Three Prismas

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Universe 50. Mirados. Nightfall.

Hilbert, Ash and Nate were each under the influenced of Prisma, the being that is feared by the Arcane Institute. Now three of them had awoken at the same time. And the first thing that needed to be done was healing Hilda. Hilda was still unresponsive, not able to do anything to save herself. She could only watch as Hilbert carried her to the side.

The Zetas and Betas didn't know how to respond to this, all they did was stand there, not knowing what to do. The Soul Trainers tried to take advantage of this. With the three of them distracted, they could strike them down. But that would be a mistake on their part.

Hilbert put Hilda to the side, but he still kept his eyes on the Soul Trainers. Even with their attention on the Soul Trainers, it was obvious that something was about to go down. The power from the three Prismas was surging, the Pokemon that were in their balls were beginning to react, shaking violently inside their Poke Balls. They were trying to break out, feeling the anger of their trainers.

Right now, where Hilbert and Nate were, practically two Prismas were next to each other, both having that menacing gaze, ready to exact vengeance on those that have harmed Hilda.

As Hilbert held Hilda, he wanted her to be somewhere safe away from the absolute chaos that was about to happen here. "Get her far away from here." Hilbert would entrust Hilda's safety to Nate, who nodded, taking Hilda into his arms.

Nate ran off, finding a spot where Hilda could be safe. This prompted the Zetas and Betas to try and stop him, but they had to deal with Hilbert first, who stared at them. Just by staring at them, he sent a powerful pulse that staggered and interrupted their movements.

Hilbert's rage was already flaring, it was like it was burning on fire. And soon, Aura Flames erupted around him. A powerful surge of energy caused everyone to back away, as even the Zetas and Betas were forced to stop in their tracks.

"This is our chance to prove our worth." One of the Betas said, taking out her Poke Ball. They all took out their Poke Balls, preparing to battle against Hilbert. Each of them had the same skill level as Kimia, so they were made to be powerful from the very start. It all depends on how well they perform against Hilbert.

Prisma was in a frenzy, wanting to see Hilbert unleash his true potential. But right now, all Prisma wanted was for Hilbert to let loose and show the Soul Trainers what they were up against. Prisma wanted them to feel fear.

"First you harm Braviary...and now you harm, Hilda." Hilbert spoke to them. "Not only that, you have the nerve to clone one of our friends. Your Arcane Institute scum will be wiped out after this." With his rage building, this correlated with his Emboar. Emboar's eyes lit up, gaining that same glow that Hilbert now had.

Not only that, but the Fire-Fighting-Type felt completely refreshed, standing tall, showing no signs of being fatigued. The Aura of Flames were what restored his strength, bringing him back to his peak. The Soul Trainers watched as this happened. It was an incredible sight to behold.

One of the Zetas decided to be the first to make a move. She took out a Poke Ball, tossing it. "Go! Infernape!"

The Zeta summoned forth Infernape. This Infernape had a menacing gaze, looking towards Hilbert and Emboar, but he was not the only one, as two others also summoned their own Infernapes, all looking intimidating.

"Infernape, show your power! Use Close Combat!" One Zeta commanded, the Infernape obeyed, running towards the Emboar with its fist covered in a red aura.

"Nape!" Infernape rushed in, a streak of red energy around its fist. The attack would land on Emboar, creating a great ripple that would move across the area. However, despite how heavy the blow was along with the rapid strikes that Infernape followed up with, Emboar did not budge. In fact, he took all of those hits perfectly, not even budging.

"Weak! Use Hammer Arm!"

"Em...!" Emboar tightened his arms, and right as Infernape went for another hit, the Mega Fire Pig Pokemon unleashed a staggeringly powerful swing straight to Infernape's chest.

"I-Infer!" Truly staggering. So staggering it stopped Infernape's movements in an instant. Afterwards, Infernape was rocketed away at great speeds, leaving behind a shockwave in the process. The Zeta who sent out that Infernape watched as her Pokemon was absolutely obliterated. So obliterated that the energy that made it up would be broken down, revealing why these opposing Pokemon felt emotionless.

