Galar. Weslist City. Day.

A day had passed, and after leaving Stow-on-Side, the trio arrived at a place located in Western Galar called Weslist City. It was an industrial area that was surrounded by the wilderness, filled with a lot of natural life and beauty. The city itself was located in the forest, so the surrounding buildings were mostly in the forest. Some buildings were in the open while others were inside the woods. There was a river nearby, a large river that cut through the land.

Weslist City was filled with all kinds of things to see. The city itself had a lot to do. The city had a few different districts. One was called the "Weslist District", and this was where most of the shopping centers and restaurants were. It was a popular spot for shopping, and there was plenty to find in the area.

The city was filled with shops and businesses that catered to all sorts of tastes and needs. There was even a small shopping mall that had everything from clothing stores to grocery stores. There were even a couple of gyms. The city had an indoor arena, which hosted all kinds of events such as sports, concerts and other entertainment.

This wasn't the reason why they were here however.

Instead, they were at the edge of town where they'd see a large building in the middle of the woods, a place called the 'Weslist Battle Club.' It was a large facility with a big sign above it. It was surrounded by trees and bushes, with some paths that lead into the woods.

"So what is this place exactly?" Sci-Twi asked.

"Usually, one would come here to partake in small tournaments, but there is another way. There is a Special Battle Course that you can take part in." Bea explained. "It's meant for Pokemon that need the extra bit of help to get stronger. I went through this once a few years ago. You can register to go through this course and if you clear it, it'll make Kubfu stronger." She looked to Kubfu and gave him a small smile, and Kubfu nodded his head, understanding that she meant it.

"Battle Course, huh...? That's interesting!" Sci-Twi chirped. She'd be interested to try that out and to test Kubfu's power against whatever was inside. She knew that he'd be up to the task. Hopefully, at least.

The three would go inside the Weslist Battle Club and register, going through the process to enter the Battle Course. They got the instructions from the staff on what they needed to do. For just one trainer and one Pokemon, the course was split into five sections. Four of these would have one trainer that the challenger must defeat, and if they lost to that Trainer, then it's over.

If they cleared the first four Trainers, they'd face a much stronger foe that's considered the final challenge. If they cleared the five, they'd get a reward of course.

"Alright. Ready to take the Special Battle Course, Kubfu?" Sci-Twi asked, smiling at her partner.

"Kub!" Kubfu was ready. Sci-Twi registered at the counter, and the three of them were allowed to enter. This course was separate from the actual building and was in the woods itself. In fact, it was an entire building within the forest. They were told to go inside, where they were greeted by the first Trainer of the course.

A girl who looked about their age, wearing a black top with a skull logo and some shorts. "I'm one of the Trainers of the Course. I'm glad to be of help. This Battle Course was designed to test your skills as a trainer and to make you and your Pokemon grow stronger, and by doing so, you will...Oh, Bea! Is that you?!"

"Yes." Bea said while looking away. "Hello."

"Wow! It's been a while! It's good to see you again, Bea! And I see you've brought friends. That's a surprise!" The girl chirped.

"Ah, yes. Well...they're my..." She hesitated for a bit before smiling. "...They're my friends."

"Wow, that's great! I'm glad you found new people to spend your time with. You seem a bit happier than when we last met, Bea." She gave her a thumbs up. "You don't look too gloomy like before! Last time you were here, you always had that serious look on your face. But now you're smiling, which is nice! And your friend over here..." She pointed at Sci-Twi. "She wants to do the course, right?"

"That's correct." Sci-Twi said. She introduced herself. "My name is Twilight Sparkle. You may refer to me as either Twilight or Sci-Twi."

"Oh, cool! Well, nice to meet you, Twilight! I'm Bambi." She held her hand out and the two shook. "It's a pleasure. So you'll be taking the course. That's great, I'm glad to see someone new taking part. Usually it's only the same trainers coming here, so you're a fresh face to have!"

"So, I have to battle at least four of you? Right? Or can I choose a set amount?" Sci-Twi asked.

"Eh. You can choose. Four's just the standard. If you're not looking to battle here for too long, then we can set up the number of Trainers. How many battles do you wanna have?" Bambi asked.

"Just two. That should be good enough."

