My Little Pokémon: Grander World
For their Nation
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUnilight. Unilight City. The Valley of Dead Magic. Late Afternoon.
At Unilight, the Crystal Empire had arrived, here to assist as always. And during their arrival, Shining Armor came face to face with Twilight Luminaria, wanting his little sister back immediately. In response to this interference, she threw a Poke Ball out, summoning Kartana to deal with Aegislash.
"Ssecnrip..." Kartana said, knowing Twilight Luminaria was in control now.
"Kartana. Don't even think about having second thoughts." Luminaria shut him down instantly. "You know what you have to do. And I won't hear anything else." Refusing to hear Kartana's words, Twilight Luminaria cast a spell on him that would automatically allow Kartana to obey her. She wasting anytime with this, choosing to get all the advantages that she could.
Kartana's body would glow with the signature light of Twilight Luminaria, the spell already taking effect.
"Kartana!" Shining Armor cried out. The force of the spell surrounding him was powerful enough to push him back. His eyes widened, realizing that his sister was really serious about this. But he wasn't going to give up either. He raised his shield, channeling his own magic and preparing to launch it at her.
"Cut them both down, Kartana! Leaf Blade!"
"Go, Aegislash! Use Sacred Sword!"
The two Pokemon clashed against one another, each with their own unique swords. Their blades were locked together as both Pokemon tried to push against one another. Kartana had the advantage of using his swords for a more offensive approach while Aegislash used his blade for defense and offense.
"Slice through!"
"Guard yourself, Aegislash!"
Kartana unleashed a flurry of slashes, each strike powerful enough to cut through multiple objects in its path. Aegislash defended himself with his shield, taking each slash without flinching. Kartana kept attacking, hoping that Aegislash would eventually break under his assault. However, Aegislash was a Pokemon who was built for defense. It would take a lot more than some sword strikes to take him down.
Shining Armor was trying to think of something, anything to try and get through to his sister. He didn't want to fight her. Not like this.
"Twilight...I know you're in there."
Kartana's attack ended abruptly as he leapt back, trying to catch his breath.
"You can hear me, right? You don't have to do this. I know you don't want to hurt anyone!" Shining Armor called out to his sister.
Kartana ignored his trainer's pleas as he charged forward. He wanted to finish the job. He swung his sword at Aegislash again, but this time, he was able to block the attack with his shield. This gave Kartana a chance to follow up with another strike, but Aegislash was prepared for it. He parried the strike with his sword, deflecting it. Aegislash then used his momentum to swing his shield around, slamming it into Kartana and knocking him back.
Kartana recovered quickly, however, and used his blades to create a wind blade that struck Aegislash in the back. This caused him to cry out in pain as he stumbled forward. Kartana then followed up with another wind blade attack, which hit Aegislash square in the chest. The force of this attack sent Aegislash flying across the room and crashing into the wall.
Shining Armor watched as his Pokemon struggled to get up. He knew that he couldn't keep this up for long. If he didn't do something soon, Kartana would surely finish off Aegislash.
"Please! I know you're still in there, Twily. I know you don't want to hurt me. Or anyone else." Shining Armor cried out. "You're my sister! Please, Twily. Come back to me and get her out of you!"
"Quiet. She's not here right now. I have full control, so no matter what you say, your sister isn't coming back until my goal is complete. And quit calling me that stupid nickname! It's childish! Kartana! Aerial Ace!"
Kartana dashed forward at the speed of light, his body cloaked in white light as he prepared to strike Aegislash. Aegislash looked up and saw Kartana coming towards him. He raised his shield, ready to defend himself. But Kartana was too fast. He struck Aegislash with a powerful blow, knocking him back against the wall again. Aegislash cried out in pain as he was slammed into the wall, leaving a large dent in it.
"Now finish him off!" Luminaria declared as Kartana leapt into the air, preparing to deal the final blow.
"King's Shield!"
