My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Chosen Souls

Celestia received the news right away. Her pupils constricted in shock as she heard it. Twilight Sparkle has been captured. Her student was taken away and is in another world. On top of that, Luna, who had recently been recovered, was now healing up after that surprise attack fro Phantasia.
"Thank you for telling me this." She spoke to her soldiers. "Please leave me." The guards saluted and left. Celestia was left alone in her room. Her thoughts immediately turned to the fate of Twilight and Luna, the fate of two of her most important people. The disappearance of her beloved student left Celestia reeling, and the recent recovery of her sister only complicated the matter.
Indeed, Celestia was feeling rather riled up by this, but thankfully, due to recent events, she can perfectly maintain her anger and most of her emotions.
She could've let the anger take over her. After all, it is because of these things that the Institute was doing that Luna's was harmed and Flash Sentry, Kimia and many others have been captured. She already knew how upset Flurry Heart would be due to how close she was to Flash, but she can only imagine how Cadence would react to Twilight being captured, or what Shining Armor might do next.
As for Twilight Sparkle, her student, a pony that she considers family was taken from her. She was now trapped within enemy territory. Not to mention the damage they caused to the Nebel Plateau and its inhabitants.
These actions cannot be forgiven, and yet she can't let the rage take her over. That would only result in more unnecessary deaths.
With a loud exhale, the Alicorn tried to keep her mind clear of all that was bothering her, as she opened her eyes. "Alright. No time to be slow, right, Passion?"
"Gardevoir." Passion nodded, knowing what Celestia was going for.
"I'll order the Universal Alliance and those from One Light to begin a rescue mission right away. They will be going to the world where the Institute resides in to free all the captured people and Pokemon." She explained with a serious tone, getting ready to order it. She was going to ensure that they do not mess with Twilight in any capacity.
She was ready to end this once and for all.
The rescue mission is going to commence.
The Crystal Empire.
At the Crystal Empire, Shining Armor and Flurry Heart had returned, alongside Flurry Heart's new partner, Magearna. They were surprised by how quiet things were. Usually, there would be some sort of noise coming from the palace, whether it be the younger Flurry Heart, Cadence, or even the guards However, the atmosphere was silent as Shining Armor sat alone, lowering his head in sadness. It seemed that he didn't know where to start or what to do.
The room felt empty, devoid of any warmth, almost as if the world was mourning the recent events that have occurred. The absence of any sound made the place seem cold, even lifeless, and the lack of activity gave the room a haunting aura. The stillness in the air made it seem as though time had frozen.
His mind kept replaying the moment he heard that Twilight Sparkle was taken by a mysterious group. He kept remembering that his little sister had disappeared and he didn't even know where to start looking for her, or what to do next.
The thought of not knowing her whereabouts filled him with an immense sense of helplessness, leaving him feeling powerless and unable to protect her from the unknown danger that surrounded her. It made his heart ache with the fear of not being able to find her, and the fear of not knowing where to even begin looking for her.
"Hey, Dad..." Opening the door was Flurry Heart, who was joined by her Magearna partner, who was now by her side as she was ready to assist her. The young princess felt like her dad could need someone right now. She had a sad expression on her face as well. Her father looked up and noticed his alternate daughter. He wanted to speak, but the words just weren't there. He couldn't bring himself to speak to her, or even to his own wife. It was as if his thoughts were in a whirlwind and he couldn't make sense of them. The uncertainty of not knowing how to communicate with his family only added to his feelings of helplessness.
He tried to focus, to clear his head and gather his thoughts, but it seemed like a never-ending cycle. He was struggling to keep a handle on the emotions that overwhelmed him, and he couldn't shake off the fear of the unknown. His mind kept spinning and he felt like he was trapped in a loop of helplessness. Flurry Heart, noticing that something was wrong with her dad, went to sit beside him. "Um, about what happened at the Nebel Plateau..."
"Oh." The white stallion's mind immediately remembered what had transpired. "Right, I'm sure you're upset about what happened to your personal guard." He tried to sound happy, even though it pained him to do so.
"Flash Sentry." The filly nodded. "And don't worry, I'm not upset. I know he'll be fine. And that we'll rescue him."
"Hmrgh..." Despite hearing this, Shining Armor was still bummed out about Twilight. Even though he had the drive to save her, he needed some time to let his emotions release.
"Um, Mom has something prepared for you. After she heard about everything, she started cooking. It's your favourite." She said to the stallion. He was hesitant for a moment, before standing up, not wanting to upset his wife and his daughter. "Right, okay."He would at least do that. He had his family with him and the chance to save his sister and everyone else who was taken away. That was all he could hope for at the moment. He stood up, looking towards his alternate universe daughter.
"Okay, Flurry. I'll join. And then soon, I'll save Twilight."
Ponyville. The Pokemon House.