"Alright. That'll do! We'll get those Trainers in, then. Just wait here and we'll get you set up for the battles. The other trainers will come to you. I hope you're prepared!" Sci-Twi nodded in agreement, smiling confidently. "Great. We'll let the Trainers know that you're ready. In the meantime, feel free to sit down and relax." Bambi motioned towards some seats that were placed around the area.

"Fu. Kubfu!" However, Kubfu wanted to take on all four trainers, judging Twilight's shirt by jumping up. "Kub!"

"You want to take them all on? Sorry, Kubfu, but, I want to do other things later on. I promise I'll make it up to you by training you even more. Okay?" Sci-Twi promised.

"Kub..." Kubfu crossed his arms, pouting.

"Awww...don't be sad, please?" She kneeled down. "Look. I'm not the kind of person who would just leave you to your own devices. I'll do whatever I can to make you happy, okay? And if you wanna get stronger, I'll make that happen."

"Fu..." He looked away. "...Kub." But he would go through with it either way, nodding.

The four of them sat down, with Twilight taking a seat next to Bea. As soon as they got comfortable, a few minutes passed and another girl walked into the building. This one had short blonde hair with blue streaks, wearing a white and blue jacket and jeans.

"Morning. I'm your second opponent. Nice to meet you." She greeted Sci-Twi with a smile. "Name's Ciel."

"I'm Twilight. And this is my partner, Kubfu." The girl nodded.

"Nice. So you want to challenge the Battle Course? Well, if you want to take the challenge, it'll cost ya a small fee of 1,500 Pokedollars." Ciel stated, getting straight to business.

"1,500? Uh...I only have money from my world though." Sci-Twi dug into her pockets before switching to her bag. "Maybe I should call Professor Oak for a bit? I spent the rest on items and I haven't gotten paid yet-"

"It's fine. I'll pay." Bea stated. She handed the girl 1500 Pokedollars in cash. With the fee paid for, Twilight could officialy enter the course.

"Alright. You said your name was Twilight, wasn't it? Like that Princess over at Equestria?" Ciel asked.

"Not really. She's just my counterpart. And this is my other counterpart right here." Sci-Twi turned to Twilight Wish. "But I'm still Twilight."

"Hm. So you're the one that's involved in that Prisma thing, aren't you?" Ciel questioned, tilting her head a bit. "I caught wind of that mess..."

"Well, yeah. I am. Me and Wish here are involved with trying to stop him." She confirmed.

"Hm." Ciel frowned, her tone changing. "And you're friends with that Ash Ketchum guy too...Just had to show up here."

"Is...something wrong? "Sci-Twi questioned, spotting the tone change.

"I don't want trouble here. This whole Prisma's thing's been worrying a lot of folks recently, including anything surrounding it." She stated, narrowing her eyes.

"You'll have to excuse her. She's been a bit on edge ever since this whole Prisma thing became known to everyone." Bambi apologized for the sudden change in behavior.

"It's not just that. Earlier...I'd say at least 3 weeks ago, we got a glimpse of him." Saying that shocked the three of them, fully grabbing their attention. "Some guy named Victor showed up at the town nearby here. And I don't know what happened, but he suddenly went wild. The next thing we knew, the town was almost ruined. It would've been totalled if he didn't snap out of it somehow."

"Eh?! So Prisma awakened 3 Weeks Ago?!" Twilight Wish exclaimed, standing up.

"I saw it all happen. I saw how dangerous he was and what he did. That power was crazy and it did a ton of damage. Even though he was trying to stop something, he ended up causing more harm to the town and even others nearby. That's when I really got to know how dangerous Prisma could potentially be. I first, I thought it was something that I shouldn't worry about, but now I know."

"Hang on! That doesn't have anything to do with me or Wish though!" Sci-Twi stated. "Or any of us, really! We don't know anything about that!"

"Yeah, but the name Twilight rings a bell and all the stuff that happens with her and that Ash guy? I'd rather stay out of it."

"Come on. You act like something's gonna go wrong if you battle her." Bambi sighed. "Plus, she's not Prisma and Prisma's not here right now."

