My Little Pokémon: Grander World

Galar. The Crown Tundra. Nightfall.

When attempting to reach the Crown Shrine, standing before them was Galarian Zapdos. It stared the group down, standing in their way while a conflict near Freezington was happening.

"No...That's Galarian Zapdos, right?!" Ash spoke.

"How unfortunate that it happened to come across of all times...!" Calyrex narrowed his eyes as Zapdos cawed at them, electricty crackling out of its body. "Whereas Articuno is cruel, this one is combative. We must not engage him in a fight or else we'll lose track of time and the Arcane Insitute will catch us."

Easier said than done since Zapdos was very much targeting them all specifically. With a loud caw, the bird would start charging at them. It was just a straight on tackle, aimed to harm them. Thankfully, the four would be able to avoid the attack, though it was still close, causing a wave of electricity to wash over the group, making them yelp in pain.

"Oww! That stung!" Sci-Twi whimpered as her body trembled from the shock. Ash held out his Pokedex, gathering data on the few foe before them all.

"Zapdos. The Strong Legs Pokemon. Galarian Variant. When its feathers rub together, they produce a crackling sound like the zapping of electricity. That’s why this Pokémon is called Zapdos. One kick from its powerful legs will pulverize a dump truck. Supposedly, this Pokémon runs through the mountains at over 180 mph."

Zapdos then leapt into the air, attempting to dive-kick them with its two talons, aiming to knock them down to the ground below. It missed, but the impact would shake the ground, throwing Sci-Twi off balance and falling on her behind.

"If you're gonna be in our way, then fine!" Ash was ready to try and get Zapdos out of the way. It wouldn't be that easy just ignoring it.

"Hey, Ash! Have one of my Pokemon go out for a spin!" Suddenly, speaking to him and appearing as a spirit was Lucas, "Give Infernape a chance, yeah?"

"Good idea, Lucas!" He gave the boy a thumbs-up, who vanished after that, giving him a chance to pull out his Pokeball and summon a new friend. "Infernape, I choose you!"

"Infernape!"

"Let's make this quick! Use Close Combat!"

"Infernape!" Ash ordered, and his fire monkey would leap to the skies, meeting the diving Zapdos in midair and using his fists and feet to deliver a flurry of strikes at the bird, trying to break its defenses and bring the fight to an end. Alas, that wasn't the case, and Zapdos would retaliate by grabbing Infernape's wrists, spinning him around and throwing him towards a tree, crashing and breaking through the trunk from the momentum, the tree collapsing.

"Nape!" Infernape leapt back into action, leaping through the air to meet his opponent. Zapdos would be struck in the face by a fiery fist, sending it down. However, Zapdos managed to recover on its own two feet.

After recovering, Zapdos would unleash a move that was its own. A move known as Thunderous Kick. With electricity gathering around its talons, the Galarian Legendary would leap into the air at great speeds, forcing everyone to look up and witness its attack. Before any of them could react, the lightning covered bird would fly back down, slamming its foot onto the field and releasing a torrent of electricity that would travel to the entire ground below, striking all four targets.

"I-INFER!" Infernape grimaced, feeling all those volts aggressively bombard his body. Ash too would feel it as Calyrex would use his power to protect Sci-Twi and Pikachu from harm, but was unable to reach Ash in time. Both trainer and pokemon would shout in agony, as the electricity would cause their bodies to become paralyzed from how much energy was surging through their systems, and would drop to the ground in pain.

"ASH!" Sci-Twi cried out, attempting to run over, only for the electricity to be within a certain area, forcing her to stay back in fear.

"Man..." Ash held onto his arm while feeling the shock. Infernape would slid against the snow, shaking his head. But Zapdos's attack wasn't done yet. It went in for another Thunderous Kick, this time, up close. The Strong Legs Pokemon would launch itself at the Flame Pokemon, kicking him straight in the chest.

"Infernape...!" Infernape groaned, feeling the roar power behind Zapdos's leg strike him. The bird didn't let him breathe, unleashing a series of rapid kicks and scratches, leaving nothing but brutal impacts on the fire monkey's body.

