My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Nebel Plateau Incident
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAsh's Mindscape.
Within his own mindscape, Ash's eyes opened after briefly blacking out. He looked around, finding himself in the dark void. Suddenly, he sensed a presence nearby. Slowly turning his head, he caught sight of a Lucario watching over him, observing his every move. Startled by this appearance, Ash locked onto this surprise Lucario.
But something different was about this Lucario compared to all the rest he met. He could sense a mysterious new power emanating from within. In comparison to the usual Lucarios, he was accustomed to seeing, the power of this particular Lucario's Aura was incredibly potent and overwhelmingly immense, setting him apart from the rest.
"Is this real, or is this a dream?" Ash questioned.
The Lucario chose to remain silent, his expression remaining the same, Incredibly narrow-eyed and serious. He simply stared at Ash with no sounds or sudden movements. More importantly, it wasn't Ash's Lucario.
Before Ash could delve any deeper into his thoughts, he felt a grandiose shock in his body, abruptly interrupting his train of thought. It felt as though someone had injected pure electricity directly into his veins, the sensation being similar to when he blacked out.
The Lucario's eyes remained locked on Ash, witnessing his agony. And despite the overwhelming pain that wracked Ash's body, the Lucario maintained a calm demeanour. It was as if the excruciating experience unfolding before him was not unexpected. It was at that moment that Ash realized just how ruthless and powerful this Lucario truly was.
He looked down on Ash with glowing eyes of Aura, clearly in response to all that Aura Ash had used recently. Lucario didn't move an inch. A gust of wind picked up within the mindscape, brushing past both Ash and Lucario, ruffling their hair and fur.
"W-Who are you...?" Ash asked, feeling like this was the first time he encountered this specific Lucario. There was something eerie about the way Lucario carried himself. Something uncanny about him that made, as if Lucario knew more about him than he should have been allowed to know.
But suddenly, right next to Lucario, another Pokemon would manifest to look down on Ash. This time, it was Dialga. Prisma's Dialga.
Its roar resonated throughout the empty mindscape, echoing endlessly as it did nothing more than stand there next to Lucario. But before Ash could get any answers or even figure out what was happening, a massive hand would descend upon him. Ash instinctively looked up as something massive began emerging from the darkness surrounding him and the two Pokemon before him.
And right as it touched him, everything went dark once more
Kalos. Nebel Plateau. Within the Moonspace. Nightfall.
After Ash had obliterated a majority of the Institute's resources and defeated many of their trainers, the Moonsce took damage from all that destruction, and the Institute members began retreating, the Soul Crystal being the only thing remaining.
Professor Grogar, however, was infuriated. His plan had been foiled, and he knew he needed to act fast. He quickly contacted the other teachers, informing them of the situation and urging them to send more reinforcements immediately. The teachers responded promptly, agreeing to mobilize as many trainers and Pokémon as possible to counteract Prisma's influence.
"My Moonspace...It took damage?!" Twilight Moonlight was shocked, not expecting this. But at the same time, she was relieved that the Soul Crystal was still operational. However, the condition of the Soul Crystal should be the least of her worries right now.
Due to the damage, the Moonspace kept cracking and falling apart thanks to the aftermath of the battle. She then looked back at Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor, who were currently breathing heavily after having their souls attacked. She had to act fast.
"This might be our chance. Come on, Twilight!" Shining Armor exclaimed, deciding to call it here. All the Giant Pokemon were down and out along with many of the students. Thus, the Brother and Sister duo would make a run for it and dash away, trying to get as far away from the Moonspace as possible.
Twilight Moonlight noticed them and decided to pursue them at once, not wanting them to leave her sight. "You two are not leaving here! I'm afraid I can't let you two leave!"
But just as she was about to leap off the platform to chase after them, the ground beneath her began to shake violently. The platform she stood on suddenly collapsed, plunging her down into the depths below. Twilight Moonlight screamed in terror as she fell, realizing too late that she was now trapped in a pit with no visible way out. Her screams echoed throughout the crumbling MoonSpace, while Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor escaped safely.
Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor ran as fast as they could, hoping to put as much distance between them and the Moonspace as possible. As they fled, the sounds of the collapsing structure grew fainter until they were no longer audible. Finally, they stopped to catch their breath, relieved to have escaped the chaos and destruction. They knew that they would need to find a safe place soon, but for now, all they could do was rest and recover from their ordeal.
"This is my realm...I should have complete control....!" In the depths, Moonlight growled to herself, her anger rising as she realized the extent of the damage caused by Ash. She knew that her connection to her realm should have granted her total control over its inner workings, but something was amiss. "I don't understand why I'm losing control over my own realm! I should've won minutes, no, seconds ago when it started!"
With rage building up, she would blast the depths of the Moonspace with her magic, obliterating it. But not soon after, she'd start to feel a little light-headed. Her head started to throb and pulse with a searing intensity, causing her to stumble and fall to her knees. She clutched her head in agony, her breathing becoming labored as she struggled to stay conscious. The pain was unbearable, making her vision blurry and her ears ringing.
