Equestria. Las Pegasus. The Grand Festival. Afternoon.

The next round of the Grand Festival has arrived. The Semi-Finals are here. It was only a few minutes until the first match would begin, which would be between Sweetie Belle and Gelidity. The young filly was nervous about this upcoming fight. She was up against a true force of nature. Not only was Gelidity an excellent coordinator, she was a great Pokemon Trainer as well with the capability of Mega Evolution.

Sweetie Belle didn't think that she could win this but she still had a chance. She was going to give it her all. She was going to try her best to overcome Gelidity and her team, even if she had to do the impossible. She had her head held high, knowing that this would be the hardest challenge she ever faced so far.

The young girl had already come so far, it's hard to believe she had gotten to this point. It was almost unimaginable how far she had come. And she had gotten to the semi-finals of her first Grand Festival. But she was going to fight with all her might to overcome this hurdle.

The young trainer stood at the waiting room. She was looking at the screen and seeing the matchups that were left. She had gotten to the semi-finals and it was would soon be her turn to battle. She was up against the powerful Gelidity. She knew what Gelidity was capable of. This would be the hardest contest of her life.

A nervous Sweetie Belle put her hooves together, hearing the end of Gelidity's current battle and how she had emerged victorious there too. Sweetie Belle herself had managed to defeat her opponent via knockout and now she qualified to the Final 2. It was down to just her and Gelidity now.

"It's the end...I made it to the Final 2..." She whispered, not believing what was happening. "It's the last match." She said to her Pokemon. "We made it all the way, guys. And if we win, we're Top Coordinators."

Her Pokemon were all looking at her, seeing the nervousness in her face. They wanted to cheer her up, knowing that she could do it. They were all confident in her. They knew how much she wanted this and they wanted it as well. She looked at them all and took a breath in and out, calming herself down.

"You can do it, Sweetie Belle!" Scootaloo exclaimed, running up to her. The others would join her, giving their friend their support. "It's just one battle left!"

"We're all rooting for you to win, Sweetie Belle! You got this." Apple Bloom exclaimed.

Coming up to speak with her was Dawn, who was the first person to ever teach Sweetie Belle about Contest battles. Dawn wanted to give her a pep talk, as she could see how nervous she was about the final battle. "Sweetie Belle. This is it, isn't it? You made it all the way."

"I did, didn't I...? I can't believe it..." Sweetie Belle spoke.

"Believe it. You made it all the way to the finals." Dawn nodded in confirmation. She wanted Sweetie Belle to feel like she could do this. "Just remember this. No matter what happens in that final battle, you're already a winner. You got to the very end. That alone proves how far you've come. I was in your posit once. My first-ever Grand Festival saw making it this far. So good luck and do your best."

"Thanks, Dawn. Everyone." Sweetie Belle smiled, but she couldn't stop herself from feeling anxious.

The doors would then open as two ushers were standing by. "Miss Sweetie Belle, your battle is starting soon. You should come with us."

"R-Right! I'm coming!" She nodded, following them out of the room with her Pokemon. She was going to go out and fight this battle, and hopefully, she could do her best and win it all. But the odds weren't in her favour.

The audience were all waiting in anticipation for the arrival of the Final 2. The lights would dim as a spotlight was shining on Marian, the MC of the event. The spotlight would follow her as she came to the center of the stage and spoke.

"It is finally here, everyone. It's the last battle of the Grand Festival!" She exclaimed, getting the audience's attention. "This year, we've seen many a spectacular performance from our Coordinators! But now, we've come down to just two! And they are both exceptional!"

The audience all applauded and cheered, waiting to see both trainers step out from behind the curtains.

"Please, welcome our final competitors!" She called out as the spotlight shone on the curtains. From there, Sweetie Belle stepped out, walking on the stage with a nervous expression. The lights would shine on her, causing the audience to cheer. Marian introduced them both causing the crowd to applaud. She was nervous. She felt so tiny in this huge stadium. She was facing off against a great Coordinator just like herself.

The other one to step out was Gelidity. She walked on the stage and would stand there with a smile, looking at the crowd and waving at them. The audience was amazed by her performance. She was so great in the previous battle. Her Pokemon had performed excellently. They couldn't wait to see how she would fare this time.