"Yeah, I know. But I'm just letting her know. And you, Bea. You're a part of this too?" Ciel questioned. She gave Bea a small look, frowning. "Bea, you shouldn't have anything to do with that mess. Even though we're Trainers, you should still try to keep yourself away from the situation."

"I am a part of it." Bea said without any hesitation, shocking Ciel. She placed a hand on Sci-Twi's shoulder, smiling a bit. "But I'm going to stay a part of it. Because they are my friends." She stated.

"...Fine. Let's just get this done then. Follow me, please."

They'd go to the back of the building, where a large room was, filled with seats and rows and an actual battlefield at the bottom. A lot of people were inside, waiting to watch the two go at it. Sci-Twi and Ciel walked onto the field as Kubfu started stretching. And even still, Ciel kept that look on her face. A serious and narrow expression. She looked at Sci-Twi with that gaze, her mind still thinking about Prisma.

"I can still see that look on her face from here." Twilight Wish pointed out. "She still doesn't suspect her, does she?"

"You'll have to excuse Ciel. To be honest, ever since both worlds crossed over, a lot's happened and Ciel's not really the biggest fan of it all. From the Empress attacking, the Solar Empire, the Dread League and so on. She sometimes goes on about how all these threats from other worlds or even from Equestria are becoming bigger than a hassle." Bambi explained.

"I wouldn't blame her. These past 4 years have been filled with truly monumental events. Most of which threaten our entire world." Bea crossed her arms, seeing it from Ciel's point of view. "Not too long ago, the Sun was once taken away by Ultra Necrozma and even the Moon took damage. Of course, they were repaired and all was fixed, but the impact that event had was great. To see the sky and to see no sun or moon? That's quite a shocking sight." She recalled. "And now with the threat of Prisma, that must add even more pressure. It doesn't help that his potential power can be so devastating."

"Mhm. I even heard that a lot of us, if not all of us were taken out by Yveltal destroying all life on Earth. I mean, Xerneas brought us back but...that's terrifying to think about it." Bambi nodded in agreement, resting her hands on her face. Ciel didn't really take it all that well, so I don't blame her for being this worried about anything surrounding Prisma."

"You." Ciel pointed at Sci-Twi, startling her. "I hope you're ready for this battle. For you, I'll give you my absolute personal best."

"I-I am. But really, I'm mainly here to train Kubfu, specifically his durability. I hope we have a good battle."

"Durability, eh? I'll test that out." Suddenly, Ciel would hold out two Poke Balls, preparing for a double battle instead of a 1 on 1 Battle, shocking Sci-Twi. "Let's make this a double battle!" By throwing the Poke Ball forward, she summoned a Mareanie and an Aerodactyl.

"Mareanie!"

"Aerodactyl!"

"Two on one?!" Sci-Twi shouted.

"Hm? You're complaining?" Ciel smirked. "You can do a double battle. So why don't we make it a bit more exciting?"

"Kubfu!" Kubfu stood tall, eager to challenge two opponents at once. For him, it was an exciting challenge that he could try and overcome to the best of his abilities.

"No way I'm letting Kubfu go at it alone." But Sci-Twi refused to have Kubfu go through this solo. Digging into her pocket, she had a Pokemon ready to assist him. "I need your help! Kirlia!"

"Kirlia!"

"Fu? Kubfu!" Kubfu complained, crossing his arms. He wanted to take on Mareanie and Aerodactly by himself, not with Kirlia's assistance. But when Sci-Twi gave him a certain look, he sighed and relented.

"Kir. Kirlia." But Kirlia tried to explain that it was for the better and Sci-Twi knew that. Having Kirlia in battle would make things much easier and would allow Kubfu to get stronger faster.

"Let's see if this helps you with durability at all." Ciel's smirk intensified as the battle was about to begin. A large screen in this area would light up, showing the two Trainers' faces and a VS symbol at the middle. Once it lit up, the battle could finally begin.

"Aerodactyl! Use Stone Edge! Mareanie! Use Sludge Bomb!" She shouted.

"Aero!"

"Marea!" Aerodactly summoned a large number of sharp stones from the ground that were launched towards Sci-Twi's team. Mareanie followed it up by launching several balls of poison.

"Kirlia, use Dazzling Gleam! Kubfu, advance with Aerial Ace!"

