Author's Note

Yesterday felt like Daybreaker actually attacked my home because yikes, this heat!

Might of Land and Sea

Equestria. A local hospital. Late Afternoon.

Ash found himself resting up, set to recover from the burning pain that Sunrise Sparkle left on him. The searing on his back remained stagnant. Soarin brought him to a hospital that was fully empty aside from the few doctors and nurses that stuck around, currently treating Ash.

Not only that, but the Pegalysium Residents found themselves here, mainly those who were in need of treatment after what happened up there. The same goes for Shooting Star.

"Boy. You're still resting up?" Emerging in his shadowy form out side of Ash's body was King Sombra, checking up on Ash.

"Yeah...No matter what, it won't go away," Ash commented while sitting on the bed. "But...even if I can't rest up, I'm counting on everyone. Pikachu, Twilight, Celestia, all of them."

"Hm. But I can tell that you wish to be out there, helping them all." Sombra read Ash perfectly and Ash did not sugarcoat.

"I really wanna. Necrozma's goal is to be back at full strength...but this isn't how it should be."

"Seems as if there is no other option. Since Daybreaker and Celestia are still the same pony in a way, I don't doubt her to not consider other options. She most definitely did, but nothing saw success. Absorption of our entire universe could turn be the only way to heal that Pokemon."

"..." Ash thought about it for a moment. Despite what Sombra said, he had other thoughts. "Yeah. But I don't wanna give up on another way. If there isn't one, we just have to make one."

"And what if that Necrozma succeeds? What if he manages to actually absorb all light from the entire universe? Then what?" Sombra questioned, wondering what Ash would do if Necrozma achieved his goal.

"Then we work hard to bring it all back." Ash grinned, making Sombra roll his eyes before smiling.

"I'd call it childish, but you've proven me wrong with how your outlandish acts seem to emerge as the victor. Perhaps there is another way that I and Daybreaker have not considered. Even so, you don't have the strength to do anything right now..."

"He's right." Suddenly walking through those doors was none other than Cobalion, leader of the Swords of Justice. He made his way here, the Doctor and Nurse moving aside.

"Cobalion?"

"I had to ensure that no one was in here, but it seems you all are. I've dealt with all Solar Empire forces nearby that would have shown here eventually." Cobalion explained. "You don't seem to be in the right condition to do anything which is new.

"Nothing's working..." The doctor said, rubbing his face. "We've tried what we can but this heat is just too much. We can't get past it."

"Looking at it closely, it seems to be almost close to the level of the Sun," Sombra observed. "That magic she possesses is no joke. I doubt even dipping yourself fully into the sea will solve anything."

"I should be going by now. At this very moment, many Legendaries from across the world are on the move, attempting to stop Daybreaker for what she's done and what she will do next." Cobalion explained.

"I'm coming with you." But Ash wished to go along regardless, even with his pain.

"Oh, Ash. You can't go with that searing pain on your back." A nurse objected to it. "Just rest up until we can find something. Anything that could work."

"Mhm. If you go out there right now, you'll be easy pickings out there. We suggest you stay back."

"It's cool. If nothing you guys are using are working, let's try something else." Ash smiled, opting for a solution for his pain. "I don't know if it's gonna stop the heat, but it might hold it back. But I'll need help from you, Sombra. And Shooting Star."

"Me and the boy? Are you perhaps aiming to have me seal up the heat with my Dark Magic? i thought about that, but knew that it would not be enough.

"Yeah. But if we add Shooting Star's magic..." Ash was onto something. Right across this room was Shooting Star's room, where he was being tended to. Garnet opened the door to this room, hearing Ash's conversation.

"If you want Shooting Star, he's up right now. And he's going through it at the moment..."

By that, it referred to the young prince having his head down, gutted by the fact that he could not save his parents or the rest of his nation. It was a painful sight to see him at such low spirits, especially after Ash had faith in him.

"Young Prince..." A pegasus said as they were all worried about their prince.

"Maybe we should let him be for a moment." Garnet suggested, looking out for her friend. "I don't think he has the spirit to do much right now."

"I concur." Mayor Umbra, the pegasus who coincidentally looks like King Sombra spoke, nodded her head. "Anyone would be far too gutted to do anything afterwards. Most likely, those who could not be freed have been taken to Necrozma. I'm not sure if they've been absorbed at all yet, but we can only hope that they have not."