Sweetie Belle could see her friends and family cheering her on as she managed to spot her parents in the crowd at last. They were here to support her. She was glad she had the support of her loved ones. They would be cheering for her and her victory. She wanted to make her friends and family proud by winning this contest.

Hondo Flanks and Cookie Crumles held up flags with her face on it. They wanted to show their daughter that they were here for her, no matter what. Rarity was also there to cheer her sister on, knowing that she was going to win this.

She looked at the audience and smiled back at everyone, seeing that they were all cheering for her. The spotlight was on her and she was going to shine like a star.

"Five Minutes on the Clock! And Begin!" Marian started it off with excitement.

"Go! Meowstic! Teddiursa!" Sweetie Belle yelled out as she threw the Pokeballs, revealing both her Meowstic and Teddiursa to the crowd.

"Ninetales, Mawile!" Gelidity threw her Pokeballs, revealing her trusted partners, Alolan Ninetales and Mawile. These four were the final four Pokemon of Equestria's first-ever Grand Festival and they were not here to disappoint at this crucial moment.

"Meowstic!"

"Teddiursa!"

"Ninetales!"

"Mawile!" The Pokemon all cried out as the clock started and the battle began. The crowd was on the edge of their seats, waiting to see who would win it all. Ash and everyone watched intently, making sure not to miss a moment of this. Jessie bit her fingernails, feeling incredibly nervous and obviously rooting for Sweetie Belle to emerge as the victor.

Rarity was sweating bullets. "Oh...I just can't stand this suspense." She said.

"I can do this..." Sweetie Belle slapped her face. "I've done a lot to get here, so I can do this. From my very first contest to now. I can do this." Sweetie Belle was determined to win. She was going to give her all in order to be crowned the winner. "I'll go first! Meowstic! Teddiursa! Jump!"

"Meow!" In unison, both Pokemon leapt into the air, side by side as they were preparing for their attacks. Ninetales and Mawile readied themselves, waiting for the attack to come.

"Use Psyshock and Night Slash!"

"Meowstic...!" While in the air, Meowstic formed those three thick masses of Psychic energy as always, placing them underneath her as a platform to stand on. She jumped off of that, forming another platform and continuing this process. Her body would soon glow as the attack would form within her. She would unleash the glowing shockwave of psychic energy towards the opponent.

"Ursaaaa!" As for Teddiursa, she formed that crescent-shaped forcefield of energy as she was charging straight at the opponent. This was going to be a great combination of moves that could prove devastating.

"Blizzard!"

"Tales!" Ninetales countered this by unleashing a mighty snowstorm from her body. A mighty cold wind was unleashed, carrying snowflakes all over the place as it was heading to meet the two attacks. The forcefield of Night Slash was soon engulfed in ice as it was beginning to slow down. The Psyshock was soon being impacted, taking damage and being pushed back by the sheer force and coldness of it all. Both attacks were gradually losing their power, but they were still pushing forwards.

"Teddiursa! Use Thunder Punch!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed, knowing that her Pokemon could break through.

"Teddi!" Teddiursa would soon have her paw be coated in a powerful surge of electricity. With this crackling attack, she'd use Thunder Punch to break through the Blizzard, the electricity surging throughout the forcefield and sending out a wave of energy. Gelidity gasped as all the electricity melded with the snow, lighting it up in a bright display. It was like the snow was shining.

"Look at that! The snow's shining, becoming brighter than it usually is!" Marian commented.

"Send it right back to them!"

"Teddiursa!" Teddiursa had no problems with sending this attack right back to them. Using her Thunder Punch, she'd punch the snow right back to them, the electricity crackling throughout and creating an amazing spectacle. Gelidity had an impressed look on her face, seeing that Sweetie Belle was taking advantage of her move.

"Mawile, Metal Burst!"

"Maw...!" Mawile braced herself, her maw opening wide. As soon as she was struck by Electric Snow, from her body, an explosion of energy erupted in a bright light, creating a massive wave that was rushing forwards. The snowstorm was soon engulfed, causing it to be broken down and sent back in the form of a powerful shockwave of light and snow. The snow would fall on both Meowstic and Teddiursa, coating them in a thin sheet.

Meowstic and Teddiursa both descended, shaking off the snow from their bodies, feeling a tingle of electricty on them as swell. The two Pokemon looked at their opponents, seeing that they were still standing.

"Now! Dazzling Gleam, Ninetales! Mawile! Double Team!"

