My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Return of Unilight
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Near Ponyville. Unilight Palace. Nightfall.
Azurelia had arrived.
After Harmony requested some assistance, it came in the form of Azurelia. With her impressive magic, she broke through the magic, entering the palace to help everyone else against the pixies. Not only that, but Azurelia decided to be the 6th Element of Harmony, using her stupendous magic to assist Harmony in breaking the spell around Unilight Palace.
Harmony flew in the air and started to shine bright, her magic surrounding her and shooting towards the hybrid princess. She was infused with her magic, and was preparing for something. Honesty was aware of what she was doing.
"But that's impossible!" Honesty exclaimed. "She can't do that! She needs all six Elements to break the spell! She can't possibly be a substitute for that!" However, Honesty was underestimating Azurelia's magic, which was far greater than Harmony's own, or that of the Pixies. It was so great that it could be considered the 6th Element, making it possible for them to break the spell.
Azurelia was surrounded by a magical aura as Harmony's power flowed through her. She closed her eyes, concentrating on the task at hand, as her body began to glow with a bright light. Then, with a sudden burst of energy, the two unleashed a powerful surge of magic that shattered the spell around the palace, freeing the trapped group. At the same time, Honesty was blown back by the magical outburst.
The other Pixies were shocked, realizing that Honesty was losing the battle and was on the verge of being defeated. They had to act quickly and defend themselves, but by the time they had realized the danger, it was already too late. Azurelia had arrived on the scene and joined forces with the others.
They watched as Harmony was flung across the area, crashing into a wall. Magic and the other Pixies turned to see Azurelia, standing before them all. The others would do the same, gazing upon this hybrid. By pure instinct, Mayor Mare and the rest instantly thought this was Princess Celestia herself, but upon further inspection, they realized it wasn't.
"Who are you?!" Kindness cried out, backing away in shock and confusion.
"Are you another counterpart of Celestia?!" Roseluck questioned, not expecting someone like her to appear.
"Nope. You'll know after we get out of here. Which is now. The spell's broken, so you're all free to leave." Azurelia revealed that the spell was broken. As the group looked around the room, they noticed that their energy was no longer being drained, and the powerful force that had been keeping them trapped was gone. "Time to go~"
Harmony got up and stood beside Azurelia, nodding in agreement. The group, filled with newfound energy, gathered their strength and followed the duo. With a sudden burst of speed, Azurelia led the way, her wings carrying her through the air with incredible agility. The rest of the group followed closely behind, dodging the attacks that the Pixies sent their way as they made their escape.
"Don't let them leave!" Magic shouted.
As they fled through the palace, Azurelia's speed and agility were put to the ultimate test. She had to weave and dodge the attacks that were being sent their way from the other Pixies, all while ensuring that the rest of the group was able to keep pace with her. She was also able to cast some spells of her own, creating barriers and shields to protect the group from harm.
Azurelia would slow down, allowing everyone else to pass by her as she confronted the Pixies. Using her magic, she was able to stop them from advancing towards the others, allowing them to escape. She used her magic to create a powerful spiral of light that blocked their path, forcing the Pixies to retreat and find a new way around.
Once the coast was clear, Azurelia quickly rejoined the rest of the group and helped to lead the charge to the exit. With their combined efforts, they were eventually able to escape the palace and return to safety, blasting through the walls. Harmony paved the way for them by blowing the walls apart, destroying a good chunk of the castle as they escaped.
But they weren't out of the clear yet. Now that they were out of the palace, they had to try and stop the Pixies from interferring. Brock, Zero and Mayor Mare chose to stay behind and deal with the Pixies, allowing everyone else to go along their merry way. Despite the dangers that were ahead of them, the group was determined to continue their journey and to stop the Arcane Institute. They had no idea what was in store for them next, but they knew that together, they would face any challenge that came their way. And that's exactly what they did.
Mount Evertop.
At Mount Evertop, the entire mountain had been destroyed. All thanks to the Monstrified Pokemon of the Wonderbolts. After Grogar's revival, he turned their own Pokemon into monsters. From Castform becoming a terrifying Weather Beast, to Scizor and Torkoal ending up as more aggressive variations of themselves.
As such, the mountain was falling apart. The Pokemon outside ran for their lives, seeing the mountain break apart as massive chunks of rock would descend, threatening to crush them. Some of the more larger Pokemon would defend them, crushing the rocks.
