My Little Pokémon: Grander World
One Light
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Near Ponyville. Unilight Palace. Late Afternoon.
Back at the palace, a discussion was taking place between the Professors and a select group of people, mainly the Princesses. The topic was the team that was in the process of forming. However, a name was needed, a name that would represent the entire team, the goals, the mission, the occupations, the roles, the purpose, the enemies, everything. Something that could encapsulate the hopes, aspirations, and passions of each and every member of this new team.
"Let's see, names that can fit the purpose, that could cover all of the aspects of the organization, and is suitable, hm, that's tough. Do you have any ideas, professors?." Celestia asked, turning to the group. Each was given a book of the Lost Universes information on the Organizations, specifically their names. Some had a bit of a laugh reading the weird and funny-sounding names. Others, not so much.
"Hm. How about this one?" Professor Rowan pointed at the book in his lap, showing the name of an Organization that was active 40 years ago in the lost universe, which read 'One Light' and then a list of details.
"Ah! That's it!" Twilight gasped, loving that name. She turned to Luna and Chrysalis and they were equally as amazed. "I love that!"
"So, that's a winner?" Sycamore questioned.
"Yep! It's a fitting name, and I'm glad to hear it's liked." Celestia was satisfied with that. One Light was the official name of the team, an organization dedicated to preserving the peace and harmony of the worlds and its people and creatures, and was ready to fight against any enemy that threatened its existence. Now the name was decided, a logo was in store.
"Perfect! So I can finally use this?!" Rarity and a few other ponies already designed the logo and were waiting for the title to be found. The logo was the same as the badge. Twilight gave the approval and a projector in the center of the room appeared, and shined a bright image onto the wall.
With Celestia using her magic, she would write the team name in gold, and the words were surrounded by an aurora borealis that would occasionally change colour, a magical, yet natural sight. On the bottom of the word, was the Badge's design. A heart and a PokeBall combined into a single entity. Underneath the words were a bunch of stars that represented the 88 known constellations in their world.
"There we go. Now, you're fully complete." Celestia smiled, making a quick nod. This team was 100% finished aside from when new members join.
The title was soon printed on the front of the palace gates, a sign of the Team's beginning. Everyone was in agreement, the title and the symbol that would stand the test of time.
From here on out, One Light would serve the purpose that was expected, the duty that was bestowed on the shoulders of its members, to protect the peace and prosperity of the entire world and its denizens, no matter what comes their way. Whether it was the return of an old enemy or the emergence of a brand new threat. And this, is the end of the beginnings and the start of something grand and epic.
Nightfall.
As Nightfall hit, many were home, fast asleep and getting a well-deserved rest. Some Pokemon even hung around Unilight Palace, sleeping in there with their respective trainers who fell asleep in here afterwards. Peaceful snoring was heard, and a majority of the rooms were quiet.
With the day's activities completed, the castle was silent and calm. The only source of light in the night sky were the moon and the stars, and a gentle breeze wafted through the windows of the palace, cooling the inhabitants in the summer warmth. Everything was at ease, a peacefulness that enveloped the land and lulled its occupants to slumber. No one could predict or expect that an unexpected visitor was arriving.
Specifically, from one of the books.
In the library, all the various books of the Lost Universe sat unassumingly, as they should. All except for one, and that was a certain book, a specific tome that was glowing faintly.
With no one in the room, it was impossible to know or see the light emanating from the book that was placed upon a pedestal, the golden letterings of the title glowing in the darkness. This book responded for one reason only. The activities that took place on this day had caused it to react. After so long, it was finally active, almost as if it had a mind of its on.
The book glowed brighter, and a beam of light shot out from its cover, and the book itself opened, as if on its own accord. The pages flipped rapidly as the letters and symbols on the pages glowed a brilliant white. The light grew brighter and brighter, until the book glowed like a miniature sun. The light was so intense that it could be seen from outside the library, and the book's pages began to flip faster and faster, the light growing ever brighter.