"Nine! Ninetales...!" Around her body, a rainbow sphere formed as it would start growing in size, rapidly expanding. At the same time, both Pokemon would soon create a bunch of clones, using their Double Team to surround the sphere. All of the Mawile got on top of the sphere or even in the air, standing atop their clones as they were surrounding the attack.

The Ninetales were the same, all of them surrounding the sphere of Dazzling Gleam. It was quite a beautiful sight for all of them. The audience were in awe, taking a look at the sphere, seeing the light that was emanating from it. It was shining so brightly.

"So bright...!" Luna squinted her eyes at this brightness. Due to all the clones being lit up, the brightness was at a maximum and it was very hard to look at.

"I can't see a thing!" Zoey covered her eyes along with Dawn, May and many others. It was too bright.

"Meow..." Meowstic was squinting as well. Teddiursa had her eyes covered, trying to think of a way to get past this. They both looked at each other, nodding in unison as they had a plan to try and get through this. They knew that it was going to be difficult to do, but it was worth a try.

"I'll respond to it with this! Shadow Ball, Meowstic! Night Slash!"

"Meow...!" To counter the light, Meowstic would generate a sphere of shadowy energy from within her body. It was a massive Shadow Ball, largest she'd ever created. Teddiursa used her Night Slash to form a crescent shaped force field, surrounding the Shadow Ball. These crescents were sharp, some pinning themselves up against the Shadow Ball. "Meowstic!" She sent it flying straight towards the enemy, but the attack was soon stopped in its tracks.

The sphere of Dazzling Gleam was so bright and filled with so much light, that it was cancelling out the darkness of Shadow Ball. The Shadow Ball would soon explode, sending out an array of light in the process and creating a dazzling spectacle of colours that was shining in the eyes of all the audience members.

"Wow! This is just so brilliant! So much light!" Marian commented, shielding her eyes from the blinding light, but still trying to get a good look at what was happening. Everyone was blinded by this light, seeing that it was just too bright to see. All the lights in the room were being reflected off the sphere and the clones, making it even harder to see what was going on.

"I can't see anything!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed. She was trying her best to look at what was going on, but she couldn't even see a thing. She was just blinded by the light. She had to think of something to do to get rid of all this light.

"Aurora Beam! Crunch!"

"Ninetlaes!" At the same time, Ninetale and Mawile moved in while their opponents were this vulnerable. All the Mawile clones advanced while Ninetales fired a beautiful Aurora Beam from her mouth, striking the Shadow Ball as the two merged to create a dazzling array of colours. The Shadow Ball would soon be broken down into nothingness, leaving only a beautiful display of light behind. The Mawile were closing in, their jaws coated in the power of the Dark Type.

"Not good! This'll be major if it hits!" Rainbow Dash sat up, gasping it this sight while squinting. Rarity covered her eyes with both her hooves, shuddering and hoping for the best.

"Please, Arceus...Don't let it land!" She prayed to Arceus, putting her hooves together.

"I can't see...but I'm not defenceless!" Sweetie Belle grit her teeth. "Meowstic! Countershield!"

"Meow!" Opening her eyes with a glint, Meowstic would use Psyshock but in a different way. By getting on her back and emitting all that Psychic Energy from her body, she could create a force field of light, illuminating the area with a bright blue colour. However, this energy would also flail around wildly as Sweetie Belle was now using the Countershield strategy.

All this wild Psychic Energy flying around would immediately block the opposing attack from getting through, meeting them in the air and exploding on impact, creating a dazzling array of lights.

"Nice! The Countershield!" Ash, Dawn and Fantina collectively said. After all, the three of them are the reason the Countershield exists. Ash developed the move by taking inspiration from Dawn's contest moves, and used it against Fantina. It practically came full circle, being used by Sweetie Belle who learned from Ash, Dawn and Fantina.

The Mawile clones would soon vanish, seeing that their Crunch attack was unable to get through the wild energy that was flailing around everywhere. They looked on, seeing the shield that was in front of Meowstic, the energy still flying around.

"What a sight! A wild frenzy of Psychic Energy all over the place!" Marian exclaimed.

"Isn't it gorgeous!?" Fantina stood up with her hands together. "It's beautiful, powerful and amazing defensive! A truly Magnifique creation!"

"Yeha-hea, it never fails!" Scootaloo said, smiling brightly.