When crashing into the walls nearby, Infernape's body would glow, breaking down into small energy particles and soon dispersing. What they were left to look at was nothing. It seemed like that Infernape just vanished without a trace.

"So that's what it is. No wonder they have no emotion. They aren't even real. Completely artificial." Hilbert said while narrowing his eyes. At that moment, a bit of Prisma's true self was starting to speak. "You'd face e with Artificial Pokemon? Even more lifeless than the average Mewtwo? In my universe, even Mewtwos were far more lifelike than these. Even more lifelike than all of you!" He then pointed at each of the Betas and Zetas.

They did not show any proper expressions in response to that. Compared to their Prime Versions, these ones were 100% emotionless, only existing to follow orders and battle relentlessly.

Instead of speaking to Hilbert, they would begin their attack. Each of them ordered their Pokemon to attack Hilbert and Emboar. These Pokemon came charging in.

"Emboar! Fire Pledge!"

"Boar!" With his arms high, Emboar slammed the ground, erupting in pillars of raging flame. Each pillar looked to have engulfed the attacking Pokemon.

Those pillars of raging fire not only had a strong heat coming from them but burned greatly on the inside. Not even Infernape could withstand such an attack. Those pillars began moving towards the Soul Trainers, but then stopped as Hilbert snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, the raging inferno died down, and eventually, there were no remains of the opposing Pokemon that attacked them. It was then revealed that the many Soul Trainers that commanded their Pokemon were burnt and singed by the flames.

However, because of this distraction, several other Pokemon began moving in, circling around Hilbert in preparation to strike. All of them brought out daggers, pointing them towards the Unova Trainer. Right away, they launched towards him.

But they were denied any interaction. Hilbert looked at them as the other soul within him would react. After all, much like how Ash has Dialga's soul, Hilbert had the soul of Reshiram within him. With just one look, the opposing Pokemon felt an overwhelming heat from inside them, which got stronger. Their bodies started heating up immensely. It became incredibly unstable for the opposing Pokemon, who all dropped to the floor.

With one final stare, they each were combusted into flames, evaporating on the spot. Hilbert felt nothing when destroying these Pokemon. The fact that they were 100% artificial garnered no sympathy. These Pokemon were nothing but tools for the Arcane Institute. They weren't even worthy of mercy.

"Emboar! Use Earthquake!"

"Em...BOAR!" Emboar rose both feet into the air and then slammed back down. The force caused the earth below them to shake. This was not an ordinary earthquake; Emboar's rage-fueled attack shattered the ground and created enormous cracks.

Zetas and Betas leapt back, avoiding falling in, while some ended up slipping into the crack. Suddenly, the area shook once again, followed by another tremor. As the Soul Trainers struggled to remain upright, they realized that the ground beneath them was no longer stable.

Earthquakes continued to rumble throughout the area until the entire ground gave way. Everyone was sent plunging downwards, with their cries echoing loudly.

The dust cleared, and now it looked as if everyone was within a pit of sand. There were a few fallen Pokemon and knocked-down Soul Trainers, though many of them remained unharmed. As for Hilbert, his Emboar managed to grab hold of him, landing safely to prevent their trainer from falling.

There was no place to run from Emboar's attacks, especially within a contained environment like this. However, that doesn't mean the Soul Trainers wouldn't put up a fight. Many more charged towards Hilbert. But Hilbert had enough of these games. He needed to finish them off.

For harming Hilda, he had to make them all pay, which is why he would ensure the next attack would end it all. Clenching his hands and gritting his teeth, his menacing aura intensified as more of Prisma's true self kept taking over, making Hilbert far more aggressive. However, before he could make the next move, he noticed in the distance, the citizens of this city.

It didn't cross his mind earlier, but this was still a populated city. Sure, this area was empty, but people still existed in the city. If he went too far, they'd all be caught in the crossfire, and he didn't want to risk any lives that didn't deserve it. With that in mind, Hilbert suddenly ran, holding back a bit of Prisma. However, his eyes were still glowing, showing that Prisma was still influencing him in this awakened state.

