The Valley of Dead Magic

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Unilight. Unilight City.. Afternoon.

The entire planet was being turned around.

Thanks to Flurry Heart's World Pirouette spell, she was able to turn the entire planet. Truly, the stolen books of Empress Twilight came in handy yet again, used by a former member of her alliance.

"Curses...I'm not at my best right now...I can't stop a spell of this magnitude!" Twilight Luminaria thought to herself. If only she was her full self once more, she would have the power to stop this. She knew she could. But in her state, with a small fraction of her magic, and having to use it to attack the Dragon Matter as a backup plan, she couldn't stop it. And with her magic focused on trying to freeze this spell, she couldn't even stop Flurry Heart from casting it.

Her body was soon enveloped by the large light from the spell as everything was flipping. Across the land, the sea and the skies themselves would shift. Mountains were turning, valleys were rotating and the land was shifting.

Everything was shaking, and for a moment, it felt as though the world itself was about to end. The sky had grown dark, changing their positions entirely and the clouds were swirling with a mystical energy. The ground was trembling, and the trees were shaking as if they were about to be uprooted. The wind had picked up, and the air was filled with a deafening roar. It was as if the entire world was being torn apart, and the inhabitants were powerless to stop it.

In the end, the spell had succeeded.

The entire planet had been flipped. Of course, this was only temporary for this current conflict, as it would have to return to normal by the end of it. But with this spell, unlike before where it was used to change the course of a battle by scattering forces randomly, this time, it was more focused. Flurry Heart had an actual target in mind, requiring an insane amount of focus to pull it off.

The focus in question was none other than a place where magic could be limited.

A place known as the Valley of Dead Magic.

The entire city of Unilight, and the areas around it, had been flipped into an empty part of the Valley of Dead Magic. And in that moment, things would change. The Valley of Dead Magic is a barren area that's a desert, but is known for being the place where Magic doesn't work.

"Urgh..." Professor Grogar and all of Unilight's inhabitants groaned, recovering from the sudden flip. Anyone would disoriented by that, especially if it's the first time that they've ever experienced such a thing. Well, these awakened individuals anyways. Those that they were inhabiting certainly haven't.

But when recovering from it, Professor Grogar would look around, noticing his surroundings and how it was no longer the same as before. The city was still intact, but everything around it had changed drastically, making his eyes widened in realization.

"What...is this...?!" He asked.

"It...can't be..." Twilight Luminaria also recovered, only to realize that the world itself had shifted. But even she could feel it. The lack of magical power, and the fact that she couldn't use any of it at the moment. Her eyes widened, her pupils shrinking in the process. "No...not here...! This place...!"

This place...was the Valley of Dead Magic. And with it, Unilight has been flipped and transported here. "Curses...They brought us to a place where magic is lowered!" She grit her teeth. "No! This can't be!" She roared, stomping the ground in anger.

Indeed, she was right. Flurry Heart's spell was meant to flip a certain part of the world into the Valley of Dead Magic, where Magic is lowered. And with that, the city of Unilight was currently inside of the Valley of Dead Magic, where everyone's magic would be lowered, and those with weaker magical pools would be unable to use it. This was a massive risk, but it had to be done to prevent the Dragon Matter from causing any more damage.

And indeed, it worked. With the city inside of the valley, the Dragon Matter would arrive. It would crash into the ground, creating an immense shockwave that shook the earth beneath. It would roar loudly, echoing throughout the valley.

"!!" Twilight Luminaria's eyes widened as she saw the Dragon Matter. It had crashed down onto the earth and began to grow, spreading outwards with an immense force. She acted quickly, using her magic to try and dispel it, but her power was weakened due to the Valley of Dead Magic.

Even when weakened, she could still do a lot thanks to her own amazing magic. At the very least, she cold force the Dragon Matter elsewhere for the time being. The Dragon Matter howled as it was moved elsewhere, flowing in another direction as the city was saved from its wrath for now. With it gone, Twilight Luminaria would have to act fast, as she was still in danger from Spike and the others that he brought with him.

"Argh...that was a lot." The young Flurry Heart panted as she managed to pull that spell off. "That was harder than I expected..." She was pretty exhausted, seeing as she used up a large portion of her magical reserves.