Spotting this was Absol and some nocturnal Pokemon. All the way over at Twilight's Castle, he managed to see the light as his horn vibrated. That told him that a potential disaster was coming, but he was unsure.
"Sol?!" He gasped as the light would fade away moments later, everything becoming silent once more. However, Absol knew what he saw and now had something to tell Twilight and her friends.
Day.
Once morning came, Absol rushed to the palace, needing to show Twilight what happened last night. He was the first to wake up as his horn was reacting to it. He was quick to wake Twilight up and she was shocked to see her friend awake this early. He was always awake after everyone else.
"Slow down, Absol!" Twilight said, her eyes widening as she tried to catch up with him, following his lead and trying to figure out his words. "What's the matter?"
Absol wasn't saying much, he was just trying to show Twilight to follow him, leading to her to the library. But as soon as they got there, to their shock, there was no Library. Not anymore.
"A-Absol?!" Absol gasped along with Twilight, both wide-eyed and stunned at the sight. This was the same place as yesterday, right?
"Where'd the library go?!" Twilight exclaimed. In the place of the Library was a massive hole that went down. There was no telling how deep it was. Just how far did this go?
This wasn't the only place that had a massive hole. In the other side was the same exact hole that went down just as far as the one in the Library. The two holes were connected and there was a large space between them, as the holes were on opposite sides, in the middle was a large space that had a platform. On said platform was a table and two thrones on both ends. The floor was made of marble and had the same insignia as the Team's logo, with the words One Light imprinted into the middle.
"Absol?!" Absol couldn't believe this and neither could Twilight.
"All those books...gone! How'd this even happen?!" Twilight said. "Just what's going on here!?"
It didn't look like there was a fight here, the place was mostly intact. Rarity and the others showed up, hearing Twilight scream in confusion. They all saw this massive hole that replaced the Library and were just as shocked as Twilight was.
"What's this, then? What happened here?" Rarity gasped. She wasn't sure if she should be upset, or relieved that her hard work wasn't destroyed.
"What's with the hole?" Rainbow Dash spoke, looking down. She was curious to know just what was down there. "Is it safe to fly in?"
"Probably. It looks like there's nothin' down there." Applejack said. She didn't see any danger. It was just a massive pit.
"I'll fly in." Rainbow Dash was always up for adventure and was ready to fly in and explore.
"Rainbow Dash, don't!" Twilight warned, not wanting her to risk it. For all she knew, there could still be something there to hurt someone, and this was a lot more than she had ever seen in her life. Quickly, Rainbow Dash jerked back and nodded, agreeing to stay away from the hole for now, as she didn't want to get herself into any kind of trouble.
"Who could've done this?" Fluttershy asked, her eyes wide with wonder. The others were just as puzzled as she was, and they all looked around to see if they could find any clues or hints as to who was responsible for the sudden change in the palace. This was the question they all had and needed to be answered. But there were no signs, no clues. At least, that's what they thought, until they noticed the book that was left behind on a pedestal. It was glowing and the title read: "The Luminaria Lineage."
They took a closer look, and they saw the golden letterings that spelled out the name of the book. The book itself was a tome of considerable size, with a leather binding that was worn and faded in places, indicating its age. The pages were yellowed with time, but the text inside was still legible and the illustrations were still vibrant and detailed, despite the passage of time. The book was a work of art, and its contents held a wealth of knowledge and insight about its namesake.
"The Luminaria Lineage?" Rarity read the title. She, like the others, didn't understand what this book was about, but it was left here, in the Library and now, all that was left in the massive hole was this book and nothing else. "Twilight, do you think it could have something to do with the massive hole?"
"It could be." Twilight had the same idea. "This is the only thing that was left here, after all."
"Well, then, open it up and let's take a peek!" Rainbow Dash suggested. "What's the worst that could happen?" It was obvious she wanted to know more about the hole and its origins, and she was eager to get to the bottom of the mystery.
So, with that, Twilight took the Book and opened the first page. To their shock, the book was blank. All of the Pages, front to back, were all blank. Nothing was on these pages. It was a blank book. But why?
