My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Creation of a Team like no other
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Afternoon.
The search for team members had begun.
To create the Ultimate Team, they needed all kinds of members, not just Pokemon and Equestrians. Thanks to Rarity, they were able to create promotion flyers and pamphlets to spread across different locations. It was going to take time of course, as these flyers had to go to several different locations with large communities of all kinds of people and creatures. They would only recruit people once enough responses were given back to them.
Naturally, due to how popular Ash was in Equestria, many would probably jump at the chance to join, which was exactly what Twilight Sparkle hoped would happen. Word of mouth spread from Ash to anyone willing to join the group in order to stop threats that loomed across their land and beyond. Some, like those from Cloudsdale, didn't take very seriously, but some took it to heart.
Of course, to join, they had to be very dedicated to this. Up for this was obviously Princess Celestia, who decided to make this a part of the Universal Alliance. This meant working with this Group and becoming allies. Those involved in that would benefit greatly, while not being so heavily relied upon, especially because she had other tasks in line for both factions, and it'd take coordination with the other side of things.
News of this reached the Changeling Hive, which prompted Chrysalis to accept it as well. All those that had great relationships with Ash and his friends were willing to become part of the Team. By working alongside with another group, they were able to achieve more than ever before and really grow into something incredible.
Not all were accepting though, namely Team Rocket's faction. Jessie, James, Meowth and Wobbuffet wouldn't accept this offer from the get-go.
"What's this all about?! Those twerps and twerpettes' are starting their own team?!" Jessie bellowed angrily, almost ripping the poster apart with her bare hands.
"Not a bad choice though. To be honest, I never thought the twerp would ever start his own team outside of just Pokemon." James stated.
"That twerp thinks he can just go ahead and start somethin', and invite anyone who's friends with him? Well, joke's on him! It ain't gonna last!" Meowth snarled, although secretly interested. Being a Teammate with the twerp might be more enjoyable than antagonizing him. Of course, he could never bring that up.
"Woooooobbbb. Wobbuffet." Wobbuffet added.
"But if we join 'em..." Meowth grew curious. "Hmm...Hey. I got an idea. Why don't we work for them?!"
"Gh! Working for the Twerp...?!" Jessie grimaced, trebled and cringed at the thought, her eye twitching.
"Hm...That might work." James saw the vision.
"We use a new base provided to us if we decide to be on this 'Unilight' Team, as this poster states...We stay right under the twerps' noses, waiting until the next target Pokemon appears...we snatch it right away and claim it as ours!" Meowth smirked.
"What kind of sick mind decides that working for your enemy is a good thing?" Jessie frowned, crossing her arms with annoyance.
"It makes a lot of sense actually, Jessie." James noted. "He wouldn't suspect us at all! Plus, we've teamed up with him before."
"Mrrgh...!" Jessie grumbled. "Fine...but if that little twerp suspects us of anything...If any of them do...Grr!" She gritted her teeth in anger, remembering how times where they succeeded fell instantly to failure. She imagined catching a target Pokemon such as a Riolu and Pikachu seeing the opportunity, sending her, James and Meowth blasting off again without fail.
"Just be cool, Jess. As long as they don't suspect a thing, they can't blast us off again." Meowth told her, shrugging.
"Wobbuffet!"
This idea worked in Meowth's favor. Infiltration of this unnamed tea might be interesting indeed...
Twilight's Lab. PokePark.
As the groups continued to gather, not much changed back at the castle as Twilight continued to explain the benefits and rewards for this new group. But she didn't call it a Team. Not yet. This wasn't an official 'Team'. This was a larger force, more of an Organization of a huge variety of trainers, pokemon and more all brought together for a common purpose and goal; That one major goal, along with its other minor purposes and goals, being to stop Prisma from destroying everything and those willing to destroy Ash and is counterparts.
On a whiteboard she held up, she showed all of the current friends of both sides of worlds.
"That means a whole bunch of recruits already. Trainers, Pokemon, Magical Creatures of all shapes and sizes. Ponies, Dragons, Griffons, Changelings and so on. There's a lot to work with."
Speaking of whom, Twilight had made sure to have all those who wanted to join come all the way to Ponyville. Specifically, at PokePark. It was far larger than her castle, after all, meaning it could fit a massive plethora of folks.
