The land near Alola. A Night without a Moon.

Mew, Kartana and Pheromosa had arrived. Fully healed up, they were here to help their trainers, interrupting Dayastra's attack and even finding their way here to Alola, knowing where their trainers were. That last part was a usytery but all that mattered was that they were here and that was all.

"Everyone...Get to Solgaleo. No matter what, Necrozma can't absorb him." Twilight ordered, the Pokemon nodding. Twilight, Espeon, Cinccino, Togekiss, and Absol would run for him, the soldiers not letting them through. Dayastra would send down her army, stopping their path.

Twilight would cast a powerful beam, sending the soldiers back. However, another would charge, using his own magic to try and strike her. Absol would jump, intercepting the attack with his horn, shoving the soldier away. And with Kartana here, any beam would split in half.

"Pheromosa! Use Triple Kick!"

"Phero!" Phromosa dashed at high speed, faster than any soldier could react, striking at them. She delivered a staggering kick, shattering his armour and sending a shockwave that affected nearby troops.

"Kartana! Go for it! Leaf Blade"

"Od liiw! " With a flick of his arm, Kartana would unleash a barrage of slashes, each one striking the enemy in front of them. Their armour would be cut into pieces, their durability meaning nothing in the face of Kartana's strength.

"Mew! Use Psychic!"

"Eve, you too!"

Together, Espeon and Mew used their psychic powers to manipulate the ground, flinging boulders at the soldiers. They were hit and sent flying, some being knocked unconscious.

The group continued on their way towards Solgaleo who was seen up ahead, clashing with Necrozma. They ran as fast as their legs could carry them, with the soldiers trying to stop their path.

Solgaleo cried out as he crashed through an array of hills, sliding along the ground. Necrozma flew up, his wings spreading. as he would unleash Prismatic Lasers down on the Sunne Pokemon. Solgaleo was quick to recover, running as fast as he could to avoid the lasers. The beams hit the ground aggressively when trying to land on Solgaleo, leaving craters behind.

Solgaleo then fired back with a Flamethrower, aiming at the beast. But the fire would merely dissipate before it could touch him. Necrozma then used the power of Diancie, shooting diamond projectiles at Solgaleo.

He would be forced to run once more, avoiding the diamonds. Some of them did graze him, but his armor was tough enough to resist the attack He growled, charging towards Necrozma. Necrozma would fly back, dodging the charge and retaliating with a Shadow Claw. He slashed at Solgaleo, damaging him a bit.

Solgaleo promptly replied with a Zen Headbutt, the two connecting heads. The impact created a shockwave that blasted through the air, a few rocks and pebbles flying in the air.

Necrozma's mask glowed, creating a massive wave of darkness. From his body, the heat of both Groudon and Entei were unleashed upon Solgaleo, engulfing him in an inferno.

Solgaleo could withstand those flames, pushing Necrozma away as the two distanced themselves from each other. Solgaleo could clearly see that Necozma had a great advantage due to all of that power and more of it was starting to show. Solgaleo didn't think he could win but he at least knew he could hold Necrozma back for a while until something was done.

Using Sunsteel Strike, Solgaleo would charge at Necrozma, the black beast not moving an inch. It was waiting for the right moment to counter, and once Solgaleo was close enough, he would swing his arm, a giant crescent made of pure light flying at him.

Solgaleo would crash into the ground, his armor being chipped. He looked up, seeing that his opponent was not done, and soon Necrozma would summon a great pillar of ice, trapping Solgaleo within.

However, all it took was Solgaleo roaring to shatter the ice. Despite breaking free, Solgaleo knew he could not keep this up forever. As the sun was about to set, his power was steadily decreasing. He had to defeat Necrozma as soon as possible, but his attacks weren't enough.

Necrozma began ascending, preparing to use yet another Prismatic Lasers. Solgaleo would have to brace himself for this, however, the Prism Pokemon was soon interrupted by an attack he never saw coming. At first, it looked like Mew was approaching him, but Mew quickly transformed into a Wailord, crashing his enlarged body into him.

The size of Wailord would push Necrozma up, smashing his body against the dome. The dome rippled from the impact, the entire thing shaking. "WAAAAAAAALOOOOOOORD!"

