The Human World. Camp Everfree. Afternoon.

Back at Camp, Sonata and Aria had arrived at the lake, receiving a call from Adagio. But when they arrived, they found nothing and no one, making them confused. They even checked the shore, finding nothing.

"Well, she said the lake. Why are we even here if she's not here? That makes no sense." Sonata complained.

"Maybe she got lost or something?" Aria shrugged. "Or...Maybe she's taking a swim in there. Probably pretty deep in."

"She did say she was with Red." Sonata then had a sly grin form on her face. "Ya think they went down there together? Not exactly romantic, but I can't knock it~"

"I doubt being deep underwater with someone else who can't breathe is the most romantic thing in the world." Aria said, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, but if it was you and Paul, you wouldn't be complai-AAAGH!" Sonata was quickly cut off by Aria grabbing her face, blushing as she forced the Siren into the water. "Ariaaaaaaa!" Sonata sunk into the deep waters, slowly reaching the bottom and coming face to face with something strange.

"...Is this a tree?" She saw something like a tree, only it was underwater, having the form of an oak tree and looked rather peculiar. "This isn't normal. This can't be right!" She said to herself before diving into it. She swam to the depths, being deep in the lake as she spotted an underwater cave system that led deep within. "Oooh...Looks like a fun spot for some underwater cave diving."

But as she looked at the cave system, she saw that it was suddenly starting to fade away, slowly disintegrating. Her eyes widened, but she was immediately startled once she saw Adagio swimming out of it before it vanished. Sonata grimaced as Adagio bumped into her.

The Siren quickly swam upward, exiting out of the water, taking a deep gasp as she fell back and sat down, slightly exhausted from all that swimming. Aria had noticed that, turning her head as she heard Adagio. "Adagio!? Are you alright?!" She asked, walking over and offering to help her up.

Adagio breathed a few times before sitting up and shaking her head. "Red..." She grunted for a moment. "Red's back in there...!"

"What happened to Red?!" Aria went to hold her big sister up. Adagio would explain every single thing she heard and witnessed there. She then helped Adagio get away from the lake, taking her somewhere else to recover. But the real question was if that area could be accessed again.

Speaking of which, Gaea Everfree, while in control of all these vines and thorns, also had control over the plants from the Gemstone Cavern. They had the power of the Gem Dust within them and thus she used her magic on it, sending out an array of roots, vines and plants to make this entire lake their new territory.

It wouldn't be just the lake but the area that surrounds the lake as well. If the lake was taken over, the area around it would be covered by a forest. In a matter of seconds, the water itself was being poisoned, changing in color as a purple tint covered it, spreading to every single inch of water.

As soon as that happened, many of the campers saw this and backed away. They didn't want anything to do with it. However, it wouldn't be just the lake as Gaea Everfree's roots were growing underground, reaching to other bodies of water like rivers and the ponds in the forest.

The same poison and color was present in there, infecting every body of water in this region. From the water itself, all kinds of new plants would spring to life, forming out of the water and springing to life. Many new species of plants that the campers had never seen before, plants that were capable of so many things.

Many plants would even form into animal-like shapes, but not quite as many as there was in the cavern. This plant life would start to spread around the area. Trees and many plants were starting to sprout, even forming around the main cabins, getting so close and so invasive to them that many campers ran away in fear of this strange new threat that was attacking their area.

The water itself started to form into a bright green glow, turning a dark shade of purple with that green tint as well, and even had an ethereal blue aura to it. But in all the water that was now covered with this plant, something happened to it. Something strange, something terrifying and something so vile and disgusting that it had the ability to cause something to occur that no one had seen before.

This dark water started to rise up, taking on a more humanoid shape. From the ground, Gaea Everfree's magic was causing the plant to create plant-like life that was humanoid and would emerge out of the water that now had a mind of its own. These humanoid plants looked so much like humans, but were actually plant-like beings.

Some would have bark on them and some would have viney limbs. It wasn't like there were thousands of them but they were just as threatening. A plant had formed, one that had the ability to turn into a plant-like humanoid that resembled a human and would cause the plants to do so. These humanoid plant creatures could only move so much. It's not like they were that flexible or quick.

"Oh, man! What's that?!" Ash and his friends noticed this from a distance and saw all that plant-life. But in the middle of all this, Gaea Everfree herself ascended, having a large tree bark elevate her. Everyone watched as Gaea Everfree stood before them all, looking down on those she aimed to control.

"Humans! Pokemon!" She spoke up. "All of you! With this sight, it spells the day you all become a part of my forest. A part of Everfree. It is here, on this day, that all of you will be turned into my loyal subjects! Everyone shall become part of the Everfree Forest. Not just this place, but everyone! You are free to enjoy your camp activities as always, but in true peace. The whole world will know peace. So says I. Gaea Everfree!"

"G-Gaea Everfree?! That Legend is real?!" Rarity gasped as she and the others who weren't from here, including the campers themselves, saw her before their very eyes. Gaea Everfree cackled a little as she started descending, reaching the ground below and spreading out her arms as she unleashed an array of seeds from the plant life that sprouted from her.