"Agh! My head...What is going on?!" She managed to choke out through gritted teeth, tears forming in her eyes from the overwhelming pain. She felt like her skull was about to split in two, and she couldn't make sense of why she was suffering such an intense migraine.
Moonlight continued to groan and whimper in agony as she curled up on the floor, clutching her head tightly. Her body trembled from the pain and she could feel her strength draining away with each passing second. She had no idea what was causing this excruciating headache or how she could make it stop. All she could do was pray for the torment to end soon.
She eventually passed out, the immense pain becoming too much to bear. The last thing she remembered before slipping into unconsciousness was the throbbing sensation in her skull and the darkness closing in on her.
She would find herself drifting in and out of consciousness, the world around her spinning and blurred. Every time she tried to open her eyes, the pain in her head intensified, causing her to groan and cry out in agony. It felt like a thousand needles were piercing her skull, sending waves of excruciating pain through her body. She didn't understand why she was experiencing such intense suffering, but it seemed never-ending and relentless.
Then it clicked. It was due to the Moonspace. She did not have full control over it just yet and a drawback of such power was painful to her head. All that power had yet to be mastered.
"Samu?! Samurott!" Samurott rushed to his trainer's side, worried and concerned about her well-being. He gently nudged her unconscious body, hoping to rouse her from her slumber.
Twilight came to a halt, resting for a bit to clear her head. Shining Armor helped her be seated against a tree. They had both just barely managed to escape from the chaos and destruction caused by the Moonspace's crumbling. Now, in the stillness that followed, Twilight took a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to gather her thoughts. But just as she did, something extraordinary happened.
Twilight's mind was suddenly filled with images of her other self, Moonlight, trapped within the depths of the Moonspace. She saw Moonlight's panic and confusion as the platform collapsed beneath her, plunging her into the abyss below.
"I can't think straight...Whatever happened with the Moonspace, it's happening with e too." Twilight Sparkle whispered. "I feel so strange..."
"Are you okay?" Shining Armor asked, noticing the distress on his sister's face.
"Y-Yeah. I just felt something weird, like a connection or something." Twilight answered hesitantly. She didn't know how to explain the strange sensation she was experiencing, but it left her feeling uneasy. "Let me try and see if I can speak with Volcanion about all of th. He went off to protect both Magearna and Raleigh. I'll send my thoughts to him."
"As if you will." Suddenly, appearing here while they were this vulnerable was Flawless. She would blast the area the two hid in with her magic, breaking the walls apart. Twilight and Shining gasped as the Eldest of the BlueLight Sisters appeared before them.
Shining and his Aegislash got in front of Twilight and prepared to defend her.
"Geez, you all, like, ruined this for us. Prisma showed up and totally ruined most of our resources. The Professor's asked us to make a retreat, which I'm not too happy about." Flawless groaned, flipping her mane.
"So what you're saying is...we've won." Shining Armor let out a cocky smirk, making Flawless roll her eyes.
"Not yet. Even though we're leaving, we're leaving here with something. And that's her." Flawless aimed her hoof at Twilight Sparkle.
"No!" Shining Armor and his Aegislash stood their ground. "I'm not letting you take her!"
"Hm. Try and stop me then." Flawless would have her horn glow, casting a spell. She confronted Shining Armor, releasing an attack of Magic that aimed to destroy him. However, Aegislash would block the incoming attack with his King's Shield, protecting him from harm. The magic would be blocked and dispersed, causing no harm to him.
"Aegislash! Use Sacred Sword!" Shining Armor ordered.
At high speeds, Aegislash charged forward towards Flawless. His bladed body began to glow with a powerful golden light, emitting a radiant aura that surrounded him as he closed the distance between himself and his target.
As he drew nearer, Aegislash swung his sword with incredible force and precision, aiming to strike at Flawless with his Sacred Sword. The gleaming blade cut through the air with a resounding whoosh, slicing through any obstacles in its path.
Flawless, sensing the impending danger, quickly conjured a magical barrier to shield herself from Aegislash's attack. However, the sheer power behind the Sacred Sword was enough to break through her defenses, shattering her protective shield upon impact.
The force of the clash sent shockwaves rippling through the air, causing the ground to tremble and nearby trees to sway violently. Flawless was thrown off balance by the blow, staggering back several steps as she struggled to regain her footing.
But Aegislash pressed his advantage relentlessly, relentlessly striking at Flawless with his glowing sword, forcing her to retreat further and further back until she was eventually cornered against a nearby wall. Despite her efforts to ward off his attacks, Flawless found herself overwhelmed by Aegislash's relentless assault, unable to counter or evade his strikes.
Despite this, something was amiss. Despite being pushed back, Flawless was still smiling, almost as if she had the situation under control. And then, it happened. Flawless's Lucario was waiting for a good moment to snatch Twilight and take her away from the area.
"?!" Twilight gasped, turning her head, but it was too late. Lucario had grabbed her from the side and hoisted her onto his shoulder. "Aaaaah!" She screamed, alerting her brother.