Twilight gathered together at least hundreds, if not a thousand volunteers, all ranging from various locations and origins from Earth, which Twilight saw as absolutely ideal. Endorsed by Princess Celestia, a higher echelon of royal princess status, it was easy for everyone to get involved.
Great minds that Twilight knew such as Zero and Starlight Glimmer were obviously involved as well.
Starlight's main job was helping sort out names, backgrounds and individual interests and goals so that when the organization started officially growing, it would be easier to manage everyone. Everyone was also tasked with making badges based on colors. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Purple, Pink and White Badges. Each badge carried an importance that went upward, beginning at Red for basic soldiers and orange for advanced. It was mostly to gauge their strength levels against enemies like Prisma.
Other individuals such as Cadance, Shining Armor, Discord and even Queen Chrysalis were among them, having varying jobs relating to management. This included Discord helping Chrysalis and Shining Armor set the foundation for this new organization and assist other Pokemon.
Such chaos helped to manage things like a benevolent neutral force. He did this all from inside a house that appeared from nothing. He summoned a cup of tea into his hand, sipping quietly as everyone gathered around him.
This badge represented everyone, everypony and everyone else who wanted to become an important part of helping the future. It appeared in the shape of a hexagonal prism. There were four corners representing Humans, Ponies, Pokémon, and a world symbolized by green Earth, resembling PokéBall shapes. It represented the spirit and connection between the worlds, similar to Pokéballs which captured wild Pokémon as easily as possible.
"Hm. Not too bad of a design." Discord held up the badge, viewing its look. "But to do all of this, you'll be putting in all the overtime as possible. Not a problem for me. I never tire ."
"I'll be fine. Even with my job as the Pokemon School's Principal, I can still manage this. Plus, this badge is more than just a badge. We're going to do one final thing with it to really make it special." Twilight would grab the badge with her magic. "We're going to infuse them with everything."
"Are you still sure about that?" Zero walked over, asking Twilight. "Putting so much power into one thing is quite the task. Not that it's impossible, but this little thing?"
"It'll be more than just a badge. XTransceivers are great along with Rotomphones, so we'll keep using them no matter what. But some threats either jam them or destroy them. To prevent that, this badge will help. As long as they're used as part of someone's attire or just a nice decoration, they can be tracked so we can find our members faster."
She paused for a moment as everyone finished making the Badges of this unnamed Organization.
Now, it was time for the badges to be filled. They would all be connected to one single badge that sat in the middle of the table. It was placed down as some of the most powerful magic users and respective energy uses gathered around it.
And this thing was stacked.
All the Alicorn Princesses, Shooting Star from Pegalysium, Axew and Bayleef who were brimming with Rift Energy, Mew, who had the ancestral power of all Pokemon, the magic from Chrysalis, a sprinkle of Vampire Magic from Dimstar, Fantina's newly acquired Lich Magic, Zero's Science, the Elements of Harmony, Chaos Magic, the Light of the Sea Temple, the Light of Arceus from Twilight's Z-Crystal and top it all off, Ash's Aura, assisted by Pikachu.
The culmination of everything everyone has been through, witnessed, experienced or even harnessed came together, finally uniting as one. Some of these went against each other constantly, but now they are working together.
Once all energies converged with one another, it caused a dazzling outburst of pure rainbow energy, taking the shape of wings. Everyone covered themselves from it, barely hanging on as their energies mixed together into a huge storm of bright, colorful power.
All the badges nearby would be affected by this influx, each of them gaining that same power now that they were linked to the central one, changing its design very briefly depending on who touched it. It gained all forms of imagery ranging from natural leaves, scientific tubes, swords and shields, staffs and more that reflected everyone gathered in their eyes.
Finally, the surge stopped, leaving the air pulsating. Those not involved in the merger collapsed onto the ground, feeling exhausted while those that were only breathed heavily.
"And that's that..." Twilight nodded, a confident smile. "Whew...I wasn't prepared for that."
"Yes...Neither was I." Celestia uttered, gasping for air.
"At least we pulled it off..." Ash panted. His arms became heavy, dropping downward. His hat flew off, bouncing in place. "Ooh..."
"That was amazing...!" Luna stared at the colors shining through everyone present, reflecting like crystals in light. "They've fused..."