"Good job, sweetie" Shining Armor walked over and pat her on the head, praising his daughter for such a massive display of magic. "I knew you had it in you."

"Thanks..." Flurry Heart smiled, panting softly. "I'm gonna...take a rest now." She then laid flat on her face, exhausted from pulling off something so grand.

Cadence and the Shining Armor would walk over to their daughter from another universe, helping her up. "Alright. Time to get to work. We've put them here for an advantage, so let's shut everything they have down. All of you, head out." Shining Armor ordered his Crystal Empire forces to move out and take down Unilight. Now that they had the advantage, they could finally stop this invasion and prevent any more damage from being done to their world. They all rushed towards the city, prepared to fight.

The Dragon Matter, meanwhile, was moving away from the city, roaring and growling as it did so. Twilight Luminaria took a deep breath after using that spell, feeling a large vaccuum of magic within her. She then looked down, gazing directly at Spike who was grinning.

"You...That was all a distraction! You weren't actually trying to change my mind!"

"Nah. I figured it wouldn't matter if I tried. I just had to keep you talking. But boy, I was pretty convincing, wasn't I?" Spike grinned, but was soon met with the massive hand of the Queen, who grabbed and lifted him up, staring at him with rage in her eyes.

"YOU! I'M GOING TO END YOU RIGHT NOW, YOU PESKY DRAGON!" She roared with anger, her body glowing a bright white as she was ready to destroy Spike.

"Eeek!" Spike didn't expect her to have such an outrage. This reaction was intense from the Queen of Unilight.

"Sala!" Refusing to let that happen was Salamence. He took flight, instantly using Flamethrower to burn her arm and make her drop Spike. Salamence would fly down to grab his trainer, saving him.

"Good one, Salamence!" Spike smiled as his Dragon Pokemon roared. It was a good thing that the dragon matter didn't get to him. Twilight Luminaria shook her head, aiming her horn straight at Spike and his Salamence. But soon, she would be interrupted by someone from below. A bolt of magic struck directly, coming from underneath.

When looking down, it was done by Twilight Moonlight. She managed to break free from the ice that surrounded her body, shattering it and recovering. She took deep breaths, smiling at her incarnation before returning Samurott to her Poke Ball.

"You broke free from the Frostfire?!" Twilight Luminaria exclaimed before realizing why and how that was the case. It wasn't Twilight Moonlight's natural magic that did it. It was this area itself. The effects of it weakened the magical ice, allowing her to break free. But as a result, her magic was weakened.

Twilight Moonlight was panting as she was also weakened. Being trapped in that type of ice was no laughing matter. Salamence would swoop down, picking her up to help escape. After grabbing her, Salamence was off, soaring through the air with Spike and Twilight Moonlight on his back.

"Nice save, Salamence!" Spike cheered while Twilight Moonlight was still trying to recover her breath. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine...I think..." She was still in a daze. She was weakened by the Frostfire, and then she felt a sudden surge of weakness. "What happened...?" Her eyes widened, seeing as she couldn't access a lot of magic. "Where are we...?"

"The Valley of Dead Magic. It's a place where all Magic is lowered. No magic user is able to reach their full potential here. Even if you did, the spell wouldn't be all that powerful anyways." Spike explained, giving Twilight Moonlight a basic idea of what's going on. "We flipped Unilight into the valley to weaken their magic and give us a chance to fight them and stop this invasion."

"I...see." She took a deep breath. "Such a place exists in your universe?"

"Who said it was in our universe?" Spike smirked. Based on what he said, this area was not from the Main Universe. Instead, they were currently in another universe.

"Urgh..." Twilight Luminaria groaned, holding her head from the lack of powerful magic brimming within. Despite this, she would do what she could. "This isn't over...Far from it!" With her eyes flashing, she formed a massive barrier that would start enveloping the entire city. Her magic was weakened, but she could still do a lot. She was the strongest among all of the Awakened, so she should be fine. Right?

The barrier rapidly emerged, forming around Unilight, covering it and creating a dome. This would protect the city from any more outside influence. However, the barrier was not as strong as it could be. The magic was weakened, but it was still there. It was enough to keep the city from being harmed, but it would not be able to last long.