"I love the Countershield!" Apple Bloom said.

"Blizzard, Ninetales!"

"Nine! Ninetales!" Attempting to break through it, Ninetales summoned another powerful snowstorm, aiming to put out the Countersheld. However, not even it could break through. As soon as the Blizzard came into contact with the Countershield, it would be broken down and destroyed.

"I-I can't get through it?!" Gelidity was in absolute shock. The most shocked she's ever been as her eyes were as wide as can be. She could feel herself losing points.

"Nope! But Teddiursa can!" Sweetie Belle grinned. "Night Slash!"

"Ursa! Teddiursa!" By generating darkness in her paws, Teddiursa would hit herself, causing all the Dark Energy to envelop her in a shroud of darkness as it would make her invincible due to Dark's Immunity towards Psychic. She'd then fly through the air, leaving behind a Dark Trail as she was now flying at a rapid speed. Her attack would soon break through the Blizzard, sending a flurry of snow everywhere.

"Tales!" Ninetales and Mawile were both struck by Teddiursa's Night Slash, sending the two Pokemon tumbling on their backs. The crowd was amazed at the power of that move, as it had been able to break through the Blizzard and cause a lot of damage. Meowstic got back up, ending the Countershield while smiling.

"Meow!" She was glad to have helped in this situation.

"Nice turnaround! If she keeps that up, she can win this!" Pinkie Pie flailed her hooves with excitement.

"There's no proper way to get past the Countershield most of the time since it can vary from Type to Type and move to move, so it's an effective strategy." Twilight nodded her head.

"Only 3 minutes left! You can do this, Sweetie Belle!" Dawn cheered.

"Hmm..." Gelidity closed her eyes while smiling. "I'm glad. Glad to have met you, Sweetie Belle. And glad that you...You are my last opponent."

"Huh?" Sweetie Belle paused for a moment.

"I'm having so much fun. To me...I couldn't ask for anything better." Gelidity reopened her eyes before digging into her mane. And out of it emerged the ring that contained the Key Stone. It was time. Time for Mega Evolution. Sweetie Belle expected this as she held her breath, bracing herself. "Here I come! Mawile! Mega Evolve!"

"Maw...!" Once more, a gigantic surge of energy would flow and envelope the entire stadium. The crowd was in awe of the sheer power that was being unleashed from the Mawile. The Pokemon would begin to grow bigger and bigger, her maw growing larger than usual.

Once the transformation was complete, the entire stage was covered in a thick blanket of darkness. There was no way to see anything, even though the light from outside was shining through the windows of the stadium. As the darkness slowly cleared, Mega Mawile emerged.

"Mawile!"

"There she is..." Sweetie Belle gulped, watching the darkness clear and revealing the Mega Pokemon.

"Look at it...Mega Mawile! Here to bring the end of the Festival!" Marian exclaimed.

"The end...of the festival..." Sweetie Belle repeated. She knew that this was the end of the Festival. She had to win this, no matter what. She had to beat this opponent and her Pokemon, or she would lose it all.

"Now, let's go! Crunch and then Double Team!" Gelidity ordered.

"Maw!" Opening its large jaws, Mega Mawile charged forward, intending to attack with its mighty jaws, and use them to bite on the opponent. The Mawile clones from Double Team would also charge, their jaws ready to bite down as well. They were all going in for the attack.

"Teddiursa! Stop them with Thunder Punch!"

"Ursa!" Teddiursa's paw would glow with a powerful surge of electricity. She was ready, her arm crackling with the power of Thunder Punch.

"Mawile!" But the Mawile Clones would stop her in her tracks. The Thunder Punch would hit one of the clones but since it was just a clone, the Thunder Punch would go right through, not even hurting it. Another Mawile would soon come in, grabbing Teddiursa with its maw and pinning her down. Teddiursa cried out as she was being pinned to the ground, struggling to break free from the grip of Mawile's jaw.

"Ninetales! Dazzling Gleam!"

"Nine!" Leaping into the air was Ninetales, ready to strike her while she was dow. From her body, multiple rays of rainbows would rain down upon Teddiursa. The little bear would soon be covered in a rainbow sphere that was being filled with light.

"Meowstic, get her out of there! Psyshock"

"Meow!" Meowstic nodded, leaping up into the air and using her psychic powers to break her free from the sphere, allowing her to escape. But Mawile wouldn't give up that easily. It would continue to hold on, its maw keeping a tight grip on her.

