The Dream Realm.

Nightmare Moon had a plan. If everyone wakes up now in their current predicament, they would surely be swarmed and overwhelmed by the forces of Unilight. So to combat this while staying asleep, Nightmare Moon offered them the chance to use their Nightmares as weapons.

"But first, let us spread out to the world! I shall expand this realm to other parts of the world! For those who are asleep are our allies!" Soon, the Dream Realm expanded, reaching out to every sleeping soul on Earth. Nightmare Moon was expanding her power to make sure everyone else was brought into the dream realm. All those who were sleeping were to become allies. "Now! All of you! Think about your greatest nightmares! All of them!"

Everyone did as they were told and started to imagine the worst thing they could possibly think of. Some were imagining monsters. Others, a scary place or situation. Some even imagined scary creatures and scary events.

Soon, the Dream Realm would be filled with the worst nightmares that could be imagined by the group. Everything they thought of would appear in the Dream Realm, creating a terrifying world that could only exist in dreams.

"Let us bring these nightmares into reality, my friends. Now! I shall cast this spell! And when I do, your dreams and nightmares shall come to life! You will all have the ability to create your very own Tantabus!" Nightmare Moon announced, as the moon was shining brighter, her horn glowing. "Now...! Come forth, our Tantabus!"

And with that, Nightmare Moon's horn fired a massive magical beam at the moon, which caused it to shine a lot more. As a result, the moon began to shine a lot more. The Dream Realm would begin to shine a lot more, and then, a giant monster would appear in the sky, a giant black horse-like monster that would come to life, the very creature Nightmare Moon used to try and end all of their hopes and dreams and force them all to be asleep forever, the very monster that was defeated with the Power of Friendship.

It was none other than The Tantabus, a being that would appear in the Dream Realm and end all of their dreams. Nightmare Moon was summoning it to aid them. And soon, more would follow. All across the Dream Realm, hundreds, thousands of giant monster-like creatures appeared, each one being the representation of the nightmares that each one of the ponies, pokemon and people of One Light thought of in their minds, including the Tantabus. All of these creatures were appearing all over the dream realm and would fly up.

Everyone's Tantabus was unique. Some were shared but most were independent. They all had their own shapes and forms, their own abilities and strengths and all of them were ready to fight for One Light.

Their worst nightmares had been made manifest, but this time, they would be tormenting them. This time, they would be tormenting their enemies instead. The nightmares would now become the reality, a reality that the Arcane Institute was to face.

"It's up to you now, One Light! Make your dreams a reality! Defeat Unilight! The time has finally come! Make all of their nightmares, become reality!"

Unilight.

"Mmmn..." Despite what was happening in the Dream Realm, they were all still asleep. But that was intentional. Nightmare Moon made sure that they would stay asleep since they were still outnumbered and in enemy territory. They had to wait for the right moment to finally take action.

At the same time, the other Unilight Reisdents had finally arrived in the city itself, coming far and wide. Humans, ponies, dragons, griffons and other species appeared in Unilight's capital.

This was all happening while the others slept.

Twilight Luminaria looked down at all of her subjects, a pleased look on her face. She was very proud to have so many allies by her side, and now they were all going to work together to ensure the absolute defeat of the one who destroyed everything, and bring back the universe she called home, even if that meant eliminating her and her friends' counterparts.

She would fly up to the sky, a large crowd forming in the city, as many as the ones she lost, having heard of the call and now all coming to her side, eager to put an end to the one responsible for everything, and bring back their homes and families. She would look at all of the subjects and give them all a proud look, as they would do the same.

"My fellow Unilight subjects...welcome home." She would say. "It has been a while, but it's great to see all of you." She greeted, happy to be surrounded by familiar faces. She had been waiting for a chance like this, where her people were finally reunited and the mission to save the lost universe could begin. After so long of being apart and separated from each other, they could all finally come together to put a stop to the destruction of their homes. Now, they had the opportunity to finally do something. They would all make the Lost Universe proud.

"I hope all of you have been doing well, and you are all prepared for what is to come. We are all going to be facing an extremely dangerous mission that could either save our world, or destroy it completely. This mission is very risky, so it will take all of us working together, with me, to complete it." Twilight told them. She wanted to ensure that they were all ready for what was to come. They would need every last one of them to ensure the mission was successful.

