Equestria. Near Ponyville. Unilight Palace. Day.

After opening a book titled 'Lineage of Luminaria', two unexpected spells revealed themselves. One was to show them all the full map layout of what Unilight used to be and the specific locations of its many landmarks and the other was the sudden summoning of an alicorn who resembled all 5 of Twilight's friends put together.

The alicorn smiled and gave a regal bow. "It's been a long time, Your Radiance."

"Ngh...W-Who are you?" Rainbow Dash asked while still shaking violently. "And why do you look like us?!"

"Oh, my. Let me take on a form that's less shocking to you all." The alicorn then closed her eyes. Her form glowed and changed, her body shifted, and her features changed as well, taking on the form that would better suit her without seeming disorienting to others. Once that was done, the glow faded, and the alicorn's true form was revealed.

This time, her physical appearance was a lot less like her friends' but more like Twilight's, but with a different style. Her body was of the same coat as Applejack, albeit slightly darker. Her mane was now a celestial blue colour, with hints of pink and yellow mixed in, with a curly design and a braid. Her eyes were now a beautiful pink much like Rainbow Dash as she completed her appearance with a beautiful white dress.

"There. That better?" She asked, smiling. The girls would eventually stop shaking, their eyes opened and they were able to move once again. They were still a bit confused and scared, but they were relieved to be able to control their bodies again. They looked at the alicorn, who was still smiling at them.

"W-What was that...?" Rarity took heavy breaths. "What did you do to us?"

"Ah, my sincerest apologies. First, let me introduce myself. My name is Harmony. I am the Spirit of the Tree of Harmony, the same tree that you all were bestowed upon your Elements." Harmony explained. "I am the embodiment of the Elements of Harmony, and I am here to guide you on your journey."

Twilight was in disbelief. "The...Spirit of Harmony?" This was the first time she had ever heard of something like this.

Harmony giggled. "Oh, you must have many questions. Don't worry. I'm more than happy to explain everything." She said. "You've learned of the Lost Universe, yes?"

"Yeah! For starters, why did you look like us?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. The rest of them needed to know due to how perplexing it was.

"Oh, that? Simple. I'm more than just the Spirit of the Tree. For you see, from my world, I am all five of you fused into one being." The girls gasped at this.

"Fused into one...?" Rarity was in shock. After pausing for a moment, they all screamed in unison.

"YOU'RE US?!" They all yelled, completely in shock. They couldn't believe what they were hearing.

"From the Lost Universe, yes. We all became one being, a being known as Harmony." Harmony said. "We were all once friends in my universe. We all lived together in Unilight. Wonderful, isn't it? I'd say I feel rather nostalgic seeing myself in different parts. But I feel far better since you after so long, Your Radiance. Even if you are smaller than usual."

"Wow...That makes you our incarnation then!" Pinkie put it together. Since Prisma and Twilight Luminaria were the incarnations of Ash and Twilight Sparkle, respectively, that meant that Harmony was also an incarnation of the girls.

"Mhm. For that...how about we celebrate?" Showing the part of her that was Pinkie Pie, Harmony smiled and summoned a cake with her magic. The girls were met with the sight of decorations rapidly filling the room, manifesting and materializing out of thin air, as balloons, banners, and streamers appeared all around them. They couldn't believe their eyes as they watched the once empty space transform into a party setting. It was a truly magical sight that left them speechless.

"Ah...It's my Dream Magic..." Pinkie Pie felt like fainting. So did Mew. Both of them wished they could easily generate decorations and food like that. It felt like a dream seeing all of this appear, but it wasn't.

"Hang on! You're going too fast-" Rainbow Dash was cut off. She wanted more answers than just her being the fusion of her friends, but the manifestation of a balloon statue landed on her, leaving only her head to stick out of it. "Ugh..."