Infernape tried to fight back, raising his arms to block and guard, but Zapdos was simply outpacing him, not letting him get a single hit in. Everytime he would attempt a counterattack, he would miss, allowing the Galarian Bird to strike him in the abdomen or the chest, or even the chin with an uppercut. All while the electricity was building and growing in strength, making him scream out in pain.

"This isn't working! Infernape! Use Acrobatics!"

"Nape!" But Infernape could evade this. As soon as another kick came in, his body lit up with a white energy, allowing him to flip out of the way of the kick. As he leapt away, Galarian Zapdos went after him right away, running at high speeds.

Infernape would continue to do an assortment of agile flips and jumps, avoiding the attacks of Galarian Zapdos. But the Lightning Wings Pokemon was relentless, not wanting to give him a second of breathing room. At the same time, the electric charge would keep on getting bigger and stronger, making him feel the burning in his body and his muscles becoming tense.

"We can't advance like this!" Calyrex exclaimed. "Zapdos is far too tenacious to ignore. He'll only come after us the moment we turn our backs on him. His pride will allow for nothing less!"

"But what can we do?" Sci-Twi had a worried look on her face. "We can't waste anymore time. If the Professor's minions catch up to us and stop us, then..."

"Don't worry. We'll beat him. Right, buddy?" Ash looked to his Infernape, who nodded in response. However, his body was starting to hurt a bit. Even with Acrobatics, that didn't stop the electricity from taking its toll. He'd have to end things quickly, especially if they wanted to get to the Crown Shrine. Who knows how long the rest of the group would hold out. They had to hurry. He couldn't fail. He refused to. For the sake of his friends. And the world. "Infernape! Go!"

The Flame Pokemon roared in agreement. With his fighting spirit rising, the flame on his head would intensify, and the flames on his limbs would glow brightly. Then, in a flash, the Flame Pokemon would vanish. In his place would be a burst of flames and a trail of them in the air. This was his ability, Blaze, which would increase his firepower in a pinch.

"Use Flare Blitz!"

"Infernape!" Infernape would then unleash a powerful Flare Blitz, lighting his entire body in a massive blue inferno that would travel across the air. It prompted Galarian Zapdos to jump into the air to try and intercept him. But as soon as Zapdos met Infernape in the sky, it was struck by a pre-emptive punch to the face, staggering the Strong Legs Pokemon for a moment. Zapdos would descend as Infernape would come shooting down like a rocket.

However, he would miss his attack, but he didn't stop the momentum. To try and beat Zapdos, he had to put the pressure on himself. After jumping out of the way, Zapdos latched its feet onto a mountain, rocketing over towards Infernape like a missile. However, Infernape would block the incoming Zapdos with one arm, allowing the two to clash in the middle of a snowy wasteland. They both unleashed a powerful burst of their respective energies, causing a huge explosion and dust storm to engulf the battlefield.

"We'll use this as a way to try and advance! As long as Infernape can keep it busy!" Calyres said.

The force of the collision would push Infernape backwards, digging his heels into the dirt to prevent him from being blown away. Meanwhile, Zapdos was still airborne, hovering in the air, its eyes fixed on the opponent. Its electric wings fluttered in the wind, and the lightning surges that emanated from its body grew in intensity and volume, transforming the serene landscape into an electrifying arena. The snowflakes that fell from the skies were immediately vaporized when they came into contact with the charged atmosphere surrounding the Pokémon.

But this was used to the advantage of Ash and the others. They would run off while Zapdos was in the heat of battle, counting on Infernape to keep him busy. Zapdos noticed this and tried going after them, only for Infernape to chase it down. He wasn't about to let the Legendary slow them down. Not now.

"Keep it busy, Infernape! You can do it!" Ash cheered him on while running, prompting the Flame Pokemon to redouble his efforts.