"Meow!" Meowstic would soon form the Psyshock, a powerful shockwave of psychic energy that would be sent flying towards the opposing Pokemon, attempting to strike it. But it would just go right through, as it was just a clone.

"Another clone?! Where's the real one?!" Sweetie Belle cried out as the rainbow rays kept bombarding the area. Teddiursa was trapped in the light. There was no way for her to get out of this. At least, not with outside interference.

"With all those rainbows raining down, Teddiursa might be on the brink of going down!" Marian bellowed as Sweetie Belle's points were dropping fast. It was time to find a way out of this one.

"Thunder Punch! Use it on yourself!"

"Teddi...Ursa!" With brute force and determination, Teddiursa would unleash a mighty thunder punch, striking her own body. She willingly shocked herself, showing the Mawile that surrounded her as a wild flare of lightning went across the area, shocking everything in sight.

"M-Mawile!" Mawile grimaced as each of the clones took damage, eventually vanishing from sight, leaving the real one left. "Wile!?"

"Found you! Go, Teddiursa!"

"Teddi!" After blowing back all the clones, Teddiursa rushed in, her arm back as she prepared to slug Mawile.

"Metal Burst! Aurora Beam!"

"Maw!" With another burst of energy, Mawile would send the electricity right back to its source, striking the incoming Teddiursa. Along with the Aurora Beam that would follow suite, creating a powerful combination of light and electricity that engulfed her. "Maw!" Mega Mawile would then bite down on her, sending Teddiursa flying across the stage.

"Teddi!" Teddiursa hit the ground with great force. Her body was shaking, trying to get back up. She was in pain, but she wanted to keep fighting. She wouldn't give up so easily. She got to her feet, standing tall and proud, determined to continue this battle.

"Teddiursa...! Don't give up!" Sweetie Belle yelled.

"Meow!" Meowstic got in front of Teddiursa, seeing that she took a ton of damage compared to her.

"Meowstic! Shadow Ball on one hand and Psyshock on the other!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.

"Stic!" Meowstic was more than ready to do so. In her right paw, a ball of darkness was created, while in her left paw, the Psyshock was created. With both of her paws full, she was ready to fight back. She was going to send these attacks back to back.

"Okay, Ninetales! Dazzling Gleam! Mawile, Metal Burst!"

"Nine! Ninetales!" A beautiful ball of rainbow light was created once more. The sphere of rainbow light was in the air, surrounded by a dazzling array of colours, as it expanded rapidly. This was going to be a big one, and it was coming in hot. The attack even took shape, forming into a large serpent with an open mouth, charging forwards and aiming to devour the two Pokemon.

"Maw!" Mawile would then use Metal Burst once more, creating a massive outburst of energy that was sent right at the opposing Pokemon. The force of this attack caused the sphere to explode, creating an array of beautiful rainbow light that would soon be blown out. Moving through the attack, Ninetales and Mawile's attack succeded in breaking trough, enveloping both Mawile and Teddiursa as they collectively gasped.

"Teddiursa! Meowstic!" The attacks were engulfed by the rainbow serpent, disappearing along with the rest of the light. The two Pokemon were sent flying back from the explosion, landing on their backs. They were both struggling to stand back up, clearly exhausted from the fight.

"Oh, dear!" Fluttershy covered her eyes, not being able to watch anymore.

"Sweetie Belle..." Rarity silently said, fearing for her sister.

"Come on...come on...you guys..." Sweetie Belle bit her lip, waiting for them to get back up.

"Urs..."

"Meo..."

The two Pokemon slowly started to move, their bodies aching from all the damage they've taken. They slowly got back up to their feet, standing on their paws and feet, ready to continue fighting. They looked at each other, seeing the determination in their eyes. They weren't giving up. Not yet. Not when they were so close to the finish line.

"Oh?!" Even Gelidity was surprised they could continue this. There were only 2 minutes left, so she'd have to make sure they didn't get up again. And Sweetie Belle had to make sure she could grab victory.

Sweetie Belle's points were rather low. Sure Gelidity lost points but right now, she was in the lead. Sweetie Belle closed her eyes, thinking hard for a moment. With only 2 minutes left on the clock, she had to do something.