Back at Ponyville, Ash was at the Pokemon House, sitting on a log with his thoughts plentiful. Fluttershy and all of her Pokemon were watching him with worried looks on their faces. They gathered around their friend, who usually comes to hang out with them or even help tend to them like how Fluttershy does.
It was strange, seeing the human not move from that spot for a while. Fluttershy was also getting worried as she watched Ash. She knew he was thinking hard, but not to the extent that it was worrying everyone else.
He was trying to process everything that had happened in the last day or so. From the sudden attack, the lost Pokemon, the destroyed Nebel Plateau, to the loss of Twilight Sparkle to another group of people from an unknown world.
For the first time in his life, Ash felt a loss unlike any other. No League Loss or any other battle lost could compare or even come close. To Ash, this was a great defeat that truly struck him deeply.
Naturally, in this state, the many Pokemon of the Pokemon House couldn't help but try to cheer him up, especially Pikachu who was the first one to try and encourage him. Each Pokemon that tried, focused on what Ash enjoys the most. Since Ash has been here so many times, they knew him very well just as much as he knew them.
And what Ash likes the most is a good old Pokemon Battle.
Pikachu, being the first, was the one who initiated the challenge. He walked up to Ash, getting his attention and motioning for him to stand and battle him.
The Fighting-Types mainly indulged in this, fighting each other or sparring. As the Pokemon battled, it got Ash's attention. Pikachu and Hawlucha were battling each other, exchanging moves with each other.
Ash watched, his attention on Pikachu as his companion and the Wrestling Pokemon fought. He watched their moves carefully, getting absorbed in the battle.
Pikachu would use moves like Thunderbolt to attack Hawlucha who would dodge and strike back with his Flying Press, only for the mouse Pokemon to dodge and retaliate with an Iron Tail. Hawlucha would use X-Scissor to fight back.
But Ash lacked the natural drive to get involved in the battle. He was still deep in thought over what had happened, and it wasn't easy for him to get out of it. He just couldn't help but wonder how things ended up the way they did. He couldn't help but feel responsible. He should've been able to do more. But he was still too late.
Pokemon of various Types and species tried everything. The Grass-Types tried to grow flowers for him, the Ghost-Types put on a performance for him, and the Water-Types tried to get him to swim with them. None of these worked on the Trainer. Not even a Pokemon Battle.
"Ra! Raboot!" Raboot pulled on Ash's shirt, trying to get him involved in something to cheer him up. The Rabbit Pokemon was starting to get worried that the boy wouldn't get over this, and thus decided to try harder to get him out of his state. He held onto the boy's shirt with one paw and tried to drag him up from the log.
"Raboot!" The Fire-Type yelled at Audino, asking her to help. He would take any Pokemon right now that was strong enough to pull Ash out of his slump. They had to keep trying. Even the Water-Type Pokemon, who were busy swimming, would come to Ash and try to get him involved in the water.
Fluttershy watched from afar, never seeing Ash in such a state before. And to Fluttershy, this upset her in a different way. She was obviously saddened, but there was another part of her that was irritated. "
"Hmmrh..!" Fluttershy puffed her cheeks, rather riled up herself. Some of her Pokemon, especially Bayleef, were quick to notice this. "I feel rather...peeved right now. Seeing Ash like this just doesn't do it. I wish I could go up to the Institute and just yell at them for making Ash feel this bad." The yellow Pegasus said. "I mean...I'd probably do more than that."
Bayleef nodded in agreement. She was feeling the same way, and it seemed to be shared by a lot of the other Pokemon at the Pokemon House. They all had the same idea, to do something about this.
Fluttershy was determined to make things right. She was going to help Ash out of his slump and bring him back to his usual happy, energetic self. She wasn't going to let anyone bring him down, not even the Institute.
"It's alright you guys." Ash suddenly spoke, adressing them all. "I'm just thinking about a lot right now. But thanks for trying to help." He told them. The Pokemon were feeling rather bummed out. Their Trainer was still in a slump, and no amount of cheering up was enough to help. It was like he was stuck in a dark place, unable to find a way out. It was like a big hole in the ground, that he was unable to crawl out of. All of the Pokemon and Fluttershy were trying to help, but it wasn't working. They felt so helpless, like they couldn't do anything to help. They could feel the frustration and helplessness building inside of them. It was as if their attempts to help were being met with an invisible wall, and they weren't sure if they could break it.
In their minds, they were trying to find ways to break through the wall and get Ash back on his feet. They wanted him to be the same happy, energetic, and determined Trainer that they all knew and loved. Ash knew that he would still have all of his friends and that they would do what they could to get Twilight back.
The Arcane Institute.
