My Little Pokémon: Grander World
You can always count on Brock
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUniverse 50. Mirados. The Mirados Circuit. Afternoon.
The surprise guest was Brock. Despite there being no way of entering this universe for the time being, Brock was here, present and active to aid Ash once more.
He smiled at the sight of the group, happy that he was able to make his way to them. "Hey guys!" He waved. "Sorry if I'm late." He said. The group quickly rushed over to him, hugging him and expressing their joy at seeing him.
"It's so good to see you!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "
"Yeah! What are you doing here?" Applejack asked.
"Well, it's what friends do." He grinned. "I came as soon as I could once I heard how things were turning out." He laughed. He was ready to explain everything to his friends, and he couldn't wait to catch up with everyone.
Pikachu jumped into Brock's arms, happy to see him once again. He hugged the electric mouse tightly and let him nuzzle against his cheek. "Pika! Pika, Pikachu!" He spoke.
"Brock, how did you find us?" Ash asked. "I mean, we're in the Mirados Circuit and we're pretty much in the middle of nowhere." He was amazed that his old friend had found them.
"Harmony Badge, of course?" But it was obvious. The Harmony Badge helped him find them all. That was the purpose it served after all.
"But how did you get to this universe though?" Twilight asked. "I asked Harmony to seal off this Universe until further notice. How did you get here?"
"Well, after you had a chat with Princess Celestia about what Harmony was doing, she ended up speaking with some of us even after the Universe was sealed off."
Universe 1. Equestria. Cantrelot Castle.
Exactly 20 minutes after Celestia was informed of Twilight's plan, the Sun Princess had something else in mind. While she trusted Twilight, she also wanted her to be safe and guarantee a safe return. After all, she managed to escape the Arcane Institute and Celesta just couldn't risk another capture.
"I've decided to send some backup to Twilight and the others." Celestia spoke, addressing Brock and a few others. "You all will head to Universe 50 and assist them. Ensure that they all get back home safely. Harmony's blocked off access to Universe 50, making it difficult for anyone to pass through."
"Then, how are we gonna go through and help them?" Brock asked.
"Hm-hm." Celestia flipped her mane. "Don't let Harmony know this and this is no offense but...my magic is powerful enough to bypass her seal."
"Ohooo! Of course it is, Princess! It's just as powerful as your beauty!" Brock's eyes lit up with hearts.
"Hm-hm. Thank you, Brock. But I'm seeing Cobalion."
"GAH!" A critical hit to Brock's heart. Instant shutdown as he lowered his head.
"I'll pave the way for you all. But get yourselves ready first.
"She told me that the situation was critical and that you all needed some help, and since she had the authority to send someone in, she sent me. Now I'm here to help." Brock answered.
"Well, that explains it. But why you, specifically?" Rarity asked.
"Heh. Who said I came alone?" Brock grinned.
"Wait, there's more of you?" Ash asked. Brock gave a nod.
"Yeah. A few of us showed up." Brock answered, revealing that there were others present here. "Right now, I'm gonna be beside you. The others are gonna keep a low-profile. So, what's the update? And what's with all these vehicles?"
"We're having a race while also fleeing from the Arcanee Institute.." Ash explained as simply as possible. "But the next time we come across 'em, we gotta make sure it's the last time." Brock nodded, understanding the situation.
"I'm in. Where are they now?" He asked, ready to take action.
"Back at the temple. The other racers are doing what they can to hold them off., just so we can keep moving. Speaking of which, it's best that we all start moving right away." Twilight suggested. Even though this was a calm area and a place to relax, slowing down should only last a little while.
"If you wanna stop them now, I've got your back." Brock pointed at himself, ready to confront the Institute's students for the first time. As Ash got back on his hoverboard, Brock followed the others into this large Gyarados Vehicle.
"I'm glad you're here with us, buddy. Let's do our best." Ash smiled at him, and the two of them nodded in agreement.
They then began to ride off. Brock watched as his friend and his friends rode on ahead. It was time for the group to move on and face whatever the Institute had to offer.
But as they moved forward, something appeared in the sky. It was something that would be a hindrance, a force of nature. Dark, heavy storm clouds were rolling in and rain began to pour down in thick sheets.
"It looks like a storm is rolling in." Ash said, feeling the rain begin to pour. It looked like a rough storm was about to come, which could affect the race overall. Either way, they started moving faster, just trying to get to the end as fast as they could.
This lax area was relatively small, not being too vast and wide. As they rode through it, they eventually made it to another part of the track, only to find it was not an area for resting. It was a place for a challenge.