Salamence would stop as the three of them were trapped inside of the city along with the soldiers of the Crystal Empire. "Looks like they got us in this bubble. We're stuck here for now." Spike pointed out, taking a deep breath. "But I'm gonna get to Ash and the others even if I'm stuck here. Have you seen them?"

"No...But for now, try and hide us. With her magic weakened, I bet she'll have a harder time looking for us. My soul will easily be trackable by her, but at least our options will be effective." Twilight Moonlight requested, prompting Salamence to descend.

This city was large enough for anyone to get lost with a plethora of hiding places. They would use that to their advantage as Twilight Luminaria was starting to return to normal. She lost her 500ft size, returning to her normal height.

As Grogar recovered from that spell, he would look at the magical projection, believing that the Star Beam Minior unleashed on Ash and the others was a success. He was at least looking forward to that. But as the light from the star was starting to dim, he expectations were shattered instantly.

The attack did make contact, but it did not deal damage. All because of Celestia's Reshiram. At a split-second, she managed to bring her Reshiram out, having him block the attack as he was currently holding the beam in place with his wings.

"What?!" Grogar bellowed. Reshiram snarled when holding the blazing Star Beam, but thankfully, he was able to resist the heat.

"Excellent work, Reshiram! Now, return the attack!" Celestia exclaimed. Reshiram would then tighten his grip on the beam, transferring his own flames through it. By doing so, not only did he make the beam much more powerful, but by mixing his flames with it, the Vast White Pokemon made it his own. With that, he threw the beam back, returning it to the source.

The blast would strike the Minior, and upon impact it would explode, destroying the Pokémon and the area around it. The Minior screamed as its massive meteor body would split into millions of pieces, each of them being an individual Minior that was once part of a bigger body.

"Min! Mini!" Each of the Minior cried out, feeling beyond perplexed.

"Now! Psychic!" Celestia, Sunset and Elio said in unison.

"Garde!" In sync, Gardevoir, Delphox and Alolan Raichu would focus their power on each individual Minior. Every single Minior was soon held by these telekinetic grips, unable to move and unable to fight back.

And with them all being, the three Psychic-Types would send them all towards their opponents. Each Combee which were just as plentiful as the Minior, would be attacked by the Minior as they came flying in at high speeds. The Minior would crash into each of the Combee, pelting them with the force of a meteor.

"V-Vespi!" Vespiquen stuttered and hissed at this, her body being attacked as well. With each of her children being damaged, she felt the pain. She roared in fury, commanding her subjects to attack once more. But they were unable to do so, completely bewildered. "Vespiquen! Vesp-"

Before she could finish, appearing before her was none other than Reshiram, holding his breath in and preparing a Fusion Flare. The Bug-Flying-Type's eyes widened as she witnessed a massive blue flame emerge from the Vast White Pokemon, coming down on her with insane levels of heat. Vespiquen had no way to defend herself. She would try and call for her subjects to form a shield, but that was pointless due to their state.

Thus, she was struck by the attack, the flames combusting and engulfing her. The outburst was massive enough to engulf every single Combee and Minior in the vicinity. The Combee would scream as the corrupted magic within them was being burned away, while the Minior would feel the flames wash over their bodies.

Eventually, the Combee were starting to faint. As their leader was defeated, there was no way they could continue fighting. They dropped like flies, each of them fainting one by one until they were all on the ground. The Minior were no different, fainting after taking those flames and even being used as weapons against their teammates.

With this defeat, their bodies returned to normal, the corruption from the Grogar's magic vanishing. The Combee and the Minior were freed from their control. This allowed Calem and his Gogoat to have an easier time approaching the bell with less interruptions, but it was not over yet. Ninjask, Shedinja, Plusle and Minun were still a threat for them all.

And speaking of Plusle and Minun, in unison, they used their elevated positive and negative energies as one. "Plus!" Plusle created a radiant field that energized its allies, boosting their attack power and regenerating their energy over time. By doing this, Plusle was regenerating the strength of the downed Minior, Combee and Vespiquen.

"This field...It's healing them!" Sunset Shimmer noticed, turning her attention to Plusle and Minun. She saw Plusle creating a field that would heal its allies. "Stop that Plusle, Delphox! Use Mystical Fire!"