All sorts of insignias floated down with brilliant sparkles, signifying a connection formed between everyone. Each member approached these special objects carefully as the magic settled into them. Soon, the Badge holders would figure out where and how they'd display them. Perhaps on a shirt or a sash, even on their body itself! Or, they could just keep it in a pocket or store it somewhere close to them. That worked too!
Every bit of contact with the magical essence of this multi-energy creation strengthened those bonds further.
A name had to be given to this badge, which was already tough since a name for this team hasn't been found yet.
"Hmm...For simplicity's sake, let's just call this the Harmony Badge." Celestia suggested. Twilight agreed with that. It was simple but efficient. Now if only they had a team name.
"Ah! How does Team Star sound for our name?!" Starlight recommended
"No...I think that's taken somewhere. Some school kids in Paldea are running with that." Zero shook his head. Team Star was taken. It would certainly be a while before they can properly find a Team Name.
But for now, as it stands, this, organized group of characters had been established, at long last. No more rag-tag teams and cliques coming together just for friendship or romance. These guys, ponies, humans and pokémon were here to stay. Forever.
Kalos. Lumiose City. Lumiose City Gym.
All the way over at Kalos, specifically Lumiose City, news of this broke out to the region, mainly thanks to Sycamore. This new yet unnamed team was being met with the Pokemon Professors who wished to check it out.
And of course, two individuals learned of this. A brother and sister to be exact. None other than Clemont and Bonnie who were at their gym. Clemont looked at his phone and read all of this, almost jumping out of his seat.
"All that? How many do they have?!" He shouted.
Bonnie saw too, grinning widely.
"Look at all those members!" Bonnie exclaimed. "There's even more members of the universal alliance joining too! Ah! I wanna be a member too! Then I'd get to stay around all those ponies, changelings and more! Maybe even meet some new Pokemon!"
"I don't think so. I don't think being part of a team is your style." Clemont shut that down immediately while Bonnie puffed her cheeks.
"You're no fun."
Clemont nodded as he pressed an icon on his phone. A scroll image was suddenly filled to the brim with different profiles of various humans, Pokemon and Ponies. Many were categorized within specific areas of the Organization which would be detailed later down the line.
Some humans came with notes attached with pictures including descriptions written in black writing next to their faces saying "no," while others read "Yes. "Bonnie tried peeking above her brother's shoulder to see what was happening but Clemont shifted away, not wanting his younger sister involved in something like that. Once again, he tapped the scrolling window icon for some strange reason..
Out of the many names presented by Professor Sycamore on her brother's device, several profiles stood out immediately. Two people in particular had very similar profiles side-by-side on opposite ends on either side, but one image caught their attention.
And that was that Ash was a part of this team.
"Oh! Ash!!" Clemont gasped upon seeing Ash's face. It caught him off guard to see Ash a part of this team. He never would've guessed.
"Ash is on it?!" Bonnie gazed in surprise.
"We haven't seen or heard from him in a while and this is what he's doing? Look at how high up he is." Clemont pointed out how each member of this team had different tiers.
At the very top were six individuals. Ash, Twilight, Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis and Cadence. For Princesses, one Queen and one King. A nice combo. Not only were they at the top, but they even had their own occupations and categories. Ash was labelled as The Pokemon Trainer, while Celestia, Luna, Cadance and Chrysalis were labelled The Rulers.
Ash's category also had a name for it. Since he was the most adept at battling there, he was at the top of it. Next and below him were Luna, Rainbow Dash, Spitfire and really anyone that loves Pokemon Battling in that capacity. Everyone else had their own categories at what they specialised in. It was all very organized.
"Hm. How about we do some catching up then?" Clemont looked over at Bonnie, who wholeheartedly agreed. It has been a long time since they've seen Ash and inviting him here was a great way to do that.
Equestria. Ponyville. Twilight's Lab. PokePark.
Now that the members had been sorted as well as the badge, there was another problem outside of just the name of the Team. The base of operations. Where would they all come to? Naturally, a team like this was only going to get bigger and even the PokePark would get crowded with so many people, and while PokePark was ideal for this kind of work, there was a problem. There were a few too many Pokemon in Pokepark that might get in the way, or at least cause more problems than needed. That was why the location needed to be somewhere that was built for a team like this.
"Where will you set up, Twilight? I can't really think of anywhere else, to be honest." Celestia asked her pupil. "There is no place or location in all of Equestria that can handle these numbers when they all want to gather. Perhaps the team as it is now can easily gather in PokePark, but it will grow over time..."
