My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Great Battle Between Friends
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Canterlot. Equestria League. Day.
The battle between Ash and Celestia continues. So far, Ash has managed to take down Celestia's Kommo-o, leaving her with just 5 Pokemon. And at this moment, the Equestria League Stadium was a massive pool due to Dracovish filling it with water.
"Underwater or not, this won't slow us down. Arcanine, use Flare Blitz!"
"Arc!" Arcanine would light up his body, summoning flames even in all of this water, his body enveloped by the fire. He would then leap off the ground, diving into the water. He was approaching Dracovish at great speed, his flames creating a trail behind him.
"Dracovish, dodge it and use Water Gun!"
"Co!" Dracovish would dive out of the way, avoiding the flames. "Viiish!" Now that it was in its natural environment, Dracovish was able to move far faster than it was when it was on land, swimming through the water at incredible speeds. It would pull its head back and use Water Gun, aiming the attack at Arcanine.
"Arca!" Arcanine, despite the speed of Flare Blitz, was not as quick as Dracovish. The Water Type was able to swim circles around him, making him a very hard target to hit. He would be constantly bombarded with blasts of water, the flames on his body flickering in and out. "Arcanine!"
"No good...!" Celestia narrowed her eyes, knowing that Arcanine was at a massive disadvantage here.
"Yeah! You got it, Dracovish!" Ash was all the way into this, his eyes bright with excitement. "Now, use Fishious Rend!"
"Rend...DRACO!" Dracovish would charge through the water, swimming right at Arcanine. The prehistoric Pokemon would use its jaws to grab hold of Arcanine and clamp them shut, biting him.
"C-Canine!" Arcanine grimaced, struggling against the attack, but the bite was incredibly strong, dealing a large amount of damage.
"I won't let you go down like this, Arcanine! Use Thunder Fang on yourself!"
"Ca...Arcanine!" Arcanine would electrocute his fangs, opening his mouth as much as he could and bite down on himself. Specifically, he connected his fangs together, causing a powerful outburst of electricity, electrocuting Dracovish.
"Viii...Dracovish!!" The electricity shocked Dracovish's body, causing the Water-Dragon Type to release its grip, flailing in the water. But it did more than that. The electricity reacted to the entire pool of water, spreading out and electrifying the entire place.
"Whoa!" Ash and Pikachu, and most of the audience could only gasp. Dracovish would be shocked multiple times from every direction, the electricity bouncing around, striking and damaging the prehistoric Pokemon. Arcanine would also take a hit, getting stunned in the process.
"Rrgh...Use Flare Blitz!" Celestia said, not backing down.
"Ar...Arc!" Arcanine would ignite the flames across his body once more, pushing past the electricity. He would charge through the water, charging at Dracovish once more.
"Vish!" Dracovish struggled to recover, the electricity shocking it and leaving its body tingling. The Pokemon wouldn't be able to do anything, the flames coming straight towards him. He was currently paralyzed by the electricity and unable to move.
"Arca...Canine!" Arcanine smashed right into Dracovish, releasing the flames and the electricity in his body, dealing a super-effective attack that would push Dracovish away and knock him across the water.
"Now, Extreme Speed! Repeatedly!"
"Canine!" Arcanine zoomed across the water, his body leaving a white trail. He would repeatedly use Extreme Speed, smashing into the Water-Dragon Type as he zipped back and forth.
"D-Draco!" Dracovish would be pummeled, repeatedly hit with powerful blows.
"Hang in there, Dracovish! Try using Water Gun to defend yourself!"
"Dracoviiiiish!" Dracovish would struggle to fight back, unleashing a large torrent of water that would push back the incoming attacks. But it wouldn't last for long, as the attack would quickly fade. Arcanine was too fast, and the paralysis was keeping Dracovish in place.
"Two can play that game! Dracovish! Use Ice Fang! Freeze the water!"
"Viiiii!" Dracovish would have an incredible amount of energy surge within its body, its mouth being engulfed with ice. Dracovish would unleash a breath attack that would cover the entire pool of water in a thick layer of ice, freezing parts of it rapidly. Arcanine's swift movements were cut off instantly, the Ice Type move affecting the water and freezing his feet, stopping him in his tracks.
"C-Canine?!" Arcanine was confused, trying to move but found his feet stuck.
"Now's your chance, Dracovish! Fishious Rend!"
"Cooo!" Dracovish capitalized on this, dashing through the water with his fangs glowing.
"Burn through with Flare Blitz!"
