Unilight. The Valley of Dead Magic. Afternoon.

Celestia and Passion had destroyed the dimension leading to the Star Trials, emerging out of it as golden flames erupted. The citizens of Unilight screeched as they looked up at the Sun Princess, feeling the heat she generated.

"You can call this off at once. I know you're taking the reins right now. If Twilight Luminaria were here, then surely, she would do so."

"Well, she isn't. Her majesty is dealing with important business. Meaning I'm in charge right now and I declare you to be eliminated at once."

"So be it...Everyone here will watch as I absolutely overwhelm you." Celestia said with a menacing tone. "I've never dealt with the Grogar of my world. He was before my time. But I know a lot about him regardless and if you aren't any different, I know exactly how to defeat you. So get ready."

"Hah! You wouldn't dare! I know you well enough, Princess Celestia! If you want to stop me, then you yourself should know that you'll put the lives of others at risk! And after all, these awakend Unilight residents, a majority of them were all yours! Whether from Equestria, Kanto, Unova or whatever place in your world, you could never bring yourself to cause them any harm! You're a goody two shoes who can't bring herself to do such a thing! So go on! Attack! It's not like you can do anything, right?" Grogar sneered, taunting Celestia.

"...You're right. I can't bring myself to attack and cause these people harm." Celestia admitted, shocking Grogar. She would then turn to her subjects. "But clearly, your knowledge on other universes is lacking!"

"W-What?!"

"I already feel it...The great magical imbalance in this world. My magic is still at its best. Its absolute peak. While yours...yours has diminished. There's an imbalance that's preventing the amazing magic of Unilight from being itself...Which means I already know which Universe this is, while you don't!"

"!!!" Grogar was taken aback. Twilight Luminaria knew what place this was thanks to Twilight Sparkle's knowledge, but not Grogar. Since they were in the Valley of Dead Magic, there was an imbalance that targeted all things Unilight.

"Yes...That's right." Celestia had a rather menacing smile along with Passion. "I won't need to use my full strength to stop your diminished magic. But just to be safe, I'll overwhelm you regardless."

"Gah?! You're bluffing! You have to be!" Grogar growled.

"Am I? You can feel it, so no matter what, you can't deny it. So the biggest issue you have to face is not if you can beat me...It's if you have enough power to try in the first place." Celestia said with a devious chuckle. "Like so."

With a sparkle from her horn, Celestia unleashed a glorious golden beam from her horn, shooting it into the sky and causing a massive solar flare. This flare was powerful enough to be seen by many residents of Unilight. Everyone looked up at this sight with shock and amazement.

"T-The queen...!" A pony exclaimed.

"Is that Princess Celestia?!" A Changeling gasped.

"That golden light...It's Celestia's Magic!" A human realized.

As they witnessed this Solar Flare and how fast it was expanding, it prompted Grogar to take action. Swiftly, he used his magic to launch an array of Poke Balls out, relying on his Pokemon to defend him since the Arcane Institute wasn't here. Out of each ball, different Monstrified Pokemon emerged.

There was Omastar, Heracross, Gorebyss, Sandslash, Swanna and more.

"Protect me, my minions!" Grogar ordered. "And destroy that insolent Princess!" He pointed over at Celestia with a scowl.

"Hmph! I thought you'd never ask." Celestia replied. She was glad she could use her magic to the fullest now, especially after all that happened to her. Her magic was at its peak right now. But just to be safe, she made sure to get the attention of everyone in Unilight. "I'll defeat Grogar and bring all of my subjects back to how they were. I swear it!" Celestia declared.

Meanwhile, in the rest of the city, Twilight Luminaria began the search for Twilight Moonlight and Spike, tracking them down by sensing Moonlight's soul. But even then, this city was disgustingly massive and finding Twilight Moonlight in there was not going to be easy.

Speaking of which, the duo kept a low profile, being in the south part of the city. Twilight Moonlight was able to locate a quiet area where she and Spike would rest for now. The young dragon felt that it would be better if they moved around so it would be harder to be found, but Twilight Moonlight insisted on staying put.

"But Moonlight, we need to keep moving." Spike said.

"Yes...But I can tell that something is happening in the north." Twilight Moonlight said. "I'm sensing...A lot of people up there. A lot of people and a lot of danger. It would be too risky for us to head up there."

Spike nodded, realizing that would be a bad idea. "Right...You're right. But how are we supposed to find the others if we don't move around?"