"That sucks..." Kaleidoscope groaned, putting her hooves in her mane. "Our home...the giants...everything. This is just the worst!"

"What happened to Second Wind though? Do you think she's back up at her own nation? Or did she go along with the Solar Empire to cause more havoc?" One pegasus had to wonder. Second Wind did stay out of action the second Sunrise Sparkle got involved and it has yet to be seen where she was during all of this.

"It doesn't matter where she is...Because no matter what, we'll stop her and ruin it all for her." In reality, Shooting Star had not yet lost faith in himself. He was merely thinking about the situation. "We'll save my parents and everyone that was taken..."

"Y-You weren't saddened?!" A pegasus gasped.

"I am sad. Sadder than I've ever been, but I'm not letting that stop me. I'm not going to let it stop me from saving my parents and everyone else. I'm not giving up." Shooting Star looked up, his eyes then shifting to the room Ash was in. Even though the wall was in the way, Ash could tell what was coming next. "Ash. You said you needed my magic, right?"

"Yup."

"I'll add my own with Sombra's. We'll both seal up your pain and hold it back for you. As for me, I'm more than ready to keep going and get everyone else back. Even if it means entering Universe 11 itself. I'm ready for it."

"That's the spirit." Ash grinned, getting back up despite the pain. Cobalion would smile, expecting something like this to happen knowing Ash's impact on others.

"You two have such noble spirits. If you two were of the same species as us, I would have made you two honorary Swords of Justice." Cobalion smiled. "What say we venture off together once you're healed? We will be heading to Alola. That is where I and the other Swords suspect where most of the conflict will eventually converge. Either that or perhaps Universe 11 at some point."

"Sounds good." Ash nodded, and Shooting Star was ready to go.

"Let's do it."

"Good. Then I will wait for you two outside." Cobalion said, leaving the hospital. As for Shooting Star, he immediately entered Ash's room, ready to help seal up his searing pain for the time being. A union of Light and Dark was about to begin.

Sombra would materialize his shadowy body into his full form, standing beside the young prince. Ash would sit back down, showing his searing pain and the mark left by Sunrise Sparkle that just wouldn't leave at all. Sombra looked at the young prince with his usual sharp gaze that could intimidate many, but Shooting Star was not intimidated. Knowing this, Sombra nodded his head in respect, putting on a smile before then unleashing Dark Magic.

Shooting Star would then unleash his Magic which was connected to Light Magic in a way, the two beams coalescing and forming a Light and Dark Beam. The beam would strike Ash's back, and he would feel the searing pain slowly subsiding.

"Agh...!" Ash grunted, feeling the pain slowly fading. He could feel the heat being sealed away, and the burning sensation was being held back. The light on his back was becoming less intense, and the pain was slowly fading. The mark left by Sunrise Sparkle would soon be masked by a mark of Light and Dark.

With this, the searing pain, while still present, would be held back at least. "How does it feel, Ash?" Shooting Star asked, his eyes glowing.

"Feels...pretty good. I can't feel the burning anymore." Ash replied, getting back up. "At least not all that much. Thanks, you two. Alright..." Adjusting his gloves and his hat, Ash would look onwards, ready to go. "Let's go. We've got a lot of work to do."

"The rest of you have not yet been sent to Queen Pyrestar's Universe." Cobalion looked at all of the Pegalysium Residents. "It wouldn't be safe for all of you to try and head there. For now, reside in this hospital for your own safety."

"But what if someone from the Solar Empire finds us here?!" A pegasus questioned.

"I'll mask this hospital." Sombra replied instantly. "It's the least I can do. I'll also make sure that no one from the Solar Empire can get in here. Not even the most advanced technology will be able to detect you."

"Then it's settled. Come. We must make haste." Cobalion would exit the hospital, with Ash, Shooting Star, and Sombra following.

"Be careful, you three." The Pegalysium Residents would say their farewells, wishing them luck. Garnet especially wished Shooting Star all her luck, hoping for the best. Ash would hold out a Poke Ball, throwing it into the air and summoning Dragonite right away.

"Dragonite!"

"So, it's straight to Alola, right?" Ash asked while getting on Dragonite's back.

