My Little Pokémon: Grander World

Kalos. An old castle. Nightfall.

Volo had found the Dark Shard, making only 4 Shards remaining in the world. And right before he found it, he had pushed Ash and his friends into a deep room located in this old castle, preventing them from retrieving the shard. However, Volo was smart enough to know that Ash's group were not so easily dealt with. The possibility of them making a comeback was very much high and he could not allow that to happen, even for a moment.

As the malevolent energy surged through the floor, it began to seep into the chamber where Ash and his friends had fallen. The darkness around them seemed to pulse with a sinister life of its own, the air growing thick with the oppressive power of the Dragon and Dark Shards.

Ash was the first to sense it. His eyes widened as he saw the faint, dark glow permeating the walls around them. "Something's coming!" he shouted, his voice echoing in the vast, shadowy space.

The girls all gasped while Ash narrowed his eyes at the sight of a Draconic and Pitch Black energy coming their way. Ash was quick to act before it could cause any harm.

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...!" Pikachu would leap into the air as his body lit up with electricity. "Chuuu!" From his body, 100,000 volts of lightning were unleashed, striking at the energy. It managed to hold them back for a bit as the two attacks cancelled each other out.

Volo, aware that his previous attempt had been thwarted, decided to harness even greater power. From within his bag, he drew out the Spooky Plate, the spectral surface of which seemed to absorb all light around it. This Plate, formerly the Ghost Shard, hummed with ancient, eerie power.

With a grin, Volo combined the Spooky Plate's power with the shards he already possessed. The energy coalesced into a swirling mass of dark and spectral force, even more potent than before. The air around him grew colder, and shadows seemed to dance in the corners of the room.

From this action, he summoned a chaotic, unidentified force that would start eating away at this room, coming straight for Ash's group. Upon seeing this strange force that was made of Dragon, Dark and Ghost Energy, they began running for it in this dark room.

"What is this?!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, her eyes wide with terror as she watched the mass of shadowy energy advance towards them.

"N-Now's a good time to leave! Now!" Twilight replied, her voice trembling with fear.

"We can't see anything in here! How are we supposed to escape?!" Pinkie Pie cried, her voice filled with panic. It was rather difficult to see properly in this room due to how unusually dark it was. It didn't help that the Dark and Ghost Energies were darkening it some more, making it too difficult to see in here.

"Pi...!" Pikachu tried lighting himself up but even his electricity wasn't enough to pierce this darkness. But there was one Pokemon who could.

"Stop all this nonsense! Go, Ampharos!" Rarity would throw one of her Poke Balls into the air, summoning her Ampharos. The Light Pokemon.

"Ampharos!" The second he emerged. Ampharos already knew what to do in this scenario. "Ampha!" From his body, he unleashed a glorious light that would pierce the darkness, revealing everything around them.

But the second he brought light and proper visibility to it all, Ampharos was struck. The unidentified force smashed into Ampharos's body, causing him to gasp as he was pushed against the cobblestone walls with aggressive force.

"Pharos!"

"Ampharos, no!" Rarity cried, watching in horror as her beloved companion was pinned against the wall. The darkness kept him there before then pushing him through the wall, breaking it apart with ease as it came tumbling down. Ampharos groaned and yet his body was still shining even after such an attack.

"Ampha...!"

"Volo, stop this, please!" Sci-Twi would scream at the top of her lungs, hoping that her voice could reach Volo from down here.

"Sorry, Twilight. You and your friends are the only ones standing in my way. I cannot allow anyone to interfere. That's why I'm going to seal you here. And once you're out of the picture, I'll be able to set the world right. Don't worry. I'll make sure you'll be out of here once I accomplish my goal."

"So you're just gonna lock us down here for who-knows how long?!" Sunset would bark at him.

"It won't be for long. After all, very few shards remain. As soon as I retrieve the ones that Lena has on her and find the remaining 4, it will all be over. Now, be sealed in this castle until that all comes to pass." Volo would clench the shards and Life Plate once more, putting some more oomph into them.

He fully intended to seal them in here and thanks to these three energies mixing together, he had the means of doing so. Above them, a Blue, Black and Dark Purple array of colours would appear above the like a storm, swirling around in a manner similar to a vortex.

Shadowy chains could be seen sprouting out of the storm, covered in darkness while having the might of a Dragon behind them. These chains would descend down the hole, attempting to grab them.

"Iron Tail!" Ash would point at the chains.