"Arcarine!" Arcanine would use its remaining energy to summon its flames, burning through the ice and freeing his feet. Arcanine was then able to dash through the water at full speed. The two Pokemon would collide with their fangs, clashing together. A great outburst of energy occurred within the water, making it all ripple as a tidal wave was summoned.
"Wah!" The audience gasped as the tidal wave was coming their way. The size of it was enough to envelop every single one of them with ease. Thankfully, a magical barrier was put up in preparation for this battle. They would still be able to see the entire battle, but they were protected.
Ash, Pikachu, Celestia and the others were also safe, the tidal wave passing over them as it pushed the water. Both Pokemon were forced apart from each other, the waves crashing all around them. However, due to this collision, both of them managed to knock each other out.
"Both Pokemon are unable to battle!" The ref called, making Ash and Celestia sigh as they returned them both to their Poke Balls.
"Thanks, Dracovish. You did all you could, buddy."
"Well done, Arcanine. Rest up." Both Trainers thanked their Pokemon. Ash was still in the lead with 5 Pokemon left while Celestia was down to 4. Those who bet on Celestia were sweating bullets. This battle was guns blazing from the start and it hasn't slowed down even once.
"Somepony get my apple juice." Granny Smith and older ponies certainly needed something to calm their nerves.
"Come on, Ash! Just 4 more and you're clear!" Gallus cheered for Ash. "I need to get paid!"
"That was close though...If it wasn't for this barrier, we all would've been swept away!" Silverstream was still in shock, feeling the impact from the clash. "We should probably tell them to tone it down."
"No." Chrysalis and many ponies and dragons collectively said, shaking their head.
"Don't do that. For starters, they don't know how to tone it down and even if they did, it would ruin their enjoyment of this." Rarity explained. "It's best to just sit back, watch, stay still and pray that this barrier holds up. Whatever they do next may or may not shatter it."
"That's reassuring..." Starlight deadpanned, sweat trickling down her cheek.
"You guys worry too much." Roseluck rolled her eyes.
"I don't blame them. This barrier is pretty fragile." Chrysalis spoke.
"I made this barrier so it should hold up." Luna spoke, looking up at the barrier with her hoof. "Though, I don't think either of them know their own strength. They might end up breaking the barrier."
"I'm sure they won't go that far, will they?" Sandbar nervously said.
"They will." Many of them said, knowing these two very well.
"Okay! You're up next! Gengar!" Ash threw the net Poke Ball forward, bringing out Gengar.
"Gengar!" Gengar appeared on the field, letting out a cackle.
"I'd expect nothing less." Celestia brought out her next Pokemon, holding up a Poke Ball. "I'll follow your lead. Passion!" The Poke Ball opened, bringing out her Gardevoir.
"Gardevoir!"
"Yeah...I was waiting for Passion to show up." Ash smirked, having a good idea of what they were planning. "Gengar, let's start off with a Shadow Ball!"
"Gar!" Gengar would begin to charge up a Shadow Ball, a shadowy blob forming in his hands.
"Passion, use Psychic!" Passion's eyes began to glow blue, focusing on Gengar.
"Voir!" Passion nodded, levitating some of the water on the field. She would manipulate it to create a wall, a shield of sorts to protect herself. The Shadow Ball would hit the wall, causing a loud noise.
"Nice work, Passion! Use Psychic on the water and shoot it at Gengar!"
"Gardevoir!" The water was surrounded by a blue aura, Passion levitating it and throwing it at Gengar. Immediately, both Pokemon left the pool, ascending into sky to feel the clean air. They were now battling over the pool.
"Use Shadow Ball one more time, Gengar!" Gengar would summon another ball of shadows, unleashing it. The two attacks would collide, exploding into a cloud of steam.
"Gengar! Split up!"
"Gen!" Gengar would disappear from the battlefield, leaving behind a large number of illusions, the whole stadium was filled with Gengars, each of them cackling and grinning. "Gengar, Gengar!"
""Garde?!" Passion looked around her. Now she was surrounded by an army of Gengar, none of which were the real one.
"Psychic, once more, Passion!"
"Garde...!" Passion spread her arms out, manipulating the water once more. This time, with an intense grip, she would summon tall pillars of water. "Voir!" Passion would levitate the pillars, moving them around and scanning the area. All the Gengars scattered, trying their best to evade the Water Pillars.
"Use Shadow Ball and fire from above, Gengar!" Gengar would rise out from the water, his hands being covered by the dark, shadowy blobs. He would unleash them all, shooting them down like meteors.
"G-Gardevoir!!" Passion would move the pillars, doing her best to block the attacks, but her focus was split with Gengar attacking from above and the rest of the Gengars firing their Shadow Balls at her. The attacks would come at her from all angles, the Water Pillars not being enough to protect her.
