My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Let's Do It! The Ultimate Team!
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Manehattan. Day.
Over at Manehattan, a large city in Equestria, things have been going smoothly lately. However, there was one place in particular that had been making some buzz.
"Come to the best restaurant in Equestria!" A poster said as it was being pinned onto a bulletin board. "With food like no other, you'll be in paradise!"
It wasn't just that. There was something about this place in particular. It was located on one of the higher floors of a tall building within Manehattan, where there were a large number of restaurants and places to eat at.
"Have you been there yet?" One pony asked.
"Oh, the one that just opened up?" Another replied, as they walked past it.
"I haven't, I hear they're packed though." A third one added as he passed the same building. The pony was a large stallion, and he wore a black coat and had a red mane.
"Hmm, maybe I'll try it sometime." The pony said as he continued to walk. He wasn't like the rest of them. His body was bigger, and more muscular, and he looked more intimidating than the rest. But it seemed like he had a lot on his mind. He had heard rumors of a new restaurant opening up, and he wanted to check it out himself.
He had been walking for a while, and it wasn't long until he reached his destination. As he got closer, he saw a line of customers waiting to get in, and he was excited to see what the place was all about. "This must be it..." He said to himself. The place had a very elegant and classy feel, and he was excited to check it out.
The large stallion waited patiently in line. It took him about half an hour before he could get inside. When he did, the place was filled with customers and staff members who were busy attending to them. It looked very nice and clean inside. It was well lit up with bright lights everywhere and there was also a big sign above the entrance which read 'The Best Restaurant in Equestria'.
For a new restaurant, it was quite the title to have, especially for a new business that hasn't been open for long. But if they could pull it off, then that's another story. And for the stallion, it would be an experience to dine here.
"My, you're here at this time? I wouldn't say you're lucky..." The hostess shook her head.
"Why? What's wrong?" The stallion asked.
"To be honest, you might not have any food left to eat. Thanks to those three over there, we may have lost some supplies..." She promptly turned his attention to the three fiends devouring a large collection of food.
Of course, it was Ash, Red and more recently, Ethan. The three of them tore up the place with their hunger.
"What the- How are they eating that much?!" The stallion exclaimed, watching as Ash and Ethan continued to consume a lot of food at an alarming rate. It looked like the two boys were having a competition, as if to see which of the two boys could consume the most. Red would join in, wanting to outpace them both. He grabbed a sandwich and shoved it into his mouth, while Ethan did the same with a piece of cake.
"What a horror show..." Watching them eat was Twilight Sparkle. "You're gonna scare away the customers."
"I'm sorry..." The waitress apologized to her. "We're trying our best here..."
"We'll make up for all this. I'll pay the bill." Twilight rolled her eyes.
"That's very kind of you." She smiled. "In the meantime, here's your order." The waitress handed her a bag with the food. "It's all paid for. No charge."
"Oh. Well, thank you very much!" Twilight smiled, taking the bag. "See ya." Twilight waved goodbye and walked out.
The waitress smiled as well, seeing her leave. "Thank you too."
She sighed in relief as she watched the alicorn leave, but she couldn't help but worry. The restaurant was already running low on supplies, and now with those three, there was a chance that they wouldn't have anything left.
"Great that you came to us, Ethan!" Ash cheered, his mouth filled with food.
"I couldn't just sit at Canterlot. It's a nice place, but not as nice as a restaurant!" Ethan grinned, doing the same thing.
Red shook his head. "..."
"Now that all three of you are here, it's one step closer to preventing Prisma's return." Twilight spoke to them. "While most would see that as a way of Prisma appearing faster, I believe you guys can stop that if you're all together."
"You really think so?" Ethan wondered, looking at Twilight. "How is that gonna stop Prisma? I don't get it."
"I talked about this to Rarity and Applejack way back. I decided on one thing. An option that might work out." Twilight closed her eyes, holding her breath in. "If possible, I want to befriend Prisma."
All three looked at her with a surprised look. Ethan shook his head, befuddled. "That's a tall task, Twilight. Prisma is...well, Prisma."