"Phox! Del...!" Delphox raised her wand, conjuring a swirl of flames before aiming them right at Plusle.

"Min!" But that is where Minun came into play and it was arguably more dangerous than Plusle. Where Plusle could rejuvenate its allies and boost them, Minun did the opposite. It created a blackout field that was overflowing with negative energy, weakening its enemies and draining their vitality. By doing this, it weakened Delphox and her friends, preventing the attacks from going through. "Min! Min! Min!"

"Del...?!" Delphox panted heavily, feeling weak. Her flames were starting to die, becoming smaller by the second. She fell to her knees, unable to fight back.

"Raichu! Ra! Rai..." Raichu was panting as well. She was still weakened from the battle back in Canterlot, and now, she was becoming even weaker. "Chuuu..." She could barely hold her body up, eventually collapsing to the ground.

"Gar...de...voir..." Passion was on one knee, struggling to stand. She was panting heavily, feeling the effects of the field. "Garde..."

"What is...this...?" Celestia panted, feeling weaker. Her Reshiram was feeling the effects too, struggling to stay airborne. He roared, flapping his wings to keep from falling.

"I...feel it too..." Elio panted, holding his head and feeling weaker. "We're...getting drained..."

"Not for long...!" Clenching his teeth, Ash would take a Poke Ball, struggling to throw it. But he found the strength to do so, bringing out Gengar.

"Gengar!" And upon arrival, all that negative energy that Minun filled the area with meant nothing to Gengar. At all. In fact, it only served to energize him. "Gen! Gen! Gen!" Gengar took a deep breath, absorbing every ounce of that negative energy from the air and giving it to him.

"Min?!" Minun's eyes widened at this, as did Plusle. Minun panted and groaned, trying to create another field of negative energy but couldn't. "M-Min!"

"Something like this doesn't bother you, Gengar...So go for it! Use Dazzling Gleam!"

"Gen!" Gengar cackled at this, seeing as Minun could not generate any more negative energy. In reality, he was using the energy for himself, drawing upon him to fuel his strength. His eyes flashed a bright shade of blue, his eyes glowing as he focused on Plusle and Minun.

"Geng...gar..." Gengar's eyes would glow brighter as out of his body, a beautiful shine of rainbows and colors would come out of him. The rainbow lights would flash and dance in the air, dazzling those who saw it. "Gen...Gen...GEN!" And with a roar, the rainbow lights flashed, exploding with a powerful, blinding light. A beam of rainbow-colored energy would shoot towards both Plusle and Minun, causing a powerful explosion on impact. The positive field that Plusle generated would vanish, and with it, the healing effects would stop.

"MIN!"

"PLUS!"

"Gah!" Everyone gasped, no longer feeling the Negative energy around them. And thankfully, the healing energy stopped right as the opposing Pokemon were about to wake up. They were close to fully recovering their strength, but they were stopped just in time. This allowed everyone's strength to return to them. "Alright!"

"Good job, Gengar! Way to absorb that negative energy!" Ash smiled at this.

"Gengar!" Gengar laughed, taking a bow for his efforts.

While that was happening, Calem and Gogoat made their way to the bell. The Pokemon that stood in their way were Ninjask and Shedinja. Ninjask easily kept up due to its speed, zooming right next to Gogoat.

"Nin!" Upon appearing next to the duo, Ninjask created an array of illusionary afterimages due to how fast it was moving, striking Gogoat with each of them.

"G-Go!" Gogoat groaned as these afterimages were very much real and had actual physical contact. But that didn't deter the Mount Pokemon whatsoever.

"Dodge with Aerial Ace!" Calem exclaimed while also being hit by some of the afterimages as well.

"Goat!" With his eyes flashing, Gogoat would leave behind afterimages of his own, becoming faster than Ninjask. The ninja pokemon's eyes widened at this, with Gogoat ramming right into him. Gogoat's body was outlined in white streaks, and the force from this attack was able to break through the veil that Ninjask created.