"You're so strong, Gelidity..." Sweetie Belle said, looking at her. "That's why I have to do my best. Not just for me, but for everyone who's supporting me from the stands and from home. My parents, my friends and for my sister. I haven't lost yet! Even if I win or lose, I don't want to go out weakly. I'll finish this with a bang!""

"Ah, such fire!" Fantina exclaimed with glee, loving the passion.

"Oh, I live for moments like this!" Celestia would shout as well.

"What a remarkable performance from the lot of them!" Mr Sukizo said, smiling at the battle. Mr Contesta and Nurse Joy nodded in agreement.

"Alright! That's what I want to hear! I've been having the time of my life! I hope you have too!" Gelidity grinned. "But let's finish this! Ninetales, Mawile! Jump!"

"Tales!" Using her tails as leverage, Ninetales leapt into the air, landing on top of Mawile's massive maw. The two Pokemon were ready to strike, their attacks charged up.

"I was saving this just for this one moment!" Sweetie Belle grinned. "All the damage that's been done to the stage works in my favour. I've only had Meowstic use two moves until now! Now, Meowstic! Secret Power!"

"Meow...!" Meowstic grit her teeth, unleashing a wave of dormant energy that would soon envelop the entire area. As the energy spread across the battlefield, a change began to occur. As Meowstic continued to unleash the Secret Power, the floor would start to shake as a result.

The most common element on the floor right now was all the snow from Ninetales's Blizzard, which allowed Meowstic to capitalise on that. Secret Power works by interacting with the environment after all. Meowstic was using the power of snow to create an icy battlefield.

"What a smart idea! She's turning the stage into her own personal playground!" Marian exclaimed. But more than that, Meowstic would create tall ice pillars that she and Teddiursa would be elevated by. These were pillars that reached up high, giving the two Pokemon an advantage over their opponents. The pillars were massive, allowing them to tower over Ninetales and Mawile.

"Huh, wha?!" Gelidity gasped?!"

"It's our turn for a turnaround! Teddiursa! Swift! Meowstic, use Shadow Ball!"

"Ursa!" Teddiursa and Meowstic unified their attacks as one as Teddiursa created the Swift attack, forming that array of star shaped lights that would fly at the opponent and strike them. At the same time, Meowstic would create those masses of Psychic Energy and use them as a platform. Once she was in the air, she would then create that sphere of Dark Energy, the Shadow Ball that was created. The Shadow Ball was soon struck with the Swift attack, merging to create a giant Black Star, one that travelled at high speeds.

"A Black Star...! What a sight!" Luna's jaw dropped at this marvelous sight and so did many others.

"Ninetales, Dazzling Gleam!"

"Nine!" Ninetales would unleash a barrage of rainbows to pummel the Black Star, attempting to stop it in its tracks. The rainbows rapidly blasted the star repeatedly, briefly holding it back.

"Mawile! Use Crunch!"

"Wile! Mawile!" Mawile would descend, landing on one of the many tall ice pillars just to try and approach opponents. Mawile's maw glowed as it was ready to Crunch down, attempting to take down the pillar that Teddiursa was standing on.

"Use Shadow Ball!"

"Meow!" Meowstic had the same idea, creating a sphere of Dark Energy that would soon fire off in a rapid succession, hitting the pillar that Mawile was standing on. Both pillars took a ton of damage, beginning to crack as the two attacks hit their mark.

The shockwave would also cause the Black Star to explode, creating a flurry of stars and shrapnel to rain down upon the two Pokemon, hitting them with great force.

"Ngh!" Gelidity closed one eye, feeling the tremendous force as it matched a great wind pressure. "Ninetales! Aurora Beam!"

"Ninetales!" Ninetales would leap through the air and the smoke, intending to hit Teddiursa with that Aurora Beam of hers. The beam was coming straight at Teddiursa, but the bear wouldn't let it hit her. Not at all.

"Swift!"

"Teddiursa!" She jumped up, using Swift to create an array of stars that acted as a platform for her to jump off of. This gave her the ability to avoid the attack, creating more stars to keep her momentum going. She kept on leaping through the air, using the stars to get higher and higher, and eventually, she was right above Ninetales and Mawile.

"Meowstic! Psyshock on Teddiursa! Tedduirsa, use Night Slash on yourself!"

"Meow...!" Meowstic would then unleash all of her power on Teddiusa, sending all three thick masses her way.