"The goal of this mission is to find the remaining three counterparts of myself, and the 10 counterparts of Ash Ketchum. Right now, I've managed to revive various locations from our glorious nation, but there is still a lot missing and the people here aren't our actual friends. They are all simply just the same as them. They aren't the same people we all know and love." Twilight informed them, a look of sadness on her face. "We will need to work together, to bring the universe we know and love, the world we live and thrived, and all the people we love back from the darkness, and to put a stop to Prisma and those who support him."

The subjects would all bow in unison as they knew what they needed to do. They would do whatever it took to bring the universe back and defeat the ones responsible for the loss of their homes.

Twilight Luminaria gave them all a pleased look, knowing they were ready. They knew they were going to need all of their combined strength and courage in order to make this mission successful. The fate of their homes, and their people rested in the hands of this group of individuals.

"Now, I've agreed to have them undergo the Star Trials. If they wish to succeed in their objective, they'll challenge our trials. But they won't win. They can't." She said with confidence, knowing they wouldn't have what it takes to beat them all. They would be defeated, and that would be it.

"Is that wise, Your Majesty? What if they somehow know about how the Star Trials work?" One griffon asked from below.

"They won't. We know every detail since we have all awakened. Those who have not or had no hidden soul within them will never know of what awaits. Our knowledge and experience will overwhelm theirs. They're going to have to think on their feet, but even if they do, we will still have the advantage. This will be a fight unlike any they have faced before. Now, let's not waste anymore time, let's get ready for their arrival and then we'll begin the Star Trials. But before that, I want you all to feel comfortable. Remember what life was like for you in Unilight. Be yourselves."

Twilight Luminaria still wanted her subjects to be happy. Since they've been asleep for so long, it was finally time for them to relive in Unilight as they did in their previous existence. The subjects all nodded, knowing they were ready, before taking to the sky once more. Some would remain on the ground as Twilight would go down to join them. It was a great reunion for the group, and she was happy that everyone was finally back together again.

Twilight Luminaria smiled as she watched the citizens enjoy the reunion. The streets of Unilight were once again full of life, the city coming back to life.

Now all that remained was to prepare the Star Trials for the others, who would soon awaken from their slumber. They were not ready, not by any stretch. But Twilight would be sure that she and the others were.

Everyone would start buying clothing that he used to wear or something similar to the clothes that the counterparts used to wear. Twilight and the others would also buy new clothes for them to try on. The clothes were a little strange at first, but they quickly got used to them, and it wasn't too long before everyone was back to their old selves, at least appearance wise.

Twilight would fly into a nearby store and bought herself some clothes, looking through all the clothes she could buy and found herself in front of the mirror, trying on clothes and seeing how she would look in them. She decided to get some new clothes, ones that were more like the clothes she wore when she was in her own world. When she was once Queen. Well, specifically during special events and gatherings.

After a while, she decided to buy an entire wardrobe of new clothes, spending quite a bit of time trying them on, before leaving the store to look for the rest of her group. Twilight would eventually go to another store and buy some clothes, ones that were a little different, but still looked nice on her. It was then she bought a blue and white dress, the one that Twilight wore in the original world.

As she looked at herself in the mirror, she could see that the dress looked good on her. It was very elegant and it brought back memories of when she used to live in that world.

As she looked at herself in the mirror again, she saw her own face staring back at her, the face she had before everything was changed. It was a reminder of what she once had and who she was, before everything went wrong. But now, she was determined to fix all of that, and the only way she could do that was to find a way back to her original world. To restore her life, her world, and her family.

She looked in the mirror again, and this time, she was able to smile. She believed that everything was going to be okay.

She would not have to pay due to her status, obviously.

It didn't take too long for everyone to get dressed, as the day was still young, the sun was still in the sky, and they had much more time left to get ready.

The citizens abandoned whatever accessories or clothing their reincarnations had, wearing these incredibly complex and beautiful clothes that truly spoke to the type of place Unilight was.

Other parts of Unilight's lifestyle would return once they settled into their roles, such as parties and balls, or other activities.