"Shadow Ball!" So would Twilight.

"Pika!" Together, Pikachu and Espeon would try and stop these chains from restraining them all as Pikachu's tail would harden while Espeon unleashed a blob of shadows at the chains. Pikachu would strike his hardened tail at the chains, rapidly swinging at them and deflecting them. But there was only so much he could stop as the chains were far too abundant. "K-Ka!"

"Esp!" Espeon failed stop them all as well, having her body caught by the chains. Twilight quickly put up a shield of magic to try and protect the others. From her hands, she harnessed her Equestrian Magic, letting it radiate immediately.

The shadowy chains clashed against Twilight's magical barrier, causing the shield to flicker and strain under the pressure. The force behind the chains was immense, and it seemed like it was only a matter of time before they broke through.

"Keep it up, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash shouted, trying to encourage her friend.

Twilight's face contorted with effort as she poured more of her magic into the shield. "I'm trying! But I don't know how long I can hold them off!" The chains, powered by the ferocity of the Dragon Shards, would then start ripping the shield apart as if a Dragon's claws were digging it. It even let out a powerful roar that shook the barrier as if it were nothing but glass.

"T-Twil...!" Before they could all finish their sentence, the shield would shatter, being broken apart. The chains would rush in and ensnare them all, grabbing hold of all the girls and Pikachu.

"Everyone!" Ash bellowed after seeing them all ensared, raised into the air. He would gasp, quickly swaying his body and avoiding one of the chains that tried grabbing him. He and Pikachu would back away as the chains aggressively slithered toward them, holding nothing back at all.

"Pika, Pi-Pikachu!" Pikachu cried out, his nimble body zipping and dashing to avoid the chains. But since there were so many of the, inevitably, some of them would succeed.

"Ampha!" Thankfully, Ampharos had destroyed the chains that tried grabbing them, finally recovering after that destructive hit he took. By using Dragon Pulse, he struck the chains right as they were about to wrap around Ash and Pikachu. "Ampharos!"

"Ngh....!" But the girls weren't slouches either. Twilight closed her eyes while grunting, letting her magic flow into a single point. As her eyes lit up, she was able to shatter the chains that restrained her and her friends, sending a beautiful magical pulse that attacked the other chains all at once.

In her Human form, she was able to greatly unleash her Equestrian Magic as if it were completely natural as seen by the magical wings that grew out of her back. Twilight would hover there with her wings as her eyes were still glowing gracefully.

"Nice!" Ash grinned upon seeing Twilight's reversal. Back up with Volo, he could already feel that Ash and his friends have managed to prevent their defeat once more, proving his point. They were far too dangerous to his plans.

"All this destruction is at least gonna get us a way out of here," Twilight said, her voice strained with exertion. "If we can't stop Volo, he'll just keep attacking us until we're all too tired to continue.."

"Right there!" Pinkie Pie would jump up and down, finding another part of this area"There's a passage!" She pointed to a crumbling archway that led to a dark passageway. Everyone would continue on their way before Volo can throw something else at them.

Volo sighed, getting rather irritated by their persistence. But he expected this. Instead of leaving here with the newly acquired shard, Volo wished to try and seal them before it was too late, but so far, it wasn't panning out. He would try once more, further shrouding the area in an array of dangerous energies.

"If he wants to seal us so badly, he's gonna have to keep up and catch us first!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed before throwing a Poke Ball forward. "Go, Whirlipede!"

"Whirlipede!"

"Break through every wall you see, Whirlipede! Full speed!" Rainbow Dash would point onwards, banking on Whirlipede's speed to make getting around this area much easier. "Use Rollout!"

"Whirl...!" Whirlipede would begin rolling at high speeds, rushing down the hallway while smashing through the walls, creating a path for everyone to go. And he was not about to stop anytime soon until there was a way out of here. With full force, he kept smashing through any walls and blockades that stood in his way while the energies chased him and his friends down the hall.

The energies were actually struggling to keep up with the fast-paced Pokemon, constantly bumping into the walls and crashing into each other. The further they went, the further they realized that this room was a lot like a labyrinth the way it was designed.

"Yeesh! This place is a maze!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, her eyes widening with shock as they continued down the winding corridors. "We're gonna be here until morning if this keeps up!"

With each passing moment, the air grew thicker with the oppressive energy of the shards, and the shadows seemed to dance and writhe in the corners of their vision. The group moved as quickly as they could, their footsteps echoing off the ancient stone walls.