Twilight nodded, understanding that. "It might not be possible but...maybe there's a chance." She looked at them. "I heard what happened to Prisma during his past and how he went through all those lifetimes. Maybe if I could get through to him, he'd listen and understand. After all, he's still human."
"Hmm...Would that work?" Ethan had to wonder. Red closed his eyes, staying silent as well.
"I'm hoping. That's why if he does return, we take that chance. Right now, the three of you are right next to each other, but there's no sin of Prisma awakening for even a moment. But I bet that if all 10 of you were together, he'd awaken." She explained, making the three nod.
"I get what you mean, Twilight." Ash smiled, agreeing with her. "It makes a lot of sense. All three of us are here together. And I know that it will be easier if we are together. We're like brothers."
"That we are, Ash!" Ethan cheered. Red nodded.
"We'll do it. Depending on whenever he awakens, we'll try. Well, I guess in this case, you'll try. We'll be the ones who'll be possessed." Ash sighed. He didn't know what to say, but he was sure that they would find a way. They had to.
"We'll do our best. If we fail one time, we'll try the next time. And if we keep failing, we'll try until something clicks." Twilight nodded.
"We will succeed. We have to." Ash smiled, as did the other boys.
Twilight was sure of that. She knew that no matter what, the three would succeed and she would be there to help them. She would make sure of that. Even if she had to take drastic measures. "We have to. It's all up to us." She looked up at the sky.
After a hearty meal, the four of them strolled out of the new restaurant and made their way elsewhere. What were they planning? Well, now that Ethan had joined them, there was only one thing to do next. Gather the rest. All 10 Counterparts had to be with each other, so the plan would begin by searching for the rest. And the best place to go would be their respective universes. Each of the counterparts had one. So it wouldn't be that hard to gather the rest.
"I say we find Brendan and Lucas next. For Lucas, it'll be easy. He's the only one out of all of us that can open gateways freely." Ethan explained.
"That would help. Come to think of it, all of you have something special thanks to Prisma. Ash, you have the soul of Dialga in you so you can affect time. Well...only when Prisma's active. Lucas can affect space thanks to Palkia. What do you and Red have?"
"Us two?" Ethan looked to Red. The older trainer looked down for a moment, then shrugged. "Can't say. I haven't awakened Prisma in me yet and I don't think Red even remembers or knows what he has. But whatever he has, it must be pretty awesome."
Red gave a nod. "..."
"Either way. All 10 of you have the Spirit of a Legendary Pokemon within you. Pokemon that Prisma used to have. It wasn't just his own soul he left behind. We'll figure out what everyone else has and make sure nothing goes wrong. Time and Space are already a big deal, so anything involving something like Yveltal's power to snuff out life, or even something more catastrophic could be dangerous."
"Xerneas would be fine, but yeah. I'm with you." Ethan nodded. "Well, if Lucas can get to us, we should be able to gather everyone else. Gotta be an easier way of doing it though than just asking Princess Celestia. Ah! How about we get some help from someone more up here!" Ethan pointed at his head, making Twilight raise an eyebrow.
"Umm...I'm not following."
"Princess Celestia's super smart, but even she's struggling with solving this Prisma thing. But I think I know about a Pokemon who can sort that out. He's got a ton of brain power!"
"You mean Mewtwo?" Ash asked.
"Nope. Someone else. Victor said that he met him before and hung around him. Plus he's a King! I think his name was..." Ethan held his head, trying to recall the name. "Calyrex!"
"Calyrex?" Ash and Twilight repeated, looking at each other.
"Calryrex...Calyrex..." Twilight repeated that name, closing her eyes and thinking hard for a while. "Ah! I think I saw that name come up actually in a book I read!" She looked at the two boys.
"Really?" Ash asked.
Twilight nodded. "There wasn't much though. Early on, when I borrowed those books from Canalave City's Library to learn about the Pokemon World, I learned so much. About Arceus, Mew, the Lake Trio, Creation Trio, the Weather Trio, many regions and so on. But Calyrex came up in the Legendary Section, but there was so little on him. What little was written on the book is that he's a King, but I never got much information on that. So he was a bit mysterious in my mind." She admitted.