"No clue. This is a rough situation even for me..." Twilight Moonlight took a deep sigh, looking to the distance with a conflicted expression. "But it looks like, we're not in the same universe as before." She raised her head, looking up at the Solar Flare in the sky. But even before that, she was able to see the skies of this universe, noticing how different they were, especially within the Valley of Dead Magic.

"We're not...?" Spike blinked, looking up at the sky with her. "How can you tell?"

"The skies of our universe are more vibrant than these skies. And look around us...It's clear we aren't in Equestria or anywhere in the main universe anymore. We're in a completely different place. Not only that...but I can feel a massive magic imbalance within this world." Twilight Moonlight said. "Whatever's happening is escalating out of control..."

"Hold on. I'll get us to Ash and the others, then we can focus on getting out of here." Spike promised, taking out a Poke Ball. From it, he brought out his Druddigon.

"Druddigon!"

"Druddigon. Get us through the rest of the city on foot, please. And be stealthy about it." Spike requested.

"Drud! Druddigon!" Druddigon nodded, happy to assist. Both Spike and Moonlight got on Druddigon's back as he moved through the south part of the city with stealth. The area they were in was known as the Oversparkle Quarter. A district devoted to high magical study and enchantments. The area features towering spires, alchemy shops, enchanted forests contained in domes, and floating platforms.

As they moved, they couldn't help but notice how dark it was within this Quarter despite the fact that it was daytime. The clouds in the sky blocked out the sun. The Oversparkle Quarter was a stark contrast to the rest of the city, which was filled with colourful skies and sunlight.

But while it was dark, Druddigon was able to move with ease thanks to his dark vision. This allowed him to easily sneak around while carrying Twilight Moonlight and Spike. It helped that there were not many people around since they were all watching Celestia in the northern part of the city.

As they travelled through the Oversparkle Quarter, they would eventually reach an area known as the Pokeflora District. It was a large grassland surrounded by skyscrapers and other towering buildings. In this area, there were many different types of Pokemon that populated the place. From Grass Types like Lilligant and Ferroseed, to Water Pokemon like Samurott and Kingdra.

They were all living peacefully amongst the ponies, humans, changelings, griffins, zebra, dragon and even a Mewtwo. Many of these Pokemon had homes in the grassy fields and trees while others lived in the massive skyscrapers. It was an amazing sight to see.

As for the two Unilight Kids who were living here, they would often find themselves playing with Pokemon in the Pokeflora District. They were having a great time as they chased after Cottonee and Petilil, having fun with their games.

Eventually, the Cottonee and Petilil were able to flee, prompting the two Unilight children to go after them. "We won't let you get away!"

"Yeah!" The two Unilight kids said, running into the grass. They moved through it, using their keen eyesight to locate the Pokemon they were chasing after. Druddigon passed by them, still remaining hidden as he kept moving through the grass.

There was no time to slow down. Not while Twilight Luminaria was pursuing them. She was no doubt close by and the last thing Spike and Twilight Moonlight wanted was for her to catch up to them. They had to keep moving.

When advancing, they moved further in the Oversparkle Quarter, coming across a spot known as the Golurk Forge. A mechanized area dedicated to the crafting and enchanting of constructs such as Golurks.

Here, many of these automatons were crafted by expert hands with a plethora of tools and magic.

It was here where they were about to find a few of their friends. As Druddigon ran through the area, Spike and Twilight Moonlight spotted a few familiar faces. So many citizens of Equestria, now loyal to Unilight and under Grogar's influence, were trying to craft as many Golurks as possible.

Twilight Moonlight would soon put a mask on her face, disguising herself from the eyes of others. Right now, there were already large Golurks walking around, performing tasks. Some were Golurks that served Equestria but now served Unilight while others were already pre-made by Unilight's residents.

Druddigon played it cool, making sure not to stand out or do anything suspicious. He would pass by a group of Unilight citizens who were busy crafting more Golurks for Unilight. He kept his eyes forward, not looking at them and trying to keep his composure.

Up above, the sound of the Solar Flare continued to roar across the city. It was a frightening sight to behold for some, but for Twilight Moonlight and Spike, they could only pray that Celestia would be okay.

In another part of the city, Twilight Luminaria was getting closer to locating Twilight Moonlight and Spike, being very close to them. But as she kept pursuing them, she felt a great magical presence in the distance, looking over there. Her eyes widened in shock as she saw the Solar Flare in the sky, knowing what that meant.