In front of the racers was a long, wide bridge that stretched over a large canyon. It was an imposing sight and was built of thick stone. The bridge was lined with several stone arches and columns, which gave it an ancient feel.
But it was soon apparent that the bridge was not in great shape. It looked to have seen better days. The surface of the bridge was cracked and worn, and the arches and columns had been damaged. It was obvious that the bridge had been neglected and not maintained. Not in this futuristic society.
"This must have been an old part of the city that was left behind." Twilight noted.
"Well, it looks like it's going to be a challenge getting across it. The storm doesn't make it any easier." Brock said. The others nodded, understanding that the storm had worsened the situation. The rain had caused the surface of the bridge to become slick, and the wind was strong. The bridge swayed in the wind, which made crossing it a dangerous undertaking. As the group made it to the top, the wind began to howl, the rain poured down, and the thunder crashed.
But it wasn't just them who were gonna face this. As soon as they were halfway through, the remaining group of racers came up behind them, their vehicles being attuned to handle the weather conditions. They all knew the situation was bad, but they also knew they needed to get across the bridge in order to keep moving.
As they raced forward, they all were trying their best to stay on the bridge, even as the winds and the rain tried to push them off. As the storm continued, the winds grew stronger and the bridge began to shake, the racers doing what they can to move ahead. It wasn't just the weather. There was something else too, and that something else was starting to show itself. A bright flash of light illuminated the area, followed by a loud sound, a thundering boom that echoed through the sky.
The source of the sound was revealed. It was a vehicle moving at sounds so great that it was breaking the Sound Barrier, creating a massive Sonic Boom as a result. A Sonic Boom is a powerful shock wave created when a vehicle moves faster than the speed of sound, creating a huge shock wave. The vehicle itself was not just any kind of racer, but one that was designed to move at speeds so fast that the laws of physics were bending.
"Was that a Sonic Boom?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah! What kind of vehicle can cause a Sonic Boom like that?!" Spike asked. "And why is there such a loud thunderous sound accompanying it?"
"Maybe that one!" Rainbow Dash gulped, aiming her hoof at the one responsible. Everyone, including the other racers looked up ahead to ssee the Arcane Institute approaching.
Alpha had merged all the vehicles of the racers she and the Institute had defeated into one large machine. The vehicle itself was massive and imposing. It had a long, sleek body and was made from a dark metal alloy. Its surface had a glossy finish that made it gleam in the light. Its engine was a fusion of several engines, and the sound of its powerful roar was deafening. Its design was so aerodynamic and streamlined that it could easily cut through the air.
And it was moving at a fast pace. The Arcane Institute was right behind Ash and the others, trying to catch up. They had just crossed the halfway mark on the bridge. The Arcane Institute had just begun to catch up with the group of racers, but they weren't done yet.
"Fire." Alpha made the other as this vehicle had not one, not two, not three, but a total of 30 Quantum Cannons, each of them firing at once.
"Look out!" Twilight shouted as she saw what was happening.
Quantum energy was unleashed, causing a large, colorful blast to tear through the air and rip across the bridge. The energy had a wide range, and the explosion was powerful, destroying the bridge and causing the entire structure to collapse.
Ash, the Mane Six and their allies managed to escape the explosion, but they were still caught in the shock wave. The energy from the explosion sent them tumbling through the air. They were thrown about by the shock waves, and the force was enough to cause their hoverboards and vehicles to spin wildly out of control.
Thankfully, the vehicle Galela gave Twilight and the other proved to be more than durable enough. It was able to withstand the energy blast and was even able to absorb the shock waves, allowing it to remain relatively unharmed.
But as for Ash, his board was still in one piece, and he was still able to fly, albeit in an erratic, jumbled way. His hoverboard was still in good condition thanks to the upgrades Cure gave it. He was able to regain control and land on the other side of the bridge.
However, due to so much Quantum Energy being used, the effects of this power would show and start affecting not just the land but the water benath the bridge.
The blast tore through the land and into the water below. The blast was so powerful that the water in the area was completely displaced. It created a giant crater, and the water rushed back in, filling the crater and causing waves to ripple across the entire lake. It caused a large amount of destruction and displacement of the water, as well as a huge surge of energy. But there was more than just the blast that would affect things.
Because this was quantum energy, the effect it would have on the water itself would cause a chain reaction. This was not just the result of the blast, but the result of a chain reaction of the Quantum Energy reacting with the water below, causing the creation of the most powerful of storms, one so strong and destructive, it could only be described as a Super Quantum Tempest.