"Slash!" But at the right moment, Aegislash managed to raise his shield, blocking Kartana's attack. Kartana's blades bounced off the shield, causing him to stumble back. Aegislash then used his momentum to swing his sword around, hitting Kartana with a powerful blow. This knocked Kartana back even further, causing him to fall to the ground.
Shining Armor knew that this was his chance. He had to take it. He needed to stop Twilight Luminaria. For her own good. Using his magic, he would try and blind her, unleashing a vibrant flash of light that would cause her to stagger back. She growled, covering her eyes as the light became too much for her to bear.
"Kartana! Finish Aegislash!" Luminaria said, still covering her eyes from the bright light. Kartana looked up and saw his opponent in a weakened state. He wasted no time in getting back up and charging towards him. As Kartana reached Aegislash, he swung his swords at him, aiming to end it once and for all.
"Sacred Sword!"
"Aegislash!" Aegislash cried out as he swung his sword, colliding with Kartana's blade. The impact caused a massive outburst of light that would eclipse the surrounding area, causing both Twilight Luminaria and Shining Armor to squint their eyes. When the light faded, both Pokemon were still conscious, even though they went hurtling through the air.
"Kh...!" Twilight Luminaria snarled.
"It's not that easy. You and I both know how good Aegislash is. At least, Twily knows. He trained under Cobalion, so he's equal to Kartana, no matter what." Shining Armor said.
"I can tell...even if I have complete control, my power is being restricted by the Valley of Dead Magic. I should be able to do more than this . I know I am able to do more than this." She closed her eyes before reopening them. "But this doesn't mean I'm out of options." Suddenly, a cosmic power started flowing out of her body, that being the power of the Rift. "If my magic is too diminished here, then I'll just have to borrow the power of the Rift!"
The power she was emitting was enough to cause the ground beneath her to crack. The wind picked up speed, blowing wildly around her. Shining Armor felt a chill run down his spine as he watched this display of power.
"Twily! No!" Shining Armor yelled, running towards her. But it was too late.
"Now...Kartana!" Twilight Luminaria shouted, opening her eyes as they glowed with a blinding light. Her entire body was now surrounded by the same white light that was emanating from Kartana earlier. "Slash!" She cried out, her voice distorted and echoing throughout the room.
The entire room began to shake as Kartana charged forward at Aegislash, his blades glowing with a brilliant light. Kartana's movements were so fast that it was nearly impossible to keep track of him. He moved like a blur, closing the distance between himself and his opponent in an instant.
"Shield!" Aegislash cried out as he raised his shield, hoping to block Kartana's attack. But it was no use. Kartana was too fast. He slashed at Aegislash with such force that it caused the room to shake violently.
The impact from Kartana's attack had also caused the room to begin to collapse around them. The walls cracked and crumbled as the ceiling came crashing down.
Shining Armor stood in shock as he watched the scene unfold before him. Suddenly, a cosmic energy would flood the area, stunning Shining Armor. His body was engulfed by a white light as he felt himself being lifted off the ground. When the light faded, he found himself floating in mid-air, surrounded by Rift particles.
"Ngh..." However, due to her magic being diminished, it was taking a lot of Twilight Luminaria's power to use the Rift Magic. "Now for this..." She had one other power source at her disposal. One she could rely on. "No matter what, this will bypass the power of the Valley of Dead Magic...because one half of it isn't magic."
She was obviously referring to Twilight Sparkle's exclusive Z-Crystal. The Twilightium Z. One part Twilight's magic and the other part Arceus's Divine Power. With this, she would be able to unleash the Harmonic Twilight Starblaze, but only at half power. But that was good enough for her.
Twilight Luminaria's body started glowing with the same light that surrounded Kartana before. Her horn began to emit a bright light as she channeled the energy from Twilight Sparkle's Z-Crystal.