Necrozma looked at his attacker, the Wailord transforming into a Tyranitar, crashing its heavy body onto him. Necrozma's body was driven into the dome once more, causing cracks to form. This was also a way to break Dayastra's dome and grant freedom to those traps.

"Solgaleo!" Twilight ran up to him, aiming her hoof into the air, focusing on the spot that was craced. "That way!" She ordered, Solgaleo nodding, the Pokemon charging up an attack. "Use Sunsteel Strike!"

With all of his might, Solgaleo charged forward, his body shining and blazing as his horns became coated with light. He would leap up, jumping a considerable height, his head striking the dome.

And once his body hit the dome, the area was illuminated in a blinding light. Everyone had to cover their eyes, but they could see the crack was becoming bigger, the dome slowly shattering. Dayastra caught up, attempting to stop them, only for Twilight to fly in front of her, blocking her path

The cracks in the dome would continue to spread, growing in size. Eventually, a chunk of it would break off, the dome shattering and revealing the outside world. There, Twilight could see the people and Pokemon cheering. On top of that, Necrozma would be sent flying into the air after the dome shattered, spiralling for a while before regaining control.

Solgaleo took this opportunity to fly off, and the group, including Daybreakers forces, would follow him. Necrozma would fly high up, looking down at everyone. The Pokemon would look up, ready for the battle to commence. Twilight was ready to follow them, only for Dayastra to grab her.

"You're not going anywhere!" Dayastra yelled, the Princess struggling in her grasp.

"Let go of me!"

"You're ruining everything! I can do without reaching Solgaleo! I'll let everyone else handle it! You on the other hand need to be dealt with! Right here, and right now!" Dayastra declared, Twilight feeling a burning sensation around her neck.

Twilight's eyes flashed as she felt the pain as she used her magic to let out an outburst. She launched her and Dayastra far away from each other. Daybreaker and Twilight were sent flying off at great speeds away from this area.

They landed near a forest, their bodies crashing through many trees and even causing an explosion. Their bodies slid across the ground, the smoke clearing and allowing them to see each other.

Daybreaker stood, glaring intensely at the princess. Twilight got up, facing the villainess.

"You fool...You only distanced yourself from your Pokemon. Your only way of defending yourself." Dayastra scoffed as Twilight didn't plan to distance herself from everyone else. "Oh well. It saves me the trouble of having to deal with so many interruptions. Now it's just you and me. Face me, alone!"

"Okay." Twilight answered, prompting Daybreakers eyebrows to rise. "If it means I can defeat you, then so be it." She was not afraid. However, she did not that Dayastra was stronger than her naturally, making this far harder than it needed to be. All Twilight had to do was her best. And more importantly, ensure that everyone else succeeds.

The Solar Sword.

Back at the Solar Sword, Ash rushed through the halls and rooms of the ship. He was going straight for the most vital room here. The control room, where he could expect to encounter Daybreaker. Cobalion was still beside him, cutting down all machines that tried to stop them.

"We're close. I can feel her Aura more and more!" Ash exclaimed seeing a pair of doors coming up. A large and heavy one. Ash stopped in front of them, looking up and knowing exactly what he needed to do.

"Let me clear the path." Cobalion said, the blade ready to slash the door, only for the door to open. The two were surprised to find no one there. No guards, no machines, no traps. Ash couldn't even sense any Auras. This obviously wasn't the main control room but it was far too quiet in here.

"I can't tell if this is a trap or not." Ash uttered.

"Stay on guard." Cobalion advised. The two were alert and cautious, their eyes scanning the area. There wasn't much to see here. It was a fairly empty and dull place, almost as if it was a storage room. "What is this place?"

Ash was just as clueless as Cobalion, but something was telling him this was an important room. Not for any reasons related to technology or anything like that. As they stood side by side with each other, it revealed itself. It was indeed a trap and magically disguised one too.

"This feeling...Something from another Dimension is coming!" Cobalion felt it, turning his head instantly. Beings from other dimensions appeared into reality, twisting it. They had a solar appearance to them, their shapes resembling that of tunnels, the ends shaped into a spiral.

They were not the only ones, however. Other creatures of different shapes and sizes would emerge. A variety of monsters and creatures would appear in the room, each one unique in their own way, each coming from a different dimension while resembling stars.

"Pikachu, use Iron Tail!"