The storm was massive and swirling, the clouds thick and dark. They were so black and dense, it looked as though the entire world was covered in darkness. The wind howled and the rain pounded, the thunder booming with a deafening intensity.
"What the..." Spike was in disbelief at this chaotic tempest of Quantum Energy and Water. Not only did it make the water far more violent, but it also gave it Hyperboiling. The water temperatures far beyond boiling, creating superheated steam that could through metal. Metal such as the vehicles of the other racers.
"Okay...the Princess hooked us up with this vehicle, so it has to do something that can help here." Twilight looked at the controls and pressed a few buttons.
"Come on...come on..." Twilight was pressing buttons, and suddenly the vehicle's surface became a shiny silver color, as if it were made of chrome. "A heat shield?!" She exclaimed, knowing what it was meant to do. It would deflect and protect against the superhot steam and allow them to cross the water. She pressed another button and a ramp was revealed from the vehicle. "Now we just have to find a way across the water..."
"Don't worry. I'll handle this!" Climbing up to the top of the vehicle was Brock, ready to play his part. He was here to help after all and it was time for him to show just how much he could help. Brock stood ontop of the moving vehicle, using his Pokeball to summon his Steelix."Go, Steelix!"
"Steelix!"
"Make a path for us! Use Stone Edge!"
"Steel!" Steelix raised his head up into the air and opened his mouth. Then, from inside of his body, a massive wave of power surged forward, causing the earth around him to shake and rumble, creating a shockwave that spread out in a huge wave of energy, as a powerful earthquake spread across the landscape.
As Steelix used his powerful attack, a series of massive stone pillars began to shoot up from the bottom of the water. Each one of the pillars was tall and wide, forming a long bridge of sorts. They formed a pathway, each pillar spaced perfectly so that a person or vehicle could walk or ride across. It was as if a giant bridge had been made out of stone, and the path stretched out over the boiling water below.
"Alright, Steelix!" Brock was happy at Steelix for the work it had done, but there was more to do. Such as dealing with the Arcane Institute. "Time to go on the offensive. "Strike that vehicle! Use Dragon Breath!" Brock shouted, as he commanded his Steelix to launch an attack.
Steelix opened his mouth and a stream of energy shot out, it was a swirling vortex of energy, that glowed a vibrant green, that shot out at incredible speed, hitting the vehicle of the Arcane Institute.
The blast hit the Arcane Institute, causing it to be thrown back, the metal screeching and twisting from the impact. But the damage was superficial at best. It wasn't going to stop the Arcane Institute from attacking, as they launched a barrage of Quantum energy attacks at Steelix.
However, Steelix was not so easily taken down. Not with such a durable body. The beams crashed into him, sending waves of force through his body, but he remained steadfast, not budging from the attack. He let out a roar of anger, as the energy beams bounced off his tough scales.
And yet, even when they failed, the Quantum Energy would leave behind disastrous effects. Effects such as bending air itself, creating a localized event horizon. Parts of the sky above would become a black void, the clouds in that area would disappear and be replaced by this black void. This event horizon had an extremely strong pull of gravity. The pull of gravity from the event horizon would start to pull Steelix in. And while Steelix could take a few blows, this would be different, this was a very strong gravitational force.
This was Twilight's chance to stop that black void. Not just her, but her Espeon as well. The duo would head up to the top of the vehicle right next to Brock. They could feel the strong gravity pulling at them. The air was heavy and thick, almost as if a blanket of lead was covering them. Twilight could feel the pressure in her head, as if her skull was about to be crushed. Espeon was feeling the same pressure. They both had to fight against it as they concentrated, trying to keep their wits about them.
"Together, Eve!"
"Espeon!" Twilight's eyes lit up with as much magical power as she had while Espeon channelled the maximum capabilities of her Psychic. Both of their eyes would glow with the same bright, vibrant colors. The Magic and Psychic energy would create a swirling, multicolored aura around them. They would then focus on this black hole, and try to push it away from them. But this was a massive pull, they were pushing back against an event horizon. They were trying to use all the force that they had in order to keep this event horizon away. The force was immense, and they felt it was slowly pushing back, inch by inch.
"They won't succeed. All cannons, fire." Alpha aimed to blast them with each cannon once more, potentially causing more harm to the area. The cannons started charging up, but this time Brock would ensure that they would never be fired again.
"Target those cannons, Steelix! Stone Edge!"