"Let's celebrate!" Harmony smiled. She was a very cheery pony, retaining Pinkie Pie's joy. "I'm so glad to be back! But I'm also glad to see that Her Radiance succeeded in inheriting the palace once more! You truly are a natural genius, Your Radiance!"

"Um...Thanks?" Twilight wasn't sure how to respond. She didn't know if she should be flattered or concerned. She wasn't used to being praised for something she didn't even know she was doing. "But anyways...I have so many questions. Just like Scione or even those pixies, you're someone that lived that lost universe. Why did you show up now?"

"Why now? It was something you planned from the start, Your Radiance. You were the one to order that when the times comes, either one of your reincarnations, which you are yourself, would inherit the Unilight Palace. Once that happens, I'd return to your side. You told me to wait until you inherited it and here we are." She giggled. "I always knew you could do it. It's only natural."

"Hah...Great." Twilight sighed, lowering her head. She was the one who decided to make this the main base for the One Light Team and it was both a benefit and a problem, especially now. She unintentionally carried out one of Twilight Luminaria's wishes, something she really didn't want to do at all in any capacity, aside from stopping Prisma, but that had its own route. "So, why did you all fuse into one? What would you need that for? For Prisma, maybe?"

"Oh, no, no. We fused for a different reason. Not for a threat, but for to be by your side. You also requested that we fuse into one being and become the spirit of Harmony. We were more than happy to do it." Harmony replied.

"W-Why would she even ask for that if there wasn't a threat?" Twilight didn't understand that at all. It seemed rather pointless since this fusion was permanent by the looks of it.

"Duh. Since we're friends in this world, then obviously, they were all friends with her in the lost universe!" Pinkie Pie said. "And because you two are incarnations, that's gotta apply to the lost universe as well! Right, Harmony?"

"Eeeeeehhhh..." Harmony grimaced, looking to the side as the answer was not that clear-cut.

"Wait, what? Are you saying that's not the case? Did she not see her friends as friends?" Twilight was in shock. Her friends didn't know what to think, either.

"Well, Her Radiance doesn't really lean all that into friendship, to say the least. Not even with me. To her, I'm just an assistant and not much else." Harmony explained. "And even at such a young age too, she kept to herself a lot. I still remember it even after all this time..."

Harmony could still remember it all clearly. The day her five parts met Twilight Luminaria and how their emergence as Harmony came to be.

The Lost Universe. Unilight. Celestia City. Day.

Harmony remembered that day like it was yesterday.

All five of her were still their own beings and they all met at a place known as Celestia City. That was where Twilight Luminaria's family resided. It was a beautiful, elegant and luxurious city with tall buildings and busy streets. It was a city that was always alive and bustling with energy. The city was known for its beautiful architecture, its rich history, and its vibrant culture.

It was a place that everyone loved to be. But despite the beautiful cityscape and all the hustle and bustle of the city, it wasn't exactly a paradise for everyone, though it would certainly appear that way on the outside. One of those was the Princess, the young girl known as Twilight Luminaria. In the middle of this massive and beautiful city was the Unilight Palace, where Twilight Luminaria resided with her family.

It was a beautiful, opulent palace, surrounded by lush gardens and fountains. It was the kind of place that anypony would dream of living in. And five girls certainly felt the same way.

Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Pinkie Pie, all of whom had come from different backgrounds, different walks of life and different places across the world had all gathered here for the sole reason of meeting her Highness, the soon-to-be queen, Princess Twilight Luminaria. Why did these girls gather and why were they all called?

The reason is simple: They all have something in common. They are all special, chosen to receive the power of the Elements of Harmony, since they were chosen. They were similar to how they are in the current universe, albeit slightly older.

But the day that they met the princess was one of the most significant moments in their lives. They were about to meet a pony who would become a major part of their lives. A pony who was the heir of a great nation that ruled all of Equestria, Unilight, a pony that was known for her intellect and power, and a pony who was a true leader.

As they were all summoned, they met the young princess, and her parents. Twilight Luminaria, even at that age, looked regal and powerful, staring the five of them down.

