My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Grogar Returns
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Mount Evertop. Nightfall.
By using the Soul of his Original Self, Grogar had managed to emerge with a body perfectly fit for him in every possible way. An injured Rainbow Dash, Misty Fly and their Pokemon looked on in shock as Grogar appeared from the shadows. The Creator of all Monsters was finally here.
He very much resembled how he did when using a substitute soul form. But this time, he truly looked like Grogar himself. Albeit with more upwards horns due to the merging of two.

"Aah..." Grogar took it in, feeling the atmosphere and his body. His hooves were sturdy and firm, his fur silky and smooth to the touch, and his coat was a rich and vibrant purple. The being had an impressive stature, towering over his surroundings with his large, ram-like build, his presence dominating the space around him.
"Now, I can finish the task I so desire." The professor grinned. He turned around and saw that Rainbow was still struggling to stay awake. "A shame you weren't able to stop me. Not only do I have a body, but my own soul is now one with the original Grogar. Do you know what this means?"
"Ugh...? That you're 10x worse?" Ranbow Dash groaned while slowly getting up, the pain was evident.
"It means, I am beyond both myself and the original Grogar. By combining our soul as one, I have become a greater Grogar. A definitive one." Grogar boasted, proud of his new found accomplishment. "But your effort was admirable. And for that, you shall be rewarded." With the snap of his fingers, an invisible magical force was exerted on the Wonderbolts, restraining their movement. The grip on their limbs was unyielding, rendering them immobile as Grogar approached, his hooves clacking on the floor ominously. "I will spare you. You're a strong trainer and you'll live to see the day when I save the multiverse from its inevitable demise."
"Gh...!"
"C-Cast!" Castform gasped, watching in horror, helpless and paralyzed.
"All of you will bare witness to my victory. Any attempt to stop me is only leading to a terrible outcome, that much is true." Grogar continued. "Ash Ketchum all those counterparts will be properly destroyed, permanantly ending Prisma's potential return. Only then, will peace and harmony reign forever."
"As if! I'd never let Ash be destroyed just to achieve peace!" Rainbow Dash rejected it.
"That so? You would risk the lives of countless others in other universes, and the countless more that will perish if Prisma returns and destroys the Lost Universe, causing it to reset again and again. Would you really allow that, all to prevent 10 individuals from being destroyed?" Grogar asked.
"Ash is my friend. I owe a bunch to him for helping me with all things Pokemon. A lot of us do. Everypony in Equestria does! So yeah, I'll gladly risk it." The Wonderbolt retorted.
"Fool." Grogar replied, looking at her. "That kind of thinking is exactly what will doom your friends. Or even yourself." The professor's words echoed in the chamber. "The safety of many outweight the same of a few. Queen Twilight Luminaria herself understood that. In fact...now that I've finally awoken, I can properly ensure that her Majesty returns as well. Yes, yes...I can draw out her soul!"
"You won't get anywhere near Twilight or even Ash!" Rainbow Dash barked.
"I'm already expecting Princess Celestia to have an array of obstacles in my way. But now, I strongly believe I can overcome them. There is one thing I can do to properly boost my chance at victory." Grogar smirked, his eyes locking onto Castform. He had something in mind. Something rather dark. "Witness! As I turn your Pokemon into a Monster of my own Creation!" He would zap Castform with his powerful magic.
"C-CAST!" Castform cried in pain, his body glowing bright green, a transformation taking hold of him. He would scream, growing and expanding, changing and evolving before everyone. The Weather Pokemon was turning into a monster of immense size, a towering behemoth of raw power and primal might that dwarfed his previous form.
His small, round body has expanded into an amorphous mass of swirling elemental energy, with its form shifting between stormy clouds, crackling ice, roaring flames, and violent winds. He now had an eerie mask of glowing eyes and a jagged, lightning-like mouth. Tendrils of elemental energy were constantly lashing out from his body.
"Heh. Quite the transformation, wouldn't you say?" Grogar chuckled, admiring his new creation.
"Wha..C-Cast..." Rainbow was horrified, her eyes wide. This wasn't a regular transformation, nor evolution. It was far from anything that the Wonderbolt has seen.
In fact, right now, she wasg etting Deja Vu. As if this has happened before. And it has, but to her. Rainbow Dash was turned into a monster by the Ultalysium Dynasty and now the same thing had happened to one of her Pokemon.