"Jask!" Ninjask gasped, feeling Gogoat's head smash against its body. Ninjask was pushed back by this, spiralling through the air as all of its afterimages faded away, but it managed to recover. "Nin-Nin!" Upon recovery, Ninjask would vanish momentarily, suddenly dissappearing from view.

"What...?!" Calem blinked at the sudden vanished of the ninja pokemon, but he wasn't given time to react when his Gogoat was struck by a powerful attack from above. "What was that...?!" He looked up, seeing that the attack came from the Shedinja that was following them. "There's more coming!"

"Go...?!" Gogoat gasped, his body taking the brunt of the damage as it was hit by the incoming barrage. But he kept his head up high, refusing to be stopped. Shedinja would then appear in front of the two, using Fury Cutter to slash and slice at Gogoat and Calem. "Gooat...!" Gogoat was starting to slow down, being struck by the repeated attacks from Shedinja.

"Ninjask!" Ninjask was not finished either, appearing behind Gogoat and using Bug Bite. Ninjask's jaws bit onto Gogoat's body, causing him to scream out. And to add to the assault, Shedinja would use X-Scissor, slicing at the Mount Pokemon and its trainer. The two Pokemon were overwhelming the duo, and even if Gogoat wasn't being weakened, he would still struggle against them due to his Bug-type weakness.

"This speed is unreal...!" Calem's eyes tried following Ninjask but thanks to the natural ability of Speed Boost which still existed in this Monstrified Variant, there was no way he could keep up. He could tell what Shedinja was doing, but it wasn't enough.

"Gog! Gog!" Gogoat roared, trying to shake Ninjask off. He would then slam his horns against Shedinja, using Horn Leech to absorb some of Shedinja's health and recover some of his own. "Gog!" While doing this, he was able to knock the Shed Pokemon back and break its focus.

"Jask?!" Ninjask exclaimed, being thrown off of Gogoat and spiralled through the air. It was not too far from the ground, ready to make impact. But before it could hit the ground, it managed to recover and stay afloat. "Nin! Nin! Jask!"

"But...I've dealt with this before. I've taken on Shauna's Greninja...So I know exactly how to deal with ninjas!" Calem adjusted his hat, believing he could overcome this.

"Ninjask!" Ninjask would then channel all the speed its gained with Speed Boost, turning it into razor-sharp wind slashes. It then aimed these slashes at the Mount Pokemon. "Jask!"

"Shed..." Shedinja used Shadow Sneak, causing the shadow of Ninjask's attacks to surge towards Calem and Gogoat, making them bigger as well. "Jinja..."

"Gogoat!" Gogoat snarled, taking a sharp turn. He avoided the attacks, leaving behind a trail of green flames. "Goat! Goat!" He then stomped on the ground, causing the trail of green fire to erupt. The flames would surge upward, hitting the two Bug-Type Pokemon. They screamed at the contact of fire, being burned by the flames. "Gogoat...!"

"Gah!" Thee same applied to Calem. He and Gogoat would be burned as Calem was knocked off Gogoat's back. "Gouh!" He groaned, tumbling and rolling on the ground. "Gogoat, are you alright...?"

"Goat...!" Gogoat groaned, having burned himself with that move. "Gogoat!" He got up, shaking his head and recovering from the attack. Despite being burned, Gogoat still managed to get back onto his hooves and look towards Calem.

"Calem!" Elio would be rushing to his aid, bringing him to his feet. "You okay?!" Elio asked, making sure he didn't get badly injured.

"Yeah...I'll be fine...I think..." Calem groaned. "Those two are gonna be a problem. I have an idea, and I'm gonna need your help." Calem pointed at Ninjask and Shedinja.

"Sorry! I was kinda focused on the other Pokemon! Let me back you up like I promised!" Elio faced the duo.

"It's fine..." Calem would stand up, seeing that his clothes were ruined thanks to the flames. He had to remove his jacket for this, leaving only his shirt. "I've got them figured out now."

"Nin! Jask!" Ninjask ascended into the air, picking up as much speed as possible. It picked up so much speed that its body was catching on fire. It was not being damaged, but its body was generating so much heat. "Nin! Nin!" After gathering all that speed, Ninjask began descending, cloaked in a vortex of cutting winds and flames. "Jask!"

"Now, Gogoat! Giga Impact!"