"I'm glad you asked. There's one place we can use. And it's way bigger than it looks. Big enough to house everyone." Twilight's attention was drawn elsewhere. Using her magic, she looked at great distances beyond the PokePark and Ponyville. She was locked onto one location that was still sitting here.
Unilight Palace.
"That's where we'll be staying. I can tell." Twilight answered. "Unilight Palace."
"That place? There's no way it's that big." Rainbow Dash shrugged, finding it hard to believe. Sure it was huge but it couldn't be that huge.
"Oh, it's way bigger inside. Trust me." Applejack vouched for Twilight. She, Rarity and a few others have been in there before and it was far, far bigger on the outside.
"Yes. It even has its own forest." Rarity added. "It's incredibly beautiful and very spacious, perfect for a team like ours. I mean, considering who used to own it and the type of world it comes from it, it's only natural it's that fantastical."
"But to use that place..." Starlight grew worried, thinking of Twilight Luminaria.
"Don't worry about that. After all, technically, it's my palace too." Twilight reassured. It did count as her palace since it came here, specifically responding to her presence. "We'll use it and maybe even change up a few things here and there."
It was decided. They would use Unilight Palace as their mane gathering point. Since this whole thing was centered around stopping Prisma and technically other problems, using the palace that Twilight Luminaria and her parents owned was rather fitting.
With the plan set and everyone in tow, it would take some effort to get it up and running but it was the best location.
Unilight Palace.
They all entered Unilight Palace, finding that it was indeed larger than they thought inside. From the outside, it most resembled Canterlot Castle's size and interior, with its royal decor and the beautiful scenery within, including a garden. There were even more parts that were larger on the inside and resembled the interior of Canterlot Castle.
This was the palace of a royal family that spanned generations in a fantastical universe after all. On top of that, it also had items from that Lost Univers that could be greatly beneficial to them.
"Whoo! Now that's a lot!" Pinkie Pie gaped. The whole castle was so massive. Even Celestia and Luna were impressed. It was even more grand than they expected, with a lot of hallways and corridors to get lost in. The sheer scale was so huge, especially the gardens.
"I'm glad you like it." Twilight smiled. It was hers to use anyway, so why not?
She would lead everyone deeper into the Palace. There was a huge hall with many doors and pathways to venture off to.
"I've never been this far into Unilight Palace, so I can't say I know what we're going to see." Twilight told them, walking forward.
"Well, it ain't gonna hurt. Might as well take a look-see." Applejack shrugged, going forward. "I hope there's more space. We've got lots of folks that'll need a nice, comfy room if they get tired and wanna rest up."
"If the owner was as grand and powerful as I've heard, then I imagine it to be so, yes." Celestia replied. As her guards, the Samiyan Guards and other guards of all kinds were helping manage the interior, there was one other thing to discuss. "So...Who is the Leader of all of this? A team isn't complete without a leader."
"Well, it's gotta be you, Twilight," Ash answered. "You came up with it, so it's all you." Everyone was on board, especially Celestia.
"Me?! I was hoping you'd be the leader, Ash! You're far stronger than I am!" Twilight protested.
"Strength doesn't always make a leader. Well, it does, but not in the physical or even magical sense sometimes." Celestia stated. "I'm a leader because of different kinds of strength. And you have one of those strengths."
"Yep. Besides, I'm not really the leader type. That's more your stuff." Ash laughed.
"Can't you be the leader, Princess Celestia? You're already experienced in all of this." Twilight asked.
"I have Equestria and the Universal Alliance to run, Twilight. And as I've said, a Team like this is a lot to handle. And if anyone can handle this team and run it, it's you." She responded, knowing her pupil had the potential in her. "This team's success lies in your hooves, Twilight."
She wasn't sure, but she did want this to succeed. It was why she took charge of it in the first place. And as Princess of Friendship, she couldn't back down from that. "Alright...I'll be the leader then. But only for now."
Even though she said it was practically temporary, Celestia knew her pupil had that potential. After all, she became the Principal of the Pokemon School. As they all conversed in this massive castle as a team, Twilight turned to a large portrait on the wall. A portrait of Twilight Luminaria. She looked at it, vowing one thing that Twilight Luminaria could have never done.
"I'll stop Prisma. But not in the way you want to."
As the journey continues.