"Ohoo...Look at all of this!" Rainbow Dash looked all around, admiring the sights of the castle. "This is amazing!" She couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated, but she was also excited. She knew that she was going to meet a pony that she could admire, someone that she could look up to and respect. She knew that she had to make a good impression in the face of such fame.

"Oh, my. I can't believe this!" Rarity exclaimed. She had never been in such a grand palace before. It was so different from the farm she had lived on, and she felt like she didn't belong in this world. But she knew that this was an opportunity of a lifetime, and she couldn't pass it up. She had to make a good impression in front of the royalty. "Heh...I must be dreaming~"

"Whoa...We're in the same place as the princess..." Pinkie Pie's jaw had dropped to the floor, her eyes wide. She was starstruck. She was meeting the princess in person. It was something she never imagined happening, but here it was.

Fluttershy had never felt more anxious. It was one thing to be a guest at a place that she was uninvited to. But this time, it was a completely different situation. She had been invited and brought into a place she was expected to be, and that was the hardest part for her. "Ummm...Are you sure we're supposed to be here?" She had asked, feeling more and more anxious as time went on.

"They called for us and no one else, so it has to be us. Don't worry, sugarcube. It'll all work out just fine. I'm sure they're nice folk." Applejack reassured her. She was the most composed, just like the other three. After all, this wasn't their first rodeo. She'd seen plenty of things in her time and was no stranger to the occasional fancy gathering.

A powerful stomp caught their attention, making the girls startle as two tall figures stood before them. Two ponies that the girls couldn't help but recognize.

One of them was a male Unicorn, who was dressed in a golden armor and a golden helmet that covered his entire head. He was a tall and muscular pony, and his horn was long and curved, giving him the appearance of a powerful warrior. His fur was a deep, dark red, almost like a black hole, and his eyes were a bright and intense yellow. His tail was a deep, rich black and his mane was a light grey.

The other was a female Unicorn, who was wearing a white dress and a white crown, and her long, straight mane was a deep, dark blue with a tinge of black at the tips. She was tall and elegant, with a regal bearing that was matched only by her grace and poise. She was a true queen, and her presence commanded respect. Her eyes were a bright and intense green and she had a long, slender tail that was the same colour as her mane. She had a small, white flower in her mane, which gave her an air of innocence and purity.

They all knew these ponies very well. King Night Light and Twilight Velvet, the rulers of Unilight. Very much different-looking than their current selves, the rulers were both tall, imposing, and very regal-looking ponies.

"Your Majesties!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, shocked to be in the presence of these ponies. "It's a great honour to meet you!" She and her four friends had always admired the rulers and their reign, and it was a great privilege to be able to meet them in person.

Rainbow Dash couldn't believe that she was standing in the same room as them and she couldn't wait to hear what they had to say. But it was also clear to her that these two weren't as friendly as they had imagined, looking far more serious than she had expected. It was a lot more intimidating than she had thought it would be.

Fluttershy, however, was the most scared. She was trembling, her heart racing as she looked up at the rulers of Unilight. She had heard so much about them and the fact that they were standing in front of her was almost overwhelming.

Rarity, meanwhile, was in complete awe of the King and Queen of Unilight, their presence making her feel small and insignificant in comparison. She couldn't believe she was actually meeting them, let alone that she was in the same room as them. She couldn't help but feel like a little filly in the face of such power and prestige. "My goodness..." Rarity murmured, her eyes wide.

Applejack was the one who was the most composed. "Howdy, yer highnesses." She greeted, tipping her hat. "It's an honor to meet the likes of you."

"Thank you for coming," King Night Light said, his voice deep and regal. "It's a pleasure to have you here. You five are here for one reason that you'll be glad to hear. Together, you five managed to defeat Nightlash after her revival." The girls all looked at each other with a hint of shock.