"Blank? Seriously?" Rainbow groaned. She wanted to know what was going on.
"Oh. Well, this is quite odd." Rarity was a little confused. Why make an entire book and leave nothing on it?
"Let's see, there's gotta be somethin' in this book, right? There's gotta." Applejack was hoping to see something. She thought that there was no way that this book would be blank.
Twilight kept flipping through the pages, hoping that something would appear. But there was nothing, not even a single word. She was growing more and more frustrated as she flipped through the pages, hoping to find anything that could give them an answer. But the pages remained empty and she was beginning to lose hope. Suddenly, the pages began to turn on their own, and a bright light emanated from the book, filling the room with a warm glow.
"Ahh! What's goin' on!?" Applejack yelped in surprise, her voice cracking with fear. The others all felt a wave of panic wash over them, their eyes wide and their hearts racing as they stared at the glowing book in Twilight's hooves. They had no idea what was happening, or what to expect, but they were all too afraid to find out. Twilight was just as scared, her eyes locked on the pages that were flipping rapidly, the pages glowing a brilliant white, the light growing brighter and brighter. The light was so intense that it could be seen from outside the palace, and the pages of the book began to flip faster and faster, the light growing ever brighter.
Fluttersy ducked for cover while Twilight's eyes were glued to this mezmerizing sight. The pages of the book were glowing with an otherworldly light that filled the room, casting strange shadows on the walls.
As the pages turned, they revealed a world of magic and mystery, a world that seemed to exist only in the realm of imagination. The light was so intense that Twilight had to shield her eyes from its brightness, but she couldn't tear her gaze away from the pages that were slowly revealing themselves to her.
The light was blinding, and as the book began to shake in her hooves, she felt a surge of energy pass through her. The light grew brighter and brighter until it filled the room, and Twilight had to close her eyes to avoid being blinded by the intense light.
She could feel the warmth of the light on her face, and the book shook in her hooves as the pages turned faster and faster. She could feel the energy of the book flowing through her, and her body began to tremble as the light grew even brighter, filling the room with its dazzling brilliance.
The light eventually died down, and then the book closed itself. The book was no longer glowing. But the girls could see that the book itself was different, now, it had a purple and gold outline, a golden spine and the title itself was written in gold. The pages inside were filled to the brim with information. It was no longer a blank slate.
"Wow..." Twilight gasped, her eyes wide with amazement. She couldn't believe what had just happened, and she wasn't sure if she had imagined it or not. She quickly flipped through the pages again, just to be sure, and found that the information was still there, and she could read it.
"What happened? Is everythin' okay?" Applejack asked, her voice shaky and her eyes still wide. She was clearly spooked by what had just happened, and she was eager to know if everything was okay.
"Uh...everything's okay." Twilight said. She didn't fully understand what was happening, but it seemed to have stopped for now and that was enough. She had to look into this book to see what was going on. She needed to know more about the Luminaria lineage, and the answers were in the book.
But as soon as her mind started thinking about it, something happened. Instinctively, without her willing it, a spell had been casted. Her horn had glowed and a golden light enveloped the entire group, and the next thing that they knew, they were all in the same place, on the platform in the middle of the two holes. The book floated on its own and landed right on the center of the Platform. The book then opened, and the pages flipped on their own.
"Wait...is that a map?" Twilight asked, seeing a large one on the pages.
"Whoa! It is!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed, looking at the map. It was a map of the world that stretched from the top of the page to the bottom. The continents and oceans were drawn in intricate detail, and the cities and landmarks were carefully marked.
Each city and landmark had a small description, and there were even notes and drawings that had been added by the previous owner of the book. The map was a treasure trove of information, and Twilight and her friends were amazed at the detail and accuracy of the map.
Twilight and the others couldn't believe their eyes, as the map on the page was so detailed and accurate that it looked like a true work of art. There were so many details on the map, such as the mountains and forests, that they could not help but be impressed. The map showed the entire world and its various features, including rivers, lakes, forests, deserts, mountains, cities, and towns, all of which were marked and labeled in detail.