"Hm. It has been a while since I've named a monster, let alone make one. I think I'll call this one...No. Castform will do just fine. Now, Castform! Lay waste to this entire mountain!" Grogar ordered, his voice booming, reverberating through the empty hall. His order carried a sense of finality, a command that would set into motion a catastrophic event, an unstoppable force that would leave nothing but destruction in its wake.
The moment Castform heard his new Master's command, the Pokemon nodded and let loose a terrifyingly loud screech. The noise was unlike any they had ever heard, a piercing cry that seemed to echo in the depths of their souls. Then, without warning, Castform body glowed with an intense fiery hue, with solar flares arcing off his core. His tendrils resemble flames, and the air around it shimmers with heat. With the fire that raged within, Castform unleashed a massive explosion of Fire-type attacks that engulfed the cavern, attempting to destroy everything.
Quickly, Rainbow Dash managed to recover, promptly trying to fly away in time. But she wasn't fast enough as usual, the flames bursting through the walls and approaching her at aggressive speeds. However, just as it looked like she would be engulfed, Charizard would suddenly get in the way, holding onto Rainbow Dash and shielding her. "W-Wait! Charizard, what are you-?!"
"Charrr...Zard!" He shouted. Protecting the pony at his own cost, Charizard would be consumed in the inferno, his body catching ablaze and the flames reaching high. Even with his resistent to Fire, the heat and pain was intense, his roar echoing throughout the room.
"CH-CHARIZARD!!" Misty Fly yelled.
Rainbow's eyes were wide, and a tear was rolling down her face, her hands covering her mouth in horror and shock, seeing her dear companion sacrifice himself for her. The attack ended, the fire dispersing, revealing a burned and beaten charizard, his scales covered in ash, his tail flame was low. A sad smile would be on his face. "...char." He was happy to have protected her, though. Happy to keep her safe.
"CAST!" Casform would roar in a demonic fashion. As the flames continued to burn through everything, they were starting to reach the Hall of Nova Legends were Spitfire and the others were. The flames burst in, burning everything, setting the place aflame and causing a huge ruckus. It didn't take long for the pegasi and the unicorns to notice.
The unicorns would promptly use their magic to shield themselves and their Pokemon from the inferno, while the Pokemon of the Wonderbolts would get in front of them to protect their trainers. Everyone was confused at what was going on and who the culprit was, until a giant, monster of a Pokémon appeared, looming over them, a twisted and warped form that was once Castform, transformed into a horrific monstrosity by the malicious entity that was Grogar.
"CASTFORM!!" the creature roared.
Grogar was standing next to him, his gaze fixed on the group, a cruel smile on his lips. "I-Is that...Castform?!" Spitfire gasped.
"Professor!" The students soon noticed how Grogar had a new look. Or rather, his true look.
"You all have been giving me enough trouble and now I will make you pay for this." He said to the Wonderbolts. "This will set an example to you all. But I won't be the one to do so...your Pokemon will!"
"What do you mean-?!" Spitfire was cut off when she noticed that her Pokemon along with everyone elses', started to move and shake rapidly. Suddenly, Grogar would blast each of them with magic, striking them head on as the blast converged to enveloped each of them.
They had changed. Their forms had been transformed into monsters, just like Castform. "S-Sciz! Scizor...!" Scizor groaned in pain, his crimson exoskeleton has been replaced with deep-red metallic armor, appearing way tougher than ever. His pincers are now massive scythe-like blades, pulsating with a Grogar's magic.
"K-Koal!" Torkoal changed to become the embodiment of a volcanic inferno, transformed into a living mountain of molten rock. His shell had expanded into a glowing, cracked volcanic surface along with his size. Aggressive gouts of fire and ash were erupting from his shell like miniature volcanoes, and its legs are now thick, lava-coated columns that were already putting footprints in the ground.
Left and right, all the Wonderbolts had their Pokemon become Monsters of Grogars's own creation, just to cause chaos. Each of the pokemon have been given a new appearance and a new personality to match.
"Excellent!" Grogar walked forward, cackling at the Wonderbolts while all of his students ran to his side. Starting today, the Arcane Institute will make a complete turnaround. All those in our way will be crushed while those 10 counterparts are hunted and dealt with." The restored being explained. "Now. Crush them all."
Ponyville. The Pokemon House.
Elsewhere, away from Mount Evertop, Fluttershy and her Pokemon at the Pokemon House along with her animals were currently being moved to a safe zone by Fluttershy herself. The pegasushad to gather everyone and get to a safe spot in the woods to avoid the conflict.
There, she would find a clearing, a perfect and quiet location to rest, surrounded by the tall trees of the forest. Assisting her was Twilight Sparkle along with Pinkie Pie, the duo chiming in.
