Erase all Bonds
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUniverse 1. Equestria. Canterlot. Day.
The group had returned to Equestria, straight in Canterlot. The gateway to the castle opened up, bringing in Ash and his friends. And upon arrival, the residents were met with a massive Pinkie Pie who was still a monster. The Sun Princess looked up at Pinkie Pie's monstrous form, seeing her giggle as her cloud-like mane would flow in the wind.
"Uh, hey, Princess Celestia. Could you maybe deal with this?" Twilight asked, with a sheepish grin. Celestia saw that they succeeded in driving off both the Arcane Institute and more recently, the Ultalyisum Dynasty. Their mission was largely successful with the only drawbacks being the fact that Prisma did awaken once more and Hilbert was now a spirit. But on the bright side, everyone was here, safe and sound.
"Well, you all did well, and with no casualties I see." said Celestia before looking at Pinkie Pie as well as the clothes of Ash which were dirty, along with Twilight Sparkle and Raleigh. "For the most part anyways. Let me just fix you all up."
Celestia narrowed her eyes, focusing on all those who needed a good refresh. A golden light flew out of her horn, enveloping Ash, Pinkie Pie, Twilight and Raleigh. Celestia would obviously clean three of them up, removing any dirt and damage done to their clothes, even repairing tears and holes in the clothes of Ash and Raleigh. To take it a step further, she moved her magic to the side, focusing on those that have taken some heavy damage, such as Hilda. Hilda would soon find herself healed up by Celestia's Light, the magic that damaged her was now being reversed, bringing her back to her full self.
And as for Pinkie Pie, Celestia already knew what to do. She was knowledgeable enough to know that this was the result of another world's magic being within Pinkie Pie, so all she had to do was something similar to what Primsa did, but less destructive. Burn the magic away.
Her light was now that of the Sun's heat, burning the injected magic away, causing Pinkie Pie's monstrous form to start diminishing right before everyone's eyes. Her cloud-like mane would fizzle away, returning to the usual cotton candy appearance instead.
Her massive size would drop dramatically, bringing the Earth Pony back to her regular self. Well, as regular as she can be. "Awww! I wanted to be a monster a bit longer!" Pinkie Pie groaned, genuinely enjoying that monstrous form. She seemed to be the only one that was still in her right mind back there.
Celestia would unleash the finishing touches, erasing the magic from within Applejack too, bringing her back to full strength as well. The Farmgirl groaned, slowly opening her eyes. She would find herself on her knees, looking around, and then to Celestia who was the source of all this light. She stood back up, but would feel her stomach rumble, and loudly.
"So hungry...Need...Granny's Apple Pies..."
The Sun Princess smiled, turning to look at Twilight Sparkle, her personal protege, and Ash, the one this is all centered around. They would both be fixed, their torn clothes now being fully restored to their former states, with Ash's hat no longer having a hole in it.
"Now that you're all fixed and safe, you can rest up now." Celestia explained, allowing for them to have the choice to leave. Twilight nodded her head. Naturally, they all did. Tuckered out and exhausted, they all walked off to their homes, with Twilight and Ash deciding to head to a restaurant in Ponyville to eat and talk about what just happened.
Celestia would assess everything that has happened and would try to build up on it. The onto share her this information would be Raleigh. The Prince of Azoth stuck around, deciding to inform Princess Celestia about everything.
"Haaah! I'm beat!" Ash would lay on his back, stopping at a nearby field while trying to head back to Ponyville. He needed a moment, taking in the familiar feeling of his universe.
He was so glad that they were all safe. They had managed to drive away the Ultalysium Dynasty and the Arcane Institute. That was good, considering the fact that the two were quite powerful and a handful.
Twilight did the same, also falling on her back exhaustion. Pikachu and Espeon would collectively stand next to their respective trainers.
But now, it was over. And now he could just relax. He would look over at Twilight, his best friend, and he could tell that she was feeling the same thing as well. "Man...What a rush. I haven't been getting my 8 hours of sleep a lot recently." Ash groaned, the lack of sleep was catching up with him.
