The Worst Outcome Approaches

Galar. The Crown Tundra. Nightfall.

In an attempt to strike at Ash with her darkness, Alpha ended up colliding with Calyrex instead. The King Pokemon had saved him by throwing him and Sci-Twi away at the right time.

"CALYREX!" Sci-Twi yelled, seeing the King of Bountiful Harvests being attacked. But there was a catch to it.

"What?!" Alpha wasn't aiming to collide into him, being caught off guard by this. Calyrex had one eye twitch as the darkness from Alpha, which was intended for Ash, would soon start messing with his body. It was a volatile darkness, and it would enter his body.

Ash and Sci-Twi looked onwards while on the ground, watching the darkness swirl and lash out in the sky. Alpha actually tried retracting since she didn't want Calyrex, but to her shock, she couldn't. The darkness would not leave the King's body.

"I...I can't retract!" Alpha gasped.

"I had to think quick on my feet...!" Calyrex groaned while putting on a light smirk, the darkness continuing to swirl. "I may lack all of my power, but I still have a bit of psychic ability. And that's what I used to trap you!"

"You crafty little...!" Alpha's face paled, and her eyes widened in horror, realizing that she was in trouble. All of that potent darkness, the culmination of Sombra's magic that was meant to weaken and destroy the souls of the boy, were lashing out within Calyrex's body. The King of Bountiful Harvest's grin would slowly fade as his entire body started shaking.

"You fool. What have you done?!" Alpha demanded an answer to this, trying to find a way to get out. Calyrex's body was like a beacon of energy, a living machine that would process the darkness and take it in, not letting any escape. Because of his current weakened state, that meant the magic would be bouncing around, unable to be fully processed.

Instead, the darkness would just continue to bounce around, hitting the same walls of his mind that he put up, until those very barriers would break. Eventually, he'd lose his control, and the darkness would flow freely. And the result of that, well...the world would be at a loss. If he could not contain the volatile darkness, then the results would be disastrous.

"Calyrex!" Ash and Sci-Twi cried out to him as Calyrex would keel over, feeling the pain.

"Infer-" Infernape tried rushing over, only for Zapdos to hold him back, biting his leg. "Nape?!"

"King of the Sea...Empress...You must go." Calyrex said to them as the darkness kept smashing within his body. "Flee from here!"

"But Calyrex!" Sci-Twi bellowed.

"It's clear that things are spiralling out of control. Go to the Crown Shrine yourselves. Or even...run elsewhere for safety!" Calyrex shouted out, wanting them to be safe. "I want to fulfil my promise to you both. I want to bring an end to the Prisma situation just as much as anyone else. But your safety is what ensures that and you must make it happen."

"But we can't leave you! You need to reunite with Spectrier and-" Sci-Twi shouted out once more, trying to reason with him.

"Stubborn Pokemon...!" Alpha shouted as some of her darkness was flying out aggressively. Like a hurricane, it would whip around the snowy area, causing strong wind pressures while also hitting both Infernape and Zapdos at the same time, stopping their fight. Sceptile and Applejack tried getting close, only to be fended off by the shadows. "Appear! Gardevoir!"

One of the shadows would summon a Poke Ball and out of it emerged Alpha's Gardevoir. "Gardevoir!"

"You must go I promise on my life that I will help you! Whether it's sooner or la-" Calyrex's words were cut off as his pupils dilated. The darkness within him was too powerful and was starting to take him over. His mouth opened and a black smoke came out. It would soon start spreading across the field. No. Across the entirety of the Crown Tundra, a blanket of smoky clouds that would darken the sky, turning the blue sky into a murky purple. The people of the island were confused, and some were horrified at the change of atmosphere.

"Wh-what's going on?!" Sci-Twi was terrified at the sight before her, witnessing Calyrex's body being overtaken by the dark magic of the Soul Clone. This wasn't right. None of this was supposed to be happening. Yet it was. She didn't know what to do. But Ash did.

"Come on, Twilight!" He grabbed his hand, running for it.

"But! What about Calyrex?!"

"Calyrex wants us to be safe, so we gotta keep our promise!" Ash rushed onwards with Pikachu right next to him. Infernape punched Zapdos's face forcing it off before soon following Ash, Sci-Twi and Pikachu. "I know he'll keep his promise, no matter what!"

"Voir!" Gardevoir wasn't about to let them escape. Using Dazzling Gleam while flying, she would start raining down magical energy upon the group, intending to subdue them and capture them.

Rainbow rays started crashing down against the snowy landscape, blending in well with the darkness that Alpha was spreading. The darkness would keep going, reaching many corners of the Crown Tundra. Including the Crown Shrine itself. At the peak at where it stood, the Crown Shrine would be engulfed in darkness.