They had already done their best to make the city of Unilight look as good as new and to recreate it to the best of their ability, and it was starting to look more and more like the place that they had called home. They were also able to recreate many of the same shops and restaurants, making sure that everything was as accurate as possible.

All the while, Twilight Moonlight was moving through the streets, watching this all develop, seeing her subjects do everything in their power to revive their glorious nation. It was so beautiful to her. So many were hard at work, but also were enjoying the return of their home and all the joy and happiness it brought to the table. They all had smiles on their faces as they continued to work.

"Oh. That face..." One resident looked at Twilight Moonlight as he walked past.

Twilight looked at him. "What is it?" She asked.

"Could you be...One of the counter-" But his words were cut off once Twilight Moonlight zapped him with a sleeping spell, falling onto the floor.

She would quickly use her magic to pick him up and take him into an alley, where she placed him up against the wall, his body limp, but not harmed.

Twilight would take a step back, and look at him, her eyes wide.

"You're a Counterpart!" Another voice called out. "You're one of the counter-" She would soon shut her up as well with the same spell, causing her to fall asleep on the food cart she owned, spilling all of her food all over the floor.

After dealing with them both, Twilight Moonlight realized that just walking around like this wouldn't work as much as she wanted to. She wouldn't be able to reach Twilight Luminaria without her knowing like this. So, much like the Former King and Queen, she would have to don a disguise, a different appearance to hide from everyone else, but one that wouldn't be too noticeable.

After a little while of looking, she would eventually come upon an outfit and quickly took to putting it on, discarding her other outfit as she put it on. She would also use a spell to disguise her Cutie Mark, giving it a simple mark that looked more like an abstract swirl of color, much like her mane. She also slightly changed up her facial structure.

Now she was ready to go and find her target.

After she got dressed, she would look at herself in the mirror again. It had been so long since she had last seen her reflection, and it was a welcome sight to see. She would then grab a small handbag from the dresser, and would head out the door. As she walked through the city streets of Unilight, she would make her way towards the castle.

Alola. Akala Island.

As for those partaking in the Star Trials, the obvious competitors would be the counterparts themselves. But at the moment, they were currently still at Alola, utilizing their Legendary Souls. They have spent hours trying to be more proficient with them.

So far, Ash and the others were improving, though not to the point they wished. It was very clear they were making a little progress but there was still so much to learn.

"..." Red crossed his arms while staying silent, all the while, Brendan was flying around with glee as Nate continued to spread lightning, unable to resist himself. When Brendan or the lightning got too close, Red would raise a hand, using Mewtwo's Psychic abilities to hold them both in place.

"Oh!" Brendan gasped as Red did this. "Ah! Red!"

"It's weird though...You all learned fast. It took me at least 2 months to figure mine out." Calem uttered, wondering why they learned so quickly. For Lucas, it made sense since he had some time to work on his but for the others, it was strange.

"If I had to guess..." Bremdan raised a finger while being levitated. "It's because all of us around each other is causing a chain reaction that is amplifying our skills and making us stronger."

"You think so?" Ethan tilted his head.

"Yeah. Probably, the further we're away from each other, the less they're likely to develop." Brendan theorized. "So if I was to leave, you would not improve as fast. But because of how we're around each other, all of us are becoming stronger at once."

"Ooh..." Ethan, Nate and Lucas slowly nodded their heads.

"Wait, isn't that also pretty dangerous?" Hilbert asked. "Doesn't that mean it makes Prisma coming back way more likely if we're all this close to each other?"

"You're the one who suggested we stick together though." Brendan replied. "And yeah, it would be, but we're all perfectly fine right now, right? None of us is acting strange, or weird, or evil, or whatever. We're just normal, aren't we?" Brendan asked, pointing to all of them.

"Mmm..." The rest of them nodded.

"But as for our abilities, if we stick by each other like this, we can better use them to get out of tough spots. I say that to avoid Prisma from returning, we stay by each other and overcome tricky spots with these souls. We won't have to worry about him awakening within us if we deal with everything quickly."

"Good point." Elio agreed. "Plus...this is such a relief! I can finally cool down the heat!" With joy in his heart, Elio was no longer glowing and letting out a solar body heat.