"Ninetales! Dazzling Gleam!"

"Nine!" But attempting to intercept that was Ninetales, sending a barrage of rainbows their way. But Sweetie Belle had a response to that.

"Aha! Pull it in, Meowstic!"

"Stic!" Manipulating one of the three thick masses, Meowstic would wrap the Dazzling Gleam with a single part of the Psyshock, pulling it towards Teddiursa. This caught everyone off guard as three separate moves approached Teddiursa while a fourth one enveloped his body.

In unison, all the attacks met with Teddiursa, but instead of damaging him, they surrounded him in a bright array of light, all the colours of the rainbow. He was enveloped by the Psyshock, the Dazzling Gleam, the Night Slash and the Swift. His body was shining, surrounded in a beautiful array of rainbow colours.

"Wow! Not just two but four attacks are around Teddiursa and changing!" Marian was starstruck. "What's it even taking the shape of?!"

Everyone watched deeply, seeing what all this energy was being manipulated into forming. As the energies were being compressed into the shape of a rather familiar Pokemon. Right before their eyes, Meowstic hand changed the shape to match the evolution of Teddiursa.

Ursaring.

A massive Ursaring Avatar made out of all four energies was towering over everyone in the room. Its body was a bright shade of blue, with Psychic and Fairy stars twinkling within, while the rest of the body was covered in a rainbow aura.

"Goodness! An Ursaring Avatar?!" Mr Contesta bellowed.

"It almost resembles the Ursa Major and Ursa Minor!" Celestia added.

"So...beautiful...!" Fluttershy was in awe, seeing the amazing Ursaring avatar.

"Meowstic is manipulating all the energy to create that Avatar...!" Fantina was in awe. Even she was impressed, seeing how well this was done. She was in awe. She was truly amazed.

"Sweet Celestia..." Gelidity's jaw dropped. "This is...amazing...!" She was in awe, seeing the Ursaring avatar. It was a sight to behold. She was truly impressed.

"Let's go, Ursaring! Strike them! Thunder Punch!"

"Ursa!" The Avatar of Ursaring slammed its massive fists into the ground, intending to absolutely deliver a titanic blow Mawile and Ninetales.

"Mawile! Metal Burst! Ninetales, use Blizzard!"

"Nine!"

"Maw!" Ninetales and Mawile both prepared their attacks, ready to intercept. Ninetales summoned a blizzard of her own, creating a powerful glowing Snow Tornado that would meet the Thunder Punch head-on. Both attacks clashed, creating a powerful shockwave that went across the stage.

The clash was tremendous, both sides attempting to push through, neither of them budging an inch. A fierce energy crackled between the two attacks as the ground began to shake and crumble. The sheer force of the impact created a massive crater in the centre of the arena. The crowd roared with excitement as the battle reached its climax. The ice pillars would start breaking apart, unable to handle all of this.

"Ursa...!" Teddiursa growled, her fangs sharp as her eyes were glowing a bright white. She was giving it her all. All the energy she had left. She knew that this was the final attack and was going to put all her power into it. She was determined to see this through. Meowstic was struggling to keep the avatar stable, straining her entire body.

"Niiinneeee!!" Ninetales was putting all her energy into this attack as well. The force of the collision caused a shockwave that shook the arena, causing the audience to cheer even louder. Everyone held their breath, especially the parents of both sides.

"URSA!" At the top of her lungs, Teddiursa broke through, the massive paw of her Avatar shattering the opposing attack as Teddiursa herself charged forward. Right before Ninetales's eyes, she saw it.

The paw of Teddiursa but also the visage of Ursaring behind her.

"Nine...!" Ninetales was hit by that titanic paw dead in her jaw, being sent flying back as her entire body would soon be engulfed by the Avatar of Ursaring, surrounding her in a blinding glow of rainbow and white. The Ursaring Avatar would then disappear in a flash, creating a massive cloud of smoke as the stage was greatly damaged. The crowd was in awe, watching this all play out.

Mawile and Ninetales would be sent flying backwards from the massive impact as all that energy enveloped them all. The duo fell to the ground with a hard crash as snow gently fell from all the shattered ice pillars and the broken ground. They were struggling, clearly exhausted and unable to continue battling. Everything went silent as the snow kept falling gracefully.

"Hah...Hah..." Sweetie Belle panted heavily along with her Pokemon, the three of them having burnt through so much energy.