Campers were terrified as Sci-Twi held onto Ash's arm, intimidated by her presence and what she could do. Ash wasn't frightened, but he did have a slight glare at this being. But Gaea didn't even bother attacking or anything like that.

"You don't have to be afraid. Why be afraid of peace?" Gaea spoke after descending down and slowly approaching them, arms still spread. "Perhaps my appearance terrifies you? It shouldn't. If you look very closely, you cee the resemblance between me and your Camp Director."

"Miss Gloriosa?" Sunset gasped when looking at Gaea Everfree's face. She had to take a moment to observe, but Gaea had some of Gloriosa's features, like her eyes, and she even looked somewhat similar in figure. Gaea was right. The resemblance between them was uncanny, though a little too uncanny to be just coincidence.

"She was against my way for a while, but that is no longer the case. Now, she's on my side. Together, we can cultivate our Everfree. How about I show you her new self." One of the plants would open up, revealing Gloriosa, but with a different appearance.

Sunset and Sci-Twi couldn't believe it. Their friends couldn't believe it. Just like how Sunset once became a She-Demon, the same has happened to Gloriosa Daisy. The camp director's attire had changed a bit, becoming a combination between a greenish-grey robe and a dark-green dress that resembled the colours of trees, bushes and even plants.

Her skin was now a dark shade of pink, leaning towards purple, a green aura emitting from her. Her eyes were similar to Gaea Everfree's but her hair was now fully blue, losing its original colour. She even wore a green dress that looked to be made of leaves. This was no longer Gloriosa Daisy, but another Gaea Everfree.

"She's much better this way. No longer do we have to argue and be at odds with each other. She will be my most trusted and loyal companion, and so will everyone else."

The girls of Canterlot High didn't know how to feel. It was strange seeing Gloriosa Daisy become an entirely different person right in front of them. And since they now how She-Demons can be, they could imagine what Gloriosa was like in this state.

"I can see the fire in one of your eyes." Gaea said, mainly looking at Ash as he didn't show any sign of being afraid. "But that is only natural. But what is more unnatural is your resistance to the magic. What a powerful energy you have. What a powerful Aura."

"What's your deal? I don't know who you are, but you're messing up the camp here!" Ash exclaimed.

"Did you not hear me earlier? Everything will be perfect here once I make everything Everfree. Nothing to worry about." Gaea said, showing them a small smile. "But I can see that you might be a difficult one. All 8 of you." She added, now looking at Sunset's friends. "But I can handle that. After all, nothing a good camp activity can't solve."

Gaea Everfree clapped her hands. This caused some vines to rise from the ground, shooting towards Ash's group. The vines took on different shapes, some having hands, others having different limbs. All of them were about to ensnare Sunset's group and the campers.

"Pikachu! Use Iron Tail!" Ash commanded.

"Chu...Pika!" Pikachu, with an incredible swing of its tail, smashed the vines in one swipe. But that wasn't enough to stop more from appearing. And Pikachu didn't even manage to take down all of them as one was able to snatch Pikachu from behind, carrying the electric type and restraining him.

"Chaaa~!" Pikachu struggled to free himself, using its electricity, but even his own electricity would cause his captor to release him. Just then, one of the newly created plants would ascend from the ground and make a loud roar that caught everyone's attention. It had a body similar to a Venus Fly Trap and would keep ascending from the ground.

"For your first, Camp Activity, issued by me..." Gaea grinned as the massive plant unleashed a magical dust from its head, spreading it all around. Ash, the others and all of the campers, except Gaea and the new Gloriosa Daisy, began to choke on it. "The first step is to join the Everfree Forest. Be embraced by it. Then...we will have a lot more fun."

Sunset Shimmer was already starting to feel the effects. Her friends were all doing their best to resist. Gaea Everfree just grinned at the sight before her as the effects would begin to occur. She could tell it was only a matter of time before they all became a part of her Everfree.

Gloriosa Daisy's mind, however, was in conflict with what Gaea Everfree was trying to do. But Gaea would use her powers to try and get rid of those thoughts as she continued her task. The same could be said for Sunset's friends as well. Even the campers and other Pokemon. The more Gaea focused her attention on Ash's group, the stronger her mind-altering ability would be.

Sunset Shimmer was trying to resist as well, but even she felt herself slipping, unable to keep herself under control. "If only...If only I could be Daydream again..." She grunted as her mind began to become hazy and lose sight of her thoughts and focus. She began to have difficulty speaking. "Keep yourself together."

But this dust did more than enter their senses. It started changing the area around them, turning their surroundings into an ever-changing mess. All of this caused the campers to be in a panic, having no idea what to do in a situation like this.

Ash and the others felt it. All of it.

"D-Dragonite!" Ash would hold a Poke Ball out, throwing it to unless Dragonite eas soon as possible.

"Dragonite!"

"Hurricane!" Ash bellowed.