"Agh!" Spitfire cried out as she was knocked aside by the shockwaves of this out-of-control battle. The Captain of the Wonderbolts tumbled on the ground, almost sliding off the mountain. The other Wonderbolts would also tumble to the sides, trying to avoid the destruction.
"Ngh..." Each of them had their suits bruised and torn apart because of this conflict. It didn't help that Grogar was getting involved as well. All of the Wonderbolts were seen lying down, suits torn and wings injured. Grogar looked down on all of them, having their own Pokemon beside him, now nothing but Monstrifications.
"I would say this is pathetic, but it's not your fault I'm superior in many ways." Grogar commented. "Now, I have important business to attend to. Such as reuniting with Her Majesty. Charizard. If you would?"
Even Misty Fly's Charizard underwent a monstrous transformation. And out of all of them, it was by far the largest and most terrifying. From the mountain itself, Charizard was starting to emerge as fiery cracks formed around the area.
Its head would start to emerge from the top, revealing a draconic-looking beast with glowing, yellow eyes. Its roar was enough to send a chill through the spines of the Wonderbolts. As the rest of its body emerged from the mountain, it was a menacing, deep-red creature with a muscular physique and an impressive wingspan. Its claws were sharp and deadly, and its teeth were bared, ready to strike at its enemies.
"W-What did you turn him into?!"Misty Fly yelled, slowly getting up, only to get kicked back down to the ground by the ram. "Gah!"
"Doesn't matter. It's still the same Pokemon, but much more powerful. Stronger, bigger, faster and deadlier." Grogar grinned. "This is the result of my magic. I was always an expert at making monsters and it seems that the main version of myself was in the same boat. Combined, the creation process is much quicker and much easier. Now Charizard...lay waste to this area!"
"CHAR...!" Charizard held his breath in, preparing a Fire Blast attack. But not an ordinary one. Much, much stronger and deadlier. The flames would be a pure red instead of the usual red and orange colours. It would unleash a fire blast that would engulf the entire battlefield in a sea of flames. The intense heat was so strong that it would cause the earth to crack and the very air to burn. Any living creature caught in the crossfire would surely suffer severe burns or worse.
As the Fire Blast began to destroy everything, with all of her might, Spitfire would take out a Poke Ball, holding it out. As she squinted her eyes, the outburst of the flames eclipsed the rest of the mountain, masking the Wonderbolts in its colour. Even from a distance, this destruction could be seen. The wild Pokemon would flee in terror, as the skies were filled with the dark smoke of the inferno. This was the true destructive power of a Monstrified Pokemon.
After the destruction, everything about Mount Evertop was gone, even the Hall of Nova Legends. And once the smoke cleared, there was no sign of the Wonderbolts. They were nowhere to be found.
Afterwards, Grogar would be on his way. He would get on top of Charizard's head, who would fly off to the skies. With that, he was going to meet his queen, wherever she was. Each of the monsters would follow him, heading on their way.
All fell silent in what was left of Mount Evertop. Everything there had been laid to waste. However, the Wonderbolts, while seemingly out of sight, were still around. As the rest of the smoke cleared, it was revealed that Spitfire had summoned her Froslass at the last moment, saving them from total annihilation. While the Wonderbolts were in a terrible state, the Ghost/Ice-Type managed to protect them, preventing them from dying. Unfortunately, she wasn't so lucky.
Froslass was barely hanging on by a thread. She had sustained serious injuries and her body was badly damaged and burned. "Fros..." She used all of her ice to save them all from Charizard's flames, wasting every ounce of her energy. Due to this, her body became incredibly brittle.
"T-Thank you, Froslass..." Spitfire thanked her, too weak to move at the moment. "Return..." To let Froslass rest, she brought her back into her Poke Ball. Spitfire then took deep breaths, laying there wih a stunned body. So did everyone else. It would take some time before they could move again as some of them had passed out. For a few moments, the world faded to black for the captain of the Wonderbolts. But not long after, she would wake up and realize that she and the others were no longer on the mountain, but somewhere else entirely.
Magehold.
But for others, they have already passed out. That being the vampires of Magehold. The Arcane Institute had defeated them, leaving them all in downed states. Dimstar groaned while on the ground, unable to move at all. She could hear the voices of someone approaching, but her vision was blurred and she could not see clearly.
