My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Reign of the Strongest
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGalar. On top of a Mountain. Afternoon.
Prisma's rampage had begun. Already, he had destroyed the Moon, absolutely obliterating it with ease, the fragments of it attacking the world below. And on top of his already overwhelming power, he summoned forth his Rayquaza, here to battle alongside his Dragonite, who already gave them a ton of trouble.
"You can thank the soul of Brendan. For you see, now that all 10 souls are one, my own soul, all the Pokemon that I once had, their souls have awakened too, allowing me to easily call upon them once more!" Prisma explained, a smile on his face. "This is only the beginning of the true despair, and the end of the universe and the cycle will come soon enough! Your time is running out, the countdown begins!"
"Nothing's gonna end! Not while Ash needs our help!" Applejack cried out.
"And what can you do?" Prisma questioned.
"We believe that Ash is still in there, unlike you." Luna uttered. "I'll battle for the sake of Ash's heart. To free him! We all will!"
"But...Ash's body..." Fluttershy already was hesitant, as attacking Prisma might mean hurting their friend's physical form.
"I know how you're feeling right now, Fluttershy...I feel the same way..." Luna said while gritting her teeth. "To harm him would be harming Ash...but to not fight would mean that we have lost him forever..."
"Hoh? No confidence in yourself?" Prisma looked at Flutterrshy, intmidating her and making her look away, her ears drooping. "How dissappointing. Perhaps you need some encouragement. Rayquaza!"
Hearing his voice, Rayquaza let out a thunderous roar before taking action. The Sky High Pokemon would descend rapidly, targeting the ground itself. It flew past everyone, causing wind pressures from its sheer movement alone, but its aim wasn't to directly attack the heroes. Its target was the very ground the mountain stood on.
By diving down, Rayquaza started slithering on the ground, its body dragging on the dirt, tearing a trail in the ground. The Dragon would cause earthquakes because of this, the speed of its movement being powerful enough to do so. And naturally, this threatened cities and towns, people and Pokemon alike, screaming and panicking at the oncoming disaster, the earth-shattering movements of the Pokemon threatening to tear them apart.
Rayquaza was laying waste to the surrounding area with ease as Luna and the others looked on in shock. They were worried, afraid that the monster would destroy millions of people and Pokemon.
"Stop!" Fluttershy cried out.
"If you want me to stop, then you know what you have to do! My Pokemon are the last of your worries! If you don't have the guts to attack me, then your end will come sooner than you think!" Prisma laughed.
"We'll stop you regardless!" Rainbow Dash cried out, taking out another Poke Ball. "And we'll get out friend back. "Go! Zeraora!"
"Zeraora!" She roared once she was brought out. She gazed at the human boy. "Ash! Come back to us!" Despite her words of encouragement, she knew that her pleas would go unheard and that she would have to use her strength to try and save him.
"Dragonite, Rayquaza. Attack." Prisma ordered, the two nodding and getting into position. Both Pokemon would charge up attacks. With a swing of his hand, he'd send them forth. "Now, finish them off!"
Both of the Pokemon unleashed their Hyper Beams, aiming at the group, ready to unleash a barrage of attacks that would wipe the heroes off the face of the planet.
"Zeraora! Plasma Fists!"
"Darkrai, Thunderbolt!"
Instead of trying to avoid them, the duo would take the Hyper Beams head-on. They would both charge in and try to counter the incoming attacks, with Zeraora's electrified fists blocking the beams and Darkrai's Thunderbolt crashed into them. It would be a struggle to try and stop these beams as Zeraora was aggressively pushing against the power of the beams while Darkrai was pouring as much electricity as he could.
"Z-Ze...Zera...!" Zeraora growled, feeling the pressure of the Hyper Beam coming at her. Dragonite's and Rayquaza's combined power was too strong for just a single Electric-Type. Even though the bolts of lightning would be able to pierce through most of the beam, it wasn't enough to block the rest of the attack.
"Dragon Pulse!"
"Scep...Tile!" That is until Sceptile's Dragon Pulse chimed in, adding a third attack to clash against the dual Hyper Beam. The force of the attacks pressing and pushing against each other was great, causing a lot of damage to the area. Luckily, no lives were lost, except for a few rocks that scattered everywhere, which Luna would use her powers to protect anyone down below from any falling debris.