"This should be enough." She said as her eyes began glowing, harnessing the Divine Power from within. Golden sparkles started flowing out as Twilight Luminaria moved her hooves around in two different ways. The motion of water, swishing from left to right as well as making an arch shape with her hooves. After making the arch, she then spread her wings out as they became apart of the pose too. The Queen of Unilgiht had then put both her hooves forward.
"A-Aegis...!" Aegislash was struggling to recover as it looked like he wouldn't have enough time to defend Shining Armor and himself from the incoming attack.
"You could only hold me back for so long. Even when weakened, I reign supreme! So kindly! Get out of my sigh-" But then, a shock ran through her body as her heart would pulsate. Her pupils dilated as that same golden Divine Light actually harmed. "GH! GAAAAAAAH! NOOOOOO!" Twilight Luminaria's body was enveloped in the white light, a blast of energy surrounding her as she cried out in pain.
Her body convulsed and thrashed around violently, her mane and tail changing to white as the golden sparkles were now flowing out of her horn. Her eyes had also turned from violet to white and she started to foam at the mouth. The cosmic power flowing out of her was causing the entire area to shake.
The floor beneath her cracked and shattered as pieces of it flew up into the air. The ceiling began to crumble, falling down on top of them. Kartana, who was still charging at Aegislash, stopped in his tracks as he looked at the scene before him.
The white light coming from Twilight Luminaria was so bright that it was almost blinding to look at. The wind blew wildly around her as she screamed in agony. Kartana was paralyzed with fear, unable to move.
"What is this...Wait!" Shining Armor realised what was happening. "It's incompatible with her, because the Twilightium Z is powered by Twilight's bond with Arceus and her Pokemon!"
That was the major setback. It didn't matter if she was able to use half of it. The whole existence of the Twilightium Z was built upon the friendship Twilight had with her Pokemon and the fact that she too was friends with Arceus. But, Twilight Luminaria went against that, meaning by default, the Z-Crystal rejected and attacked her. Shining Armor smiled as he knew that his sister was being protected by Arceus.
"No...not like this...!" Twilight Luminaria could feel herself losing control of the power she was trying to harness. "This isn't over yet!" She tried to push back against the overwhelming power that was coursing through her body. She struggled to stay conscious as she fought to regain control.
She gritted her teeth as her entire body felt like it was on fire. She couldn't take much more of this. The pain was unbearable. She didn't know how much longer she could keep going. The room was still shaking violently as more of the ceiling came crashing down around them. Kartana was still standing in place, paralyzed with fear.
"Thank you, Arceus! Now's my chance! Go, Aegislash! Find the strength in you and use Sacred Sword!"
"A-Aegis...Aegislash...!" Aegislash yelled at the top of his lungs, finding the strength within him to charge at Kartana. Around his bladed body, a blazing energy would form as he was building up a massive Sacred Sword that he'd launch forward.
"I won't...I won't be denied my victory! I'll force it out if I have to!" With her eyes glowing, Twilight Luminaria used her many magical options to try and unleash the attack regardless. "Supreme Healing Magic...will give me what I need!" She cast a magic that had outstanding levels of healing ability, but she also used that power to try and force out the Twilightium Z's power. "Nnngh...!"
She screamed out in pain again as the Twilightium Z's Divine Power reacted to the healing magic, attacking her body. The healing magic would repair her body, but it only caused the Divine Power to attack her even more. This cycle would continue as Twilight Luminaria tried desperately to use the Z-Crystal's power.
"Harmonic Twilight Starblaze!" She finally shouted, causing a huge beam of energy to be released from her body. The energy beam collided with Aegislash's Sacred Sword, creating a huge explosion that eclipsed everyting.
Shining Armor was blown back by the force of the explosion. He crashed into one of the walls, leaving a huge crater in it. His armor was cracked and his shield was broken beyond repair. The entire building was blown apart along with other buildings and areas that were nearby.