"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu jumped up, swinging his tail at an enemy, his tail glowing white. It was a direct hit, but the enemy wasn't hurt at all. It merely shrugged off the attack, using its tentacles to knock Pikachu away. "P-Pika!"

Cobalion would use Sacred Sword, cutting the enemies in half. Once again, they were uninjured. Ash realized these enemies were immune to physical attacks. But what about attacks From other means?

"No good. Physical attacks won't do. In that case...Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"

"Pika!" His tail and cheeks sparked, unleashing powerful bolts of lightning, zapping the creatures. It pushed them back, but only for a short while. However, there was clearly a weakness to attacks like Thunderbolt.

"So, those type of attacks are the key. A shame I'm more of a physical battler." Cobalion commented.

"Don't worry. I'll take care of them." Ash grinned as this was up his alley. "Maybe you can focus on defence."

"Hmph. That I can do." Cobalion smirked.

Rainbow Dash found herself in a labyrinth, having to use her speed to find the right paths. Her speed was far greater than any of the soldiers she faced, leaving behind a trail of afterimages.

She flew over an army of them, kicking the first two soldiers, and slamming her forehooves against a few. Her swiftness was beyond the soldier's comprehension, as they couldn't comprehend what was happening.

"Haha! Too slow!" She taunted, flying past them. They fired at her, the Pegasus flying around the projectiles.

"Stop her! Stop her!" One soldier screamed, Rainbow Dash dodging a light beam from another. She did a somersault in the air before having the beams hit the doors, blowing a hole through it. She took advantage of that, flying through and entering the next room.

But as she kept moving, right around the corner, something nearly caught her off guard. A flash of lightning a wire flew by her.

"Gah!" Rainbow Dash barely had time to react, the wire grazing her cheek. She lost her momentum, falling on the floor and rolling before stopping. "Ugh...that was a close one."

"It won't be the last." Rainbow turned her head, finding a certain pegasus with a smug expression. It was Captain Spitfire yet again along with her Xurkitree.

"You again...and your ugly face." Rainbow remarked.

"Ouch. Doesn't that apply to your own Spitfire then?" Captain Spitfire smirked while adjusting her glasses. "This is as far as you go, Rainbow Dash. It's the final stretch after all and my fleet is giving it their all out there. I'll do the same here, by making sure you never go further than this."

"As if!" Rainbow got back up, preparing to bring out a Poke Ball. The Pokemon she wanted to choose was clear as day. By throwing it forward, she summoned Zeraora.

"Zeraora!"

"Ugh, her again?" Captain Sptifire groaned. "I'm growing tired of seeing your face too. You shouldn't even have her out for this battle. She failed to defeat me back at Vast Poni Canyon. What hope does she have this time? Even you should be aware of that, right?"

"I'm not one to break promises. Zeraora still wants her payback and I promised that she'd get it. If I don't give her her shot, then I wouldn't be a very good friend now would I?" Rainbow Dash retorted.

"Ze!"

"Alright then. After this, I'm heading back out with fleet and ensuring Necrozma gets what he wants. Just like how we will always make sure Daybreaker gets what she wants. She will bring order and justice. She will show the universe true peace and harmony. That's what I believe."

"Yeah, whatever." Rainbow Dash scowled, her and Zeraora not buying her nonsense at all. "I'm feeling some payback myself so this is gonna be good for me and Zeraora! Ready?!"

"Zera!"

"Then, I'll go first! Zeraora, use Plasma Fists!"

"Use Xurkitree, Power Whip!"

Zeraora dashed, her fists igniting with electricity, her paws and claws glowing. She was going in for a melee attack, her opponent not flinking. He had his own Pokemon charge forward, whipping her.

Zeraora crossed her arms, taking the whip and shoving her claws through it. It shook the wire, electricity coursing through. It made her opponent flinch, sparks flying.

"Use Close Combat, Zeraora!"

"Zera! Ze! Ra!"

Zeraora leaped back, her claws glowing white. She unleashed a barrage of punches, her fists connecting with her foe's body. She kept hitting, each strike creating a shockwave.

Xurkitree cried out, trying his best to endure her relentless blows. Captain Spitfire watched the whole thing, smirking at the display. She could tell Zeraora was strong, but the difference was clear.

"Xurkitree, use Dazzling Gleam!"

"What?!" Rainbow Dash's eyes widened.