"Victor knows a lot though. I don't know that much, unfortunately." Ethan sighed. "But from what I do know, Calyrex knows a lot and can even grant blessings to others. I'm sure if we talk to him, we could find out a way to solve the Prisma Problem and even prevent his awakening in the first place! It could be that easy!"
"Could be." Ash nodded. "And it wouldn't hurt to try."
"Where does Calyrex even reside?" Twilight asked. "He's a Pokemon so he can live in a lot of places, but where is the place we should search for him the most?"
"There's one place. They call it the Crown Tundra. That's where we'll find him." Ethan remembered Victor's stories. "It's called Freezington. So that's our best bet. Even though this isn't my universe, the Crown Tundra should still exist here."
"Hm, hm. Okay. I'll come back to that, just in case." Twilight nodded, thinking to herself. "In the meantime, I want to do something. Let's head back to Ponyville and I'll show you."
Elsewhere, the Arcane Institute had located Ethan and arrived in Universe 1. It wouldn't be easy tracking him down. There were many places to search in and they had a tough time searching through everything, but if he was in the Main Universe, it was all the more difficult to search through the whole world to find one boy.
"We'll find him, no doubt. The main universe is our biggest threat, but we're not out of the game yet. For now, let's keep a very low profile." Venture looked to his fellow students.
"Yes sir." Everyone answered in unison, their faces covered with masks, keeping themselves hidden from sight. They wore long robes and their eyes glowed a faint blue. They had a presence of magical energy emanating from them. "Let's begin the search."
The group nodded and began their search in this vast world. Twilight Moonlight walked out from the vehicle. She had been observing the group as they searched. She knew what needed to be done, and that was to capture Ethan and prevent Prisma from awakening. That's all that mattered to her.
And in her mind, she would not hesitate like before.
Ponyville. Twilight's Castle.
They arrived at Ponyville, specifically at Twilight's Castle. Gathered there was the rest of the Mane 6 and Spike. Twilight wanted to make sure all of them were here for this special announcement. The three Trainers looked on in curiosity, wondering what would be the announcement?
"Alright. You're all here." Twilight clapped her hoofs. "So I'm sure most of you are wondering why we're all gathered here today."
"We are, darling. What's all this about?" Rarity wondered.
"Well...I thought it'd be a good time to reveal something important." Twilight cleared her throat. "We've been dealing with a lot of things for some time now. A lot of threats have come and gone. Some are still around and new ones are just around the corner. One of those new threats we're dealing with is Prisma." Twilight said.
The girls listened on, and the three boys did as well.
"As we all know, we can't have Prisma's power and soul awaken. And the best way to prevent that is to gather the ten counterparts of him, and then use my power, as well as my Twilight's to try and stop Prisma from returning by befriending him and giving him the peace that he needs. And I think I have a way of doing that. A way for us to work far more efficiently than before. We already work as a team, don't we?"
"I'd say we all make a pretty good team, if you ask me." Ash uttered as the girls agreed with him. They sure did. It was their teamwork that helped them overcome so many odds.
"Exactly. Which is why I wanna really cement that part. To make us all an official team! Not just by being around each other but also by name and by duty!" Twilight grinned, making everyone wonder where this was going. "I'm officially forming an official Team! Sort of like a squadron or a taskforce or whatever you want to call it!" Twilight smiled, as the other girls were a little bit surprised. The boys were a little surprised as well. They were surprised that Twilight had thought of something like that.
"F-For real?!" Rainbow Dash couldn't believe her ears. "A-A team?" She looked at the rest of the girls, and then at the boys.
"It sounds amazing!" Pinkie Pie cheered. "I've been waiting for a day like this!"
"Not bad..." Applejack closed her eyes, nodding in agreement. It did sound promising to all of them.
"That's right. I've been thinking of it for a while, and now I've finally thought of it." Twilight nodded. "It'll help us work together better. It's what we all wanted."