All those areas that have yet to be revived or have been recently revived now had their positions discovered, and they could finally see the world in its entirety. They could finally see the world as it had once been, and it was truly a sight to behold.
The map showed a world that was full of life, with lush forests and vast deserts, snow-capped mountains and sparkling oceans, and cities and towns that were teeming with life. It was a world that was full of beauty and wonder, and Twilight and her friends couldn't help but be inspired by what they were seeing.
"This is incredible!" Rarity exclaimed. "We can see the whole hidden world in this map!" She could see the world in its entirety, and it was truly a sight to behold. It was a world that was full of beauty and wonder, and she couldn't help but be inspired by what she was seeing. She knew that she had to use this map to her advantage and help her friends in any way she could.
"How did you do that, Twilight?!" Pinkie asked.
"I don't know...The magic inside me just instinctively casted itself, like it wanted to show us something." Twilight didn't have a clue. But she was sure this was something special. "As soon as my mind went to the book, it happened. I'm still trying to figure out what this has to do with the lineage."
"Duh. Twilight Luminaria was the ruler of Unilight so it all makes sense." Rainbow Dash shrugged.
"That can't be the only thing in it. There has to-" But as soon as she thought about something else again, once more, her body automatically acted and casted another spell. Another spell that made the book glow again. This time, it would bring something out of the book. Twilight jerked back as an eruption of magic brought something out. A massive blast of light came out of the book, and it made Twilight and her friends step away from it.
The light was a bright and intense blue, and it was so powerful that it seemed to be almost alive. It was like nothing they had ever seen before, and it left them feeling awed and overwhelmed. It was like the book had come to life, and it was reaching out to them, trying to communicate with them in some way.
The light grew brighter and brighter, until it was so bright that they had to shield their eyes. While this was going on, Twilight's friends would start groaning all of a sudden, their bodies twitching and shaking as they did. They couldn't control their movements, and it was like their bodies were being pulled and pushed in all directions at once. They didn't understand what was happening, and they were scared and confused. They tried to speak, but the words that came out of their mouths were garbled and unintelligible.
"T-Twilight...!"
"Girls! What's wrong?!" Twilight faced her friends, dropping the book on the ground.
"S-Something's going on...!" Applejack was the only one who was able to speak clearly. "I...can't...control...my body!" She and the others tried to move, but their bodies wouldn't respond. It was like they were being held in place by an invisible force, and they couldn't do anything to break free. They were trapped in a strange and frightening situation that they didn't understand, and they didn't know how to escape it.
From the light, something would form. A figure was taking shape, and soon, that figure took the shape of a pony. It was an Alicorn, standing tall and proud with its wings spread wide. Its body was covered in a shimmering coat of light that seemed to pulse with energy. Its eyes were bright and full of life, and its mane was flowing and alive, like a river of stars.
"Who is that?!" Twilight gasped. She didn't know what to make of this. She had never seen anyone like this before. She felt a strange sense of familiarity, like she had seen this pony before, but she couldn't place where. It was a strange feeling that made her feel both excited and nervous at the same time.
The pony was now fully formed, and it was a sight to behold. Its coat was a mixture of colors that seemed to shift and change with the light. Its mane and tail were long and flowing, and its wings were spread wide, like a bird of prey. Its eyes were bright and full of life, and its horns were curved and elegant. It was a beautiful creature that seemed to embody the spirit of the land and the power of the elements.

"Well done, Your Radiance." Suddenly, the figure spoke while slowly forming, startling Twilight. "You've succeeded in having your body act on your own. Twice now. Truly, you are a natural genius, no matter the existence. And I am thrilled to be back, by your side.
"Who are you...?" Twilight uttered. And once the figure fully came into frame, her appearance shocked her. This alicorn looked strikingly familiar.
In fact, she looked like 5 of her friends put together. This pony looked like Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie put together as the journey continues.