"Oh yeah, that!" Pinkie Pie said, as the five of them remembered that.

Nightlash, the dark queen, was a figure of legend. She was a powerful, ruthless and dangerous pony who had been sealed away in the darkest depths of the underworld for centuries. After her revival, she would have unleashed an unspeakable evil onto the world. It was said that she could control the very fabric of the universe itself and had the power to bend the wills of others. Her return was heralded by dark omens and her power had grown so strong that even the bravest of ponies were powerless against her. But the five girls, despite being terrified and not as ready as they are now, worked together and stopped her.

"You were able to defeat a powerful enemy, one that we didn't foresee happening. Because of this, the princess herself decided that she wanted to meet you five, and reward you."

"Well, it was by mere coincidence, honestly." Rarity giggled. "We just happened to be in the right place, at the right time, with the right essentials, you could say..."

"I mean, we just came across her and she was a pain to beat..." Rainbow Dash admitted. "If you had been there, it would've been no sweat!"

"It was hard for all of us, that's for certain." Applejack agreed.

King Night Light shook his head. "Oh, no-no. That was no coincidence. It was Fate. Destiny. A sign." The five of them didn't understand that.

"A sign?" They all asked. Twilight Luminaria had told her parents about the Elements of Harmony and that she was chosen by the Tree of Harmony itself. Night Light had no doubts about that being the case. After all, who wouldn't trust the word of their child? "You five were destined to be the ones to take her down, as chosen by the Tree of Harmony. That's the only possible explanation."

"Chosen...by the Tree of Harmony?" Rainbow Dash couldn't wrap her head around this. It made her feel special to have been chosen to do such a thing, but it also scared her a little. She didn't know if she could live up to such expectations or if she was worthy enough to be chosen.

"Oh my goodness." Rarity's eyes widened, and a feeling of excitement filled her. "Chosen by the Tree of Harmony...It sounds like a fairytale...!"

"Are you serious?!" Pinkie Pie gasped in excitement. She had heard of the Tree of Harmony, and she was amazed to learn that it had chosen her to help defeat the evil queen. She had never thought she would have such an opportunity, and she couldn't wait to get started.

Fluttershy's eyes widened as she heard what the King said. She couldn't believe it. She had been chosen to be one of the ones to take down an evil queen? It was a lot to take in and she felt overwhelmed.

"Well, that does explain how we did it. Guess we got ourselves a job to do." Applejack had always known that her life would lead her down an unexpected path. But she never could have imagined the adventure that awaited her and her friends. With the weight of the world resting on their shoulders, Applejack knew that the journey ahead was going to be a tough one. But she was determined to make it through and make sure that the world was safe. She had always been a leader, and now was the time for her to step up and take the lead in this quest.

"Yes. You five were chosen to become the wielders of the Elements of Harmony. These powerful elements were created to help maintain harmony and balance in the world, but also act as weapons against those who seek to destroy it. They were forged long ago by the first pony to rule over this nation." Night Light explained.

The five of them had heard of these before, but didn't expect that this was their true purpose.

Twilight Velvet then spoke, "The Tree knew you five would come and fulfil that prophecy, which is why it called you here. But we can talk about this more later. First, there's someone you have to meet." Twilight Velvet said as she and Night Light moved aside. "Please meet your Highness and our daughter, the princess, Twilight Luminaria!"

"Twilight...Luminaria?" The girls all had their eyes on the throne that Twilight Velvet pointed at. Sure enough, a young princess walked forward.

It was Twilight Luminaria, the current incarnation of the alicorn sitting in the middle of them. The same purple coat, the same multi-coloured that represented her reincarnations and the same blue eyes.

"Whoa...That's her..." Rainbow Dash's jaw had dropped. She couldn't believe her eyes, and neither could the other four. They were all staring at the young alicorn in front of them, with her purple fur and her horn and her beautiful eyes, all of which were shining in the dim light of the room.