As the smoke cleared, Shining Armor and Aegislash were seen lying on the ground, unconscious. Twilight Luminaria was also on the ground, but she was still conscious. Her body was badly injured and she was covered in bruises and cuts. Her mane and tail had returned to normal, as did her eyes. She slowly got up, wincing in pain as she did so.
"Hah..." She took a deep breath before quickly returning Kartana to his Poke Ball. "We can't afford any more losses...This is getting too unfavourable."
She looked over at Shining Armor and Aegislash and saw that they were both knocked out cold. She had no time for them, instead opting to keep moving to shift things back in her favor.
"I need to change things up. First is by getting out of this Universe at once...I'll have to restore my magic with the items in Unilight, before they're too useless to do anything else!" Twilight Luminaria had a new objective. She tossed aside finding Twilight Moonlight, instead opting to take Unilight out of the Valley of Dead Magic. "At least...I shuld try and get the city away from here!" Using her magic, she would try and speak with Grogar via telepathy. "Professor! Can you hear me?!"
"Your Majesty!" Grogar exclaimed, still defending himself from Princess Celestia. Currently, many guards were surrounding him and in front of him, protecting him. "The situation is getting out of control! I wish I had the rest of my magic and-"
"I'm working on it! The best thing to do is to get away from the Valley of Dead Magic!" Twilight Luminaria said, using her magic to create a portal. "Prepare a portal at once! We can't leave this Universe, but we can at least move across its different locations!"
"Understood. But with Princess Celestia on the move that will be-"
"That's fine. It's high-time more than just my soldiers do all the hard work." In Luminaria's words, they needed more than her army to overcome this. She needed overwhelming numbers and Unilight had enough citizens for overwhelming numbers. Using her telepathy once more, the Queen of Unilight would strain herself. This time, she aimed to talk to everyone in Unilight through their minds.
She clenched her teeth as she poured every bit of her magic into this single spell. "All Citizens of Unilight! Hear me!"
"Y-Your Majesty?!" Currently, the citizens were all cowering in fear, not engaging in battle whatsoever.
"Stop hiding...You all can't hide or cower. Not now of all times. You need to retaliate!"
"But Your Majesty! We-"
"No excuses! I know you all are still scared. You're still afraid of Prisma. You're even afraid of Celestia now. And the fact that this area is diminishing the magic doesn't help whatsoever...but I know for a fact you can all change that. Together, you all can do amazing things. Unilight's history has shown and proven that time and time again. So, please, do this! You have the numbers and even though your magic is weaker, with all of you coming together, you can make up for that lack of power. If we want to stop Prisma for good, we need to do it together!"
"Your Majesty...we can't..."
"You can. You all can. Please...just listen to what I say and follow it. Please...for me."
The citizens would listen to Twilight Luminaria, slowly coming out of hiding and standing up tall. They were all looking up at the sky as they began to chant. For their Queen, they would take action. They had the numbers.
Grogar saw this and felt something in his heart. Something he didn't expect to feel. He felt pride. He felt inspired. He knew that the citizens of Unilight were capable of so much. He knew that they could rise up against the Arcane Institute and make a difference. He knew that they could save their lives. He smiled as he watched the citizens begin to gather their strength and prepare for battle.
"Hm?" Celestia raised an eyebrow as she suddenly heard an uproar of voices coming from the other side. "What the...?"
With all the citizens having the spirit and urge to the defend their Queen, they all took out their respective Poke Balls. Their bodies would be surrounded by a brilliant light as their Pokemon would emerge from their Poke Balls, prepared to fight alongside their trainers. Millions upon Millions of Poke Balls flew into the air or flew forward, bringing Pokemon of all kinds and species.
"!!" Celestia looked on in shock as an entire army of Pokemon were appearing left and right. The citizens of Unilight weren't just any random people. They were all powerful trainers who specialized in different Pokemon types and could easily outmatch even the strongest of Pokemon if they work together. The entire area was filled with Pokemon that were ready to fight.