"Same here, Ash. I haven't been resting well too, not since we've been dealing with the Arcane Institute. I'm not used to this much overtime." Pikachu would lay down next to his trainer, while Espeon would sit right next to her.
"By the way...back there, Prisma showed up again. But this time, I wasn't in full control." Ash said while looking up at the blue skies. "Prisma took over for the first time and I ended up hurting Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. "
"You did?"
"Yeah. I hated it. Prisma would've almost destroyed them if I didn't take back some control at the last second. It was the worst. The absolute worst." To Ash, that was the worst thing he could think of. Harming his own friends.
"Well, you stopped him. And that's what matters, right?" Twilight said.
"Yeah. But I hate hurting them. It sucks. Even though Rainbow and Fluttershy let me know that it wasn't really me and that they understand why that happened it doesn't mean it still doesn't feel bad. I was the one with control after all."
Twilight understood what he was talking about. She got what he meant. He did hurt them. No matter the circumstances, that still happened and he had to live with that, unless he could overcome it. And the best way to do that in Ash's mind was by stopping Prisma forever.
"To be honest, you've had better control than me this entire time, Ash." Twilight would also look up at the azure skies. "Twilight Luminaria's had an easier time taking over my body and Sci-Twi's. We both have this issue, don't we? I wish the two of them would just leave us. But then again...a part of me wants to make friends with Prisma. After looking into his past, my mind changed on who he was. It may be impossible to befriend him, but I still want to try."
"I get what you mean..." Ash replied. "I don't much about Twilight Luminaria. But I already know she only wanted to protect everyone. She's only doing what she knows what she can do."
"Mmm..." Twilight agreed with a light grumble. The two of them understood why their Incarnations do what they do and did what they did, all due to one problem. The resets. And that was all thanks to the Star Tyrant. Although, now that Twilight was thinking about it, she did remember how the All-Seeing and All-Consuming were apparently related to the Star Tyrant. Not necessarily by family, but by species.
That was something she would have to look into later.
"But, we'll still stop them together. Right?" Twilight looked over at Ash.
"Yeah. Together." Ash agreed. He had faith that no matter what happens, the two of them will always have each other's backs.
Twilight smiled at him, nodding her head in agreement. The two of them wished to get a better hang of these souls that rest within them. So that another awakening never comes. However, if one does come, it will be up to them to try and restrain Prisma and Luminaria respectively.
Ash and Twilight would slowly fall asleep, their exhaustion finally getting to them. The two of them were now sleeping side by side, and as they slept, they felt a sense of relief. They were able to defeat the Ultalysium Dynasty, the Arcane Institute, and most importantly, Prisma.
This would be the end for the time being. For now, they would need to rest and recharge, and they could finally sleep knowing that things were safe for the time being.
At the Arcane Institute, Alpha was currently undergoing changes to both her brain and her soul. The reason was simple. To deny thoughts about Raleigh that relate to Kimia out of her head.
The Soul Trainer sat on a chair, with a machine hooked up to her, injecting a strange substance into her body. This substance was a special type of energy, one that was able to wipe away memories.
As she was undergoing the procedure, she was being asked questions by a female doctor, one who was asking questions about her feelings. Alpha had no problem answering these questions, not having any emotions at the moment.
She was currently under the effect of a new spell the Arcane Institute was testing out, one that could remove any kind of emotional attachments or bonds. She had volunteered for the test, as it could prove to be very beneficial.
"NGH!" Alpha groaned as the magic started to work on her. She felt a surge of pain, mainly at the central soul. The Soul of Kimia.
She was in pain, and she was not going to lie about it. She felt the pain in her mind, in her heart, and even her soul. She had a strong, burning, desire to save Raleigh. That was a bond that was difficult to break, despite the amount of time she has spent away from him.
"It hurts!" She cried, holding her head, feeling a massive migraine.
"It'll be alright." The female doctor reassured. "Just hold on. But you aren't suppossed to feel any pain. Your biology shouldn't allow it."