The sight of the princess made the five of them feel a strange mixture of awe, respect and fear. They had heard of the power of this alicorn and they knew she was no pushover. She was to be the future leader of Unilight.

The alicorn looked at them, and they felt their hearts skip a beat. Her presence was so commanding that they felt their bodies tense up as they looked at her.

"For you see, she is the sixth element. Magic." Night Light added.

"Magic, huh? Well, that makes sense, seeing as she is the princess and a very gifted unicorn, no doubt." Rarity nodded. She couldn't believe that they were in the presence of the princess of Unilight and she was honoured to meet her.

"She is gifted in magic. More that anyone. The Element of Magic will be her element to control and use." Twilight Velvet explained. "It's a lot to process, I'm sure. We can go over the details at another point, if that is alright."

"So, you must be the ponies my mother and father have decided to call over." Twilight said. She was much more stoic than how the girls had envisioned her. She sounded more like a professional than a child.

"I...Uh...Yeah, we're them! The ones that you sent for!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, a little nervous.

"Indeed. We are all of those ponies, your highness. And it is a true pleasure to meet you. We are honoured to be in your presence and look forward to getting to know you." Rarity smiled. She was feeling a little nervous, but was trying her best to hide it. She was trying to make the best of a nerve-wracking situation and hoped that the princess was understanding of the situation.

Fluttershy nodded. "Y-Yes. I-It's a pleasure..." She stammered. She was feeling a bit intimidated, but she was doing her best to keep her cool.

Applejack chuckled and said, "We're just a bunch of regular ol' ponies, but it's an honour to be in the same room with ya. We'll do whatever we can to help out." She said with a bow.

Pinkie Pie was the same as Rarity and Fluttershy. She was also feeling a little bit shy, but she still had a huge smile on her face. "Oh my goodness, I can't believe I'm actually meeting you!" She said. "I've heard so much about you and I'm just so excited!"

Twilight looked at them with an intense gaze, as if she was analyzing them, judging them. The girls didn't know what to say, they felt a bit intimidated. The silence lasted a few minutes until the princess spoke. "Regular is right." That made them raise their eyebrows. They expected more, not just a simple sentence.

"H-Huh?" Fluttershy asked, tilting her head a bit.

"What?" Applejack asked, not expecting such a blunt answer from a Princess.

"I mean, you five are nothing special. Just a group of normal, common ponies. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less." Twilight said in such a matter-of-fact tone. "You're the ones the tree predicted?"

"Nothing special...?" Rainbow Dash felt her heart sink. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had expected a much different reaction, one that would make her feel proud, and yet she felt disappointed. She wanted to be recognized for her achievements and her courage, not just seen as an ordinary pony. It was a hard pill to swallow.

"I'm not one to doubt the tree's judgment but..." She said. "It seems as if we have some more work to do." She turned to her parents. "Mother, Father. I have some things I need to go over. So, you can send these five home, or they can stay here. I have work to do." Twilight Luminaria then walked off, not even taking the chance to get to know the five, nor showing any care for the girls. They didn't know how to feel about that. She had just turned them away and acted like she was too busy for them. They had no idea what she was going to do next.

"That was...Unexpected." Rarity was at a loss for words. She had never met anyone so dismissive before, and it left her feeling a little uneasy.

"Uh, okay." Pinkie Pie said, feeling a little confused. Her happiness would drop greatly after that, but she tried to keep her spirits up=.

"I suppose we can go back home." Fluttershy said, feeling a bit hurt by Twilight's words. She had hoped to make a good first impression on the princess, but it seemed like she had failed.

"Yer highnesses?" Applejack asked, not sure how to respond. "We can stay and help her?"

Night Light sighed and shook his head, not expecting his daughter to be this dismissive and cold. "Please forgive her for that. She's still young. I'm sure you can stay and help. She could use a little extra help. You can stay at the castle for as long as you like. In the meantime, please get to know the place, and enjoy your time here. The castle is yours."

