My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Infernape who Aims to be King
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Abomasnow Frostkeep. Nightfall.
After having a banquet with all the Abomasnow, Pinkie Pie and the Crystal Empire were ready to head home, the moon shining down on all of them. It also seemed to be the end of Abomasnow's Cutie Mark, bringing his speech level back to how it was previously.
"Hoh...I'm full. That was a great meal." Pinkie Pie left the Frostkeep, satisified with the banquet. All of them were satisfied. Some couldn't move though, such as Cadence, who passed out from eating too much. She needed Shining Armor to carry her home.
"I'll sleep like a king once I get home. I mean...I technically am a King." Shining Armor chuckled.
"Aboma." Right as they were leaving, Abomasnow walked over to Pinkie Pie, grabbing her attention.
"What's up?" Pinkie faced him. "Thanks for the meal, by the wya. Made me all sleepy. But this is where we gotta say goodbye. I'll come and visit you sometime, so no need to worry~"
"Aboma..." Abomasnow lowered his head. While he could trust that Pinkie Pie will do that, knowing how she is, after the time spent here, he wanted it to last. Since she was his first friend, this feeling was truly amazing and he wasn't sure he'll be able to have a moment like this the next time she comes around. The lack of his elevated speech dragged it down.
Pinkie Pie saw this, knowing how Abomasnow was feeling at the moment. Then, after a moment of thought, had a bright smile on her face, her mind concluding on something. "Unless...You wanna come along?"
"Abomasnow?" He perked up after hearing that.
"Yeah! You don't have to worry about waiting for me..." Pinkie Pie slid over to him, her hooves scraping across the snow as she nudged his belly. "When you can always be around me? Whaddya say?"
"Mew!" Mew popped out of Pinkie Pie's mane, encouraging Abomasnow to go for it.
"Snow...!" Abomasnow's eyes would light up from hearing that. And based on how he was feeling, the reaction and decision was decided. "Abomasnow!" Abomasnow would love to. In short, he would love to become a partner Pokemon for Pinkie Pie.
"Okay then~! Here you are!" Pinkie Pie would unveil a Poke Ball from her mane, holding it out. Abomasnow gladly connected with the Poke Ball, the device opening up and sucking him in. In Pinkie Pie's hoof, she could feel the Poke Ball shaking, waiting to finish its process.
1...2...3...Gotcha! Abomasnow was caught.
Pinkie Pie held the Poke Ball up to her face, rubbing against it with glee. Yet another friend by her side. And for the first time, a Pokemon on her team that wasn't pink or had pinkish parts. She was very much satisfied with today and she was already satisfied prior to this.
Canterlot.
There was one Pokemon of greater speech levels left. Well, the only one known outside the 4th mystery Pokemon. Infernape. And right now, he had finally arrived at Canterlot, standing ontop of a rooftop, gazing at the city below. He let out a grin, eager to gain the great level of respect he's currently seeking.
"So that's it..." Infernape looked over at the castle. "The place where the Princesses live. The place where I'll get the respect I deserve. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to give me what I want."
Infernape's eyes would suddenly glow, letting out a golden flame that allowed him to see at greater distances. By zooming past everything, he looked inside of Canterlot Castle, moving past the hallways. And there, he could see the Princesses inside the castle, doing their own thing. Luna was getting ready to enter the Dream Realm as always while Celestia was ready to call it a night. And the item of interest caught his attention. Celestia's crown.
"Ah...If I hold that crown as ransom, then I'm sure they'll give me what I want. They'll have to." Infernape grinned. "I'll be the most respected Pokemon in all of Equestria. And then, I'll be the most respected Pokemon in the world. That's what I want. That's what I deserve."
Infernape jumped off the roof and landed on the ground, looking towards the castle. "I'll make sure to get it. And if they don't give it to me, I'll take it by force. I'm not afraid of anyone."
He would leap off the rooftop, ready to enact his plan. He lunged high through the air while many were currently asleep, making sure this would be a stealth mission. He would land on the ground, looking around to make sure no one saw him.
"Now then...let's get to work." Infernape made his way towards the castle.
In the castle, the Princesses were preparing for bed. Luna was ready to enter the Dream Realm while Celestia was ready to go to sleep. They were both in their respective rooms, with Celestia in her room and Luna in hers.