They battled across the snowy landscape while the group kept running, their clash sending shockwaves that would break rocks and scatter snow. The light that was released from the colliding forces would create a blinding glow that illuminated the area around them, cutting a path through the once-pristine wilderness.

Meanwhile, as Mew had Dynamaxed, standing in the way of Alpha's team, the clash near Freezington would commence. All the massive Pokemon from the Arcane Institute were rapidly approaching while Dynamax Mew readied himself.

"Okay, Mew! We only have three turns like this! So let's cheat the system! Turn into someone even bigger! You know what to do!" Pinkie Pie screeched.

"MEW-MEW!" Mew certainly did. Upon hearing this, Applejack and the others would screeched, shaking their heads.

"Are ya crazy, Pinkie?!" Applejack bellowed. "If ya let Mew turn into Wailord, that'l do a heck of a lot damage to us too!"

"Yes Wailord plus an already Dynamaxed Mew is asking for trouble!" Rarity stated, her eyes open and her body quivering. "Who's to say that we won't get caught in the destruction?"

"Oh, good point!"

"You're wide open! Gyarados! Hyper Beam!" Alpha ordered.

"GYARA!" The Massive Gyarados would gather a plethora of Infinity Energy before firing a destructive hyper beam from his mouth as it approached Mew.

"Now, Mew!"

"MEW!" Mew would take the form of another Pokemon. He would start glowing, his body letting out a glorious light as he transformed into a Pokemon much larger than him, effectively increasing the Dynamax. Out of the light emerged Magnezone and thanks to its Stel-Typing, Hyper Beam practically meant nothing. The beam crashed into him and the ground shook a bit, but the Steel-Type was able to shrug it off.

The Pokemon from One Light would start bombarding Mew as Magnezone from afar, their attacks flying in the air. But the sheer size of Magnezone was enough to deal with most of them and anything that did hit the Pokemon was negligible. However, Mew obviously couldn't take the attacks forever, so he neded support.

"It's your turn! Spinda!" Pinkie Pie threw a Poke Ball into the air. And landing on Magnezone's head was Spinda.

"Spinda!"

"Give us something good! Use Metronome!"

"Spin! Spin!" Just then, Spinda would begin moving its arms in a circular motion. As a result, it got a random move to utilize. "Da!" The move in question was Thunder. It's fingers snapped and the skies above started to change, turning dark and cloudy. Then the sound of thunder would boom and lightning would come striking down on everyone on the field, electrocuting the whole place and frying the Pokemon on Alpha's side.

The Gyarados felt this the most, having been super effective. Gyarados was about to fall, prompting Alpha to jump off it, leaping towards to the next Pokemon nearby, which was a Rhyperior.

"As if you'll get the better of us. Go, Talonflame!" Alpha threw a Pokéball and a massive Talonflame emerged.

"Talonflame!"

"Flame Charge!"

"Lon!" Talonflame approached with a blazing body, charging at a high speed, reaching Magnezone in seconds. The impact was something to be felt as it actually managed to push Magnezone pack, forcing Pinkie Pie and Spinda to hold on for dear life. However, the force wasn't enough to knock anyone over, and Magnezone was able to endure it.

"Transform again!"

"MAGNE!" Mew would take on another form once Talonflame came in for a second attack. When the Flame Pokemon tried to strike a second time, its opponent had taken on the shape of a Claydol, who would endure the incoming Flame Charge. The goal here was to use Type Advantages to the best of their abilities. But against the onslaught, she could only do so much. She would need a plan that would allow her and the others to take the advantage. "CLAY!"

"I see what you're trying to do. But you won't succeed. Talonflame! Rhyperior! Use-" But Alpha was cut off when multiple large and thick roots suddenly soared through the sky, wrapping around Druddigon, Rhyperior, and Gyarados. These roots were coming from the woods below, and were extremely sturdy. No matter how hard the Pokemon struggled, they couldn't break free. Alpha would notice this and narrow her gaze at the forest, knowing where the attack was originating from.