"Ze?!" Zeraora stepped back, a powerful flash blinding her for a moment. She could hear the wire whipping, slashing her multiple times. She winced in pain, gritting her teeth. On top of that, the rays of Dazzling Gleam would bombard her.

"Zera! Ze!" She snarled, shaking the pain off and dashing once more.

"Plasma Fists!"

"Close Range! Use Power Whip!"

"Xurkiiii!" The two Pokemon clashed, the energy and darkness surrounding Xurkitree's claw. They both were in a heated duel, neither one letting up. Their hits were heavy, sending ripples across this room. Zeraora ducked a swing while Xurkitree parried an uppercut. They went at it for a while in this room, seeming equal.

That is until Spitfire threw something out. A Rift Vial. It landed on Xurkitree's body, a rift forming and engulfing him. It gave him a huge increase in speed and strength. But also, access to a move he cannot learn at all.

Xurkitree would suddenly use Meteor Mash, striking Zeraora hard. "Zera?! Ora!!!"

"Zeraora!" Rainbow Dash watched as her Pokemon was knocked away. Xurkitree did not stop there. Continuing to use Meteor Mash, he moved his wires forward, striking the helpless Pokemon. The wall behind her cracked and shattered.

As this happened, Xurkitree used one of his wires to grab Rainbow Dash, slamming her against the wall and pinning her. He held onto both of them, restraining them against the walls of this room.

"Ugh." Rainbow grunted, trying her best to fight back. "Get...off!"

"Shock her!" Spitfire ordered. The Ultra Beast charged an electric blast, his body glowing blue. The electricity would flow into his wires, shooting it at her.

"AHH!! Rainbow Dash screamed, feeling all those volts attack her body. She felt every last volt and spark course through her entire body. She struggled, her body twitching.

"Z-Ze!" Zeraora was horrified by this. She tried breaking free from the wires, refusing to see Rainbow Dash take any damage.

"Again!" Spitfire shouted. Xurkitree would shock her once more, sending more volts within the pegasus.

"Ngghh!" Rainbow Dash groaned, raising her head and looking at the Xurkitree. This reminded her of the last time they fought. When her friends saved her.

"Ora...Ze!" The Thunderclap Pokemon grit her teeth, trying to break free once more. Xurkitree kept this up, torturing Rainbow Dash more and more.

"Even after all that talk, you still don't have what it takes to win. Do you know why you'll never beat the Solar Empire?" Spitfire spoke while watching Rainbow Dash being electrocuted. "You can never beat us because of what drives us. You can see as an empire bent on control and destruction, sure. But the reason for our strength is something you can figure out.

"W-What...?" Rainbow Dash weakly said, her body twitching.

"It's because we believe in Daybreaker. We believe in her ideals and the vision she has. We want her dream to become reality. Not just for the sake of compliance and compromise. After all, everyone at the Solar Empire knows the reason for her motives. After what she's been through, it ended up strengthening us and bringing us together.

"..."

"In our universe, friendship failed us, but we never lost respect and admiration. All of us feel for Daybreaker, experiencing loss of our own. Thanks to that war, we all lost a lot. The way things were just wouldn't cut it. Only by going through those hard times could we become something greater.

"You..."

"Our beliefs are strong, our hearts are strong, and our resolve is absolute. We won't let anything stop us and we're not afraid to crush those who oppose us. Can you say the same about your universe? You grow stronger with friendship, but have you ever considered what would happen if it fails you like it did us? What then?"

"I-"

"That's the thing about you. All of you. Your belief in friendship is so strong, you ignore all the potential that exists outside of it. You can't possibly think that's the only way to achieve strength. That's a flawed view, a naive and short-sighted one. The bigger picture is where it's at. Which is why we'll win. No matter what."

"...I get what you're saying..." Rainbow Dash said weakly. "But still...that's no excuse to take the light away from others...I know what you're all going for. We've come close to experiencing a huge loss. More than once. Some of my friends already have...But the reason we're so strong is because of friendship and everything that comes with it. I'll admit, I've thought the same thing too. Maybe other ways could be better. Maybe a different approach would've been better. But...with who I'm surrounded with and everything that's happened, I wouldn't trade it for the universe. For any universe. And I've got new friends that I wouldn't give up ever"

"Zera..." Zeraora uttered in amazement at Rainbow Dash's words.