"It's like we've found some sort of way around Prisma." Brendan continued.

"So, Ash. Will you be heading out soon?" As for Ash, he was speaking with Mallow, Lana, Kiawe and Sophocoles.

"Yeah. I've got a lot of work to do." He said, looking at Pikachu who gave him a nod. "I can't stay for too long. I gotta get moving and meet up with the others to see if they're okay. Everyone around the world's going through an awakening of their own, so we gotta get going." Ash told them. "Thanks for everything guys."

"You can count on us, Ash." Kiawe gave him a smile. "We're a part of One Light as well, after all."

"We'll all help you in this." Lana and Sophocoles both agreed.

"Just make sure you save the world again, okay?" Mallow smiled at Ash. "I know you will. You always do. You're our best friend, and we're here to help you."

Ash would feel his cheeks flush a little bit and would smile. "You guys..." His smile brightened up, feeling confident in their support. "I wish Lillie was here right now to see all of this. I hope she's doing okay out there. Her and her family..." Ash looked up at the sky, thinking about Lillie and how she was doing during all of this chaos. "Anyways. I should get going now. If you guys show up soon, that'd be awesome."

"Ready to head out?" Calem walked over to Ash. "Everyone else is on their way to meet up. We should get going ourselves." He added. Ash and Calem both gave their new friends a nod and began to head on out.

"Alright, see ya, Ash!" Mallow, Kiawe, Sophocles, and Lana all waved to Ash as he departed.

Meanwhile, Princess Celestia had returned to her world, appearing as her alicorn self once more. But she wasn't alone. She was joined by Sunset Shimmer and Sci-Twi. Sci-Twi in question was using the Shift Stone to maintain her human form. Now that they were here, Celestia could finally approach Unilight to engage in the Star Trials.

"Alright. Whatever happens next, I'm counting on you to pull it off." Celestia faced Sunset and Sci-Twi.

"We got you, Princess Celestia." Sci-Twi nodded.

"We're ready to do this." Sunset affirmed.

"I believe in the two of you." Celestia told them with confidence. "I don't what the trials will be, but do your best or who else will be participating in them, but do your best. I'll give you support from afar, since I'm probably not allowed to partake in these trials due to my status."

"But um...about that fusing part. Are you sure about that? Me and Sunset fuse?" Sci-Twi raised a brow.

"Positive." She smiled before walking off, the two of them following her along the way.

At last, they had arrived at Unilight City and immediately, all eyes were on them. The ones that defended Prisma himself. Celestia paid them no mind as she continued to walk on forward. They didn't have time to marvel and wonder at this massive city. Not with all those judgemental eyes on them. At the moment, they needed to focus on the task at hand. They didn't have time for any of that right now.

Twilight Luminaria looked down on them from the Library's rooftop, hearing all the gossip and chatter about them from her subjects. She knew they were the only ones capable of stopping Prisma, so if they had to participate, she had to allow it. "So...you actually made it." She spoke with an elevated voice."

She had expected them to arrive in this city eventually, but not so soon. It was inevitable that they would come here, and now that they were, Twilight would have to deal with them herself.

"We're here. For the competition you negotiated with us. Are you positive this will lead to you ceasing your attack on Ash and the others?"

Twilight's eyes narrowed, staring directly at the three, and she gave them a firm nod. "We'll see. I've come this far. We have an agreement."

Celestia's own expression was unflinching, but she nodded. "Alright then. I hope you're prepared. We will do everything to ensure that Ash and the others will survive this."

"You should be the one who's prepared. I have no doubts. Your faith in your comrades is strong, as is your conviction." Twilight's voice was level. "But I wonder...will it hold out in the end? The Star Trials will decide that for us."

"Is there anything else we must be made aware of before the Star Trial begins?" Celestia questioned.

"No. Everything you need to know is within you." She said. "Just be ready. You and your team will need it." Twilight said as she began to depart.

Celestia would advance forward, approaching the massive stadium up ahead were the trials would take place. Sci-Twi gulped, clutching onto her Arceus Pendant. Whatever happens next was all them. This would be her first interaction with all things Unilight and she was reasonably scared. But if she had her friend by her side, she believed she could get through it.

Hopefully.

As the journey continues.