However, she had nothing to fear. Standing over her were not enemies, but allies. Suddenly, a soothing healing magic would wash over her, eradicating the pain she felt while also refreshing her stamina. "Ugh..." Dimstar opened her eyes, seeing the pony standing in front of her. It was Prince Shooting Star of Pegalysium. "...Shooting Star?"
"Are you alright?" Shining asked. Before her, was a huge group of pegasi, troops of Pegalysium. Shooting Star would heal the rest of the vampires while also being assisted by the Unown.
"Ooh...my head..." Eccentrick mumbled. "Where are we? What's going on?"
"Thank goodness. My dad asked me to come down here. Things apparently went bad here, and boy was he right." Shooting Star looked at the ruined buildings, realizing that the damage had to have been from a large-scale conflict.
"The Arcane Institute...one of their Soul Clones unleashed something I've never seen before." Dimstar uttered while getting back up. "She managed to take full control over the darkness itself. Even making our magic irrelevant."
"To think they could create someone like that..." Fractured Note shook his head. He and the others would get to their feet, having fully recovered. "
"Curses!" Angered, Dimstar smashed her hoof into the ground. "We shouldn't have lost that...!"
"At least we stalled for time." One vampire looked on the bright side. "Plus, only a few of their ships work now."
"Princess Celestia's trap somewhat worked. But that's not the rest of it, right?" Shooting Star asked the vampires.
"Not at all. There's more to it. We just managed to pull off the first part, but weren't expecting that Soul Clone to use the Darkness against us." Fractured Note admitted. "It will take some time for us to get ourselves ready for the next encounter, I'm afraid. We can't risk another battle his soon."
Dimstar sighed, shaking her head. "Fine..." She was the most irritated by this, especially with how ruined Magehold was. But there was little to do. They had to plan for their next form of action. The Arcane Institute were on the move once more, so every second counts.
East of Equestria, Twilight Luminaria, who was in possession of Twilight Sparkle's body, soared through the air, searching for a certain someone, waiting for him. That being Professor Grogar, who was about to reunite with her. The two would meet up in a marsh area, filled with a plethora of Mushrooms. Once the Queen of the Lost Universe, and the professor would arrive, they would greet each other. Charizard descended, allowing the Professor to meet face-to-face with Twilight Luminaria.
"Your Majesty." He bowed in respect to the Queen of Unilight.
"It has been a while." Twilight Luminaria remarked, looking at him. "You look relatively the same, albeit a little different."
"Glad to finally have met you. My spell did the trick it seems. Although, I couldn't bring your original body back. I could only awaken your soul."
"It's fine. Once all four of us are together, I will have my original body once more. The backup spell I gave you worked wonders, ensuring that you would be able to awaken my soul. I was right in fearing the slight possibility that Prisma would live on somehow." Twilight Luminaria added.
"Yes. And during that time, I came up with the Arcane Institute, creating a school entirely dedicated to stopping the return of Prisma, no matter the cost." Professor Grogar continued. "I had to find a way to stop him, or at least his reincarnations, and the only logical method was to gather the most powerful unicorns across worlds to prepare. In case he ever returned." He paused, glancing at the Monstrified Pokemon. "The best option was to have unicorns in order to have the greatest chance of success when facing a threat like Prisma. I was unable to gather alicorns. So, in order to prevent his return, the Arcane Institute was established."
"So far, you've done a good job. They've certainly been giving Twilight Sparkle and her friends some trouble. However, you and I both know that those who wish to protect Ash Ketchum are capable of a comeback. They've proven it over and over again. Therefore, if we are to hope to reach our final phase, outpacing them is key."
"My Arcane Institute won't be enough?"
"It will help. But I doubt all of your students will grant us victory. We need more than that, which is why already have something in mind." The Queen of Unilight turned around, gazing upon the marshland. "We need everything that we once had in our universe. So far, a few things have revived. From my Palace, my Pixies and even recently, Harmony. Though the latter has betrayed me in favour of protecting Twilight Sparkle and her allies."
"Harmony is a traitor?" A student from the Arcane Institute approached from behind, alongside her sisters. The BlueLight Sisters. "How intriguing. And somewhat worrying."
"But it's no matter. We are still missing a lot. Such as the entire city. I'm aware that one of the areas from Unilight is past a gateway, meaning that parts of our lost universe are either still waiting to return or are behind scattered gateways." The Queen continued. "But, we won't have to wait for anything else to return. Instead, we bring the rest back to existence."
