their rampage here.
Fluttershy gasped at the sight of these aggravated Pokemon while some of the restored Pokemon cowered in fear. The energy that was around their bodies was a mixture of Dragon, Ghost, Rock, Bug, Ice and most recently, Psychic. Due to this violent flux of energy, the surrounding area was being damaged just by their presence alone.
"Oh my." Fluttershy gulped upon seeing the Rampaging Pokemon.
"Kroko!" Krokorok roared, charging forward. Just by moving, it was damaging the area with its violent energy.
"Espurr!" Espurr jumped in the air, firing a Shadow Ball. The Shadow Ball was greatly increased thanks to the Ghost Energy pulsating out of its body, making the attack way bigger than it normally is. As big as a Snorlax, to be exact.
"Audi! Use Protect!"
"Audino!" The Hearing Pokemon would block the attack, using the shield to protect her and everyone else. However, the impact of the blast was so great, it sent her flying back, hitting the ground. "Dino!"
Even though she managed to shield everyone, the power behind these attacks were even greater than before thanks to the shard and Life Plates. So powerful to the point where even Protect can be easily shattered.
Fluttershy went over to her partner, helping her up after she was blown back, but it wasn't the time to check up on others. Not when there were rampaging Pokemon present.
The Rampaging Pokemon then tried attacking Fluttershy as Krokorok made its way towards her, only for Tropius and the Pokemon she helped heal to defend her. Tropius would stomp its foot forward, using Stomping Tantrum to disrupt Krokorok's balance, knocking him down.
All other rampaging Pokemon coming hr way were promptly stopped by these restored Pokemon. Fluttershy had multiple of them stand in front of her, shielding her from all. "You all..." She spoke with a beaming smile appearing on her face while holding onto Audino.
"Audino..." The Hearing Pokemon cooed.
"I'm really grateful you're all willing to protect us." Fluttershy said before standing up. "Id like to help remove the energy from them too, but it won't be easy. Can I count on you all to help me slow them down so I can heal them?"
The Pokemon all cried out in response. They had Fluttershy's full support. It was music to Fluttershy's ears once she heard all of their cries. This was her specialty as always. Her powerful connection to all kinds of creatures, no matter who they may be.
Back with Ash's group, they continued further and further into this massive valley and seeing more and more Pokemon disturbed by the destruction. They were all running about, unsure of what to do or where to go. Some of the Pokemon were completely unaffected by the energy thanks to avoiding it in time, but others were on the brink.
It didn't take long for them to come across a massive obstacle caused by the tremors. Huge pieces of rocks and trees had collapsed into a single point as well as parts of this landscape.
"Whoa." Rainbow Dash gasped. "Looks like it's a total mess here."
"There's no doubt about it." Twilight agreed. "The size of this thing...If more like this show up, then it'll just waste time for us."
"Well, it ain't gonna waste any time for us." Applejack held onto her hat while checking her surroundings. Fluttershy was too busy to come over here and help these other Pokemon that were suffering and this blockade wasn't helping. Knowing this, Applejack decided to do something about it. "Ya'll can go on ahead. I've got this spot. I'll wrangle up these Pokemon before they start causing a real mess."
"Are you sure?" Sunset asked.
"I'm certain. It's the least I can do." Applejack nodded.
"Then, we'll leave it to you. We'll handle the rest." Ash assured her.
"Good luck. I'll do my best." The orange cowgirl nodded before facing the debris. She would start by getting this obstacle out of the way, looking over at her Sceptile. Applejack would tap the Keystone in her hat, initiating the Mega Evolution sequence. "Sceptile! Mega Evolve!"
"Tiiiiiiiile!" Sceptile roared while letting the energy consume him, bringing out his inner Dragon potential as always. Once the light faded, the Forest Pokemon emerged in his Mega Form. "Sceptile!"
"Frenzy Plant!"
"Scep!" To move all of this mess, Sceptile dug his hands into the ground, summoning massive roots and vines from the ground, wrapping them around the fallen debris. With a mighty pull, he was able to lift them all up, pushing them aside.
With the rubble out of the way, Ash and the others had a clear path once more, running through it. "Thanks, AJ! See ya soon!" Ash exclaimed while running off.