"Nnh..." Eyes would open. The eyes of Kimia to be exact. Upon opening them, she already knew that something was wrong. She had no physical body anymore. In fact, she had no eyes anymore and yet could see. She had no lungs to breathe, and yet she could breathe. It was a strange sensation. A sensation that only a soul could experience. "!"
Soon, Kimia realized what she was, remembering what had happened. Currently, she was within the Soul Crystal along with her Gardevoir and many others who have had their souls taken, stored within this massive machine that could house millions upon millions of souls at the same time.
Despite the many souls within the crystal, Kimia could not hear any of them. She couldn't sense them either. She could only see herself in the crystal and no one else. It was as though she was alone in a vast ocean of souls, unable to make a connection with anyone or anything.
It was a strange feeling to be in this place, to feel the weight of so many souls, and to know that she was just one among many. She could feel the vibrations of the crystal, and the hum of the machinery that kept it in motion.
But she did manage to see someone outside of the crystal. That being Profesor Grogar, specifically, the device he was in. He had been carried into the room where the Soul Crystal was kept, and the device was placed next to it.
"A truly wonderful haul of souls. We will be able to complete our mission soon at this rate." The voice of Professor Grogar said. He was pleased with the amount of souls that were collected. "With these souls, we'll be able to restore Twilight Luminaria to life." He said. "But not just yet. I have a plan." He continued.
"Are we ready to hunt down the other counterparts, Professor?" A student asked.
"Soon. Reports on the whereabouts of three of them have been sent to me. Once more, we will be invading these universes that dare side with Prisma. As an example, we will take their souls as well. No matter what universe, that man's soul is the same. We cannot allow any of his counterparts to roam free. They are dangerous."
The students nodded in agreement, and Grogar turned his attention to the BlueLight Sisters, who were present in the room as well. "You know the drill. Capture, attack and eliminate. I need more souls. This is your mission."
Kimia couldn't do a thing about this. She could only watch and listen to them. That was what all the souls could do. Watch and listen as these people do their work, and the only ones that were actually able to do something about this was the Professor and the Institute Students, and the BlueLight Sisters.
"As for the recent souls, one of them is the Princess of the Azoth Kingdom, is she? Perhaps she can be of some use to us. Many of them could be. I suggest selecting powerful trainers and having them work for us. The Soul Crysta's usages don't stop at just collecting souls. I believe it's time for the next usage of it."
"Oh! This is the fun part!" Violet squeed, excited for this.
"We will merge the souls of chosen individuals...to create singular beings. They will be used as weapons against those who stand in our way, and will be sent to take care of our enemies."
The sisters were excited for that. The idea of creating powerful beings to use against their enemies was thrilling to them. The thought of merging souls and creating a powerful weapon made them feel giddy. They couldn't wait to get started, and to see what kind of destruction they could wreak with these new creations.
But all the souls were terrified of that. Especially, the souls of powerful trainers. Kimia was one of them and so were Flash Sentry and the Canterlot and Crystal Empire Soldiers. They would undoubtedly be chosen. And unfortunately, the process was about to begin. "Let's begin now." Grogar ordered. The students and sisters nodded in unison.
The device Grogar was in would float in mid-air and face the crystal. "Let's choose our first batch of souls." He said.
And with that, the process has started.
The Soul Crystal flared to life, its pulsating energy flooding the room. The BlueLight Sisters, led by their leader, were the first to act. Each sister would place her hand on the Crystal and extract a single soul. As the process began, the room was filled with a low hum, and the air became thick with anticipation. The sisters, with their eyes closed in deep concentration, would carefully extract the chosen souls from the crystal and place them in a separate, smaller container. Once the extraction was complete, the sisters stepped away from the crystal, their expressions a mixture of excitement and determination.
Kimia could see it all happening. She was watching the sisters select souls from the crystal. With the souls now in their possession, the sisters began to merge them together, using the power of the Soul Crystal to fuse the energies of the selected souls into a single entity. The process was delicate, requiring the sisters to maintain a steady focus on their task, and to ensure that the merging was done properly. The result was a single, powerful being that would serve as a weapon against those who stood in their way.
Kimia was one of the chosen souls as she was selected, being the strongest Trainer within the Soul Crystal. In fact, she was chosen as the baseline soul for the new being. Other souls were being selected and were slowly being merged with her. She could feel the other souls being pulled into the crystal, and the energy of the merging process.
She could feel the energy of the other souls, and their emotions, their memories, and their personalities all merging with her. The experience was intense and overwhelming, and Kimia found herself struggling to keep a hold on her own identity and not being consumed by the other souls.
The next soul was Flash Sentry, who was also selected. After that, came the Canterlot and Crystal Empire soldiers. They were the main crux of this process, slowly forming individual beings that would be used as weapons.
Grogar loved this. It was all coming together for him. First the capture of Twilight Sparkle and now this. To him, victory was slowly approaching and within his sights.
As the journey continues.