"Oh goodness..." Celestia gasped at the sheer number that was presented to her while Grogar laughed. A total of a billion residents of Unilight were now active for action.
"Ah, what a joyous moment this is!" Grogar laughed. "I might not even need my Arcane Institute for this! I doubt even you can take on entire Supernation's population, Celestia. Even though they aren't at their best, this many numbers can still be a massive threat!"
Celestia grit her teeth while Grogar continued to laugh. The shouts of Unilight's people kept getting louder as they kept mustering up the courage to fight. The air was filled with a mixture of excitement and fear as everyone was preparing to take on One Light.
But as these voices would roar louder, filling the entire city and the surrounding area, right now, while being protected and carried by Passion's Psychic hold, something was happening to Ash and his unconscious counterparts. Their bodies were faintly glowing as Ash's hands started twitching. Ash was beginning to wake up, but it was more than that.
The bodies of his counterparts started glowing, while his was not.
Twilight Luminaria entered a certain room. A room that would fill her with magic to give her a neccessary boost. And in that room, many bottles containing magic-filled liquid.
"The Magi-Infusion Flasks. I can refill myself with the power of these. One drink won't do...but multiple..." She said to herself when looking at the bottles. "it's risky. Drinking multiple has always been a huge risk huge reward type of situation. But I should have the capability to withstand it!" Not wasting any more time, she would pick up a bottle and drink the liquid.
But, after she drank the bottle, her body reacted negatively to it as it started glowing and pulsating. The white light from before was present and it was attacking her from the inside out.
"Gah!" She coughed up some magic as she felt her body burning up. "Ngh...this is just the first one. I'm sure I'll be able to handle it..." She said to herself as she reached for another bottle. She opened it up and took another sip. "Ugh...!" She winced in pain as she felt a sharp pain in her chest.
Her body started glowing even brighter than before as she collapsed onto the floor. Her breathing was heavy and her body was sweating profusely.
"No...no! I need...to...keep going!" Twilight Luminaria forced herself to get back up and reach for another bottle. She drank it all in one gulp before collapsing onto the floor again. "Damn it!" She shouted in frustration as she tried to force herself to stand. "I...I can't give up! I have to keep fighting! I have to keep going!"
She got back up and reached for another bottle. As soon as she drank the contents, her body started glowing even more violently than before. Her horn was shining brightly and her wings were flapping rapidly. She tried to force herself to remain standing, but her legs gave out from under her.
"Ngh...ugh...!" Twilight Luminaria groaned in pain as she clutched her chest tightly. Her heart was pounding rapidly inside of her chest, causing her to feel lightheaded. "This...this isn't good..."
She looked around the room and saw that there were still many bottles left on the shelves. She knew that she had to keep going and try to drink as many as possible. However, she knew that if she kept drinking them like this, she would eventually be pushed beyond her limits and perish.
Twilight Luminaria clenched her teeth tightly and forced herself to reach out towards another bottle. She grabbed it and brought it up to her lips. She drank all of its contents in one gulp before collapsing onto the ground once more.
She took deep breaths as so many forms of magic were now flowing within her body, reacting to each other violently and causing her great pain. Her eyes rolled back into her head as her body went limp on the floor.
An array of magic would aggressively fly out of her body, whipping around and thrashing the place while Twilight Luminaria laid there, twitching uncontrollably. Like a furious storm, the magic was tearing the room and building apart.
However, it was starting to calm down and find its footing. All that magic was balancing itself out, giving Twilight Luminaria time to recover as she finally rose up. She took heavy and deep breaths as magic would crackle out of her body like lightning. She was now covered in a white aura that had golden sparks flying off her body.
Her eyes had turned white with violet pupils and she was smiling widely. She felt her strength return as she stood tall and proud. She felt powerful. Even if it was temporary thanks to the Valley of Dead Magic. She felt unstoppable. She wasn't about to waste this opportunity.
"Oh yes...This is perfect."
As the journey continues.