Eventually, after smashing through so many walls and bringing them down, the light of the Moon could be seen peering through a nearby hole in the distance, catching their attention. "There!" Ash would point at the hole, showing their means of escape.

"Perfect! Full speed ahead, Whirlipede!"

"Give him a boost, Pikachu! Quick Attack!"

"Pika-Pika!" Pikachu would jump onto the Whirlipede, ready to break out through the wall. Pikachu would move his body at lightning speeds on the spot, letting the energy of Quick Attack envelop Whirlipede. "Chuuuu!"

"Whirrlll!" The two would combine their attacks to create a massive flow energy, which would then blast a hole in the wall once Whirlipede broke through, allowing them to escape.

The second they would reach the outside, the strange, dark energies would vanish, with the moon shining brightly down on them. "Safe" Sci-Twi gasped, taking a moment to catch her breath.

As they hurried away from the castle, the chill wind whispered through the trees, carrying with it an eerie sense of foreboding. The full moon cast its pale glow over the snowy landscape, illuminating the empty plains surrounding them.

But as they escaped, they had no idea that the castle was beginning to collapse. The stones began to shudder and groan, and the ancient walls cracked and splintered as the castle crumbled beneath the force of the combined shards. They looked behind them to see this old location come apart as a violent burst of Infinity Energy was unleashed from it, engulfing it in shadows and darkness, followed by the roar of a Dragon.

Everything about that castle was now gone, just like that. Not a trace of it left. Not even a crater to show that it was previously here. All that was left was the smoke of the energy that consumed it.

And walking out of that smoke was none other than Volo. "Ah, it's fine. Eventually, when I complete my goal, that castle can return for all I care." He spoke once he made his appearance.

"Volo!" Ash and his friends glared at him, having been caught.

"Somehow...you managed to get out of all of that. I'm not too surprised. After all, one of you is Lena's descendant and the rest of you are just purely stubborn." Volo groaned before coming to a halt, staring Ash down. Sci-Twi had a bit of a nervous look on her face, holding onto Ash's arm due to that.

"Yeah. We're all stubborn." Ash proudly said as that was very much true. It was because of their stubborness that they absolutely refused to lose so easily. "Plus, you're causing a whole lot of trouble for a lot of Pokemon and people. You-"

"If you're asking me to stop, don't try. I've made up my mind long ago. I've never been this close to reaching Arceus in my life and I'm not about to let you all tell me otherwise." Volo interrupted Ash, narrowing his gaze. "Honestly, who cares if I have to cause some destruction along the way."

"B-But, Volo! Why?!" Sci-Twi would step forward, needing to know why he was like this.

"Don't worry. After all of this, any form of destruction left behind by me or anything else will be undone. I'll be able to return to my time once that comes to pass, but I'm afraid it's being slowed down because of all of you."

"If you wanna meet Arceus so bad, did you really have to go and do all this?" Pinkie Pie questioned. "I mean I know a friend who might do it but still!"

"Because of you, Twilight almost had a permanent fallout with Sunset and the others!" Rarity would point aggressively at Volo. "Have you no shame!"

"I don't want to hear that from someone who uses at least 1/5 cups of hair gel." Volo saw right through Rarity and her hairstyle, noticing the amount of gel on it.

"Eeek" jerked back, her heart struck by that retort.

"But whatever. I promise you by the end of this, you'll be thanking me. Grateful for what I'm about to do. So kindly, get out of my way and let it happen."

"No way." Sunset refused and so did everyone else. That was the expected answer.

"What are you going to do about it, huh? If you're not careful, a lot of people and Pokemon will get hurt. It's the last thing I want to do, but I will if it means achieving my goal."

"Ash, he's bluffing, right?! Tell him he's wrong!" Sci-Twi clenched Ash's jacket, not wanting him to say it.

"He's not. He'll definitely do it." Ash responded with a serious gaze while still looking at Volo, making her gasp.

"So, you're finally starting to understand. What will it be, Ash Ketchum? Will you let me continue or will you get out of my way?"

"My Ancestor's working hard to stop you...so I'll do the same. I'll stop you right here, Volo!" Ash declared while holding onto his hat. "We'll all stop you!"