"Passion, use your Psychic to grab the water and cover yourself!"
"Gardevoir...!" Passion nodded, grabbing hold of the water. She would create a massive pillar, surrounding herself with it.
"Gengar!"
"Gar..." Gengar narrowed his eyes, having used most of his energy to create so many illusions and unleash those powerful Shadow Balls. Passion was safe behind her massive water pillar. "Gengar...Gengar..."
"That won't do it. Try it once more, Passion."
"Garde...voir!!" Passion would extend her hand forward, using her power to manipulate the pillar. She would turn it, revealing a new face, the face of a giant, intimidating beast. Its eyes glowed a bright blue as a menacing aura surrounded the pillar.
"A giant Pokemon?" Spike was amazed.
"It's an illusion, but its power is very much real. In preparation for Gengar's Gigantamax, we came up with this tactic. But it works regardless of size!" Celestia explained. "You're looking at an Ocean Behemoth, Ash. Gengar."
"Whoa!" Ash was amazed, watching the massive beast emerge from the pillar. It was a giant, terrifying beast that was made of pure water. This would certainly do well to counter the Gengar if he were to Gigantamax. Not only that, but it would also ensure that Passion wold have a form of defence.
"It's not just Passion using Psychic." Luna spoke to the others. "Because Celestia awakened her magic to new heights and a strong part of that is now a part of Passion, she can do things that all Gardevoir's naturally can't."
"So this is all natural now?!" Fluttershy gasped. Passion's strength had elevated thanks to Celestia's own strength. It made her far more powerful but more importantly..."
"She has access to spells..." Twilight's jaw dropped. Instead of needing to merge with Celestia just to use spells, Passion can now use spells normally.
"Now, Passion, use Psychic!"
"Voiiiir!!"
"Voir!" Passion would raise the beast with her powers, the pillar rising out from the pool and standing upright. The giant beast would look down, its eyes glowing brighter, summoning a tidal wave.
"G-Gen-Gengar!" The Illusions were no match, being completely wiped out by the wave.
"Gardevoir!"
"Passion!"
"Voir, Voir, Voir!!" Passion's eyes gleamed brightly, raising her hands, she would raise the pillars into the air, the Ocean Behemoth rising high, higher than the pool. Passion would then move her arms, causing the Behemoth to move its arms, raising a tidal wave and slamming it right into Gengar.
"Gar!" But Gengar managed to make his body intangible at the last second, disappearing.
"Oh no you don't! Keep the pressure, Passion!" Celestia ordered.
"Garde!" Passion would then raise the water around her, levitating it and creating a whirlpool, searching for Gengar. She would manipulate the whirlpool, looking through the water.
"Gengar, use Dazzling Gleam to break free!" Ash knew he was going to lose this if he didn't do something.
"Gengar!" The Gengar's eyes glowed as he would unleash multiple rays of rainbows, breaking through the whirlpool. He would then fly high up, the beams of light breaking apart the water, causing the entire pool to shatter, the water falling down.
"Passion, disrupt it with Thunderbolt!"
"Voir!" Throwing her arms forward, Passion struck the water with 100,000 volts, electrifying the water.
"Gar?!" The electricity would shock Gengar's body, causing the Pokemon to fall through the water.
"Use your own Psychic, Gengar! Disrupt the water, too!"
"Gengaaaaar!!" Gengar would throw his hands forward, using Psychic as well, disrupting the electricity and throwing it right back at Passion.
"Gardevoir!?" Passion swayed her body, narrowly avoiding the lightning as it crashed into the water. The pool would go haywire with all this electricity running across it, the water being electrified and creating sparks. Along came the Ocean Behemoth, its hands attempting to grab hold of Gengar, but he would easily evade.
"Advance on him, Passion! Use Mystical Fire!"
"Garde!" Passion zoomed through the air, surrounding her hands in magical flames, the scarlet fire surrounding her.
"Gengar! Use Psychic!"
"Gengar, Gar, Gar, Gengar!" Gengar would unleash his Night Shade, unleashing an invisible force, trying to push back Passion.
"Keep going, Passion! You've got the momentum here!"
"Gar!" Passion would continue to move, her eyes gleaming as the flames around her hands increased, the mystical flames growing brighter. "Gardevoir!!!" She would release the flames, the magical flames surging through the air.
"Gengar! Counter with Shadow Ball!" Gengar would summon the dark spheres once more, releasing them, the Shadow Balls being sent flying. The attacks would clash, the two of them fighting against each other.