Alpha was in so much pain, she couldn't think straight. She was being overwhelmed with emotions. The strongest ones were love, anger, sadness, and happiness. These were all very powerful emotions, and they were causing her to suffer.
She could barely hear what the female doctor was saying, the words coming through muffled. All she could hear was the sound of her heart beating, and her own breathing. She could feel her body trembling, her eyes watering, and her chest tightening.
It felt like her body was being torn apart, and she was struggling to hold on. But she knew that if she gave in, she would perish. She would cease to exist. And she couldn't let that happen.
With all of her might, she fought against the emotions that were consuming her. She pushed them back, and forced herself to stay calm. She tried to take deep breaths, but she was finding it difficult. Her chest was hurting, and she could barely breathe.
Watching this through the window was Silver Swirl, witnessing how Alpha was being readjusted and recalibrated. Kimia's soul would pulsate and cause Alpha great pain. But she still fought through it.
Eventually, after what seemed like forever, Alpha managed to push away the feelings that were tearing her apart. She could feel her body calming down, her heart rate slowing down, and her breathing returning to normal. She sighed in relief, grateful that it was over. She was thankful that she managed to remain alive.
Unfortunately, Kimia's soul was still present inside Alpha, since that is what made up her entire being and skillset. What that meant was that every now and then, she'd still think about Raleigh and worry over him.
"Despite your status as a clone, the soul attached to you is not an imitation, and as such, the memory deletion only works temporarily, which means you'll needs more treatment in order to keep those thoughts away. After you finish a mission, come back here and we can do this process all over again."
It is an unfortunate truth, but the institute has decided to prioritize the mission above anything else. Alpha had already accepted it. With no memory of wanting to reunite with her brother or anyone for that matter, the cloned individual continued the mission set in front of her. She left her room once the session was concluded.
In front of a window, staring out in space, was Silver Swirl. She was observing her colleague and wondered about her current state of being. She knew what the Arcane Institute was doing to her and what their plans were. To Silver Swirl, it was rather disheartening seeing this. To see Alpha lose that part of her reminded Silver Swirl of her own daughter and how she was lost thanks to Prisma's destruction.
"Excellent work, doctor." Grogar's voice spoke, moving across the room. "Now, I would like for this upgraded Alpha to head out and join the BlueLight Sister's Team. They are present in Universe 42. Another one of Prisma's Counterparts has been found, but is giving them trouble."
"Oh? Who is it now?" The doctor asked.
"The one called Calem. His alternate soul that Prisma placed holds the Soul of Xerneas, which makes him the hardest to properly incapacitate. With the Soul of Xerneas, he can easily reverse any condition done onto him, as well as regenerate his injuries. " Grogar explained.
"Sounds like trouble." The Doctor replied.
"Which is exactly why we're sending her to deal with them. But, there is something extra I would like to add to Alpha and the other Betas and Zetas. Recently, I've found a way to harness the magic of Horizon Storm. While it isn't exactly Twilight Sparkle's magic, it is linked to it and the closest we can get. She does not seem to have a soul since she is a manifestation of emotions, but her magic is still transferable. Alpha. Get ready to receive the magic and set out soon."
"Yes, Professor." Alpha complied.
Silver Swirl watched as Grogar talked with Alpha and the Doctor. Soon, the Soul Clone would walk off to receive this magic and prepare for her next mission. She didn't need to rest, the concept of stamina being null for her.
"Um, Professor." Silver Swirl spoke up, hoping her voice would reach the Professor. She made sure to add some magic to enhance it.
"Speak, Silver Swirl." His voice spoke back.
"What about Twilight? I mean, our Twilight. Twilight Moonlight. She hasn't come back yet ever since the mission at the Nebel Plateau. Shouldn't we go after and get her back?"
"She has been with Ash Ketchum's group for a while now. I trust that she is doing her best to sabotage them. But it would be a waste if our best student does not return. I will look into that later and put my faith in Moonlight. I refuse to believe she would let me down."