"Ninetales..."

"Mawile..."

And with that, the two Pokemon were knocked out, unable to continue as Mawile reverted to her original form. They had been defeated.

"Ninetales and Mawile are unable to battle! Teddiursa and Meowstic are the winners! Which means the victor and official first-ever Top Coordinator of Equestria is...SWEETIE BELLE!"

Sweetie Belle was in shock. She couldn't believe it. She had won. She had actually won. Her body started to shake, her legs trembling as she was unable to stand. Her mind raced as she fell on her back. She had won. She had won. She had won! Tears started to fall from her eyes, but she was crying tears of joy. Her friends rushed over to her, hugging her tightly and congratulating her on her victory. She was so happy. She had won. She had finally done it.

She had won.

"I won!" She screamed at the top of her lungs as the crowd cheered for her victory and this stupendous final battle. "I WON!" Her Pokemon ran over to her, having a tiny bit of strength to run towards their trainer, hugging her as they cried with her. The three were overjoyed.

"Teddiursa...Meowstic..." Sweetie Belle hugged them, holding them tightly. "We did it...! I love you all so much!"

"Ursa!"

"Meow!" Teddiursa and Meowstic returned the hug. They were all crying together, overjoyed at the victory. It was a long and difficult journey, but they had made it. They had won.

Gelidity got up, seeing the aftermath of the battle and how her two Pokemon were down. She was speechless, her heart beating a thousand miles per second. A wave of emotions washed over her body, feeling an array of feelings. But at the very end, she simply laughed. It was a soft, warm laugh. She was so happy. So very happy.

"That was worth it. Ninetales. Mawile. You two were amazing." She went over to her partners who smiled back at her. She couldn't help but laugh, a few tears forming.

"Waaahaaaa!" Absolutely overwhelmed by this Rarity, who was crying her heart out. "I thought the worst would happen! But he won!"

"There, there..." Fluttershy would say softly, patting Rarity on the ack.

"She was amazing...!" Applejack was awestruck, unable to believe how amazing this battle was.

"I can't believe it! She did it! She won!" Twilight was in awe, clapping and cheering. "Aaah, we should put this down in the history books, if you ask me!"

"Yeahaaaa!" Scootaloo and Apple Bloom screamed together. "That was awesome! Oh, my gosh! That was the best battle I've ever seen! Did you see how they pulled off that Avatar?!"

Jessie also teared up, glad that Sweetie Belle won it all. Jessie caught her flowing tears in a cup. Her parents were in the same boat, naturally. Fantina applauded her amazing performance. So did, Ash and Dawn, proud to see Sweetie Belle make it this far. The three of them helped her develop all these skills after all. Everyone was proud to see her make it this far. Everyone in her family, her friends and everyone who's supported her along the way. She did it.

"Thank you, Gelidity!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed as she went up to the other girl. She held out her hand. "I won't forget this battle."

"Me neither!" Gelidity smiled, shaking hooves with Sweetie Belle. "You really are the best, you know? You're my best opponent, no doubt. I hope you keep that strength, okay? You are now Equestria's Best Coordinator."

"Same with you!" Sweetie Belle smiled, the two having a great deal of respect for one another.

And now, it was time for Sweetie Belle to receive her reward. Fantina would be the one to hand out a massive trophy. One made of crystal that had been carved into the shape of a Poke Ball. The trophy was massive, way too heavy for her to hold naturally. Thankfully, Meowstic would use Psyshock to hold it up.

"Congratulations, Sweetie Belle. You are now the first-ever Top Coordinator of Equestria!" The trophy was held up by Fantina, presenting it to Sweetie Belle.

"We look forward to your future endeavours as Top Coordinator." Mr Contesta would say.

"As well as the remarkable kind of Pokemon you and your Pokemon will bring to the stage next!" Sukizo added, smiling at Sweetie Belle.

"Hehe! Thanks, everyone!" Sweetie Belle grinned as all of her Pokemon who participated in this Grand Festival would hold the trophy up. "This is the best!"

And thus, the first-ever Grand Festival in Equestria comes to an end. The winner was Sweetie Belle. She was the one who took home the trophy and the title of Top Coordinator. On this day, history was made, and she would be the catalyst of it all. She was the first, but definitely not the last. Truly, everyone will remember her as the journey continues.