"Okay, girls and boys." The yellow mare called. "This will be a good spot to stay at. You'll avoid colaterall damage if your homes end up crumbling down from the fighting." Her friends, the animal creatures, had their home in danger. Due to the situation with the Battle against the Arcane Institute, there chances of intense damage will be done.
Their hiding location would be underneath the Pokemon House and that's where Twilight came in. Using her magic, she swould stand over a field of land, her horn glowing a vibrant shade of lavender. She used Rift Magic to create a hollow opening, a cave that burrows deep beneath the ground. Inside was a space that could accommodate a significant amount of creatures.
With the massive hole made by Twilight, it was more than enough to keep them all safe and sound. It would also fit the entirety of Fluttershy's large collection of Pokemon that lived at the Pokemon House.
"Alright. That's enough to keep all of them safe. I expanded it to make sure it coud hold thousands upon thousands. I've also made sure to put a magic veil over it. That'll give them extra protection."
"Alright, everyone. Hurry inside." Fluttershy requested to all of her Pokemon. "If something goes wrong, I know you'll all be strong enough to defend yourselves.
All of them let out their respective cries, responding to Fluttershy. A good chunk of them didn't wish to go in, wanting to help Fluttershy or just stay by her. But they knew Fluttershy would be happier if they were safe, so for her happiness, they would do just so. But as they were all strolling over to enter the hole, something happened.
"!" Twilight's heart would beat. Her pupils would dilate as a powerful sensation burst within her body." GH! GHHHH! GAGH!"
"Twilight?!" Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie gasped, turning their heads to face their friend. Twilight would keel over as she felt it. She felt her soul pulsating. Her vision went blurry. She could feel the presence of the others, her counterparts, all the different parts of the same whole. Her mind raced with thoughts and emotions, a rapid-fire showcase of memories that were not entirely her own.
"AAGH!" She would writhe on the floor as the Soul of Twilight Luminaria was being forced to awaken. By none other than Grogar. With his body restored, his amazing magic had not only returned but had also been elevated to new heights. Heights so great that he could interact with the Soul of his Queen from an entirely different location, from a far away distance. He could make the Soul of the Queen return, to come forth and awaken once more. "W-What is going on-?!"
"Esp! Espeon?!" Espeon ran to her partner's side, nuzzling and nudging her in an attempt to comfort her. The rest of the group was left in a state of confusion, not understanding the situation.
All the memories of Twilight Luminaria were flashing in her head, memories that she had not remembered in ages. Memories that were locked in the darkest and furthest corners of her mind were returning. Every detail was vivid and clear. All the adventures of the Lost Universe were coming back to her, from her first adventure to her confrontation and eventual battle with the man known as Prisma. Then, to the destruction and subsequent reformation of the world and its universes. It was a sign that Twilight Luminaria was trying to do more than just awaken. She wanted to fully return in her original body, but that was impossible with just one of her incarnations.
It was overwhelming. The flood of information was too much, causing her to collapse. Twilight would suddenly stand up, panting heavily, the sweat rolling down her brow. "T-Twilight..are- are you alright-?" Fluttershy asked.
"Twi? What happened-?!" So did Pinkie Pie.
Soon, the panting would stop as Twilight was able to stand up tall once more, the sweat vanishing. However, right now, Twilight Sparkle wasn't the one there. Sure, the body was present, but the one in control was a different story. As her eyes opened, the glow of Twilight Luminaria's magic would appear.
Right now, Twilight Luminaria had awakened and was in full control of Twilight Sparkle. Her gaze fell upon her fellow pony companions, who were looking at her with confusion and worry.
"Twilight...?"
"Grogar managed to do it." She said to herself, knowing who was behind this. "Marvelous. I never doubted his magic once." This caused Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, as well as the other Pokemon and even the Animals to turn their attention to the mare. "I can feel myself again, my memories, my magic. Everything is finally coming together and yet, I still don't have my original body."
"Wait...Are you...?" Pinkie Pie tilted her head.
"Yes. Your mind is correct on who I am. Twilight Luminaria. And my, I haven't seen your faces in a long time. Not since ou all fused into Harmony. But I have no time to reconcile on such things. Right now, I have important matters to attend to." Lumarina would turn away, ready to leave. "You must excuse me. Come, Espeon."
"Wait!" Fluttershy exclaimed. "You can't leave! That's our friend you're possessing!"
"Yeah! Gt out of her!" Pinkie Pie ranted.