"Gooooo!" Gogoat would meet Ninjask head-on, leaping off the ground and surrounding himself in an invisible energy. He soared into the air, meeting Ninjask's body. Both of their bodies smashed against one another, with Gogoat's horns pressing against Ninjask's body. Their collision would clear the clouds in the sky that were already burned by Reshiram's flames. But this was where Gogoat would turn the tides.

"Now!" Calem found an opportunity, seeing how Ninjask was about to summon another illusionary afterimage to sneak Gogoat from behind while he was in this clash. "Aerial Ace!"

"Goat!" Gogoat had tricks of his own. He used the speed of Aerial Ace to shift to the side, leaving the clash and causing Ninjask to keep descending.

"Nin?!" Ninjask was caught off guard. His body continued to charge downwards once Gogoat moved out of the clash, its balance being slightly disrupted along with the afterimage. Speaking of the afterimage, it was promptly taken out by Gogoat's Aerial Ace as the Mount Pokemon charged through it. "N-Ninjask!" Ninjask tried slowing itself down, but it couldn't.

This was all part of Calem's plan. He used Ninjask's speed against it, knowing that it couldn't stop itself. And now, he would use another of Ninjask's weaknesses against itself.

"Now it's our turn!" That allowed Elio and Alolan Raichu to land a hit on Ninjask. "Use Thunder!"

"Rai-Rai!" Alolan Raichu's tail would glow as it charged up a massive amount of electricity. The electric field was strong enough to shock Elio, causing him to shiver a little. "Chuuu!"

"GHHH! N-N-NOT ME TOO, RAICHU!" Elio stuttered, feeling all those volts pummel his inside.

"Jask?!" Ninjask was left defenseless, with no way to dodge the attack. All Raichu needed to do was unleash that thunderous energy, striking the ninja pokemon. "JAS-KKKK!" Ninjask's body was electrified, being paralyzed from the shock. "Nin...Jak..." Ninjask panted, falling to the ground and becoming paralyzed.

"Ugh...Awesome stuff, Raichu..." Elio groaned with a smile before falling on his back, also being paralyzed.

"Rai~!" She chirped with a smile.

"Shed..." But it wasn't over yet. There was still Shedinja. Once Ninjask was down, Shedinja took control of the situation. Shedjinja would suddenly start teleporting all over the place, blinking in and out of view in various places. "Shed...Shed..." It would then appear right before Alolan Raichu, using Fury Cutter. "Shed." It then vanished and appeared before Raichu again, striking her once more. "Shed." It would then vanish and reappear, attacking Raichu once more. It kept doing this repeatedly, teleporting and attacking at the same time.

"Chu! Rai!" Raichu would try to fight back, but Shedinja would just teleport and keep attacking. Raichu could barely keep up with its constant teleportation and movement. She couldn't even react in time before taking the next hit.

It was all so instant. Raichu couldn't keep up with it at all. She tried swinging her tail at Shedinja, only to miss completely and get slashed in the face again. "Chuu!" The Alolan Raichu would cry out, being overwhelmed by Shedinja's assault. It teleported and attacked again, then again, and again. The pattern was getting faster, making it nearly impossible for Raichu to counter. "R-Rai!" Raichu tried again, attempting to hit Shedinja with a quick jolt. But it didn't work. Shedinja was simply too fast, and it was able to avoid every attack she threw at it.

"Shed. Shedinja." It spoke calmly, almost tauntingly as it kept teleporting and slashing at Raichu.

"No good...Raichu can't keep up like this...!" Elio got back up, shaking off the paralysis. "Not only that, but that Wonder Guard's an issue. Raichu doesn't have anything for that...Return, Raichu!" Making a smart call, he would bring Raichu back to her Poke Ball. "I gotta find a way around that Wonder Guard...And I know the guy for the job. I'm counting on you! Incineroar!"

"Incineroar!" With the Poke Ball flying out, the Heel Pokemon emerged. And upon entry, he did not hesitate to pose. Incineroar knew this was all being viewed by the citizens of Unilight, so with a massive audience, he would show off a little bit. "Inci!"

But all that garnered were boos from the crowd. Naturally, since Ash and his friends were winning once more. All they wanted to see was Prisma's defeat already but that seemed to be getting farther and farther away.