Twilight Velvet nodded. "Yes, of course. You're all welcome here." She added, smiling at the girls. "I'm sorry about Twilight, but I assure you, she is a good person."

"Yer highness, are you sure we should?" Applejack asked, not wanting to seem like she was overstepping her bounds.

"Absolutely, dear. Please, feel free to explore and get to know the place. We want you all to be comfortable and welcome." She reassured the girls. "I'll make sure you get everything you need. After all, now that you five have been chosen, great things will come from this, I promise."

Rainbow Dash and the others were taken aback by the king and queen's generosity. They were still a little confused about the Princess and what the Tree of Harmony had to do with them, but they were glad to be in such a welcoming and hospitable environment. They all decided to make the best of their time here, exploring and getting to know the place.

The girls all spent the rest of the day getting acquainted with the place, exploring and learning about the different aspects of the castle and its inhabitants. It wasn't long before nightfall came, and the five of them were all in bed, in the same room, ready to sleep. But there was still a feeling of uncertainty in the air, as the girls didn't know how to approach the Princess or the Elements of Harmony that they were chosen to wield. Even with all the exploring and learning they had done throughout the day, they still couldn't shake the feeling of unease.

"That was a bit of a bummer...." Rainbow Dash commented as she sat on the bed.

"Sure was..." Rarity agreed, sitting next to her. She had hoped that the princess would be a bit more friendly and inviting, but instead, she seemed to have a cold, uncaring attitude that put a bit of a damper on the whole experience.

"I don't think we're going to get much help from her..." Pinkie Pie sighed. "I was really looking forward to this and I thought she would be nicer!"

Fluttershy had been silent throughout the conversation, but now she spoke up. "Well, it is what it is...we're still going to try, right?" she said softly. She was trying to be optimistic and make the best of the situation, even if she felt like they had been snubbed a little.

"I reckon so, Fluttershy. I guess...We'll just have to give it our best shot." Applejack chimed in, trying to lift the spirits of her friends.

The five girls talked a bit more, but eventually, they all decided it was best to go to sleep, hoping the morning would bring a better chance to talk to Twilight and try to figure out what the Tree of Harmony was about and why they were chosen to be a part of it. They each got comfortable in their beds, and one by one, they all drifted off to sleep, hoping the morning would bring a better chance for them to get to know the Princess and figure out what they had to do.

Twilight, meanwhile, was in her room. Her own personal chamber with a large, comfy bed. She had her own desk, bookshelves filled with many kinds of books and other literature, as well as a large mirror to the side and a window to look outside and admire the view of the kingdom of Unilight.

This was outstandingly neat, fancy and decorated with the most lavish and expensive furnishings that were available. It was a reflection of the status and power of the alicorn and was a place where she could relax and recharge, away from the pressures and demands of her royal position. It was a sanctuary of sorts, a place where she could find solace and peace and escape from the outside world.

But she wasn't focused on anything around her, only her work and her studies. The books were scattered on the floor, each one containing a different piece of information. She was looking for answers to questions that no one else had thought of, or dared to ask.

The only source of light came from the single lamp that lit her table, giving her enough light to see the pages of the book she was reading. The room was silent and peaceful, with no sound other than the rustling of the pages.

Twilight was studying, as she always was. Reading books and doing her research, like always. She always studied and worked hard to be the best. She always strived for excellence, no matter what it was she was studying or researching. It didn't matter how late she had to stay up, she was determined to learn all that she could.

There was nothing she loved more than the pursuit of knowledge. She was passionate and dedicated to the task at hand. She had an almost insatiable appetite for learning, and would spend hours poring over her books, searching for the answers she was looking for.

But she also felt a deep sense of responsibility. She was the Princess of Unilight and the wielder of the Element of Magic. She was determined to protect the entire nation from any threat that may come. She knew she had a lot of work ahead of her, and she was willing to put in the effort to ensure the safety of the kingdom and its people.