"Fu!" Kubfu ran ahead towards his foes. Meanwhile, Kirlia summoned a ball of bright pink light that would soon release beautiful rays of pink energy, colliding with the stones and exploding them, the shards vanishing before hitting the ground. But the Sludge Bomb made contact and exploded right next to her and Kubfu. The blast sent Kubfu back and caused smoke to appear.

"K-Kub!" Kubfu slid on the floor before looking back at Kirlia, growling. But Kirlia shrugged as that was just a factor Kubfu had to taken in. Double Battles are usually more chaotic and destructive than Single Battles.

"Aerodactyl! Ue Aqua Tail!"

"Aero!" Flying through the smoke, Aerodactly formed a long stream of water around his tail that would come towards Kubfu. The Wushu Pokemon grit his teeth, only for Sci-Twi to act fast.

"Save him with Psychic!"

"Kir!" Kirlia quickly made Kubfu glow in a blue aura and move him out of the way. However, Aerodactly quickly turned his tail and swung at Kubfu, the tail making contact. The Wushu Pokemon grunted as he was slammed down into the ground.

"Now, use Ancient Power!"

"Dactyl!" From the floor, he summoned multiple rocks with dormant power within them, firing them at Kirlia.

"Lia?!" Kirlia gasped as the rocks crashed into her, pushing her back. Kirlia slid across the floor, almost falling down, only to maintain her balance.

"I'll make sure you feel the pressure. And I'll keep the pressure coming." Ciel narrowed her eyes, fully intending to make this as difficult for Sci-Twi as possible. "Mareanie! Use Spike Cannon!"

"Renie!" Ciel would play offensively, making sure to keep the attacks going. From Mareanie's head, a barrage of spikes were shot at both Kubfu and Kirlia, forcing the two to scatter.

"Chase them down! Use Ice Fang, Aerodactyl!"

"Aeorda!" As the two ran in seperate directions, Aerodactyl flew to the air and chased Kubfu down. He opened his mouth and two large, cold chunks of ice formed around his teeth.

"Fu! Fu!" Kubfu jumped over the rocks and landed behind the debris. He kept his distance away from Aerodactly, making the Flying Type chase after him.

"Kirlia, use Dazzling Gleam!"

"Kirlia, use Dazzling Gleam!"

"Kirlia!" Once again, the beautiful attack made by Kirlia would shine against the area. The rays flew out rapidly, striking at the rocks and shattering them in seconds. And it struck at Aerodactly, stopping him from chasing Kubfu.

"Use Venoshock!" The girl would not relent, commanding Mareanie to fire two spheres of poison towards the two. They crashed into the two Pokemon, making Kubfu and Kirlia gasp.

"I can see it now. The pressure you're dealing with." Ciel grinned, watching Sci-Twi's expression as her Pokemon struggled against the constant assault. She was a lot more defensive than Ciel, and that showed with her constant dodges. Sci-Twi's strategy was more of a hit and run compared to Ciel's relentless assault. But she kept her composure, watching the battle and taking note of what she could do. Her mind ran with strategies, with moves that would give her the advantage.

"You know, you're a lot more defensive. You gotta go on the attack." Ciel said with a smirk, her eyes locked on Sci-Twi's. "You won't win by running away." Aerodactly was flying in circles and would divebomb towards Kubfu.

"I never intended to run away." She smiled back. "Kirlia! Psychic! Grab Aerodactly!" Suddenly, Kirlia used her psychic abilities on Aerodactly to make the Fossil Pokemon glow a bright blue, stopping his assault on Kubfu. Kirlia struggled to keep him in her grasp, sweating.

"Kir..."

"Stone Edge!"

"Aero...Aerodactyl!" Despite being restrained, Aerodactyl was able to unleash its attack. From its body, multiple stones would ascend into the air, before aiming towards the two. Sci-Twi gasped as the stones began falling at high speeds.

"Scatter, quick!"

"Kub!"

"Lia!"

The two Pokemon quickly dodged the stones as they crashed into the ground. Aerodactly tried to move from his place, roaring out loudly. The rocks kept on falling and Mareanie had an advantage here, keeping its distance as much as possible. The stones kept on coming as Kirlia's focus was slipping, unable to propely concentrate while running from the rocks.