"...Celestia?!" She couldn't believe it. Celestia was here, having broken free from the dimensions that held the Star TRIAL. "That must mean...they've completed the trials?!" Thinking that, Luminaria realized she might have to truly go with the deal they made. If they cleared the trials, then Twilight Luminaria would have to let them go and cease her massive goal.

"No...it can't be...Then this would be for nothing...I would've let Prisma leave scot-free without any proper punishment!" Twilight Luminaria clenched her hooves in frustration as she knew this. "How coudl this be happening...Everything was suppossed to go splendidly. It should have...I'm the Master of all things Magic. The ruler of an entire Supernation that envelops the planet itself. I should be able to do anything..."

She looked to the sky, seeing how powerful that Solar Flare was. Suddenly, she was filled with growing dread. Celestia was at full strength and Twilight Luminaria wasn't. There was no way she could defeat Celestia in battle. "...Can I even succeed here?"

Right now, she was starting to have doubts. Doubts that she could pull this off. She was starting to think that the negotiation was a mistake, and that she should have just taken out the main threat in Ash Ketchum's soul and the others.

"...Why am I being so pathetic right now? This isn't me..." She shook her head, looking up at the Solar Flare once more. She tried to keep a positive outlook on things, but the situation made that difficult for her.

"Twilight! Dear!" Just then, two voices called out to her, grabbing the attention of the Queen. Turning her head, she saw them. Her parents. Twilight Velvet and Night Light, former King and Queen of Unilight. They galloped to their daughter with joy and tears in their eyes, glad that they were reunited once more.

"Oh, Twilight! My little Twilight!" Twilight Velvet cried, hugging her daughter tightly. "My daughter...I've missed you so much...!"

"Oh my sweet girl...! We missed you!" Night Light hugged her too, crying tears of joy. "We thought we'd never see you again! It's been so long since we've seen you..."

"Mother...Father..." Twilight Luminaria felt tears welling up in her eyes as she returned their hugs. "I've missed you both so much...It's been so long since I've seen you..."

"Oh! You're the right one. Our little Queen. We were worried that we got one of your counterparts again, but it looks like you're only inhabiting her body right now." Night Light said with relief.

"We're glad we found you in all of this. Please, sweetie. We need to talk. I know you're busy about stopping Prisma, but there's a few things we need to discuss." Twilight Velvet said.

"But I can't...Not right now. Things are far too crucial. I need to stop Prisma at all costs, no matter what." Twilight Luminaria said.

"About that...That's why we can to talk to you, Twilight." Night Light was about to be incredibly honest about it. "I don't think you should stop Prisma...It's best that you stop here."

"...What?!" Luminaria couldn't believe her ears. She stepped back in shock, not expecting to hear this. "You...You don't think I should stop him?! But Father...you know how dangerous he is!"

"I know...I know he's dangerous. But Twilight...I just feel that you've gone down a terrifying path. Your objective is noble and all you want is the best for everyone and their safety...But the way you want to destroy Prisma...all of this...is it really worth it? Do you think that you're doing the right thing?" Night Light asked, concerned for his daughter.

"Of course I am! You know I am!"

"But Twilight...All the residents here...sure they may be ours and have awakened, but they aren't truly. Some are residents of Equestria. Some of Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh. All of them have their own new lives to live, and we can't take all of that away from them." Twilight Velvet pointed out.

"B-But I'm not! Awakening them means that everyone that once lived in Unilight will return to leave the lives that were taken from them. It's beyond unfair that they lost the rest of their lives like that. Thanks to Prisma, the universe they once knew was gone and I had to make the risk of wiping the slate clean, working with the Rift. They deserve to live right now, even if it means taking over the lives of others just like them." Twilight Luminaria argued. "It's for their sake that I'm doing this! Everything I do...It's all for them!"

"We know they're in your best interest, sweetie, but please. Think about everyone else. There are those who have no dormant souls in them so they never awakened. They probably miss their loved ones dearly...They don't want to lose the lives they have. Do you understand?" Twilight Velvet tried to convince her. "Is it worth it?"

"More than anything. Someone that dangerous cannot be allowed to exist anymore. Even if it means taking the previous lives of others away to ensure my subjects' safety and happiness. then so be it. You taught me this lesson yourself, didn't you?" Twilight Luminaria said.