Celestia was brushing her mane, looking at herself in the mirror. "Another day, another night. I'm still feeling befuddled from that battle from two days ago. I've never felt such a rush."
"Gardevoir." Passion could agree. It was a rush she's never felt before in her life.
She chuckled, putting her brush down. "I suppose I'm just getting old. I'm not as young as I used to be." Celestia would then look at her crown, which was on a stand. "And yet, I'm still a Princess. But one day, I'd like to be a Queen, if I'm being honest."
"Voir?"
"Of course, that means marrying Cobalion. One day, he'll propose to me and it'll be so romantic~" Celestia gushed, giggling at the thought. "I can't wait for that day. I'm sure it'll be soon. I can feel it."
"Gardevoir." Passion smiled, happy to see Celestia so happy. She was glad that she was able to find love.
"But enough about that. I need a good rest for today...The Antibodies are still running their tests." Celestia stretched her hooves. "To be honest, I wonder how Stella Bloom is feeling right now. She hasn't exactly done much, even though she's the reason the Antibodies are here...Oh, well. I'll just have to see until tomorrow."
With that, she fell on her bed, ready to sleep. "Goodnight, Passion."
"Gardevoir." Passion nodded, dozing off as well.
Infernape made his way into the castle, avoiding anypony who was there. He wasn't spotted by anyone, using the shadows to his advantage. But to ensure that no one could find him, he would use the many spells he now had access to thanks to his Cutie Mark. He needed a way to disrupt silence and thankfully for him, there was a spell for that.
Infernape put his hands together, summoning a soundwave that would spread throughout the halls. The soundwave would cut off all possible sounds that were made within the castle. The only thing that was heard was the wind. No footsteps, no hoofsteps, no nothing. Just silence.
This would allow Infernape to make his move.
"Okay...I've done it. Now, they shouldn't be able to hear me." Infernape said to himself, his voice being the only thing being heard. The guards couldn't even hope to hear him, nor could the other Pokemon that were still awake. Infernape was alone. "Now then...let's get to work."
Infernape dashed forward, his flames burning on his fists. His feet would also catch fire, allowing him to move at greater speeds. He was already making his way through the castle. The main goal was Celestia's crown.
He knew the way to the room, remembering the layout of the castle from when he first saw it. So, it wouldn't take him long to reach Celestia's room. After all, it was at the very top.
He moved so fast that no one could even see his movements. He was nothing but a blur moving across the castle, the wind creating a trail of fire behind him. His flames would vanish once he entered the hallways of the castle, but this wouldn't stop him.
The Princess was still asleep, none the wiser of Infernape's presence. They were completely oblivious to his existence. He was invisible to their eyes, being able to get to the top without being spotted by any guard or Pokemon.
"Garde..." Passion felt her stomach rumble, showing that she was hankering for a midnight snack. "Voir." She decided that now would be a good time for one, even if Celestia was asleep. She'd be able to eat and go back to sleep.
The Embrace Pokemon floated out of the room, rubbing her eyes as she yawned. She then looked down the hall, making a B-line straight to the kitchen. In her mind, she wanted to have a sandwich or even a piece of pie. As long as she didn't wake up the others, she would be fine.
As she hovered by, she passed by the many guards keeping watching, noticing that they didn't even hear her coming. They were caught off guard by this, unable to hear the sound of Gardevoir grumbling. Passion couldn't hear them either, making her rub her eyes in confusion, but she didn't think much of it, going for the kitchen.
After arriving at the Royal Kitchen, she grabbed a plate and looked through the fridge, finding an apple pie, courtesy of Sweet Apple Acres. She used her telekinesis to grab it, using her psychic energy to cut a slice before floating it onto her plate. She giggled in excitement, ready to eat.
Passion flew to the table, sitting in the chair and grabbing the fork. She stabbed it into the pie, about to dig in. She took a whiff of the food, smelling how delicious it was. After taking a bite, she immediately fell in love with it, letting out a satisfied sound.
"Garde~!" She let out, smiling as she continued eating the pie. But as she did so, she could sense something outside the kitchen, causing her to look over and see a shadowy figure. "Gardevoir...?"
Passion rose up from her seat, making her way towards the door, still holding the pie slice. She looked around, seeing if she could find the figure. It was odd that she could hear it, but it was possible that whoever it was might've been a Pokemon. That was when Passion realized she couldn't hear the figure at all. In fact, she couldn't hear anything but the sound of her own voice.