"Don't worry 'bout it! We'll catch up later." Applejack called out, watching them go. She then turned to the Pokemon, seeing that they were either going to lose it or have already lost it. They were already hostile, hissing and growling.
"Sceptile. Let's get to work." She grinned while having her lasso ready. All she had to do was keep them all steady until Fluttershy gets here. Just like how her friends were counting on her, she was counting on Fluttershy. They all had each other's back s and trust which is what makes them so powerful to begin with.
Equestria.
While all of this was happening, over at Equestria, many ponies were still on the move, searching for these shards. Young and old were getting involved, it didn't matter what. All to avoid the power of Arceus being used in such a destructive way and for a good reason since they've all gotten a glimpse of what kind of damage such a power could do. The Unown almost wiping them all out was that very example.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders found themselves getting involved which was no surprise and this moment, they ended up in a town in the East. Much like everypony else, they had no way of tracking the shards down. It was all a matter of tackling every place possible and during their search, they came across this town in particular.
Stationed on the light side of a thicket, the hamlet of Gallopgost is home a few ponies here and there and the Pokemon that live with them.
This town wasn't built by a thicket by accident, as it has magical properties, which is of great importance to the ponies of Gallapgost and its success.
The town itself looks elegant despite being a bit small. With its yew wood rooftops, mahogany wood walls and imposing glacier, Balagost has a captivating atmosphere.
"This'll do just fine!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. "I've got a good feeling about this one, ya'll!"
"We've already been to 6 places so far. This better be where we can find a shard..." Sweetie Belle sighed, a bit exhausted from all the moving. The fact that they've tackled 6 places was a job well done and yet there was no progress.
"They said that this town's been letting off some weird lights lately. I say we check it out and see if it's a shard. That stuff produces weird light, doesn't it?"
"Yeah, yeah. Just hurry up and find it." Diamond Tiara, who was joined by Silver Spoon said. "My hooves are getting tired and I wanna go home already.
Doing just that, they went up to the local residents, seeing what they could gather. Any clues on any shards of the kind. The ponies of the town didn't seem too involved in it all or anything else that has happened over the past 4 years. It was another one of those towns that just lived a peaceful life.
As the CMC, Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon were asking questions to others, one pony would answer them, grabbing their attention. A rather old stallion on a rocking chair.
"Yeah. I saw some weird-looking shard. It was here about 4 weeks ago."
"Really?! You really saw one?!" Scootaloo bellowed with excitement. "Which one was it?!"
"Couldn't tell. The fella who used it wouldn't let anyone get a good look at it." The old pony shook his head. "Ended up flying North to just get away."
"North, right? That means he might come from somewhere in the North. Or he's just hiding there." Sweetie Bele shrugged. "But I bet he's hiding because of the news. He probably doesn't wanna give up those shards!"
"Probably. But that's what he thinks!" Scootaloo replied. "We'll get that shard by finding him!"
"And how are we gonna do that? Heading North means we'll get into some cold territory and if he knows about the news, he's gonna be working even harder to hide from us." Silver Spoon raised an amazing point. The fact that this mystery pegasus was keeping the shard for himself meant that it would be way harder to find the shard he has.
"Uhh..." That was the issue that the girls came across.
"Hm. I can solve that." Diamond Tiara actually had a solution to this issue. "The shards react to each other when there's more of them nearby, right? Let's do that. Let's bring the other shards with us so that they can react to this other shard and that's when We'll know where he is."
"Great thinking! Lena has enough shards for that! We'll tell Princess Celestia, then she'll tell everyone else and then Lena will come running with the shards and presto! We have our next shard found!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. It did sound like a clean plan. One that could work out well.
"Nice! Let's do it!" Apple Bloom cheered before running off with her friends. "Thanks for the help, Mister!" She thanked him before continuing to run off. They had their lead for the next hard. Whichever one it was.
It was all coming together at last. Very few shards were having their locations pinpointed. What started out as items that were difficult to find, now led to the near completion of all 18 coming together to finish it off. Wherever they may be hidden or who may be holding onto them, both sides had their ways of finding them.
Whether by a powerful item or by sheer numbers alone. The clock was ticking, signifying the near end of this search now that 5 in total remain. And that clock was also heading into something absolutely massive. In Lena's case, complete restoration and fixing time itself. In Volo's case, the absolute truth and the power to reshape it all.
As the journey continues.