"Yes. We did. But...this is different. What about Ash Ketchum? You know he has a mother. If she finds out what happens to her son, it will crush her." Night Light tried to convince his daughter. "That's not fair to her, is it?"

"I...I..." Luminaria hesitated. She had nothing to say to that. She didn't want to admit it, but it was true. Delia Ketchum would lose her son and she would forever wonder what happened to him. And that wasn't fair to her. And it didn't help that she knew the truth. The truth behind all the resets and how Selene, Delia's incarnation, was the one preventing the Star Tyrant from fully succeeding each reset.

"Twilight, we understand how much you care about our subjects. You've done so much for them and you've proven time and time again that you will do anything for their safety. But there has to be another way. I know you'll find it in your heart. Please, listen to us." Twilight Velvet begged. "Please...don't let this go on."

"...There should be another way, shouldn't there?" Twilight Luminaria turned away from them. "It's why I decided to hold the Star Trials for them. If they won, I would allow them to find that other way, even if I believed it was pointless. A part of me didn't want them to do so since I know there is another way...but I wanted to see what they could do."

"That's because there's a part of you that knows there's another way. That's what it is!" Twilight Velvet replied. "You know there's another way. You just need to find it. We'll help you."

"...You're wrong. No matter what, there'll never be another way. All these words you're telling me...They won't stop me. And I had hoped my own parents would be on my side."

"But we are on your side, dear! We are! We just don't want you to lose yourself along the way. Please...You must listen to us." Twilight Velvet begged.

"I'm sorry Mother. But I can't. You don't understand what I've been through. Everything I've been through...It's more than enough for me to take action and ensure the safety of everyone else. If that means going as far as taking the lives of others to bring back the happiness of our people, then so be it." Twilight Luminaria shook her head.

"At this rate, we fear that you might tap into your alter-ego. The one that we feared you could become. Midnight Luminaria." Night Light said with a worried expression while Twilight Luminaria gasped in horror at the mention of that name.

"Don't you dare say that..." Twilight Luminaria's mane would flare as her magic started rising. "You know for a fact I'd never become that! I'm far above that alter-ego to the point where her existence doesn't matter. I will never fall to her."

"But Twilight-"

"ENOUGH!" She silence her own father with a look. "I am the Queen of Unilight. My word is absolute. I'm sorry, Mother. Father. But I've already decided on this...and for you to try and stop me, I have no choice but to punish you as well.

"Punish us?!" The duo gasped in horror, unable to believe what their own daughter was saying.

"Please...please don't do this. We're your parents." Night Light begged.

"And I'm your daughter, your queen. My word is absolute." Twilight Luminaria said, her horn glowing. She was ready to punish them accordingly as she closed her eyes. It was clear that she was feeling down about this, not wanting to do this to her own parents.

She just had to do this. Her mind was made up. This was how she felt. She opened her eyes, glaring at her parents.

"Forgive me..." A magic circle formed in front of her as she would launch it at her parents. She had the intention to trap them somewhere, rendering them unable to do anything. And after that, she would decide their punishment. But as the circle approach and her parents cowered, suddenly, something had blocked the magic.

Or rather, someone.

"That's no way to treat your parents..." A familiar voice responded to her. It was none other than Shining Armor, who had his Aegislash use King's Shield to block Twilight's spell. He appeared beside her parents, protecting them from Twilight's magic. "Especially if they're trying to help you..."

"Shining Armor." Twilight Luminaria narrowed her eyes at her brother. Well, she didn't exactly have a brother. Twilight Sparkle did while Luminaria was an only child.

"Oh, Shining Armor is it?!" Twilight Velvet gasped.

"You act like I'm not your son...Don't tell me you've awakened too?" Shining Armor said as Aegislash cut the spell in half. With Shining Armor here, that meant the Crystal Empire had succeeded in entering Unilight, here to assist Celestia and the others. Currently, Crystal Empire soldiers along with their Pokemon were swarming the mega city, engaging against the corrupted citizens of Unilight.

"Get to safety, you two." Shining Armor said to them. "We're in a friendly universe. Leave the Valley of Dead Magic and you'll find the nearest city that'll keep you safe."

"We can't do that! We need to stop Twilight from going further down this path!" Night Light replied.

"I understand...but I promise you, she won't get hurt. I'll make sure of it." Shining Armor nodded his head as he turned to his sister. "I know you're still there, Twily."

"...Twily? That's what you call me now?" Twilight Luminaria asked, narrowing her eyes.