"Don't let it up, Passion! Keep pushing!!"
"Voiiiir!" Passion would push further, her eyes gleaming. The mystical flames would grow, her determination growing as her flames overpowered the dark Shadow Balls. She would release them, the flames moving at incredible speed.
"Gengar, use Shadow Ball once more! Go crazy!!" Ash shouted, feeling the intensity of the fight.
"Gen! Gen! Gen! Gengar! Gen! Gen! Gen!" Gengar would throw his hands out, summoning many balls of Shadow, his eyes glowing. He would unleash them, the balls of shadows flying in the air, clashing with the flames.
"This is amazing!" Pinkie and the others would look up, watching as the attacks would crash into each other, the clouds of steam would erupt from above, the two Pokemon trying their hardest.
The flames would burn even brighter, the flames surging through the water, crashing into the shadow balls. Passion's flames grew bigger, the mystical fire spreading throughout the pool, the waves being pushed by the force, the heat burning everything in its path.
"Oh, man! Get back, Gengar!" Ash saw that this was a clash Gengar was not winning.
"Gen!" Gengar did just that, ending the clash and moving away, evading the flames as they surged past him, the heat was so powerful that Gengar could feel it from the distance he was at.
Passion and the Ocean Behemoth were on standby, seeing that the clash came to an end. Gengar and Passion would glare at each other, the battle still going on. Ash's attention turned to the Ocean Behemoth, seeing that it would be a massive obstacle unless dealt with. Celestia managed to turn Ash's advantage against him.
"Alright. There's only one way we're gonna match that size." Ash would adjust his hat before holding his hand out. His Dynama Band was already on, showing that he was more than ready to use its power. Celestia knew this was coming, her eyes narrowing. The Shadow Pokemon was brought back to his Poke Ball, primed for Gigantamax.
"He's gonna do it while all this water's still here?!" Rainbow Dash's eyes widened. Gigantamax Gengar was about to appear while the pool was still massive, causing even more chaos.
"Gengar! Gigantamax!" Ash launched the enlarged and glowing Poke Ball into the air, causing a burst of bright light.
"GEN...GENGAR!" Gengar emerged from the Poke Ball, now 10 times the size he was previously. He was absolutely gigantic, taking up most whole field and matching the Ocean Behemoth's size.
"Giant, indeed!" The crowd cheered, snapping pictures and recording videos. They were going wild.
"Woah...So big!" Silver Stream shouted.
"D-Does he look bigger than he usually does in that form?" Applejack blinked, rubbing her eyes.
"Here goes! Gengar! Max Hailstorm!"
"GAR!" The G-Max ability caused Gengar to unleash a hail storm, the wind picking up and snowflakes raining from the sky. The gigantic icebergs broke through the clouds, raining down as the entire crowd gasped. Some of them looked like they were coming towards the crowd, but that was not the case, thankfully.
"Passion, use Mystical Fire! Cover yourself with it!"
"Gardevoir!!" Passion used her fire, surrounding herself with a barrier of flames. This would protect her from the hail storm, but Gengar would soon use another ability, a new one. Some of the icebergs crashed into the water and the Ocean Behemoth, turning into ice, freezing the water.
"Break the ice with Dazzling Gleam!"
"Voiir!!" Passion would use the flames to break the ice, her body surrounded by the rainbow glow. She would unleash it, the gleam surging through the water, breaking the ice and turning the water back to normal. However, there was now a massive hailstorm above the stadium and Canterlot City was starting to be affected.
"He only has one more usage in Gigantamax. Let's capitalize on it! Advance on him and use Thunderbolt!"
"Garde!" Gardevoir flew in, prepared to waste Gengar's last attack as a Gigantamaxed Pokemon. Ash knew this as well, but wasn't about to let it go to waste. With a devious grin, he knew what to do.
"Now, Gengar! Let her in!"
"GENGAR!" Instead of attacking, Gengar would simply widen his mouth some more, gaining a vacuum-like effect.
"Gardevoir?! V-Voir!" Passion was sucked right into the G-Max Menace, her eyes going white. "Voiiiiirrrr!!" The psychic Pokemon would unleash a scream as she was dragged into the Gigantamaxed Shadow Pokemon. The audience was in awe, wondering what was happening, the hailstorm still raining down and the icebergs still falling from the sky.
"Ah! Passion!" Celestia jerked back in shock.
"Gotcha!" Ash raised his fist. "We're not wasting Gengar's last attack just yet! We'll take care of the Behemoth next. Get ready, Gengar!"