"This vessel is needed to achieve a goal. Nothing more, nothing less." Twilight Luminaria responded to the yellow mare. She was cold and distant in her speech, which was expected of her. This wasn't the sweet and friendly Twilight Sparkle, this was a completely different person. "I don't need to listen to this. If you were wise, you would not follow me."
In a flash, she was gone, using teleportation to leave here. She would even bring Espeon with her, using the teleportation on the Sun Pokemon as well. Pinkie and Fluttershy could only watch as their friend was gone, leaving the two alone. Now that their friend had departed, a silence fell between the two, and they were left to consider their options.
Unilight Palace.
Twilight Luminaria was going to only one place. Unilight Palace. After all, it was her palace, even if it existed in a new universe. Right now in the palace, everyone from Ponyville and other parts of Equestria or even from other regions were gathered, ready to handle the Arcane Institute. Among them were Mayor Mare and most of her Ponyville citizens. Zero was here as well, working on the science in this place as always as Harmony and Brock could be seen together. Harmony was still clinging onto him.
Suddenly, startling some of them was the sudden appearance of Twilight, who teleported into the room they were in. "Oh, Twilight? Are you ready to leave?" Mayor Mare asked.
"I am. But not before I do a few things." Twilight Luminaria walked foward. "Right now, I'm not your Twilight. I've awakend at last and will have a much longer duration than before."
"Uh...Wha?" Roseluck blinked, confused by those words. A lot of them were, not sure of her sudden change.
"Is Ash Ketchum here? Are any of the counterparts of Prisma in the palace?" Twilight Luminaria asked, wanting to see them at once.
"Ash and the others left. They went to take on the Institute and find the last two counterparts. I think they were Victor and Elio? That was their name?" Amethyst Star answered. "Why? What's up?"
"That voice..." Harmony would walk away from Brock, looking directly at Twilight. She recognized that voice from anywhere. "It can't be..."
"Harmony, it has been quite sometime." The Alicorn of Unilight smiled, seeing a familiar face.
"Your Majesty!" Harmony bellowed. Instantly, the alicorn flew to her queen, landing on her front hooves to salute her, her horn glowing. Everyone else was left in a stunned shock. "Y-You're here-?!"
"...Wait! Are you Twilight Luminaria?!" it clicked for some of them as Thunderlane was the first to put it together. After screaming that name, all of them looked at Twilight Sparkle in a new light.
"You're back!" Harmony would gallop towards her Queen, and by extension, her friend. Even if Luminaria neevr admitted that. "You'r really back! Oh, how fortunate this all is! How is that you've returned-?!"
"Calm down, calm down. There's no need to fret or get too excited." Twilight Luminaria waved off her excitement, telling her to relax and not to act so overly excited, as usual. "This body is not mine, as you can tell. This is simply the vessel to allow my conscious to surface and use what power I have regained." The Alicorn of Unilight explained to her allies, her trusted subjects. "I'm here to finish my goal. Now that I've been restored, I can properly stop Prisma, just like I did in our previous encounter."
"Oh..." Harmony already knew what that meant. While they all had the same goal in mind, how they went about it was different. And Harmony knew very well the type of approach Twilight Luminaria would take when it comes to dealing with the counterparts. "I...Well..."
"You don't have to act surpried and worried...After all, I've heard everything. Even though I was asleep a majority of the time, everything Twilight Sparkle has heard and seen is shared through the bond of the soul, which connects the four of us. So I already know how you feel."
"You do?"
"Mm. You were hesitant, Harmony. The fact that you are all Five Elements manifested means that your loyalty is at its highest. But that came with its obvious drawback. Who would you be loyal to? Me or Twilight Sparkle? Technically, Twilight Sparkle is me, so you had to choose her. It would've been similar to siding with me, even though we had oppossing goals of stopping Prisma. It's the one flaw within the Element of Harmony. Not entirely your fault."
"Your Majesty..."
"But if you truly are loyal, then you know what needs to be done." Twilight Luminaria turned her attention to Mayor Mare and the others, specifically focusing on Zero. Zero already had his eyes narrowed, knowing what Twilight Luminaria would attempt.
"Well, you're right about that. I'm loyal to you, but to be honest...the original plan...I'm not sure I can go through with it anymore. Ash Ketchum...or even any of the other counterparts...I don't think I can bring harm to them. At least, not in the way you've requested." Harmony spoke honestly to her ruler.
"Hang on? Hurt them?!" Amethyst Star would speak up. "You mean...that's your mission?!"
"Yeah, what the heck?! You can't hurt Ash!" Berry Punch yelled at her, and her fellow ponies would bark at Twilight Luminaria.