Ash and Sci-Twi saw this as a huge avalanche from the Crown Shrine would appear thanks to this aggressive darkness. Soon, the duo and their Pokemon would see a giant wave of snow coming their way, being pushed forward by the intense shadowy winds.

The Crown Shrine itself would be masked by the darkness as more snow kept falling while Gardevoir approached. "Infer!" However, Infernape would smash his fist against Gardevoir's face, interrupting her next attack, knocking her away!

"G-Garde!"

Alpha would move through the shadows once more, pursuing the duo. Zapdos did the same, rapidly running on the ground, the two unintentionally working together to pursue their prey.

"Hm?" Alpha noticed how they were rather focused on the Crown Shrine, constantly looking up at it and taking pathways that only led to it. "I see..." She knew that it was important in some way. Thus, she would put a stop to it. Her body emerged from the shadows as she started growing in size once more, taking on a shadowy form.

She grew and grew, spreading her darkness more and more. Ash and Sci-Twi then looked up to see Alpha grow to a point where she was taller than the mountains themselves. Her body would become distorted, a tall, thin and lengthy human shadow that was still recognizable.

"The Crown Shrine!" Ash gasped, realizing what Alpha was about to do.

"Whatever you have, I'll make sure its completely null and void." Declaring this, Alpha would move her hand, spraying darkness onto the mountain, showering it in bleakness. Every part of it would be masked in the shadows, and the Crown Shrine would be completely overshadowed, followed by a dark outburst.

Ash and Sci-Twi watched on in shock as a black smoke would rise, being so thick that they couldn't even see the Crown Shrine's location anymore. But from how powerful the outburst was, Alpha had most likely figuratively and literally crushed it.

"No..." Sci-Twi shuddered as Alpha soon turned her attention the duo with glowing eyes.

"Now for you." She would approach, her massive legs leaving craters in the ground, a testament to her current strength. The darkness would lash out from her, creating violent waves of wind that pushed Ash and Sci-Twi back.

"Tile!" However, right as she went to grab them, Mega Sceptile's large roots would wrap around her arms, holding her in place. "Scep...!"

"Applejack!" Ash turned to see Applejack and Sceptile approaching. Sceptile dug his feet into the ground, using all of his might to try and hold Alpha in place, preventing her from moving.

"This way!" Applejack called out to them to run in a certain direction. Alpha would growl, using the darkness to rapidly consume the roots, eating away at them. Once the roots were destroyed, she would quickly turn to look in the direction that Applejack pointed, opening her mouth to breath out flames of darkness.

"Tile!" Mega Sceptile summoned another set of vines, but these ones were wrapped around himself, Applejack, Sci-Twi, her counterparts and their Pokemon. Using his brute strength, he swung everyone forward, narrowly avoiding the flames that scorched the ground behind them, melting the snow and ice and making the earth below seem to fall apart.

They kept moving with Infernape jumping from place to place to keep up while Zapdos was not too far behind. They were truly dealing with two massive threats who weren't even properly working together, just attacking to get what they wanted.

"What now, Ash?! The Crown Shrine! Calyrex...!" Sci-Twi lowered her head.

"We find Victor! That's what!" Ash declared.

"Are you sure?!"

"Positive! We'll be back for Calyrex! We won't let him down and we'll repay him, no matter what!"

"But how are going to find Victor?!"

"Leave that to us." Two spirits would emerge from Ash, floating next to him. That being Ethan and Nate.

"I recently got his number on my Xtransceiver, so we can call him!" Nate pointed to himself.

"And I know the place he loves to hang out in. And it helps that it's already in Galar." Ethan added on, pointing to himself.

"So, don't worry, Twilight. We got this." Ash reassured her as he kept on running, eventually getting near a forest of trees.

"Quick! Hide in here, partner!" Applejack said, rushing into the woods with the others. Alpha and Zapdos would follow suite, only to be stopped by a barrage of rocks and other objects caused by Alpha's own avalanche.

"You think you can hide?!" Alpha's voice would yell as Gardevoir would close her eyes, attempting to sense the group's presence, to lock onto their energy. Eventually, she would open her eyes, having found their location. Pointing to their position, Alpha would breathe out flames of darkness once more, lighting the entire woodland area on fire in a blaze of darkness. The fires would rage on and on, spreading to every corner of the woodlands, yet there were no screams or cries of pain. In fact, nobody appeared to be inside the raging inferno at all.

"Where did you go?" Alpha's form would shrink, returning to her normal height. She walked on the ground, inspecting the burning forest. It was clear that they were gone. Did they teleport away?

"Voir! Gardevoir!" Gardevoir managed to find them.

"Ah, so that's where you are. In that case...I'll use this." Alpha put her hands together, closing her eyes as she prepared something. Something fierce. "With the power of the Umbrum on one hand...and the Ancient Spirits that are long gone on the other..." She chanted, beginning to merge the two magic sources once more.