"Ah. You want to pull off the Reverie of Revival Spell." Professor Grogar concluded. "A bold strategy, Your Majesty. You've never had the need to use that spell in your life. Ever."
"Now. I have a reason to. My entire being is attuned with what once was. I can already tell that there are places in Unilight lurking somewhere, but they are not yet in existence. But I can return them. I can pull the spell off. But I will need you to do the same, Professor Grogar. Together, we'll bring back as much as we can."
"With pleasure." He agreed.
And they weren't going to wait. Instead, they would pull it off here and now.
With that, the two of them prepared themselves to execute a major spell. As the two would channel their energy into casting the Reverie of Revival Spell, their magical auras would surge and swirl in unison, enveloping the surrounding area in a brilliant display of power. The earth would tremble and the sky would darken, indicating the immense magnitude of the impending magic.
"From the void where time forgets,
Reforge the threads where fate missteps.
Unveil the secrets, untold tales, Bring forth the glory that prevails."
Professor Grogar's voice would resonate, evoking ancient energies, summoning the essence of lost memories and buried powers. With each syllable, the air crackled with anticipation, the very fabric of reality responding to his call.
Twilight Luminaria's incantation would complement and amplify the professor's words, crafting and placing harmonious notes that echoed through the cosmos, drawing the attention of the arcane forces that were slumbering within reality.
Her spell would bridge the gap between dimensions, seeking to mend the fractures in the cosmic tapestry and restore the equilibrium of the universes. Both the queen's and the professor's chants would blend seamlessly, forming a symphony of arcane resonance that would transcend the boundaries of space and time. Their voices would intertwine perfectly with no fail, whatsoever. As the chant neared its climax, the marshland would shake, along with other locations.
From Manehattan to the Crystal Empire, the land would tremble and quake, trees would sway, and the very foundation of the earth would feel the weight of the spell's power. The sky would darken, the clouds churning and swirling, reflecting the intensity of the magical energies at play.
Bolts of lightning would dance in the heavens, illuminating the landscape with their electric glow, and thunderclaps would rumble, carrying the echoes of the incantation to distant realms. Pokemon, animals and other Creatures of the wild would sense the disturbance in the air, their instincts urging them to flee from the epicenter of the magical storm.
Flying-Types and Birds would take flight in panicked flocks, and animals would scatter, their senses overwhelmed by the sheer force of the enchantment being cast. The water would ripple and churn, its surface mirroring the ethereal light emanating from the center of the ritual. Waves would crash against the shores, stirred by the invisible currents of the spell's potency, and the reflections of the celestial phenomena would aggressively show.
And from the ground itself, across many locations, something was rising. Buildings upon buildings started manifesting into existence. Entire cities were appearing in various spots. Castles, Lesser Palaces, a gigantic Colosseum, a Pyramid, even a giant Tower. More and more would continue to arise, spreading and growing in size. Not only were the structures returning, but also the people. Ponies would emerge from the portals that were opening, finding themselves in a new and unfamiliar environment. Some would be confused, some frightened, and others curious. Among these ponies were the subjects of the Unilight Supernation.
And then, there were the beasts. Monsters and the likes of which the inhabitants of this world had not seen before. Some looked to be a cross between a Pokemon and a Dragon. Others resembled the appearance of a Chimera, except not at all. Whatever they were, they would rise and stand behind Twilight Luminaria, loyal to her.
"AAAGH!" However, this also applied to everyone else. The spell wasn't just bringing back locations and others that once lived there. It was also affecting those that were reincarnations of Unilight's citizens.
Which meant that a disgusting amount of people, ponies, Pokemon and other creatures across Kanto, Equestria, Johto, and so on were feeling the magic, crying out in pain. This was a result of the powerful spell and their connection to the Lost Universe. As the spell was being completed, it was targeting their souls, causing many of them to keel over in agony. Even the Team One Light members were suffering from the spell.
While it wasn't all of them, a good majority of them were once from the Lost Universe, having their own incarnations. Thus, the souls that were resting within them were starting to awaken.
Twilight Luminaria looked at the city she managed to restore as it stood in the distance. "The City of the Night Sky. The third grandest of its kind." She smiled. "It's good to be back. Now, hurry. We have a lot of work to do. And I expect my subjects to also appear."
With various areas returning along with the awakening of many dormant souls, Twilight Luminaria was essentialy declaring her return upon the entire planet itself. A declaration that she would finish her goal and bring an end to Prisma, once and for all. No matter what it takes.