"Hmph. All of you are far too concerned with his safety. But you fail to realize that there's no saving hm or any of them. Prisma is far too powerful for any of you to find an alternative. It's honourable and respectable that you've all come together to form a team, even using a name of an organization from my universe, but it's pointless. I'd recommend giving up on our current approaches. You can't stop Prisma in the way you want to. Even then, you lack the power to stop his return, let alone defeat him." The Queen of Unlight explained.
"Says you!" Roseluck objected. "You're only saying that because of how things turned out in your universe!"
"What did you say?" Luminaria narrowed her eyes, gazing at Roseluck. Other ponies would flinch and be startled by this glare, but not Roseluck.
"Well, this isn't your universe! This is ours! Things aren't gonna turn out like they did back there! If we believe we can save Ash while stopping Prisma, then we can and will make that happen!"
"Wishful thinking." Luminaria shook her head, dismissing her claim and belief. "You don't know a single thing of the threat of Prisma or what he has caused or can cause. None of you are prepared to handle the likes of him, no matter what world it is. And since you're getting in the way of that, I suppose I have no busines teaming up with you. A shame. You would've achieved your goal much easily."
"Please, Your Mjaesty. At least try their approach of stopping Prisma." Harmony tried to suggest. "We're all in the same boat, here. We can work together. Just once. Even if for a little while, try their approach."
"I refuse." But she would reject that proposal. "If you wish to stick by their side, that's fine. But I won't. Not when lives are at stake. You can join me, or stay behind."
Harmony was faced with a choice, a choice that she could've made in a second, yet hesitated on making. "M-My Queen...you're right. I'm not exactly in the right to decide. In that case..." Her hesitation vanished. "But I can't let you harm and destroy them. I just can't." That caused everyone to stare at the alicorn. She would abandon her loalty to the Alicorn of Unlight in order to support the idea that she believed was right.
"Hmph. So you're defying me? All that loyalty and you choose to go for somepony who's an incarnation of myself? Fine. I'll have to do this alone, as usual." Twilight Sparkle's body began to float in the air, the wings sprouting from her sides. With that, she was off. "Don't bother trying to catch up with me or help. Do so, and I will deal with you by force."
"Please, Your Majesty!" Harmony would ascend as well, already prepared ot pursue Twilight Luminaria.
"In fact...none of you are leaving here. I'll make sure of it. Pixies!" Twilight Luminaria bellowed, calling upon the Pixies. Those same 6 tiny sprites of Fairy Magic that represented the Elements of Harmony would hear the Queeen call for her. They've been inactive for a while, simply romaing around the palace, but now they could finally take action, listening to their Queen.
"That voice...It's Her Majesty!" The Main Pixie, fittingly named Pixie, who represented the Element of Magic would fly over to where she was. "Finally!" she would command, being the unofficial leader of the group, the others following after her.
Pixie was the first one to appear, floating over the head of the Alicorn. Following behind her was the rest of the Pixies. Kindess, Loyalty, Honesty, Generosity and Laughter floated over to her, answering their Queen's call.
"It's been a long time, pixies. But that won't matter." Luminaria spoke. "Now, listen. Don't let a single pony or person out of here. Keep them contained, no matter what." She ordered. "As for you, Harmony. I'm sorry, but I'll have to ask you to stay behind, no matter what."
"With pleasure." Pixie would nod, speaking on their behalf. The Six Pixie sisters would flutter their tiny, hard-to-see wings, prepared to keep anyone from pursuing her.
"I'll be back to the palace. But only if I need something important here. I have a lot of work to do." Twilight Luminaria was already gone, teleporting away to carry out of her goal.
"Your Majesty! Twilight!" Harmony cried out before looking at the Pixies. "Pixie! Everyone! We're friends, aren't we?!"
"We are. But you've objected against Her Majesty, Harmony." Loyalty would speak. "How dissappointing. And here I thought you were more loyal than me."
"We can't let you or any of your allies leave the palace. For their sake, and yours, don't fight. We don't wanna have to resort to violence." Honesty stated. "Try anything and we'll use absolute force."
With the Pixies standing before them, Twilight Luminaria awakening and taking action, Grogar gaining a physical body at last and Alpha unleashing the power of Sombra, those that wish to destroy everything about Prisma were starting to gain the upper hand. Whether it be power increases or awakenings, their drive to achieve their goal was growing. And those that wished to stop Prisma but protect the others were face-to-face with truly powerful forces as the journey continues.