Emboar soon followed as Hilbert aimed to take the destruction away from everyone else. Eventually, the two would stop at the edge of the city.

The Zetas and Betas ran after them, not hesitating in the slightest, summoning more artificial Pokemon to assist in their fight against Hilbert and Emboar. However, they didn't know that their moves and tactics were predictable. No matter what they tried, Hilbert would easily predict what they're doing. Much like the others, they relied on artificial Pokemon to keep things consistent, always using the same strategies every time.

"Flying-types..." Hilbert saw how many flying-type Pokemon were sent out against him. Aerial coverage is what they wanted to achieve. While Hilbert did not want to harm the civilians in any way, the Pokemon of the Arcane Institute felt the opposite way. They started raining down destruction, using Air Slashes, Air Cutters and any other wing-based attacks to tear apart the area.

Emboar acted quickly and grabbed onto Hilbert. Then with a burst of flames, Emboar leaped high into the air and landed at a safer distance away. The ponies of this city shrieked at the raining attacks that struck their buildings and roads, scattering in various directions to escape from the ensuing damage.

The blades of wind sliced through the sides of buildings, some even breaking into them by shattering the windows. A table belonging to a group of office workers would be cut in half, startling these ponies and destroying their work in the process.

Some flying types were cutting signs off of buildings, slicing street lights in two and tearing apart vehicles that were parked in the streets. More Pokemon soon joined in with the devastation, using moves like Aerial Ace to further the cutting destruction.

Ponies all panicked as a car would fly in their direction from an Ice Beam. Many people were barely escaping as parts of buildings came down hard and destroyed the sidewalk, even demolishing benches, posts and various other things outside.

Hilbert didn't want to bring the battle back into the city, but the Zetas and Betas wouldn't stop following him, trying to catch him and destroy him, while at the same time, not caring who was around or who would be affected, not caring about who gets harmed.

A Noctowl ended up using Hurricane to bring even greater levels of destruction, forcing hundreds to run away at once. They ran, fleeing their homes and businesses in terror as the hurricane tore through the streets, ripping roofs off, uprooting trees, and toppling streetlights. Several smaller vehicles would go flying as well as the storm raged. The winds swept up cars, throwing them down streets where they collided with each other or smashed through shopfronts. Dust, rubble, and debris filled the air, reducing visibility.

At this rate, the Arcane Institute would bring more destruction to Mirados than Hilbert potentially could.

Elsewhere, with Ash also being under Prisma's influence, the twitching he felt on his body would come to an end as he looked at Harmony, who was carrying him across Mirados. Ash looked behind him, seeing the Pokemon from the Arcane Institute pursuing him.

"Harmony..." Ash spoke with an altered voice. "Put me down. Please."

"Ash?" Harmony uttered before looking at Ash's face. She saw it. Those crimson eyes and how they glowed so menacingly. Seeing them made Harmony gasped as she slowed down her movements. Right now, she was practically holding Prisma, even if Ash was still the one talking right now. "P-Prisma!" She stuttered.

Ash didn't say anything in return as he suddenly leapt from her back. As Ash began falling, a gust of air suddenly came in and enveloped him. Eventually, that gust formed around Ash, changing itself to be an aura that supported his movements.

Using this ability, Ash flew through the skies of Mirados as the Zetas and Betas kept following. "Please don't worry...about me...I don't want to lose myself." He uttered as he increased his speed. Right now, he was still Ash, not fully losing himself to Prisma, but with the current rage he was experiencing, that wouldn't be for long. Harmony tried to pursue him, which wouldn't be too hard for her. She had Rainbow Dash's speed after all.

"Ash! Whatever you're about to do, don't! Right now, you're being influenced by Prisma! Don't do it!" She pleaded as she caught up with him. At that point, the two would turn sharply, speeding downwards and towards the streets below.

"I won't get anyone involved...that is all. Right now...I have to get to Hilbert and Nate. I can sense them now..all because of this soul. But can you do something for me, Harmony?"