"Dra...!" Dragonite flapped her wings and started creating a hurricane. The powerful wind had been sent in every direction, and from that Hurricane, the dust would be fended off, vanishing in an instant. It didn't just keep it away, but the hurricane itself would affect the plant life in the area, tearing apart the plants that were being controlled by Gaea Everfree, with the large Venus Fly Trap that had released the dust being ripped to shreds.

The wind was so strong, so intense, so powerful that the whole lake had been disturbed. All the plants that came from there began to fly and were destroyed. The Hurricane that was made was strong enough to reach every corner of the entire area. This, as a result, caused the Everfree plants to become withered, lose their colors, their green leaves being lost in the wind and the plants themselves crumbling, with Gaea Everfree's plants becoming one with the Hurricane, all being taken by the wind as they were shredded to bits.

But as the Hurricane spread across the land, a blue energy had been unleashed, reaching the Hurricane and changing its shape, causing the Hurricane itself to transform, but in an unexpected way. Dragonite could see the plants and the Hurricane, with her eyes widening as it was becoming a different monster altogether.

"Pointless." Gaea smirked. But as she smiled, she noticed that the huge cluster of plants beneath her started lighting up. "Hm?" Looking down, a strange orange light was coming from it, prompting everyone else to stare as well. All eyes were on the cluster, wondering what it could even be.

And that's when it happened.

A blazing energy burst from the cluster, obliterating a plethora of plants as a strong outburst of fire appeared in the cluster, causing an array of plants and the ground that Gaea Everfree was standing on to collapse as she was forced to back away, levitating back. She hissed, feeling the intense heat.

The orange energy then started to form, rising from the crater as a familiar energy emerged. Gaea Everfree, with her glowing eyes, recognized the energy and immediately knew who was going to rise up. "...Hang on...It can't be?!"

It was Red and his Charizard.

Charizard managed to break free, having enough time to build up his energy, releasing it into the surrounding environment with all of his strength and energy, using his incredible might to shatter all of those vines that ensnared them.

"Red!" Sunset had a bright smile on her face as Gaea Everfree went hurtling through the air, her body soon crashing in the distance of this large camp, ending up elsewhere.

Red would walk forward, his head feeling a bit dizzy from being trapped within those plants for a while now. "Man, that was awesome, Red!" Ash said to his counterpart while running over to him. "I didn't even know you were in there!"

"That attack seemed to have held her back for now." Sunset added before looking at Sci-Twi. "I bet with a plan we'll be able to do even better than that."

Sci-Twi, though feeling the effects, she shook it off before speaking up. "If we have an idea that will take her out for good. Right now, there are all these plants she left behind. Some of the campers are becoming infected with it. That can be bad if they stay here too long." She pointed to a camper who had already been infected. His skin was becoming green with a shade of dark-pink, a green aura surrounding him as his eyes turned yellow with purple pupils, slowly losing his original self. "They could all turn into those plant monsters she spoke of, and she can even control them too!"

"Worse. They could all become Demons like how I became once." Sunset pointed out. "Although, I wish I could become Daydream Shimmer again. I wouldn't even mind help from Midnight Sparkle. But ever since they split from us and became separate beings, Twilight and I can't tap into magic like we used to." She added with a frown, clenching her fists as she tried to focus her energy but all she managed to do was sparkle.

"Either way, we need to try something otherwise we'll all become Alter-Egos of ourselves." Sci-Twi warned.

"No need to worry. Thanks to Red, we've got time. Let's pull off a huge plan." Ash put his hands together, grinning. "But I say it's something that involves everyone. We're gonna put all our heads together for this one!"

Gaea Everfree groaned, feeling te effects of Charizard's attack as she crashed into the ground, forming a large crater from the impact. Her clothes and skin were covered in scratches but they'd soon fade, allowing her to sit up and look at where she had landed.

She saw nothing but a camp ground and a camp cabin in the distance, one that wasn't close enough. It seemed as if she had landed somewhere near a different area from the camp. It took a moment but Gaea realized she had been kicked from her own camp grounds, landing in the nearby forest area and was quite far.

"Foolish brats, how dare you!" She grunted. She then stood up, ready to head back to where she was and finish this battle once and for all. But in her mind, she wondered if she were to take some more Rift Energy, would she be able to overcome them? All she had to do was head back to the lake where it was first found and obtain more.

The She-Demon would begin to float back to her campground, having her body ascend through the air with a powerful and impressive flight ability that made her rise through the forest canopy and into the skies above it. The lake was the biggest thing here, allowing her to easily find it. It has been a whole year since that spot of Rift Energy was last seen, but it was still present due to how Rift Energy can regenerate itself.

"Excellent." She noticed the small spot of it. "Very well then. I'll give them an even greater camp activity for this one. They want to deny my Everfree? So be it. I'll show them." She chuckled, approaching it, hands outstretched and about to grasp the energy for her own purposes.

Her branches and hands dug into the Rift Energy, the cosmic powers flowing through, and began to take it in. A massive amount was taken, but at this point, Gaea Everfree felt that nothing would stop her. She even decided that it was time for the final step as the energy would reach every part of her body, embracing the Rift Energy. She would see her goal through as the journey continues.