"The other Swords will be heading there as well." Cobalion nodded in response. "I'm certain that the conflict will be occurring there. So, yes. Let's not waste any time."

"Alright! Dragonite, let's go!"

"Dragonite!" Dragonite would take flight, the trio departing at once with Shooting Star flying alongside Ash and Dragonite while Cobalion would simply gallop on the ground.

Universe 11. The Solar Empire. Canterlot Castle.

Over at Universe 11, right at the Solar Empire, the ruckus caused by Luna's group continued. However, despite this, the Solar Empire managed to get some gateways running at last even with this interference. At the same time, over at the room were many were being kept in containers, Applejack, Spitfire and the Wonderbolts managed to take down the guards in this room, successfully knocking them out as they were all being held up by Sceptile's Frenzy Plant.

Once restrained, the containers would be opened, releasing all of the ponies that were trapped.

"W-We're free?!" A unicorn gasped.

"You're all safe now," Applejack assured, helping up a filly. However, there was the issue of those who have already had their bodies turned into Light. They had no clue how to turn them back.

"Dang it! We don't know how to turn 'em back!" Applejack exclaimed, looking at the light-infused ponies.

"Just keep them close to you," Spitfire suggested. "I'm not sure if they can still function properly, but they'll be fine. We just have to get them somewhere safe that isn't here. I can hear all the noise outside...It's hectic."

"You're tellin' me." Applejack sighed. "All these ponies and Pokemon are fightin' each other. There's no stoppin' 'em."

"Well, we can't just leave them here. They'll be taken again, and who knows what will happen to them." Spitfire stated. "They might even be vulnerable in this state."

"We can put them in our Saddlebags, Captain. They look small enough for that." Misty Fly suggested as the other Wonderbolts agreed. There were so many of them that they could place those that had become bodies of Light into their saddlebags, where all their Poke Balls were kept.

"Mmmm..." Spitfire observed it all for a moment, seeing that while there were a lot of Wonderbolts here, the bodies of Light did beat them in numbers. But not by much. After all, it was only recently that all of these ponies and Pokemon have been captured so the abundance of Light Bodies wasn't too overwhelming. "Sure. We can do that. It's our only option."

"I'll keep 'em close to me," Applejack said, carrying a few of the bodies of Light. "I'll make sure that nothin' bad happens to 'em. As for all of ya'll get suited up."

"Suited up?" A pony said as Applejack looked over at all the defeated guards. Much like how she and the Wonderbolts stole some armour to disguise themselves, it was time for these ponies to do the same.

"Ya'll need to disguise yourselves. It's the only way y'all will get out of here safely. Once y'all are disguised, we'll head out and try and get ya'll outta here. As for all the Pokemon here..." For the Pokemon, it was much harder since they could wear any of the disguises here.

"That's another story..." Spitfire crossed her hooves, trying to think of something. She then looked over at one of the guards still conscious, eyeing her down. "You there!"

"Eeek!" She shuddered.

"Tell us a place where we can keep them safe for the time being. Anywhere away from here. Don't lie. Otherwise, I'll have Froslass do unspeakable things to you."

"Lass...!" Froslass got up in this pony's face, causing her to tremble.

"O-Okay, okay! I'll tell you!" The guard said, fearing for her life. "Ponyville! I heard Ponyville's a safe zone! The town is usually used for manufacturing and refining, but it's empty right now! The only ones there are the soldiers who are on standby and the workers!"

"Hm. That's it? That's what became of it in this universe? Pretty tame...You're not lying are you?" Spitfire narrowed her eyes as Froslass moved her hands closer, threatening to phase her hand through the pony's body and do unspeakable things.

"I-I'm not lying! I swear!"

"Hm. Alright. We'll give it a try." Spitfire nodded her head. "Froslass, return."

"Fros..." Froslass would return to her Poke Ball, and Spitfire would look at the guard.

"You're coming with us. Just in case you're lying, we'll have you show us the way."

"Y-Yes, ma'am!"

"Alright, everypony! Get everyone else suited up! We're leaving!" Spitfire ordered.

"Yes, ma'am!" With that, the ponies would get suited up, with the Wonderbolts helping them get the armour. The ones that have been turned into Light would be placed in the Wonderbolts' Saddlebags.