Thus, Aerodactyl broke free, but not only did it escape, it unleashed more stones, launching them at Kirlia and Kubfu. With all these stones present, Kubu was eventually caught by some of them. But he was just caught, he wasn't pinned down. Kirlia also found herself unable to escape as she too was pinned by a large rock.

"Kubfu....! Kub!"

"Kir!"

"Kirlia! Kubfu, no!" Sci-Twi bellowed at the sight of her two Pokemon pinned down, the rocks restrained their arms by pressing down on them.

"Got them right here I want them. Now, Mareanie! Spray your poison all over them! Acid Spray! Upwards!"

"Mareanie!" By spitting a ball of acid into the air, a huge spray of acid rained from the sky. Both Kubfu and Kirlia cried out in pain as they took damage. Sci-Twi gasped and covered her mouth as this happened, but she had no choice but to let them endure it until she found an opening.

"Isn't this a bit harsh?!" Bambi shouted. "Ciel?!" She asked. But the only response she'd get from Ciel was a grin, and she was having a great time.

"I'm not battling her to help her Kubfu." Ciel spoke. "I've had enough of these threats to our world. To make sure another one doesn't happen, I'll do what I can. And that's by making sure you don't battle ever again."

"What?!" Sci-Twi cried. "B-but, I'm not a threat!"

"Prisma is a threat, isn't he? I know that you're involved. Twilight Luminaria, isn't it?" Ciel pointed at her. "That's the name of the being inside of you, just like how Ash has Prisma. All of this comes back to Pokemon, so if I stop you from battling, you'll be useless. I know that much. It's nothing personal."

"You're being unreasonable, aren't you?!" Bambi argued.

"Hey, she can forfeit if she wants." Ciel chuckled. But Sci-Twi shook her head. There was no way she would back down.

"Just...hold out a little longer, Kirlia and Kubfu! We can still fight through!"

"Kub...! Kubfu....!" Kubfu grit his teeth, trying to force his arms up from all the stones pinning him down.

"K-Kir...! Lia!" Kirlia struggled as well, her eyes squeezed shut, tears forming in the corners of them.

"As if I'd give you the chance! Acid Spray once more!"

The acid rained down from above as Ciel continued her relentless assault. This kept Sci-Twi's two Pokemon down on the floor, making sure they stayed there while they were under the pressure of the stones and acid. It was clear that Ciel was going for the win, intending to defeat her opponents in a brutal fashion to stop them from fighting ever again.

She had enough with the new world and was taking it out on Sci-Twi. Her grin widened as the acid sprayed all over the two, the sounds of pain escaping them. Sci-Twi grit her teeth and balled her fists. This is not the kind of battle she wanted. And it's not the kind of battle she'd ever want. Sci-Twi was a lot more reserved and was the kind to avoid conflict if she could, especially a conflict with a friend.

But this wasn't a conflict between friends. This was an actual battle, where it didn't matter if she knew the opponent or not. It mattered on whether or not they could win.

Bambi looked like she was about to bring this bal to an end by calling it. Bea herself looked like she was about to jump in, refusing to let anyone harm her friends in any way. However, none of them would get the chance. Not with what would come next.

"If I can get Twilight Luminaria out of the equation, then maybe I can get Prisma out of the way too." Ciel spoke.

In that instance, it happened.

The two souls within Sci-Twi and Twilight Wish would suddenly resonate and pulsate. The duo would gasp, feeling a strange sensation surging throughout their bodies. Twilight Wish stood up from her seat, looking as though something was happening to her.

"Twilight?! Are you ok?! What's wrong?!" Bambi called out.

"Twilight!" Bea was also concerned.

But as the two shouted her name, something else was about to occur. A bright, golden glow suddenly burst from Sci-Twi, blinding Ciel for a second.

"Woah! Hey!" Ciel covered her face. The same golden glow burst from Twilight Wish and she flew into the air, her body shining bright with a radiant colour. Both of their eyes would light up, their souls syncing as one. It was happening. Threatened by another who aims to prevent her return, the Queen of Unilight was beginning to awaken.

Twilight Luminaria was waking up.

As the journey continues.