"Gardevoir...Gardevoir?" She tilted her head, confused by this. But it was then that she noticed a flame on the ground, making her gasp. "Gardevoir!" Her eyes widened. She knew what these were. It was fire. While none of the guards or Pokemon could perceive the speed of the flames due to how fast Infernape was moving, Passion had the right amount of speed to spot it.
Infernape had just passed by, causing his flames to appear on the ground. He was unaware that Passion was here, but he wouldn't let that get to him. He'd continue making his way towards Celestia's room.
Passion dropped the pie, flying towards the kitchen and opening the fridge. She took out a bottle of milk and took it with her, making her way towards Infernape. She couldn't exactly run, but she could fly pretty fast, which was enough to keep up with Infernape's movements.
She followed after the Pokemon, her eyes still glowing. She was able to spot Infernape despite how fast he was moving, making it so that she could keep up with him. She knew some shenanigans were afoot, especially since she couldn't hear anything but herself. And the flames only made it more apparent that there was a threat.
"Gardevoir!" There, she spotted him, her voice managing to break through the spell and catch his attention.
"Hm?!" Infernape came to a screeching halt, turning around and spotting Passion. "How are you able to see me?!" He demanded to know.
"Gardevoir!" Passion exclaimed, pointing at the fire on the ground, demanding to know what he was doing here and what he was up to.
"What? I'm here to make a name for myself." Infernape grinned. "By getting a little something from the big boss here."
"Voir?"
"The crown!" Infernape referred to retrieving Celestia's crown. "I'm gonna use that crown as ransom to get what I deserve."
"Gardevoir...!" Passion shook her head. She didn't want him doing that. She couldn't even understand why he would do that.
"It's for my benefit and total respect." Infernape stated. "Once I got my mark and this level of intelligence, I knew I had to have more. Training to get stronger is nice and all, but to be a great king? Even better! It'll just be a ransom item for a bit. That's all.
"Gardevoir...!" Passion wasn't gonna allow that, pointing at Infernape with an angry expression. The audacity for him to come in here and try to steal Celestia's crown. This was absolutely absurd! She wasn't gonna let him do that and she was gonna make sure to stop him.
"Oh? You're trying to stop me?" Infernape grinned, latching onto the pillar. "You can try. You're the Pokemon of the Princess, right? So maybe you can do something. Try and catch me in time!" Infernape laughed swinging from pillar to pillar as Gardevoir instantly gave chase.
"Gardevoir!" She flew after him, her eyes glowing as she threw a Thunderbolt at Infernape. The Flame Pokemon dodged it with ease, swinging from pillar to pillar as he left behind a trail of fire.
The two of them moved across the hallways of the castle, the sound of Passion's voice breaking through the sound spell that Infernape placed on the castle. Infernape swung through the air, avoiding the Psychic type's attacks, laughing as he did so.
Irritated, Passion used Psychic on one of the pillars up ahead, manipulating it before Infernape could grab onto it. Using a spell, she shrunk the pillar to the size of a pencil right as Infernape reached for it.
"What?!" He ended up missing it, falling to the ground. He quickly got up, jumping to another pillar. "Clever girl!"
Passion chased after him, shooting more and more bolts of thunder at the flame monkey. Infernape dodged each and every attack, landing on the ground.
"Voir!" Passion stopped and unleashed a Psychic, trying to trap Infernape, but he avoided this as well via a backflip, recovering running off down the hallway. Passion gave chase, using her Psychic to open the doors ahead of Infernape.
"Oho! Not bad! You're pretty smart!" Infernape remarked, dashing through the open doors with ease. "But that won't be enough to stop me!"
"Garde!" Passion growled, trying to catch the Infernape. But Infernape was too fast and she couldn't predict where he was going. All she knew was that he was heading towards Celestia's room, and she needed to stop him.
"Gardevoir!" Passion used Psychic on the ground, causing it to turn into a slope that would make it harder for Infernape to run, but Infernape kept moving despite this, jumping from wall to wall to get by. "Gar! Garde!" She then used a spell that would reverse the momentum of the surrounding area. The momentum was reversed, with Infernape ending up losing his footing and falling onto the ground.