Soon, the door would be unsealed due to the present heat in the Solar Empire, the ice finally giving out. But that didn't matter, since the group was ready to leave.

"Alright, let's move out!" Spitfire ordered, and the group would begin moving out, with the guard leading the way.

Elsewhere in the castle, Sunrise Sparkle had returned to her base of command, overseeing the gateway issues that were being resolved at last. Now that they were online once more, they could focus on opening one for Daybreaker.

"We have gateways up and running at last. But it seems that her majesty isn't quite ready to return yet. At least not with the Solar Sword. Groudon and Kyogre are approaching." Sunrise Sparkle said while taking a seat. "We should be fine despite everything happening here. I've trapped Luna and Darkrai in another Dimension just to be sure."

"What about Zekrom, Commander? He's currently up there, frying so many of our ships that approach him."

"He's obviously doing it to ensure that the Solar Sword doesn't return. That high up is the perfect position for it to arrive. If he strikes the ship in its current condition, even the Solar Sword won't be durable enough to make it out of there safely." Sunrise replied. "But we can solve that. We'll give Zekrom a gift from another universe we have control of."

"About that...you should see this, commander. When we were trying to fix the gateways, we were having issues properly locking onto Universe 1. While doing so, we found something of great importance. It seems all the residents of Equestria from Universe 1 have entered Queen Pyrestar's Universe. Universe 6."

The secret hideout for all of them had been discovered, unfortunately. All those that were to be kept in Pyrestar's Universe until this conflict comes to an end have been found.

"So, that's where they've all been hiding," Sunrise smirked at this revelation. "Well, let's surprise them and show that they can't hide from us forever. Pyrestar's Universe has been up for grabs for a while now, so why not make this time the best time to make our move? I say we have Necrozma absorb all of them in that Universe. Of course, first, we have to assist Her Majesty with those two."

Universe 1. Johto. Out in the Wild.

Daybreaker and Necrozma watched as Groudon and Kyogre were approaching, with Groudon being the closest. Necrozma roared at them in the distance, more than eager to take their energy as well, just like how he did to all those who tried to stop him.

"Let's get a head start, why don't we? Necrozma! Prismatic Lasers!" Daybreaker was about to take advantage of the distance between the two Legendaries, unleashing a powerful Prismatic Laser at Groudon.

The beam struck Groudon, but the massive Pokemon managed to withstand it, only being staggered a bit as a barrage of lasers rained down on it. Groundon roared at these lasers striking it repeatedly, promptly stomping on the ground to erupt a wall of Earth, blocking the lasers.

Kyogre would simply use the motion of the water to block the lasers that came its way from afar, and the two Legendaries would make their move. After blocking the light, Groudon would finally go on the offensive.

The Continent Pokemon let out a bombastic roar before using Earthquake, stomping its foot once more. This time, the ground itself began to shatter, with cracks forming around the area. The cracks rapidly travelled across the land as golden shockwaves were erupting from them, gradually approaching Necrozma.

"Hmph. Not so fast." Daybreaker would use her magic to manipulate the sunlight, creating a barrier of light that surrounded her and Necrozma.

The shockwaves would reach the barrier, but they would be blocked by it, not being able to pass through. The barrier would then expand, the shockwaves being absorbed into the barrier. However, Groudon would add some pressure, using another one of its moments right away.

Precipice Blades.

Groudon's body glowed with the colours of lava, and then a series of incandescent sharp stones coated with lava sprang up from the shattered ground that it created. The blades rapidly moved, shattering the barrier Daybeaker made by piercing it.

Daybreaker gasped as her barrier broke, but not only that, her and Necrozma would both be struck by one of the blades. The tip of the stones struck beneath Daybreaker, the top edge triggering an immediate explosion that sent her and Necrozma flying.

"Agh!" Daybreaker grunted, the two being knocked back. After being knocked back, Groudon would keep up the pressure, using Lava Plume right afterwards. The Continent Pokemon sent an inferno of scarlet flames towards the duo, engulfing them in the fire.

"Necrozma, use Dragon Pulse!" Daybreaker bellowed as Necrozma quickly responded, firing a purple beam of draconic energy. The beam would strike the Lava Plume, the two attacks colliding with each other.