"I always called you Twiley." Shining Armor smirked at her. "Well, my Twilight anyways. Force of habit. But it looks like...just like Twilight Moonlight, you don't have a sibling to call you by a nickname. Must've been pretty sad."

"As if having a sibling would make anyone happier."

"50/50. Either way, you're going to leave my little sister's body and surrender, right? You know I'm not going to let you win." Shining Armor declared as Twilight Velvet and Night Light made a run for it.

"I don't have time for you...!" Twilight Luminaria snarled before taking a deep breath. After the conversation she just had with her parents, her anger had been quelled and replaced by sadness. But she was still upset regardless. "Hah...Alright then. So be it. Even if I'm in another universe, even if my magic is being diminished...even if my enemies are still at the peak of their magic, I refuse to give up. Hear me well, Shining Armor and relay this to everyone else after your defeat. I'll find a way to turn this around in my favour. I will come out victorious."

She turned her back on him, walking away from him as her horn started glowing. "I hope you're prepared..."

Back with Celestia, she and Passion had absolutely overwhelmed the Monstrified Pokemon to the point where it wasn't even a competition. All of them were either taken down, knocked out and/or had retreated to heal.

The Solar Flare continued to shine as Celestia approached Grogar, who was now on his own. But not defenceless. Seeing that he was ata huge disadvantage, he would make a tactical retreat while also aiming to fight back. When Celestia approached, Grogar used his magic to form a massive radius-wide barrier that would rapidly expand, crackling with intense power.

"Come here!" Celestia fired a golden beam at said barrier, shattering it. The impact and force of the barrier shattering made Grogar stagger backwards. This was all Celestia needed to make her move.

She unleashed her own magic, unleashing a massive blast of energy at Grogar. This took him by surprise as he couldn't dodge or block it. The attack would slam into him and send him flying through the air. He would crash into a building, shattering it upon impact and landing into another building. He would keep going like this for a few more buildings before landing on the ground. He was dazed and confused from that attack.

"It's over, Grogar. I won't allow you to go any further." Celestia declared as she landed on the ground in front of him. Grogar snarled in anger, glaring at her with his intense glowing blue eyes.

"Don't be so sure, Celestia. You may have the advantage for now, but that won't last forever." Grogar said with a chuckle.

"Why do you think that?"

"Even if there is a magic imbalance, Unilight is still a nation filled with so much magic. Not just in quantity but in variety. Everything around me can be used to my advantage, even if the magic is diminished! Like so!" Grogar cackled as the walls themselves would attack Celestia. She was caught off guard as they moved like tentacles and began wrapping themselves around her legs.

She struggled to free herself, but she had to quickly stop when Grogar would try to fire a magic beam at her. She raised a barrier that blocked the attack, causing the beam to bounce right off of it. Grogar then tried to fire another beam, this time from his mouth.

Celestia responded by firing her own magic beam from her mouth, causing both of them to clash against one another. The two beams pushed against each other as the two powerful beings fought for dominance over the other. But Celestia's won, overpowering Grogar's. He grimaced at the incoming beam, promptly teleporting out of the way as the beam struck a wall, obliterating it.

Grogar reappeared on the other side of the room. Celestia turned around, ready to face him again but he would teleport once more. He appeared above her, using his own magic to bring down more parts of the ceiling, trying to crush Celestia. She would move out of the way, avoiding the falling debris and moving fast.

"How unfair this is...If only I had the rest of my magic!" Grogar exclaimed before firing casting a spell that would cause the ground itself to shatter and form spikes that launched themselves at Celestia. Celestia would quickly radiate a solar aura from her body, enveloping and destroying the spikes as she continued her assault against Grogar. She would teleport beside him and hit him with an array of powerful punches that sent him crashing into the wall.

Celestia wouldn't allow Grogar to rest as she continued her assault. She cast a spell that would lock off the surrounding area, preventing him from escaping. Grogar saw this coming but didn't have the power to initiate a counterspell strong enough. Grogar had to play it defensively thanks to the Valley of Dead Magic's effect.

But he could also rely on Unilight itself, as well as all the Pokemon he's monstrified and the other Unilight Forces. Right now, the best thing he could do was hold out against the force of nature that was Princess Celestia. Suddenly, the Original Grogar spoke within him, getting involved once more.

"Having problems? "Not to worry. I have an answer to this annoying problem."

As the journey continues.