"Huh? Argh!" Infernape grunted, getting back up.
"Garde!"Now that she had him down for a moment, Passion would teleport, appearing before the Flame Pokemon. With her hand high, she was ready to restrain him. However, Infernape's movements weren't just swift, but also his reaction time, using magic to split himself in two, narrowly avoiding Passion's grab. "Voir!?"
"Hehe!" He grinned from ear to ear, quickly making his double vanish right away. "Not quite quick enough still!" He cackled as he dashed off. "I'm not gonna let you get me!"
"Garde...Gardevoir!" Passion growled, using her psychic to break apart the ground, creating a path of floating rocks to make it easier for her to pursue him. She would also use her telekinesis to manipulate the floorboards to try and ensnare Infernape, generating Psychic Vines. These vines erupted from below, surrounding Infernape and preventing him from moving further. "Gardevoir!"
Infernape would start moving with amazing agility and speed, countering and dodging the Psychic Vines that attacked him. He would block some of them, parry another bunch with his flames, and avoid the rest.
However, Passion was no slouch. She could keep up with Infernape's speed, making sure she kept him on his toes. She continued to cast spells to try and ensnare him, using her psychic to attack him and ensnare him. But Infernape's ability to avoid everything and continue to move with such speed proved to be his greatest weapon, along with his ability to attack with smash through them with brute force.
He used Mach Punch to blow past some of the Psychic Vines that attempted to capture him, using Double Team to divide himself and confuse Passion before leaping at her. Passion would use her own psychic abilities to sense where he was coming from and attack accordingly. She managed to land a direct hit on Infernape, causing him to be trapped in a Psychic.
"What?!" Infernape was unable to escape.
"Voir!" Passion grinned as she raised her hand, getting ready to throw him across the room. But just as she was about to do so, Infernape suddenly increased his weight, becoming incredibly heavy and crushing Passion's focus, causing her to drop him. "Garde...!"
"That was close...!" Infernape panted for a bit as he got back up, rushing towards her again. "Now, it's my turn!" He lunged at Passion, unleashing a flurry of punches and kicks via Close Combat.
"Gardevoir!" Passion was caught off guard by Infernape's attacks. She was hit from all sides, unable to counter properly. However, she knew how to get him. She used Dazzling Gleam, creating a Fairy Barrier to keep Infernape at bay, allowing her to recover.
"You think that'll stop me?!" Infernape grinned, unleashing a Flamethrower to break through it. But Passion knew what was coming, teleporting to evade it and appear behind Infernape.
"Garde!" Passion fired a Dazzling Gleam right in Infernape's back, hitting him directly. A beautiful flash of light went off from the initial hit. "Voir!"
"Gah! Urgh...!" Infernape grunted, skidding across the floor. He slid across the floor for a little while before coming to a halt, trying to get up. He panted heavily, seeing Passion stand there with a smile on her face.
"Voir." She smiled, summoning her Psychic Vines to hold down Infernape in the nick of time. Infernape was still intending on escaping and getting that crown but Passion knew she had to remain aware. Infernape was a crafty anything.
Watching this from the outside were the Antibodies, who spectated the chase for themselves. So far, from what they have seen, two Pokemon have fulfilled their Cutie Marks. Lucario and Abomasnow. The only two unfulfilled were Infernape and Mystery 4th Pokemon. But the Antibodies knew exactly who the 4th Pokemon was.
Aside from that 4th Pokemon, seeing Infernape's actions led them to realize that one of the potential futures of the magical landscape changing could be true. The Antibodies fear that in the future, if Pokemon were to receive Cutie Marks, either they go about it peacefully like how Lucario and Abomasnow did or they become rambunctious like Infernape.
This could potentially change the landscape of the world forever. The Antibodies knew this. And if that's the case, then a future with Pokemon-related Cutie Marks could be on of chaos. But it could also be one of promise as seen by the other two. It all depends on how each individual acts in life. Such is how it has always been even before the Pokemon showed up.
However, to see if a future with Pokemon-related Cutie Marks was still a neccessary one, there was one other thing the Antibodies wished to tackle. Stell Bloom wasn't truly seen as a threat by the Antibodies. Not yet at least. However, there was one individual who they saw as a huge threat and have yet to approach, until now deciding to do so.
Ash Ketchum.
As the journey continues.