"Hm. With what I have at my disposal now...I highly doubt that. For you see...I'm actually getting in touch with Arceus." Volo would then flare his eyes, his pupils became a bit slimmer as he intimidated some of them. "Ever since I've gotten my hands on multiple shards and returned them to their original forms, I've felt it. The immense power they bring and how I can harness them. Without a doubt, it's divine."

He would then grip onto the Spooky Plate, Dark Shard and Dragon Shard with an elated grin, the energy beginning to rise out of his body. And in the other hand, he had something else. The Shift Stone. "I can guarantee for a moment, not one of you has even felt that kind of power. The freedom it gives is unmatched!"

Volo would suddenly start taking shape by using the power of the Shift Stone while harnessing the power of the shards and the Life Plate. The force of his transformation would send a mighty wind pressure that made all of them raise their hands, shielding their faces.

"W-Whoa!" Rainbow Dash gasped, her eyes widening with shock.

"That's impossible!" Twilight exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief. "There's no way he could possibly wield that much power!"

"Volo...!" Ash's eyes narrowed, his expression grim as he stared at the transformed Volo.

The three energies that swirled around Volo's new form were overwhelming, and the air crackled with their raw, primal power. He seemed to grow taller, his body rippling with untold force. His eyes burned with a ferocious intensity, and his aura pulsed with a dark, otherworldly energy.

Volo had taken on the form of a being that was made out of Dragon, Ghost and Dark Infinity Energy. His shape was mostly the same but his clothes were made out of that energy now along with his hair which would start flowing up.

"This is the power of the Shards. The power of Infinity. Just a few pieces of it! And very soon, I'll be able to reach every last bit of it!" Volo's booming voice echoed through the air, sending a chill down their spines as the terrifying, powerful figure loomed over them.

"I've never seen anything like this before..." Rarity muttered, her voice trembling with fear as she took in the sight of Volo's monstrous form.

"Me neither," Sunset whispered, her eyes wide with terror.

"This feels like..." Twilight has felt this power before but only from her Twilightium Z, a special Z-Crystal Arceus helped sake for her, imbuing a bit of his power in it. "It feels like Arceus's power!"

"What did you say?!" Ash looked back at Twilight after she dropped that bombshell. They all couldn't believe their ears as it sounded as if Volo was actually tapping into the power of Arceus.

"Please be joking! You can't be serious?!" Sunset couldn't believe it.

"It's true. I felt it. It's the same feeling from when I used the Twilightium Z at times. This is the same energy!" Twilight stated with absolute certainty.

"Heh. Of course, it's similar." Volo would reply, raising his finger. "This is how it should be. This is the feeling that has escaped me for so long, but now I'm getting closer to uncovering it all. Very soon, I'll become a man, no...a deity that can stand next to Arceus himself. Even surpass Arceus!"

"Suprass Arceus?! Yeah, right!" Ash found that impossible to believe in so many ways. "Get real!"

"Don't you dare doubt me, Ketchum. If you and Lena can do the impossible constantly, so can I. I have the makings for such a feat. As the descendant of the Celestica People, I alone will fulfil my legacy and go above and beyond what my ancestors were." He then pointed to the night sky, a glint of Infinity Energy appearing on his fingertip. "I alone will stab into the heavens themselves and reach Arceus!"

From his fingertips, he would unleash the energy in the form a beam that would rapidly ascend into the night sky, piercing through many clouds.

A celestial event would occur once the light was higher than the clouds. A black hole would appear in the sky, being visible to many across Kalos. The clouds trembled at such power, causing brief thunderstorms due to the pressure. Or more specifically, Draconic Thunderstorms.

The Dragon Energy would flow into the clouds, sending strikes of Draconic Lightning from above, hitting the ground with unbridled force. The first bolt that struck the ground would cause a brief tremor with ease as the Ghost and Dark Energy would start colouring the sky in the Darkish Purple colour.

"Sweet Celestia..." Rarity stepped back in disbelief at what was forming in the sky.

"You've gotta be kidding me!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, her voice filled with disbelief and awe.

"What is that?! Is that a black hole or something?!" Pinkie Pie cried, her eyes wide with horror. The sight of this dark force was seen by Applejack and Fluttershy, who were still at the valley, having dealt with the rampaging Pokemon.

The Pokemon Rangers, who were helping all the distressed Pokemon that they could saw it as well. "What in the world is that?!"

"This is but an example of what's to come. The kind of power I'll have..." Volo spoke before crossing his arms. "The power of a Deity. Even a Hallowed God such as Arceus won't compare to what I have in store for the future. No...a brand new era entirely. I'll be there from the start, seeing how this wonderful world plays out."