The Darkness and Light would start spiralling, and the sky would turn a bright purple and the ground would turn a deep black. The sky and the land were in conflict, and the world seemed to warp and distort, shaking the souls of those who resided in the Crown Tundra. It was such a horrifying feeling that could not be described in words, but in a single emotion. Fear. Pure fear. As if the whole world were coming to an end.

Alpha was mainly doing this just to find them. Zapdos came to a halt, looking up at Alpha and finally acknolwedging her existence instead of just chasing after Ash and Sci-Twi. It simply observed, watching the magic flow on both sides of her palms, not interfering at all.

The entirety of the Crown Tundra saw it. From those in Freezington and near Freezington, to those on the outskirts of the Crown Tundra such as Nightmare Moon's team. Even the Legendary Birds. Everyone was at a standstill, watching the phenomenon.

Unilight.

"!" And at the same time, Twilight Luminaria's eyes would open as her body was finally fully healed. But more than that, her magic had been replenished now that she was back in the main universe. And with her eyes opened, a bright sparkle came from it, piercing the skies of the Crown Tundra.

"I feel it..." Twilight Luminaria said as she took a step forward. It wasn't Alpha's power she was feeling. It was something else. "It's near...Which means...Galaxy Master has done it."

The Dimensional Space. Twilight Wish's Castle.

What she referred to was Galaxy Master's mission. Within the Dimension-hopping castle, Twilight Wish was running for her life from all these Pokemon of Galaxy Master. The castle was a mess thanks to the number of Pokemon that had been summoned inside the interior of the structure, and it was all in the name of finding her.

"Meowscarada! Use Dark Pulse!" Twilight Wish cried out.

"Meow!" Holding her arms out, Meowscarada would unleash a ball of dark energy that split apart into smaller beams of energy, shooting at the incoming horde of Pokemon. Despite the attack hitting, many Pokemon would shake the blow off and rush towards the duo, not caring about their well-being.

"Lycan!" A Lycanroc leapt in from the side with its fangs bared. It aimed to bite down on Meowscarada's neck, only for her to swiftly move out of the way and deliver a powerful kick to Lycanroc's face, slamming its head against a wall.

"Gli!" Flying past Lycanroc were Gliscor, Noivern and Staraptor, aiming their attacks at Meowscarada and Twilight Wish. "Gliaaaaaaaaaaahh!"

"Ngh!" Twilight Wish unleashed a flare of magic to repel them, but in the process, they were surrounded on both sides by other Pokémon. From Tyranitar, Cradily and Lurantis to Salazzle, Flygon and Drapion, they were trapped in the middle.

To say she was fighting for her life was an understatement. Her Meowscarada, Tinkaton and Pawmot were doing their best to keep the horde of creatures at bay, but it was clear that they were struggling to stay alive. Every second that passed, the danger grew greater, and the hope of survival diminished.

She was a sitting duck, a target in the crosshairs of the relentless onslaught of Pokémon. Each swipe, every bite and pounce was a reminder of her precarious situation. She had no choice but to fight, tooth and nail, to survive. But the odds were stacked against her, and the weight of her imminent demise loomed ominously.

Galaxy Master and his Pokemon were non-stop aggressive. Every Pokemon that was thrown at her and her group were like wild beasts, mindlessly attacking without any signs of stopping. Not even her combined effort with the rest of her group could fend them off forever. So, she had to come up with a plan.

Twilight Wish would zap in various direction with her magic, constantly having to look around her from every angle, especially for the Ghost-Types that could phase through walls. All of them were aiming to capture her. The Pokemon would charge her and her Pokemon from different angles, trying to overwhelm her, her Pokemon were doing their best to fend them off, using whatever attacks they could to defend their Trainer.

"Meowsca!" Meowsca shot an array of flowers at a charging Tauros, their petals spiralling them across the air. Meanwhile, Pawmot fired a bolt of electricity at an approaching Blastoise, the water-type thrashing around. Tinkaton slammed her hammer onto a rampaging Tauros, the bull's charge halted in its tracks.

But for every attack they countered, more Pokémon rushed in, relentless and driven by an insatiable hunger. Their ferocious snarls and growls echoed through the room, a symphony of savagery. It was a battle of endurance, and Twilight Wish knew that their resolve was wearing thin. They fought valiantly, but the sheer numbers of the attackers were overwhelming.

"I can't keep this up..." Twilight Wish took deep breaths, running low on stamina and even magic. As she was breathing heavily, she narrowly avoided an incoming attack from a Venasaur, swaying her head as the vines would graze her mane and head, cutting a few strands of it off in the process. "Ngh!"