However, the Dragon Pulse would break through the Lava Plume, striking Groudon. The Continent Pokemon would be pushed back, but right away, it would respond with Solar Beam. Since the Sunlight was extra powerful thanks to its ability and Daybreaker's own magic, the Solar Beam was instant. More-so than ever.

"What?!" Daybreaker gasped, the beam was already fired. It was so quick that she had no time to react. The Solar Beam would strike Necrozma, and the Prism Pokemon would roar as the beam dragged him across the air. "Necrozma!" Daybreaker cried, seeing Necrozma being dragged across the air. However, despite being carried by it, Necrozma, with a bit of struggling, managed to absorb the beam into his body eventually, and the beam would stop.

After absorbing it, Necrozma would ascend before zooming in, deciding to get closer to Groudon. The Prism Pokemon would use Photon Geyser, firing a beam of light at the Continent Pokemon. Groudon immediately clashed with this attack by using Fire Blast.

A massive, fiery star-shaped blast of flames erupted from Groudon's mouth, and it would clash with the beam of light. The two attacks would struggle against each other, but the Fire Blast would break through the Photon Geyser, breaking the beam and pushing Necrozma back.

Right as Groudon finished the attack, it was struck from the side by a magical beam straight from Daybreaker's horn. The Solar Queen's horn would glow, and she would fire a series of beams at the Continent Pokemon, the beams striking the massive Legendary and pushing it back.

The beams would push Groudon back even further, and the Continent Pokemon would be knocked down to the ground. Once on the ground, Daybreaker tried restraining the Ground-Type, summoning massive fire chains from below the ground. The chains would wrap around Groudon, and they would constrict the Continent Pokemon, holding it in place.

"Now's your chance, Necrozma! Go and-" However, before Daybreaker could have Necrozma absorb Groudon, immediately, the Continent Pokemon was breaking free from its chains, surprising even Daybreaker.

"What?!"

Groudon would break free from the chains, and its body would glow with the colours of lava. The Continent Pokemon would then erupt a massive explosion of magma, and the chains would shatter. It had used Eruption, unleashing a radius-wide outburst of flames that soon engulfed Daybreaker and Necrozma.

The entire ground was soon flooded with heat and lava because of this attack, the surrounding area greatly changing as all the things Necrozma created here would be drowned out by the lava. Groudon got back up, breaking the last of the chains as the smoke began to clear. Well, for the most part.

Right now, the smoke was incredibly thick, being very much present now. Daybreaker was still present as well, clearing some of the smoke away from her as she managed to withstand the attack, but she did suffer some damage. "Urgh...!" She groaned, holding onto her head. This was just Groudon she had to deal with. Nevermind the fact that Kyogre was still approaching.

"Such strength...Even Mewtwo and Deoxys weren't this much of an issue." Daybreaker commented. "Unless...it's because of the Sun." It then clicked for the Solar Queen. As always, Groudon's ability was Drought, which would increase the power of Fire-Type moves as always. But coupled with the Sun that Daybreaker forced even though right now, it should technically be nightfall, Groudon was even stronger than before, its power managing to surpass Mewtwo in this instance.

"No wonder. That's why it's so powerful." Daybreaker kissed her teeth before looking at Groudon. "But I also get so many benefits from the Sun as well...I refuse to bring the Moon up. I won't allow it." Daybreaker would try another approach. It seemed that taking Groudon head-on wouldn't do right now, compared to all the other Pokemon she and Necrozma have gone up against.

Before she could come up with something, Kyogre attacked. Daybreaker gasped, seeing a massive stream of water coming from the side. Kyogre used Hydro Pump, and the stream would strike the Solar Queen, sending her flying.

"Gh!" Daybreaker grunted, being carried across the air. However, she would quickly recover, and she would use her magic to control the sunlight, creating a barrier of light. However, Kyogre would then keep up the attack, sending a Tidal Wave in her direction.

The wave would crash into the barrier, and the barrier would hold it back, but the water would begin to flood the area, and Daybreaker would have to fly up to avoid the water. Groudon and Kyogre, who don't usually get along a lot of the time, for this instance, decided to work together.

Groudon would use Solar Beam, and the Continent Pokemon would fire the attack at Daybreaker. The Solar Queen would gasp, seeing the beam coming her way. She would then use her magic to create a barrier of light, and the beam would strike the barrier, but it would break through, and the beam would strike Daybreaker, pushing her back.