"Yeah, right! Not if we stop you here!" Ash would step forward with Pikachu, ready to take on Volo. The same goes for all of his friends. Despite the overwhelmingly powerful force he distributed in the sky, they still had the spirit to take him on.

"Go ahead and try. But it'll be in vain since at this very moment...more Life Plates should be birthed. Isn't that right, Team Galactic?" Volo spoke to himself, referring to Team Galactic as he put on a smirk.

Team Galactic's Airship.

Speaking of which, Team Galactic had returned to their airship, currently having the newly obtained Psychic Shard with them. Volo left them the Icicle Plate, Insect Plate, Stone Plate and Psychic Shard, making it a total of 4 which avoided any powerful reactions that could be cataclysmic. And in their airship, they had the machine that could restore the shards to their original states.

Mars looked outside to see a great force in the sky, knowing that it was Volo behind it, meaning he's already found another shard and was beginning to really harness the power of the Life Plates.

"Looks like Volo's starting to really pick up the pace. We'll do the same. Restore the Psychic Shard." Mars ordered. They would get right on it, placing the Psychic Shard on the machine and letting it go to work.

As they did this, the Psychic Shard would change shape, becoming much larger than before, matching the shape of the other life plates as a great flow of power would erupt from it. The machine was completely successful in bringing it back to its original form.

Hovering there for a while was none other than the Mind Plate. Its Psychic powers were incredibly potent, and it was radiating a bright, purple glow. Now that they had another plate, the power resonating with the other plates was beginning to build up even more, as if they were begging to be used.

"Now...Volo told us to do one more thing once we restored it." Mars would pick up the Mind Plate, ready to pull off something rather huge. All for the sake of reaching Cyrus. Mars and Jupiter would then hold the Icicle, Insect and Stone Plate, walking outside of the airship and focusing their eyes on the celestial event above.

Once outside, all three of them would raise the plates into the air, letting their light shine as four beams of light would soar upwards. And once those lights were seen, Volo knew that was his cue. All according to plan.

"Bare witness..." Volo would then slowly put his fingers together. "To a spectacular example." He would then resonate with the lights in the sky, having the Dragon, Dark and Gohst energies focus on the Ice, Bug, Rock and Ground energies, sparking a grandiose reaction.

Even though they weren't close to each other and a minimum of 4 were only around one another, Volo had made it to where they would still react even at such great distances. The force in the sky would violently react to it, rapidly expanding and growing stronger, shaking the very sky.

And from it, Volo had managed to open up Time Leaks. Powerful leaks in time would open up by the sheer force of this reaction, ripping the sky asunder and creating a tear in space itself while also interacting with time.

"Time Leaks?!" Ash, Twilight, Sci-Twi and Sunset collectively said. They didn't expect to see Time Leaks appear here, let alone see Volo summon them. Now it was starting to seem like those Time Leaks back in Sci-Twi's world were actually Volo's doing.

"Heh...I was hoping to tap into space, actually but this will do just fine. I'll give an example of my future as this universe's deity by showering your time with those from the past. Straight from Hisui themselves. Enjoy."

Immediately, jumping out of the Time Leaks were Alpha Pokemon. A bunch of them. They started dropping like flies, raining down on this era. It was already bad enough that there were rampaging Pokemon who were affected by the violent energies and now, there were the Alpha Pokemon, who, while not as violent as them, were still very much aggressive.

And since they were being pulled from their own time, they would be very confused and lost, only increasing their aggression even further.

"That's enough!" Ash would run forward with Pikachu, trying to stop Volo from going any further since he was opening up more and more Time Leaks.

"Stay back!" Volo commanded, holding one hand out to try and push Ash away.

"Quick Attack!" Ash yelled before being knocked back by a gust of wind. However, Pikachu managed to zoom past it at lightning speeds, tackling Volo in the chest.

"Pika!"

"Gough!" Volo grunted as the impact forced him back, his feet skidding against the ground. That impact ended up breaking his concentration, causing the Time Leaks to stop appearing, but there was still a bunch of them in the sky.

Volo showed them just what he could with such power. What he, someone descended from the Celestica People could do. And it mostly terrified Sci-Twi as she was heartbroken by this.

"Volo..." From the looks of it, Volo was slipping away, losing a lot of himself. Or perhaps, this is always who he's really been or aspired to be.