"Lix!" Steelix focused on the vehicle's cannons and then launched his own attack at them. This Stone Edge would be stronger and faster, the stone pillars were much thicker and taller, and they were able to smash the cannons with a powerful force, targeting the holes that were the sources of the beam blasts.
This caused an explosive chain reaction, the Quantum Energy being overloaded, resulting in an explosion. This was enough to stop the Event Horizon from getting closer. Twilight and Eve could finally relax, but now the explosion was going to be a big issue.
Twilight looked to see what happened to Alpha and the Arcane Institute. She could see the vehicle's structure was now warped and damaged, with large pieces missing. The explosion caused the students and the Soul Trainers inside to shake violently from their cannons being broken down. But Alpha wasn't shaken, she wasn't hurt, her face had a serious and intense look on her face. Her expression showed that she was ready to do anything to finish her mission.
"At this rate, we'll lose all our advantages at catching up to them!" Flawless growled.
"Not yet. I built this to ensure our victory and I am not about to let aid victory escape from our grasp." Alpha spoke. "Fire it. The Particle Cascade."
Flawless nodded and looked at her sisters. "Alright. You know what to do. Let's get this thing fired. We've wasted way too much time now!" The other BlueLight sisters nodded and got ready, all three of them beginning to charge their magic to full power. The energy that was coming out of them was immense.
The energy that they were building up was like a tsunami, a massive wave of power. Hypercharged quantum particles kept on building up in the vehicle and would soon reach its maximum power. All the power that they had gathered in such a short time would be enough to destroy everything that stood in their way.
The energy of the BlueLight Sisters was building up, growing in power. Their magical energy was so strong that it could be seen as a huge purple light, shining through the night sky, and the earth began to tremble beneath them, as if the very world was trembling in fear of their power. The light that came from the sisters was blinding and was shining in every direction. It was like a beacon in the night. The light was so bright that it would be visible from the vehicle. And the power of the light was only getting stronger. The power of the Particle Cascade was building and building.
If this were to land, it would cause objects and enemies to unravel into pure energy. The energy that was being created would be so powerful that it would cause the very air to vibrate and cause the earth to tremble. And it would be the most destructive weapon that the Arcane Institute had at their disposal, courtesy of Alpha.
Brock narrowed his eyes, looking at his Mega Stone. If he was to stop something like that, then the power of Mega Evolution would have to be used. Before that, he would have Steelix try and stop the Particle Cascade with another Stone Edge.
Steelix opened its mouth, releasing another Stone Edge. The energy from this Stone Edge was more intense, more focused. The crystals that came out of its mouth were like a laser, and they were headed right towards the Particle Cascade.
But the Institute would not be denied.
Alpha's Gardevoir would fly out of the vehicle, using Psychic to grab each of the crystals and redirect them into the ground around them. "Voir!" She refused to let them interrupt the weapon no matter what, making sure that it would be unleashed.
"Looks like we're gonna have to go for broke. Steelix!" Brock took a moment to focus on his Stone that he carried on his wrist, and then his eyes would glow bright blue, as the power of the stone flowed into Steelix, and the energy would flow back into Brock, as he was now linked with Steelix, their minds were one, and their strength would be multiplied by the power of the bond that they shared.
"Mega Evolve!" Brock shouted. Steelix roared, the power of Mega Evolution flowing into his body, making his steel scales glow and shine, and his crystals were glowing with a powerful blue light. Steelix was ready to fight, to put everything into this battle, as he was going to put everything he had on the line in this battle.
"Steelix!"
At the same time, the beam was unleashed, as Alpha watched. The Particle Cascade was a huge, powerful beam of purple energy, and it was being unleashed. This would be enough to level an entire city. Possibly more.
"Use Dragon Breath!"
"Stee...Lix!" Steelix would shoot out a huge burst of purple fire from its mouth, which was a powerful and intense beam of energy, aimed directly at the Particle Cascade.
Brock could feel the heat of the attack, he was standing so close to it. He felt the force of the energy, and it made him feel like he was being hit with a hammer.
But this wouldn't stop the Particle Cascade. It just kept going and going, and the power of the beam was not stopping, not slowing down, not diminishing. It was a beam of unstoppable, overwhelming, destructive power, and Steelix could not stop it, despite his efforts.
"Haha, yes! It's pushing through!" Violet cheered. "We're gonna win this! This is, like, sooooo happening!"
"I wasn't worried for a second." Flawless crossed her hooves, feeling proud that they made it this far. "Good night's rest here we come~"
But Brock had an ace up his sleeve. He was prepared for something this dangerous. With a smirk, Brock would suddenly take out a second Harmony Badge he was in possession of, not just one. And with all of his might, he threw the badge towards the Particle Cascade Beam as hard as he could.