"Twilight!" Shining bellowed while turning around. Aegislash soon turned, turning his attention away from Flawless. But that was a mistake on his part. In that instance where he was left wide open, Flawless would cast a powerful spell on him.
Aegislash and Shining Armor would both be frozen on the spot, unable to move or defend themselves. They were completely immobilized by the spell, leaving them helpless to stop Flawless and her Lucario from kidnapping Twilight Sparkle.
"Thanks for the sister! Later~" Flawless and her Lucario quickly seized the opportunity, dashing away with their captive while Shining and Aegislash remained trapped in their frozen state. The two villains made their escape without encountering any further resistance, taking advantage of the momentary lapse in attention from their opponents to snatch up Twilight and flee from the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Shining and Aegislash continued to struggle against their bonds, straining to break free from the icy prison that held them captive. It would take some time before they were able to regain their freedom and continue their pursuit of Flawless and Lucario in hopes of rescuing Twilight from their clutches. But for now, the villains had succeeded in their mission, leaving behind a frustrated Shining Armor and a powerless Aegislash in their wake.
A gateway managed to open, showing that the Arcane Institute was ready to leave.
With Flawless and Lucario having successfully kidnapped Twilight Sparkle, they set out to return her to the Institute. However, their escape was not as smooth as they had hoped as two opposing Golurk stood before them.
"Gol!" The Golurks roared in unison.
"Out of our way, you stupid golems!" Flawless yelled, her voice filled with frustration and anger. Her horn started to glow as she cast a powerful spell. The magic crackled in the air as she unleashed an explosive blast towards the two Golurks, intending to knock them aside and clear a path for their escape. However, the Golurks powered through it, relying on their defence.
There were still some more Golurks left that were able to continue as they were seen approaching the gateway and the Institute, attempting to stop them from leaving. All those stolen souls would not leave. Not on their watch.
The Golurk began attacking the Soul Crystal with ranged attacks to try and destroy it, knowing that if it was destroyed, the Institute's further plans would come to a halt. This would give the Institute no choice but to stay and fight to protect it. Even though it was only a small group of Golurks, they would still put up a fight.
Flawless's face twisted into an expression of pure rage at the Golurks' persistence. Despite the fact that she and Lucario had successfully kidnapped Twilight Sparkle and were on the verge of escaping, the Golurks refused to let them pass without a fight. Their continued interference was beginning to grate on her nerves, and she couldn't stand the idea of being held back any longer.
"So annoying! I have plants after this! Plans that don't involve this mission!" She groaned.
But before anyone else could make another move, someone had arrived. Walking towards here, gazing upon this chaotic sight as the one who was given the advice to come here.
It was her.
The Angel Strident Heart.
Strident's wings flapped gracefully behind her, their luminous white feathers shimmering in the sunlight. Her white dress fluttered gently in the wind, giving her an ethereal and angelic appearance. She was still lacking so much of her original power, coming here under the words of Grings Kodai, who informed her of this area.
Strident Heart saw it all. All the destruction that occurred recently. Many Pokemon were down, the Soul Crystal, and the Moonspace was collapsing. The Institute was retreating, but not without taking a few things with them.
"What a repulsive sight. All this...over him." Strident spoke, knowing that it was all centered around Ash Ketchum. She wasn't surprised at all, knowing he was nothing but trouble. "These mortals cause such chaos because of him. And yet the court did not fully see him as a threat. Well...tonight is where I rectify it. I assist his enemies."
Strident came here to do one thing. Assist those against Ash Ketchum. Thus, with whatever power she currently had, she would help the Arcane Institute, by targeting every single Golurk here, unleashing a massive wave of Divine Magic. The Golurks were instantly blasted away with a loud crash, being sent flying through the air and crashing into the nearby trees and foliage. Their large, solid bodies staggered branches and tore up grass as they tumbled uncontrollably, unable to control their momentum or protect themselves from the sudden impact.
Those at the Institute had no idea what had just happened. But it was clear to them that something had aided them and the Institute was able to continue its departure. Flawless, Lucario and the rest of the teachers and students would make their leave. But Flawless paused, seeing Strident Heart here.
Strident walked off, saying nothing else. Only leaving the Institute to their deviceFlawless was confused for a moment before getting her mind back on track. Their enemies were vulnerable, allowing the Arcane Institute to finally retreat. Along with Twilight.
"No...Twilight!" Shining Armor tried rushing there in time, but the bonds slowed him down. He and Aegislash were too late. They were unable to reach her.
Despite failing to capture Ash, they pulled something else off. They had captured Twilight Sparkle and taken her away with them. The gateway had closed, leaving no trace of the Institute and its members behind.
Shining Armor and his Aegislash were bewildered, devastated by their failure. They had tried so hard to rescue Twilight from the clutches of the Institute, but in the end, they were too late.
It was all over. The chaos at the Nebel Plateau came to an end. The entire area was totalled, many spots ruined and damaged to great extents. However, despite the Arcane Institute leaving, they forgot someone. In the depths, Twilight Moonlight was forgotten about.
As the journey continues.