"Show them your power, Incineroar!" Elio smiled.

"Incineroar!" The Pokemon roared, flexing his muscles and posing once again.

"Shed. Shed. Shed." The Shell Pokemon's voice would echo, teleporting all over the place and confusing Calem and Gogoat. He looked around frantically, trying to keep track of the ghostly bug.

"It doesn't matter how much you teleport...if Incineroar can just do this! Use Darkest Lariat!"

"Cine! Incineroar...!" By holding his arms out, Incineroar started spinning on the spot, creating a massive cyclone of darkness around his body. He would then use the momentum of this spin to pull in Shedinja, ignoring its teleportation and grabbing the Pokemon. "Roar!"

"Jinja!" Shedinja gasped, being captured by this spinning tornado. Shedinja's body would be spun around repeatedly, unable to escape from the vortex. "Shed! Jin! Ja!" And since Wonder Guard couldn't protect Shedinja from Darkest Lariat due to the Type weakness, Incineroar was a perfect counter to the Shed Pokemon.

"Incine." Incineroar grinned once he had Shedinja in its grasp. Panicking, Shedinja would quickly shed its own already-shedded body as a way to escape and counterattack. It created a decoy of its shell that immediately combust with spectral power. "Incineroar?!"

"Shed!" The real one would appear above Incineroar, using Shadow Sneak to slash at his back. It was able to strike multiple times in rapid succession.

"That won't stop us! Incineroar! Use Flare Blitz!"

"Roar! Incin!" Incineroar would leap into the air, surrounding his body with intense flames. He then slammed his fiery body into Shedinja, setting its shell on fire and unleashing a searing combustion.

"Ja...ja..." Shedinja's shell was cracking. Its entire body was covered in flames. The Shedd Pokemon was slowly burning away. "Jinja!" It screamed in pain, its shell starting to crumble.

"Shed!" But the Shell Pokemon didn't want to be defeated that easily. He summoned all his remaining strength, using X-Scissor. He would use the flames on its body to ignite the blades of its claws, turning them red-hot with fire and slashing at Incineroar with an X-shaped attack.

"Grab it!"

"Roar!" But Incineroar would promptly grab onto Shedinja's claws, his brute strength easily halting the Shed Pokemon's movements.

"S-Shed?! Shedin!" Shedinja stuttered as it was starting to panic now. It would try to shed its body once more, but this time, Incineroar was ready. He would hug Shedinja, holding its entire body to ensure that there wouldn't be an escape this time. "Shed! Shedin!" The Shell Pokemon would struggle to get out of his grasp, but it was no use. It was trapped in his arms and could not escape. "Jin!"

"Alright! Time for a good old fashioned suplex! Darkest Lariat!"

"Incin!" Music to Incineroar's ears. With a joyous grin in the air, he leapt into the air with Shedinja still in his arms, spinning the Shell Pokemon around in the air. Shedinja's shell was starting to break even more as Incineroar spun it around in the air. The Shell Pokemon could hardly defend itself as it was being tossed around like a rag doll.

"Ja...ja...ja...ja!" Shedinja's voice would echo in the sky as it was spun around in the air. Its shell was starting to break even further as it was being tossed around. The Shell Pokemon was helpless to fight back as it was being used as a projectile by the Heel Pokemon.

"Incineroar!" At the apex of his ascent into the sky, he would halt, bringing the spinning motion to a stop. And with a swing of his arms, he slammed Shedinja into the ground with a mighty blow. "Inci!" Upon smashing Shedinja into the ground, the impact would be so great that it would cause a crater to form beneath him. And upon impact, Shedinja's shell would break even further. The Shell Pokemon's body was breaking apart as it was being slammed into the ground.

"Ja...Jin..." Shedinja would groan, its body starting to crack and crumble away. Its shell was breaking apart as it was being slammed into the ground. Shedinja's body was starting to break apart as it was being crushed by Incineroar's powerful arms. "Sheindja..." Thus, it fainted, returning to its original form.

"Alright! Nice work, Incineroar!"

"Incineroar." The Pokemon posed triumphantly, taking a moment to bask in his victory. If only he could hear the boos right now, but he chose to believe he was hearing cheers due to how impressive his display was.