"What...?" She paused for a moment.

"...make sure to catch me. In case I do become out of control." He asked of her, his words surprising her as she slowly descended. With Harmony not moving as fast, Ash would fly ahead, heading towards Hilbert's location.

Meanwhile, the citizens were scared, terrified. As buildings crumbled and streets were torn up, screams rang throughout the city. The Zetas and Betas showed no regard for anyone. The artificial Pokemon showed no mercy as well. Attacking citizens with powerful moves that were being used to their full destructive potential. People would either collapse on the ground or end up soaring from the impact of the moves.

Others were caught in collapsing buildings, cars or street signs, debris from damaged structures would fall and hit unsuspecting residents, knocking them unconscious. Injured civilians laid scattered among the ruins. Some lay on the ground moaning, clutching their wounds.

Others would try to hide within their crumbling homes acting the hi-tech defences they possess as they watched helplessly. Destruction reigned everywhere. Digital domes manifested around the buildings, made out of Quantum Energy, protecting whatever is left of Mirados. But some Ponies did not have this luxury, becoming trapped on the top floors of collapsed buildings as they looked for ways to escape.

That is until Ash came to their aid. He decided to stop to help those in need, halting his advancement towards Hilbert. Landing in the middle of a street, he would grab two ponies that were on the verge of getting hit by a vehicle sent their way.

"I've got you!" Ash told them in this deep voice as he soared with the ponies in his arms. He soon landed at a safe place. But to ensure that they were really safe, Ash used one of Prisma's specialities, manifesting a shield of Aura. It extended in front of Ash, covering a great distance to protect all citizens around him. That vehicle that flew by crashed into a building nearby instead.

Ash turned his attention to more of those in need, flying upwards to the ones trapped inside the buildings, grabbing onto them and pulling them free. His speed allowed him to reach the maximum height quickly, grabbing these ponies and bringing them down to a safer zone.

Ash was saving as many ponies as possible before taking flight once again, drawing more students to his attention. Flying past several skyscrapers, Ash was able to evade them for the most part while also getting others to safety.

But as he was helping these people, deep in his mind, someone else was speaking to him.

Ash's Mindscape.

Prisma.

Ash stood there in his own mind, thinking about everything that was happening. But one thought that lingered was Twilight Sparkle herself. More than anything right now, Ash wanted to know if she was okay. If she hadn't been harmed in any way. And as he thought this, he appeared behind him. Prisma himself stood behind Ash, placing his hand on his reincarnation's shoulder.

"You're holding back, Ash. You aren't letting it all out. Are you afraid? Is this guilt bothering you that much? Is it stopping you from unleashing all that power deep within you? Tell me, do you care more about them, or her?"

Ash gasped when Prisma asked that question. He couldn't see Prisma right now, the being not being fully there. Merely an apparation that had yet to appear, speaking to Ash from even further beyond.

"They have to pay. They attacked your friends...the homes of where they live and even captured your friends. And now, in an attempt to capture you, they're destroying this universe that has nothing to do with us. Are you going to let them get away with this?"

Ash thought about it. All Prisma was saying was true. All this chaos, thanks to the Arcane Institute. Ash wanted to see everyone captured return. Twilight, Flash Sentry, Volcanion and all those from the Nebel Plateau plus the Azoth Kingdom. He wanted to see them all smile again. He wished to see Volcanion back with Magearna and all those Pokemon at the Nebel Plateau once more. He also wished to see Twilight again, one who he's formed an even stronger bond with these past 4 years.

That was all Ash wanted.

And that is what Prisma managed to capitalise on. In that instance where Ash felt slightly vulnerable, Prisma's influence grew, his Aura beginning to flow within Ash, increasing his anger. The more Prisma influenced Ash, the more his true self was staring to show and reflect in his reincarnations. He hated those who would cause so much hurt, having no respect for anyone but themselves.