"Princess, it's getting late..." She heard a knock on her door. "Would you care for a snack?" The voice of her caretaker and childhood friend rang through.

"I'm fine. Just continue on." Twilight said in a cold, stoic voice. "I'll have some breakfast later on."

The voice of her caretaker was filled with sadness. She was worried about Twilight and didn't understand why she was being so cold. "Oh, Princess..." she sighed.

"Excuse me." Walking past the caretaker was Twilight Velvet and King Night Light.

"Twilight?" King Night Light called out to his daughter, walking in front of the caretaker who then bowed her head. The two rulers knew Twilight's routine. She was always in her study, reading and researching. They had been watching her since she was a little filly and they knew that she had a great capacity for knowledge. She had an insatiable appetite for learning and was always pushing herself to be better and do more.

The door was opened slowly and the King and Queen stepped in, finding Twilight at her desk, as expected.

"Mother. Father. What is it?" Twilight asked, not bothering to look up. She was too busy studying.

"We just wanted to check on you," Night Light said gently. "It's getting late. You should get some rest, my dear. It's not healthy for you to be up so late."

"I'll sleep later, I promise. This is important, and I need to finish it before the night ends. I don't know when I'll be able to do this." She answered, her tone serious. "You should go and get some sleep as well."

Night Light looked at his wife, concerned.

Twilight Velvet stepped in. "Twilight, honey, I'm worried about you." She walked towards her, putting her hooves on her daughter's shoulders. She looked down at the desk and saw that it was covered with papers. "What is it you're working on? It's not something that should take up your whole night."

"It's important. It has to be done. It can't wait, no matter how late it is." She responded.

"Well, alright. But there's one other thing we need to talk to you about. It's your 5 new allies." Twilight Velvet uttered.

"You're already asking about them? Don't bother, I won't need them. Not now or ever. They'll be a hindrance." She was adamant and determined. She had no time for distractions.

"You know that's not true. They've already proven themselves." Twilight Velvet said. "The tree doesn't lie and those five are to be your greatest allies. I'd even argue that they could be your friends as well."

"They're a liability. They're inexperienced and I don't have time for them. I'd be wasting my energy if I tried to train them. Besides, they'd only slow me down and I don't need any help. I can do this on my own."

"I don't think that's the right attitude to have." Night Light interjected.

"It's not?" She asked.

"It's not about you, it's about the team. You all need to work together, or you'll fail. We're not saying you have to be best friends, but you do have to work together and respect each other." Night Light explained.

"Look, Twilight. You're the one who has to lead this group. You have to make sure that everyone works together and that they have the same goals in mind." Twilight Velvet added. "If you're not working together, then it's going to be hard to get anything done. We know it's hard for you, but you have to at least give them a chance."

"Fine. I'll give them a chance. If they have potential, then I'll help them reach it." Twilight closed her eyes, deciding to chime in, bringing sighs of relief to her parents. "But, I don't plan on being friends with them. Friendship isn't neccessary."

"Well, that's good to hear, but don't you think you're missing out on something?" Twilight Velvet asked.

"No." She responded coldly, sticking to her original plan.

"Well, it's getting late, so we'll leave you to it. Tomorrow is when you and the five of them can get to know each other and work towards whatever goals you may have. I know it will be hard, but you're the Princess. You have to do it. You're the one who has the ability to lead them." Night Light said as the two began walking off.

"Good night, dear. Don't stay up too late." Twilight Velvet added before they closed the door.

"I won't..." Twilight said in her mind, going back to her work. The sound of papers being moved filled the room, and the only other sound was the ticking of the clock on the wall.

And as they left, she said something. The reason for why she deemed such a beautiful thing as friendship to be irrelevant. Pointless even. All because of one factor she knew and very few did.

"...There's no point in friendship...if this Universe will reset like the others anyways."

As the journey continues.