"That's pretty awesome, Twi!" Spike cheered.
"So, what are you going to name it?" Rainbow asked, getting a little excited about it. She always had a dream of joining some kind of squad and being part of a team. "What's the team's name?" She couldn't wait to hear it. "Is ist something cool like the Wonderbolts?!"
"Umm... I uh...actually haven't come up with a name yet. I was thinking about it for a while." Twilight blushed in embarrassment.
"No Team Name? No problem." Rainbow Dash shrugged. "We can just give ourselves one."
"That's true. What would it be though? We'll have to brainstorm a little bit on what it'd be called." Rarity hummed.
"Write it down!" Pinkie suddenly held out a piece of paper to her. The Unicorn took it, wondering how Pinkie was able to find paper so fast. Then she wondered why she would be surprised.
"We should have a name that really shows how strong we are. Like 'The Wonderbolts'." Rainbow Dash suggested. "How about the Wonder Six?"
"I don't think that would work well." Fluttershy shook her head. "There's more than six of us after all."
"Hmmm..." Applejack closed her eyes. "It's gonna be six of us, Ash, Red, Ethan, Spike...and I'm guessing way more than that, Twi. So what's a good name for a team of 10 folks and more?"
"Ah!" Spike almost had something, but it left him as quickly as it came. "Wait no...that won't work."
"Got anything?" Pinkie asked as she hopped around. "No rush. We'll get it. Just takes time and some creative thinking." Pinkie Pie smiled, and the others nodded.
"Well, it will also involve all of our Pokemon, obviously. And I do mean all. From all the Pokemon back at Fluttershy's Pokemon House, to even all the Pokemon I have in PokePark." Twilight informed. "That's a lot of numbers to consider. Not only that, but I also made sure to think about this, but I'll need your approval, Ash."
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Please. If possible, could you have the People of the Water join us? If all of Samiya is part of the team too, then we'll be able to work together even more!" She looked at the boy with hopeful eyes.
Ash was taken back by this. But then he thought about it. It was a good idea, but he was worried about what Manaphy would think about that. It was a lot of people to work with, but they needed all the help they could get. As King of the Sea, Ash would allow it.
"Alright. I'll see how they feel. I know they always wanna help me out but I gotta make sure Manaphy is on board with this." He smiled. Twilight returned the smile and hugged him. The boy blushed slightly, not expecting that from her. She quickly let him go, still smiling.
"I know, I'm sorry." Twilight shook her head. "I just really wanted to thank you."
"No worries." He chuckled. "Don't mention it."
"I'm sure Manaphy will agree, so don't worry. This is going to help us in the future, I can tell."
"Absolutely. I think so too." Ash smiled, then looked around the room. He saw that the other girls and boys were also looking around the room, trying to come up with something that would fit. "Alright. Any ideas for the name, everyone?"
"I can think of something..." Ethan said, getting everyone to look at him. "Why not...Team...Unilight?" He grinned.
"Unlight? You're using the name from the Lost Universe?" Twilight asked.
Ethan nodded. "Yeah! It sounds great! What's wrong with it?"
"Hmm...It is a good-sounding name. But Twilight Luminaria was the ruler of Unilight. And frankly, I'm not the biggest fan of her if you ask me. Especially now..." Twilight thought back to her fight with the evil alicorn. "I'm sorry. It's just not a good idea for me. But it does sound cool..."
"Doesn't it?" Ethan nudged.
"We'll think of something eventually." Twilight hit her head. "Either way! I want to make this as big as possible. A lot more members than what we're going to have. And you can guess what I mean by that. Let's reach out to others. Friends from Equestria, Pegalysium, Sinnoh or wherever. The more the better. We'll need all the support that we can get."
"Right!" The girls and boys agreed.
Thus, it was decided. The formation of a team dedicated to stopping Prisma, not just the Universal Alliance, was about to be formed. With all their hands, hooves, paws and claws coming together in one spot, they raised them up, agreeing on this wonderful union as the journey continues.