And right now, all this pain the Soul Trainers caused were the fault of the Professor. Their leader, their source. Their desire for capturing Ash, Nate and Hilbert, the other reincarnations, as well as ending Prisma would bring nothing but tragedy to this world and beyond as they showed no concern for the damages they were causing to the universe.

Back in the real world, Ash felt this increase in anger, his eyes sharpening. With this increase, Ash suddenly got faster, moving towards Hilbert, flying at a rapid pace that would cause most of the Artificial Pokemon to miss their hits. And since Ash and Hlbert were both on the move, it wouldn't be long until the two of them would get close.

"Hilbert!" Ash spoke, spotting Hilbert in the distance. Hilbert would spot him back.

"Ash! It's Hilda! They-" Before Hilbert could finish, or even get close to Ash, something cut him off. It had happened. A truly critical strike on one of the incarnations had finally happened.

From a distance a tiny beam pierced Hilbert, targeting his soul directly. Within moments, Hilbert fell on his knees, the soul of Prisma being attacked directly. "G-Gagh!" Hilber cried out.

"Hilbert!" Ash bellowed his name, soon feeling that same pain. They were connected after all and being this close only made the pain worse. And the one responsible for this, standing on a rooftop, was none other than Flawless BlueLight.

"Bullseye~" She spoke with an arrogant tone while smirking.

"Gghhhh!" Hilbert continued to cry out, the pain being even worse than before. This was the hit that the Arcane Institute really needed. Something to really affect Prisma. And finally, they got it. This entire time, Flawless was nowhere to be seen, until now. She was just waiting for the best shot and she finally got it.

"Hilbert!" Ash managed to power through, helping Hilbert up as he suffered. Right now, the soul of Prisma within Hilbert was being attacked by a spell specifically designed to destroy it. It felt like multiple jackhammers were going off inside his head, pounding at his head with immense strength.

This was exactly what they needed to win.

At that moment, Hilbert's body would start glowing, his whole body flashing red and blue.

"What's happening?!" Ash called out. "Hey Hilbert!"

"Ash..." Hilbert spoke his name while his eyes would start flashing, the crimson glow altering. Hilbert's glowing body would start emitting sparkles that would gently flow into the air as all that rage he had was dwindling. No longer was he feeling outraged and furious. Now, he felt so weak, weaker than he's ever looked in his life. "Man...this sucks..."

"What's happening to you, Hilbert?!"

"I don't know...This sucks. I wanted to protect Hilda, but I couldn't." Hilbert suddenly started coughing, feeling his body grow weaker. Right before Ash's eyes, it looked like Hilbert was starting to vanish, his body growing transparent. "So much for talking about being number one...Ash, hear me out."

"...?"

"I don't know what's about to happen, but I need you to do this for me. I know you'll pull it off." Hilbert put his arm up, requesting one thing from Ash. "I need you and everyone to protect Hilda...and everyone else. Please."

That was his main request in this moment. And before he could say anything else or for Ash to even respond, his body became entirely sparkles. These Red and Blue Sparkles appeared in plentiful numbers before suddenly entering Ash's body. And then...Hilbert was gone.

Harmony saw it, wanting to keep an eye on Ash. She watched from a distance, witnessing how Hilbert suddenly appeared. The reaction on her face said it all. Absolute shock. As for Ash, he got on his knees, bewildered by the sight of Hilbert's disappearance. His pupils dilated at this realization, shuddering while sweating. He trembled at the thought.

"Grgh...!" Ash punched the hard ground, absolutely gutted and frustrated at this sight. "Hilbert!" Ash cursed before screaming out in anger. Music to Flawless's ears while an absolute horror show for Harmony.

The Fused Pony then looked over at Flawless from the rooftop as the eldest of the BlueLight Sisters took off once she was spotted, letting out a cheeky laugh as she left the scene. Knowing full well of how she was partly responsible for Hilbert's destruction.

Hilbert was gone, but the essence of what appeared to be him was now within Ash, whatever that meant. However, what this did mean was that the Arcane Institute were getting closer and better at achieving their ultimate goal as the journey continues.