Applejack's Sceptile, of course. But not just that, he was already Mega Evolved, ensuring maximum restraint with his Frenzy Plant. As the roots held them back, it allowed the other Pokemon to advance. Already, Rarity's Pheromosa and Fluttershy's Raboot were running on the vines to approach the opposing Pokemon, the latter's feet burning brightly. But behind them were the Pokemon of the other members of One Light, moving across the vines as well.

"High Jump Kick!" Both Fluttershy and Rarity said, prompting Raboot and Pheromosa to leap from the vines. They approached Rhyperior and Druddigon respectively. From there, the two unleashed a barrage of powerful High Jump Kicks, targeting their foes' weak spots. With the first one, the two were forced to fight through the pain. But by the second, the combination of the damage sustained from before, the Super Effective nature of the Fighting Move on Rhyperior, and the fact that they were unable to dodge made the difference.

Raboot and Phermosa would flip in the air and land on the ground, standing in front of the Pokemon that were knocked down onto their backs. From there, they turned to the remaining opponents, ready to continue.

"Roserade! Power Whip!" Roseluck chimed in.

"Roserade!" Raising both her arms, she generated two massive and strong-looking green whips on her hands and used them to strike the enemy, binding and attacking at the same time. Her targets were a Tyranitar, a Krookodile, and an Excadrill. She'd bind the first two while using her other whip to slam her fists on the face of the Rock, Steel and Ground-Type, making it stumble. The grass would eventually fade away from her enemies, allowing the Rock and Dark-Type Pokemon to gain their bearings, but that wouldn't last long.

"You won't get the better of me! Not this time!" Alpha refused as her eyes would glow. Using the magic within her along with the Betas and Zetas, the group of Soul Clones would send a flow of magical energy towards the Pokemon. The combined power would enhance the offensive and defensive capabilities of the Pokemon on their side, and increase the effectiveness of their attacks.

Druddigon, who was stronger than ever, would get back up immediately as if nothing had happened. When getting back up, with a tremendous roar, the Cave Pokemon would swing its tail, kicking up a plethora of snow. All the snow it struck would ascend, making a Snow Tidal Wave that was heading straight for the group. This would force them to defend themselves.

"Champ!" But all it took was Big Mac's Machamp to clap all four of his hands together, pushing forward an enormous burst of air that sent the tidal wave of snow back at the Cave Pokemon, covering it in all of that snow.

"DRUDD?!" Druddigon snarled at this, feeling the cold snow against its body. The Soul Clones chimed in once more, using their magic to expel the snow from Druddigon. But they didn't just expel it from the Cave Pokemon, they would weaponize the snow themselves, turning them into sharp icicles. With a gesture from Alpha, the icicles were launched, soaring through the air.

"Audino!" Using Protect, Audino would shield everyone else from harm. She'd create a barrier around herself, and the icicles would crash on the shield, shattering upon impact.

"I'm already tired of you all." Alpha had enough, wanting them out of the way at once. So, she utilized the magic within heronce more. In this case, the union of Sombra and Galela's magic. Her body would taken on a shadowy appearance as her size started increasing, as if she herself was Dynamaxing. Eventually, her sheer size was comparable to the rest of the massive Pokemon and Dynamaxed Mew.

"Woah nelly..." Applejack and the other members of One Light stared at awe, backing up and bracing themselves.

"Sweet Celestia..." Pinkie Pie's jaw dropped, and even the pink pony's comedic nature wouldn't save her from the might of a giant Alpha.

Alpha would look down on her adversaries. Her eyes would flash a dark hue, creating a stream of shadows that would rise from the ground. The darkness would take the shape of various monstrous creatures, from the Shadow Hydras to the Demonic Beasts. They were not physical, merely projections, but their very presence would cause those around the area to experience fear and sorrow, slowing their actions and causing their hearts to sink. And these monsters were headed straight at the group, aiming to tear their wills to pieces.

"You're already close to failure. Ash Ketchum and Victor are the only two souls in the world left. The rest have merged into Ash Ketchum, making them easier to pick out in one go. I'd suggest surrendering while you have the chance." Alpha spoke to them, her voice elevated and echoing across the cold area. "But...I know better than to expect anything else from you. You're all so stubborn when it comes to defending him."