When the Harmony Badge made contact, all of the various forms of energy that helped make it would interact with the beam. The Aura, Infinity Energy, Magic, Rift Energy, Light of Arceus, Changeling Magica and so on would start to react, as if it was in contact with something dangerous, like a volatile acid.
These two grandiose forms of energy would react to one another, and it would start to build up to a critical level, causing the beam to become unstable, and start to break down, slowly losing its power and intensity.
"What...?" Alpha was actually stunned that her plan had been thwarted, as the beam would finally become completely harmless. "That... That's impossible..."
Brock smirked. He created the greatest sabotage yet. Doing this would completely render the vehicle immobile as well. It would take a lot of time and effort to get this vehicle back in shape. Brock had completely turned the tides, and the Arcane Institute was now on the back foot, with no means to pursue their quarry with good enough speed.
But Alpha refused to give up. And so did the Betas and Zetas. "Gardevoir. Add your Hyper Beam." Alpha ordered. "You three. Your Flawless Aura at once."
"Yes ma'am!" The sisters said in unison.
And so the Gardevoir fired off a huge Hyper Beam to assist the Particle Cascade, while the BlueLight Sisters fired off their Flawless Aura in tandem, hoping to add enough power to make sure that the energy beam would not lose its strength. They hoped this would give the beam enough power to push through and reach the end, and then, when the Particle Cascade finally finished its course, it would obliterate everything that was in its way.
It seemed to work at first, with the power being enough to make it go further. But it would be intercepted by someone else. From above, an Aura Sphere would descend, dealing the final blow to this beam before it could gain anymore of its strength back. The beam was not only blown in half, but the outburst would envelop the vehicle of the Arcane Institute, causin Gardevoir to put up a shield immediately.
The group watched the vehicle be enveloped in a Qantum Light, all its weapons coming offline, followed by a powerful outburst. There was one individual responsible for this, prompting them all to look up.
It was Lugia.
Or rather, it was Mew transformed as Lugia.
Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity and Raleigh had arrived in a nick of time.
"Hiya guys!" Pinkie Pie waved to her friends. "Hop on! If you wanna at least!" But they would be fine with their vehicles. Ash's hoverboard was still active and the Gyarados Vehicle was as durable as it could be, enduring all of that. "Oh, Brock, you're here too?!"
Ash smiled at his friends, glad that they pulled through and managed to successfully push back the Arcane Institute to a great degree. They all accelerated, continuing down the path as Mew flew alongside all of his friends, his massive Lugia Body flying close to everyone else.
And the crowd loved it. The spectators witnessed every action from start to finish. The Mirados Circuit was nearly over and what a way to keep them entertained. The cheers were titanic, as they saw this happen.
Pendence smiled, satisfied at how this was turning out.
"Hm. It was worth getting them involved." She smirked to herself, as she watched the final leg of the Mirados Circuit.
But despite this massive pushback, it was not yet the end of the Arcane Institute's forces here. They all knew that. But they didn't know how persistent they truly were. The vehicle had been flipped to the side, totalled and ruined, unable to continue, Flames raged across the surface as their heat was boosted by the remains of Quantum Energy.
And within that fire, Alpha stood. She had her Gardevoir blow it away as all the Arcane Institute members managed to withstand that outburst. Thanks to Gardevoir, of course
Alpha walked through the parted flames and the heat was such that the road was melted, with her footsteps causing the metal of the road to melt even more. She was clearly furious at being thwarted. But her face didn't show that emotion. She simply saw this as another way of them stalling time
And so were the three BlueLight Sisters, with the same amount of anger coursing through their bodies.
"Ugh, those jerks!" This isn't over, Ash!" Flawless yelled, her voice full of rage.
"You're right. It isn't," said Alpha, looking back at some of the students. While they withstood, a majority had passed out from the aftershock, unable to continue for the time being. It was now just Alpha, the Betas, Zetas, the BlueLight Sisters and five other students left.
They would have to be the ones to finish things here.
The vehicle, on the other hand, was totalled. But not their tech. They could still use that, despite what had happened. They could still use that to track Ash down and stop him, if needed. And the BlueLight Sisters would help in every single way.
"We will stop them. We will capture them." Alpha promised, her eyes turning a fiery red, as the flames reflected in her pupils, the only part of her that showed emotion.
As the journey continues.
Chapter 691 End.