Universe 1. Equestria. Canterlot.
Little did he know, Twilight Moonlight had largely given up on the Arcane Institute, refusing to go back after what she has been through. Instead, she would relinquish herself to Princess Celestia, ready to pay for her crimes. The counterpart to Twilight Moonlight stood before Princess Celestia as multiple guards were present along with Shining Armor, Captain of the Guards back at the Crystal Empire.--
Princess Celestia walked toward Twilight Moonlight, standing before her without batting an eyelash. "So, you must be Twilight Moonlight, one of the incarnations of Twilight Sparkle who was tasked with a grand mission," Celestia spoke, observing her quietly. "I presume that you have a lot to discuss."
Twilight Moonlight stayed quiet, unable to reply as she was deep in thought. There were numerous things running through her mind, from recent events to the fate of Ash Ketchum, whom she considered a key foe. But now, she wasn't so sure.
"You are apparently the best student at the Arcane Institute and helped with the capture of my own best student, as well as many Pokemon and people of the Azoth Kingdom and the Nebel Plateau. You are also dedicated to destroying Ash and all his counterparts." She added. "Is that correct?"
"Yes..."
"But, from what Raleigh has told me, things have changed. You have largely accepted defeat thanks to Twilight. I suppose the only one capable of stopping you was one of your own." Celestia turned around. "And you haven't yet thought about returning to the Arcane Institute?"
"No, Your Majesty."
"Then you know what happens next. Since you didn't return, you can't escape from the punishments that will come your way. You can't run away from facing your crimes." Celestia continued, causing Twilight Moonlight to wince and flinch each time. "Threatening my friends, let alone my student. Bringing grief to others and disturbing the peace. These are all terrible actions you have committed. And we cannot forgive you for this. As I am speaking, our forces are busy helping those you and your companions affected."
"I apologize. I really am sorry, Your Highness... But, what will happen to me? I'm not going to be executed, am I?" Twilight Moonlight asked, suddenly fearful for her life. She figured the punishment would be harsh. However, she didn't expect it to be quite as severe as possible. And it terrified her.
"That, we can assure you, we won't resort to that. But it may very well be a heavy punishment." Princess Celestia raised her voice, making Moonlight close her eyes. "You can amend all of this...by working alongside us."
"...What?" Twilight Moonlight opened her eyes, blindsided by this outcome.
"What?" The guards all said in unison.
"You're kidding, right?!" Shining Armor shook his head, unsure of that decision whatsoever. But then, Celestia slid over to him, speaking in his ear.
"You must be out of your mind if you think I'm letting somepony as powerful as her not be on our side." Celestia spoke to her niece's husband quietly, trying to convince him. "Besides, it's playing the long game. She could still awaken as Twilight Luminaria at any time and easily escape when you think about it. This will be a good way to see if she really commits to redeeming herself and if she does not, we're still gaining an incredibly useful ally. Trust me, Armor." She backed off and smiled. "After all, we did become friends with Discord after who knows how long he has plagued Equestria. Not too unlike your sister-in-law who became friends with Chrysalis. Eh?"
"Mmmrgh...I guess, But she's still a huge threat..." Shining Armor stammered.
"Well, you know that threats always have something to use against them, which we have plenty for this one." Princess Celestia then motioned towards Twilight Moonlight.
"As you wish..." He replied reluctantly. "But I hope you know what you're doing." The older Alicorn nodded and moved towards the younger.
"Listen, Twilight Moonlight, as long as you continue to work with us to make amends, I promise you'll be rewarded eventually." Celestia promised, earning a nod from her.
"I'll... I'll do my best." She said. If this was the best way to make up for her crimes, she would take it. It beats being stuck in a prison or anything like that. Then again, Celestia knew a prison would not hold her. Not with the being that rests within her.
From this day onward, Twilight Moonlight was a temporary member of One Light. Now the real question, could she handle this task and battle her own former allies? Celestia already decided on this option, doing this as a way to test Twilight Moonlight to see how far she goes with this as the journey continues.