"Hmph. I figured as much." Spitfire sighed. "You'll never change your views. I knew it was pointless to try and get you to understand. In that case, there's no point in trying to convince you. Oh, well. Let's finish this then."

"It isn't over yet..." Rainbow Dash's eyes would slowly close as she was starting to lose consciousness. "Right...Zeraora...?"

"Ora..." Zeraora clenched her teeth, digging deep into her power. She refused to give in. Her body glowed and sparked as the electricity flowing through her was beginning to overwhelm her. As always, her power was tied to her emotions. And usually, she would feel a great rage that would over her. But not this time.

The electricity stopped, the wires becoming electrified and shocking Xurkitree instead.

"Eh?!"

"Ze...Ze...Raaaaa!!"

"W-What's this?!!"

Zeraora's body sparked and blazed, her fur turning golden yellow. All that rage that was usually within her was being turned into something else. A source of strength and power, fueling her.

"Zera...Ra...ORAAAA!!!"

The lightning was released, the room shaking from the sheer might. Xurkitree found himself being launched back along with Spitfire, the captain landing on her side.

"Ugh..." She slowly got up, her eyes widening.

"Zera..." Zeraora's aura flared up, her eyes shining gold. All that electricity within her was at its peak, her body radiating a tremendous amount of power. But even though she turned all her rage into something positive, she was still furious for what Spitfire had done.

"Where did this come from...? Xurkitree! Get ready!"

"Ze...Zeraaa!" Zeraora would battle without Rainbow Dash, but still doing it for her. In a flash, she appeared in front of Xurkitree, surprising him. The wire-beast was met with a barrage of swift attacks, the electricity coursing through him and causing him to flinch.

"Meteor Mash!" Spitfire yelled. He swung his fist, hoping to hit her, only for her to duck under his fist and strike him again.

"Ze..." She raised her tail and slammed it down, unleashing a massive shockwave that pushed her opponent back. "Ra!!"

She fired a massive wave of lightning, the force blowing through the wall, the impact shattering a large portion of the wall and exposing the outside. Xurkitree was hit, the electricity frying him.

"Ora-ora-ora!" Zeraora would follow up with Close Combat, becoming faster than ever.

"No!" Spitfire couldn't do anything. The Pokemon was simply too fast. She tried shooting her down with a light spear that was on the floor nearby, only for Zeraora to deflect the beam. She jumped, dodging the blasts before slamming her fist into his face, sending him back.

"Ze-Ze-ZE-ZE-RA!"

"This can't be!" Spitfire barked, unable to do anything else in this scenario. Each of Zeraora's hits were powered by her bond with Rainbow Dash and all she's done for her. The friendship that the two formed was a powerful force. So powerful, the Captain couldn't even imagine it.

"Do it..." Rainbow Dash would gain some consciousness, opening her eyes and speaking. "Zeraora."

"Zeraoraaaaaaaa! Oraaaaa!" This final hit was everything she had, the last blow slugging Xurkitree's face.

The room shook once more, the ceiling and walls collapsing. The ground crumbled beneath them, the entire structure giving way. The whole ship was breaking apart, and so was the other ships around it.

The electricity grew to great levels, soon reaching Spitfire who cried out. "N-NO WAY!" Her voice echoed as the large of the ship would crumble. The lightning died down asZeraora's paw was smoking. The Xurkitree had passed out, his body falling into the void.

"O-Orrrr...raaa." Her fur turned back to its regular color as the Pokemon collapsed, the power having taken its toll.

"Z-Zera...Ora..." Rainbow Dash was fading out, but was still able to move. Even though both of them were down, they each had smiles on their faces, knowing that they had won this fight.

Spitfire laid there unconscious as well, her glasses off and her body twitching from all that lightning. She was unable to move at all and the same goes for Xurkitree. They had lost and would probably never wake up for a while.

"It can't be that strong...Can it?" Spitfire weakly said. After all that she's said, Rainbow Dash and Zeraora emerged victorious. While things were different in her universe, they did not apply here and she got a rude awakening as she passed out.

Captain Spitfire was down, meaning her fleet would be crippled without its captain to manage things. The confrontation against the Solar Empire kept heating up, but near that rising heat was the climax. Very soon, Daybreaker may be the one to feel the pressure at this rate.

As the journey continues.