"GAR!" While keeping Passion restrained, Gentgar was going to combat the Ocean Behemoth without using any moves whatsoever. That way, he could ensure that he would stay in this state. The Ocean Behemoth roared, bringing its fist down, however, Gengar had ways of acting without needing to use a move.
He manipulated his body, swaying left and right, avoiding the punch. He would then open a hole in his body, avoiding the next punch and causing the Behemoth to miss. Gengar could easily manipulate his body in this large state, acting more like a blob of sludge rather than a ghost. Even at such a size, Gengar was still a trickster through and through.
The Behemoth tried repeatedly to land a hit on Gengar all the while Passion was stuck. Ash was waiting for the right moment to capitalise. And soon, he found it as some of the hail would start freezing the Ocean Behemoth's arm gradually the more it fell.
"Alright, Gengar! We're ready. Now, let's use G-Max Terror!"
"GENGAR!" The final usage was the G-Max Move. Gengar started summoning multiple objects around himself, each glowing and ready to be hurled. But Ash wasn't the only one capitalizing on a precise moment.
"I won't let you! Passion! Use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Garde...Gar...!" Within the darkness that was Gigantamax Gengar, Passion began building up energy. A beautiful energy radiated from her body as her eyes lit up. With intense power, rainbow rays started piercing through Gengar's body from within, causing him to flinch.
"Oh!" Ash gasped at this.
"G-GEN?!" The beams of lights continued piercing his body, causing him to stagger due to this heavy exposure of light. Gengar couldn't focus at all.
"Gardevoir...VOIR!!!" Passion's Dazzling Gleam burst through, the rainbow energy radiating from her, bursting through Gengar's body, unleashing a beam of light.
"GEEEN...!" Gengar could no longer keep his large size, the energy from the move was too much for him. A gigantic outburst of light emerged, enveloping not just Gengar but also the Ocean Behemoth and the entire pool.
"It's...so bright!!" Sandbar was forced to shield his eyes, the rest of the audience doing the same. Everyone shielded their eyes as the hailstorm above would be dispelled and the icebergs would stop falling. It was like the sun was appearing before them, the brightness was too much to bear.
It even eclipsed the stadium itself, being seeing from afar, a beacon of light. As the light subsided, everyone opened their eyes, witnessing the outcome. Not only was the hailstorm gone but so was the pool. All the water had been taken out as well as the Ocean Behemoth.
"Gengar..." As for the Pokemon, Gengar laid flat on his back, his Gigantamax running out as he had fainted.
"Gengar is unable to battle! Gardevoir wins!"
"Whew..." Celestia sighed, having to put a hoof to her chest, sweating bullets. That was a close one. "Nice work, Passion. Risky, but effective."
"Gardevoir!!" Passion cheered, throwing her arms into the air, victorious.
"Great work, Gengar. You did your best, so rest well." Ash would return him. He expected nothing less from Passion. Being Celestia's ace, she was the most formidable, even with Reshiram on her team. Then again, Ash has yet to battle Reshiram, but he still knew that Passion was one-of-a-kind.
"Come back, for now, Passion." Celestia opted to bring Passion back, holding out her Poke Ball. Taking a deep breath, her heart was rushing. This is what Celestia was looking for and there was no sign of disappointment. Challenging Ash was truly a satisfying idea. "Ash. I know I hinted at showing this last Pokemon at the end, but I believe now would be a good idea to bring the reveal."
"Hm?"
"Hm-hm." Celestia chuckled. This mystery Pokemon was finally about to arrive. The 6th Pokemon that Celestia would temporarily team up, but noticeably, it was not in a Poke Ball. Instead, the floor of the stadium would suddenly open up. Everyone looked at the open floor, seeing a staircase ascend from it. The audience was in awe. "It is time."
"What?!" Twilight's eyes shot wide open. Everyone watching this did not expect the individual underneath to suddenly show up.
"It was rather easy to get him to agree to this and I was more than happy about this." Celestia commented as the one emerging from the staircase was none other than the leader of the Swords of Justice.
Cobalion.
"Cobalion?! it's you?!" A stunned Ash exclaimed.
"Hm." Cobalion let out a light smile, standing at the centre of the battlefield, the floor beneath him glowing. It seemed that Passion and Reshiram were not the only heavy hitters Ash had to anticipate. A surprise contender had arrived to throw his motion off.
Cobalion. Now, Celestia's team was stronger than ever, even if Cobalion was temporarily teaming up with her. But he was completely fine with teaming up with her. Wouldn't be the first. The battle between the two rages on as the journey continues.
Chapter 611 End.