"Now..." Calem would turn his attention to the bell. "Let's go." With Ninjask and Shedinja now out of the picture, they had a clear shot. And Calem and Gogoat would rush towards that bell. With no other Pokemon left to stop them, the bell was up for grabs. Plusle and Minun were too occupied to stop them and Grogar couldn't do anything. Due to the magic being lowered, he couldn't properly interact with the environment.

And with that, Calem rang the bell, meaning that this stage was cleared. They finished the third trial, succeeding with flying colours and overcoming their enemies. Plusle and Minun paused, hearing the bell as they realized what had happened.

Grogar paused at this. He was suppossed to make this as unfair as possible for them. The Queen left it all in his hooves now that she was currently busy with others and he failed. It didn't help that this zone greatly lowered the magic of Unilight. He grit his teeth, being visibly furious while the crowd booed even louder.

"Urrggghhhh!" Grogar snorted, his fur starting to bristle. His eyes started glowing as his anger began to rise. He was starting to lose his cool. His emotions were beginning to get the better of him, causing him to snap. He couldn't handle it anymore. Grogar couldn't contain himself any longer. He would stomp his hooves on the ground, growling in anger.

"Curse them! As a unit, they're far more dangerous! It's that resonance...They're so alike that they know exactly how to work together so wonderfully!" Grogar would continue to scream at them. His eyes were filled with rage, his fur was bristling and his face was twisted into an angry snarl. "This is not the end! Far from it!"

"Having trouble?" Suddenly, a voice spoke to him from within. A voice that sounded just like his own. The Professor gasped, looking around for the one who responded to him. But it wasn't anyone behind him or within his vicinity. It was far more personal than that and Grogar soon realized who it was.

It was the Main Universe's Grogar, who's soul he had merged with.

"You..." Professor Grogar said.

"You didn't expect me to speak at all, did you? You merged your soul with mine to gain a body at last, but you were unaware that it allowed me to live as well." The other Grogar explained. "And you're the one in control, which is fine with me. I'm quite content to watch you fail." The voice of the original Grogar said to him. "But I'd rather you not."

"And now of all times you decide to speak?"

"Clearly, you are struggling greatly. And this area is already diminishing so much magical power...Allow me to rectify that and give you assistance." The Original Grogar decided to chime in and deal with Ash's group himself. He had something special. Something that he could let his alternate self utilize.

"Alright. That's this trial done." Calem said after he had rung the bell. Everyone else walked over to him as Plusle and Minun were being held by Reshiram. The Vast White Pokemon was more than enough to keep these rowdy Monstrified Pokemon restrained.

"Excellent work, everyone. There's only two trials left now. Once complete, we should be able to leave and even put an end to Unilight's mission to destroy you all." Celestia said.

"Sounds too good to be true. I bet she's gonna trick us by the end." Lucas crossed his arms, not believing that Twilight Luminaria would actually keep to her word.

"Maybe. We can only hope that's not the case." Sci-Twi said.

"If she does trick us, we'll just take her on." Nate shrugged it off. "We've been through a lot today. I don't think anything will surprise me anymore."

"Now. Let's-" But Celestia's words were cut off. Something happened. Something shocking. Without anyone but Passion managing to sense it, something ended up arriving in this dimension, not making a sound at all. The Sun Princess's eyes widened along with Ash and his counterparts. As their pupils shrunk, they all looked down to see and feel something that had gone through them.

Sci-Twi and Sunset gasped and shrieked in horror as a mass of magical energy had travelled through the bodies of Ash and the others, going straight through their chests and piercing their hearts. Everyone froze in shock as their hearts were struck by that strange, invisible force. They couldn't move, they couldn't even breathe.

"The Magic that ignores sound itself. A spell I created during my absence from the world. It exists partially outside the physical realm, making it invisible and silent to those without exceptional sensory abilities." The Original Grogar spoke, revealing this spell to his counterpart. And what a spell it was. Practically flawless as it struck them all, including Celestia herself.

And then, one by one, they collapsed to the ground. And all that was heard was the scream of Sci-Twi.

"ASH!"

As the journey continues.