"Venu!" Venusaur would then unleash a frantic array of vines at her, backed up by a Sceptile, Meganium and Serperior. The vines would rush right at her, forcing the unicorn to rapidly deflect and destroy as many of the vines as she could, not allowing a single one to touch her.

But she was starting to get sluggish, her movements waning. Backing her up was Meowscarada, who would rapidly kick at the incoming vines. "Sca! Sca! Scarada!" The cat Pokemon was moving in excellently, her kicks and movements being immaculate. However, it wouldn't last long, as a Heracross and Pidgeot would appear from the sides, aiming to take out Meowscarada, the former rushing in to uppercut her away while the latter would leap and attempt to strike her in the back of the neck.

"!" Thankfully, Pawmot was quick enough to intercept, firing a Thunder Punch at Tsareena to push her away, before spinning around and delivering a Volt Switch to knock Quaquaval away. At the same time, Tinkaton would slam her hammer against the floor, unleashing an Earthquake that would topple the vine-wielding Grass-types, causing the vines to retract.

"Ugh..." Twilight Wish lowered her head, breathing heavily once more. She had to come up with something, or else they were done for. She closed her eyes, focusing her mind and trying to think of a way out. "The best I can do is get the castle to end up elsewhere...but where?"

She didn't have to come up with a choice as Galaxy Master leapt over his Pokemon, approaching Twilight Wish. Meowscarada, Tinkaton and Pawmot were ready to intercept him, only to be blinded with a powerful Galaxy Flash, making them cover their eyes. In that brief moment, he had the opportunity to make his move. With a single swift motion, he grabbed her.

Right in the neck, Galaxy Master would lift Twilight Wish up, finally getting his hands on her. "Gh!" The unicorn would choke, her hooves dangling helplessly in the air. Meowscarada and the other Pokemon would immediately react, rushing in to try and save her, only to be held hit by something. When Galaxy Master used his Galaxy Flash, it did more than just blind them.

Sparkles of Galaxies appeared around their bodies before hitting them with shockwaves from within, knocking them down and leaving them writhing in pain. Twilight Wish kept panting, far too tired to do anything else. This entire scuffle had drained her, while Galaxy Master didn't even show an inkling of fatigue.

"Nh...nn..." Alas, she simply let out a defeated sigh, knowing she was spent. "I...I can't muster any more magic...I can't even make a wish..." She thought to herself. Her Pokemon tried helping, but where unable to get up, Galaxy Master's Pokemon looming over them.

With a simple motion of his hand, a small, yet bright spark appeared. A tiny galaxy of stars, swirling together in a mesmerizing dance. Then, he moved his fingers and the galaxy expanded, becoming larger and more vibrant. Its beauty was captivating, drawing the attention of everyone in the room, and its brightness illuminated the faces of those gathered. Then, with a flick of his wrist, the galaxy began to spin faster and faster, creating a vortex of energy that sucked everything in its path. It was a spectacular sight, one that left onlookers in awe and wonder. It was a portal to the Main Univers.

As everything in the castle was breaking apart and being sucked in, Twilight Wish closed her eyes, knowing there was nothing she could do. Well, there was one thing that crossed her mind and now was a good time to at least try it.

"Even like this...I at least have to know...who you are!" In her weakened state, with the last of magic, she would shoot a tiny ray at Galaxy Master's head. But that tiny ray was more than enough to let her see right into his mind. Her eyes would glow, synergizing with his. What came next was an experience unlike any other. Even in her weakened state, her mind would enter his, and what she saw would leave her in a shocked, horrified, and perhaps heartbroken state.

"Wh-What is this? What am I looking at?" She'd say to herself. And after witnessing it for herself, she knew who his was. The man currently against her was close to Ash. Very close. In a way, he was his father. It was all clear to her now and tears started flowing down her eyes.

And as a tear formed in Twilight Wish's eyes, Galaxy Master was about to throw her into the Galaxy Vortex. But just as he was about to, Twilight Wish said one last thing.

"Wait...What about Ash?!" She screamed and in that instance, Galaxy Master froze. The name Ash resonated with him strongly, almost like some sort of instinctual reaction. He couldn't understand why, but he felt compelled to stop and listen to what Twilight had to say. "You need to snap out of it! Ash! Your son is danger!"

"..." He was briefly halted by this, taking her words in. Much like Alpha, there was a part of him in there that reacted strongly to his loved one. But just like Alpha, that did not last as Galaxy Master went back into the mission, throwing Twilight Wish through the vortex. The unicorn screamed as the portal's suction was incredibly powerful, pulling her and the rest of the castle's remnants inside. Once that was all taken care of, Galaxy Master was about to exit and go to the main universe, but then...

"Ash..." He finally spoke after so long.

As the journey continues.