"So are you! Well, Kimia is! Give her back to us already!" Pinkie Pie barked. "Raleigh misses his sister!"

"!!" Upon hearing that name, a tiny part of Alpha would flinch, her expression softening slightly. However, her mind has been altered to ensure that Raleigh meant nothing to the Kimia part in her. The part that loves her brother. Granted, the fact that she still flinched annoyed her a bit.

"Forget your words." Alpha would hold her hand out, looking at each of them. "And perish." From her hand, an untold darkness would start manifesting as the creatures she summoned would started attacking.

"Alright! Time to use a move, Mew! Use Max Mindstorm!"

"CLAY!" As Claydol, Mew would finally waste one part of his Dynamax Energy. Around his body, a spiral of Psychic Energy would be created, expanding and extending, taking the shapes of a faces with smiles on them. The energy would clash with Alpha's Dark Wave, and the two forces would push against each other.

The night skies would light up with a Dark and Pink color, a battle between a colossal Pokémon and a gigantic human. On the surface below, the other battles were raging, the Pokemon of One Light's and their allies clashing against the many that were controlled by the Soul Clones. It was a hectic and brutal affair, neither side giving the other the upper-hand at any given moment.

The people of Freezington looked out of their windows in awe at this massive battle in the distance. But as this clash raged on, Alpha actually used this to her advantage. Using her mastery of shadows, she would end up using the massive version of herself as a husk, seperating herself from it. She moved through the shadows as a tiny wisp of darkness, using it to sneak away.

She was able to bypass the others expertly, going unnoticed in the shadows thanks to the way she could blend in and her amazing speed. However, only one individual was able to sense her. In this case, it was Applejack, using her Aura to do so.

"Ah!" The earth pony gasped, promptly galloping after her. "Hey! Get back here!"

"Applejack?!" Rarity looked back at Applejack suddenly rushing off, trying to pursue the speedy shadow. Sceptile would soon notice Applejack's departure, wasting no time in following her.

This whole time, Ash, Sci-Twi, Calyrex, and Pikachu kept moving towards the location of the Crown Shrine, having Infernape defend them every step of the way. Infernape and Zapdos would not stop clashing with each distance covered, their powers increasing to a great degree. Both the flames and the electricity would grow, to a point where the fire became more of a blazing inferno and the lightning a bright blue. The two would struggle to overpower the other, their strength growing at an equal rate. This would force their users to keep running, avoiding the projectiles coming from their battle. Sometimes the fire would get to them, or the electricity would come too close for comfort. Still, they kept on running, making sure not to get distracted.

"Just a bit further, everyone!" Calyrex shouted, his concentration on the crown allowing him to ignore the fighting. However, his eyes would widen as he had a vision. A vision of the future. A future that was rather close.

Approaching rapidly was Alpha, who moved through the shadows of the Crown Tundra, and was not far from her target. Applejack was on Sceptile's back, who was using his vines to swimg from place to place, the two of them keeping up.

"Once we get your strength back to its peak, Calyrex...We'll be able to bring the soul problem to an end!" Sci-Twi said with a joyous expression. It was all almost over, and then they could return home peacefully.

But Alpha would not allow it.

Once she caught up by using the shadows, she would manifest out of her wisp form, emerging as her normal self, lunging through the air with darkness trailing out of her.

"Look out!" Seeing the danger coming, Calyrex would try and save them, using Psychic to do so. He grabbed their bodies with his mind, throwing them out of the way. But at a cost. As the trio were thrown aside, Alpha and the darkness around her would come into contact with Calyrex.

"Calyrex!" They both yelled at this surprise attack. No matter what, Alpha caught up, just like before. She always finds a way to reach her targets, no matter the location.

And with it, came the sudden collision into Calyrex, albeit, by pure accident. But right now, the last thing they needed was for Calyrex to be harmed.