Then there was Necrozma, who was still trying to recover from the Eruption. The Prism Pokemon would get up, and he would see the Solar Beam coming his way. He would try to dodge it, but he was too slow at the moment.

The Solar Beam would strike him, and the beam would carry him across the air, and the beam would fade. The Prism Pokemon would fall down to the ground, and he would groan, struggling to get back up.

"Necrozma!" Daybreaker called out, and she would try to help him, but Kyogre would keep her busy. The Sea Basin Pokemon would use Hydro Pump, and the stream of water would strike the Solar Queen, and the stream would carry her across the air, and the stream would fade.

Daybreaker would crash down to the ground, and she would get back up, but Kyogre would follow up with Ice Beam. The Solar Queen would gasp, seeing the beam coming her way. She would try and melt the beam, but it did not instantly melt when clashed with it with her own beam. However, the clash ended in a tie.

Daybreaker was starting to see how well Groudon and Kyogre worked together. And to think they are constantly at odds against each other. But for this instance, they were working together, and they were a force to be reckoned with.

"We're in a bit of a bind, aren't we, Necrozma?" Daybreaker looked at the Prism Pokemon, who had finally gotten back up. "These two are a different story. Which will make their loss all the more satisfying."

"Your Majesty. We see you are having issues with Groudon and Kyogre. Shall we interverne?" One of the ponies of the Solar Sword messaged her.

"No need. I have a response to the two them." Daybreaker took a deep breath, landing on top of an Earth Mound near the massive lake. She believed in her victory despite what was being thrown at her. "I believe it's time. Time for me to unleash Equestrian Wailord."

Daybreaker was about to do it. The Galaxy-sized Wailord she caught not too long ago as a way to be further fuel for Necrozma was about to be unleashed. Even her forces gasped at such a decision. Wailord was far too big to be out here. He needs to be in space for him to even fit.

"W-Wait, Your Majesty! You can't possibly be serious!"

"The absolute size of him will destroy the entire planet the second he arrives!" Reasonably, the were all worried. And since they were still here, Wailord's mere emergence would destroy them.

"I know that. But ever since I caught Equestrian Wailord, I was able to control his size. I can choose if I want to make him his original size. Or..." Daybreaker brought out the Poke Ball that contained Equestrian Walord. How about a size that matches that of Johto itself?!" Holding nothing back, Daybreaker threw the Poke Ball upwards, the item opening up.

"WAAAAAAAAAILOOOOOOOOOOOORD!"

The Poke Ball opened, and the Pokemon emerged. Equestrian Wailord. The size of the Pokemon was beyond massive. He rapidly expanded, causing Groudon to be pushed back immediately by this larger entity.

The Pokemon's size was beyond massive, and the Pokemon was even larger than the clouds themselves. His body was so large that it was blocking the Sun, casting a shadow over the entire area. Groudon was trying to push back Kyogre who kept growing until he would reach the size of Johto. His cosmic body spread across the land, the seas and skies and at this rate, any town, city or habitat that people and Pokemon in Johto live in will come crashing down.

The people of Johto were still dealing with the effects Necrozma left behind and now something far worse was coming. Clair, who was one of the people trying to temper the aggravated Pokemon would look in the distance, seeing a truly astronomical sight.

"What the...?!" Clair gasped, seeing the massive Wailord that was larger than the clouds themselves.

"W-What is that?!" A trainer exclaimed, looking up at the sky. No one could see Groudon from this distance but they could see Wailord's size as he was overtaking the sky itself. But at this moment, Groudon and by extension, Kyogre were trying to prevent him from growing even more.

All across Johto, the sight of Equestrian Wailord was seen by everyone, and they were all shocked, some even scared. But there was no time to be scared. Wailord was too big, and if he grows even more, he'll destroy everything in his path.

Kyogre's waves struggled to keep Wailord back, mostly because Wailord was still an aquatic Pokemon. The two Legendaries were doing their best, because if they don't and never succeeded, all of Johto will be destroyed. As the two of them put their all into it, a cosmic light with blinding capabilities expanded, enveloping them and the vast skies above in seconds.

As the journey continues.