"All I have to do is get in your head!" Luna said, her eyes flashing as she locked onto Prisma while this clash was ongoing. She believed getting in his head would fix all of this or at least do something significant. "Now, Cresselia! Get in there and mess with him!"
"CRESSSEEEELIAAAAAA!" The Lunar Pokemon let out a cry, ascending to the skies and flying high above. Once she was high up, her entire body began to glow, releasing a dream-like aura that would flow towards Prisma.
Prisma looked up as Luna would then shoot a beam towards him, one intended on interacting with his head as it slipped by the Hyper Beams. Prisma now had two things coming his way, one going to the head, and the other aimed at his general body.
"What are you planning, Luna?" Prisma smirked. He raised a hand and caught the beam in his grasp, holding it effortlessly, surprising her. "What a fool." Prisma scoffed, flicking his finger and dissipating the energy of the beam, leaving only the psychic projection of Cresselia. "That was nothing, really." Prisma's body would suddenly glow, and his eyes glowed, unleashing a blast of energy that broke the psychic projection.
"That's what you think!" But Luna planned for something like that. As soon as the energy was dissapated, the tiny remains of it would fly forward, latching onto Prisma's head. This was her plan, to at least get a small amount of energy on him, to get inside his mind
"Hm?!" Prisma raised an eyebrow as a night-like energy surrounded his body. This caught the attention of his Pokemon, causing their focus to be broken a bit. And because of this, ti allowed Sceptile, Darkrai and Zeraora to push through the Hyper Beams. They couldn't overpower them but they could make the attacks explode, causing the clash to end in a draw and making the battlefield even more damaged, the ground becoming scorched, the land torn and the nearby trees and mountains breaking down.
Everyone still climbing the mountain had to hold on for dear life, only being kept safe by the leftover roots Sceptile left behind. Thankfully, their grip on the mountain remained.
Luna would close her eyes, focusing her energy to delve into the mind of her enemy, hoping to break through and find Ash in there. But she was struggling as even though she managed to cast the spell, Prisma was pushing back against it. His sheer Aura was pushing back against Luna's magic, causing her to strain.
"Ngh...!" The Moon Princess groaned.
"You think you'll find them in there? Pathetic." Prisma smirked, crossing his arms as Luna's hooves would slide across the magic platform, showing that she was losing the struggle. "Rayquaza! Dragon Ascent! Dragonite! Draco Meteor!"
Holding nothing back, Prisma ordered for these two dangerous attacks to be unleashed. They already struggled with Draco Meteor but now they had to deal with another one and now Rayquaza.
"Whatever you do...do not let them succeed in executing those attacks!" Luna ordered at once, the desperation in her voice being at an all-time high. Understanding very well, the trio knew what to do.
"Sceptile! Frenzy Plant!"
"Tile!" As soon as Dragonite and Rayquaza attempted taking flight, Sceptile would intercept their movements in the air. Slamming his hands on the ground, the earth would begin to tremble, the ground shaking violently and splitting open. Countless vines flew out, pursuing both Dragons at once. Sceptile's vine-like tails would extend and join the onslaught of vines, striking the two dragons repeatedly. With a roar, he would use a plethora of moves to keep the Dragons restrained in the air. "SCEPTIIIIILE!"
"Zeraora! Use Plasma Fists!"
"Zero..." Electricity would crackle around the electric-type's form, and in an instant, the Legendary would vanish. In a flash, she would reappear in the air, her right fist glowing with an incredible amount of electricity. Aiming at the two Pokemon, her attack would hit, specifically smashing against Rayquaza first, letting the burst of electricity shock Dragonite afterwards.
Once her attack landed, Zeraora began a rapid blow of punches at Rayquaza's face, going at high-speeds. "Ora, ora, ora, ora!" She cried out, punching the green dragon in the face. The blows of her fists were hitting so fast, that the air around her was blazing hot, the wind following her movement and the electricity flowing from her body would electrocute the green sky serpent, but she was visibly struggling to bring Rayquaza down.
"Come on...! Ash! If you can hear me in there, let me in!" Celestia cried out for Ash, hoping for a response while still fighting against Prisma's Aura. "Red! Ethan! Anyone!"
"Pointless! Give up on that task while you're at it!" Prisma declared as he increased his Aura. The force of his Aura pushed against Luna's, causing her to grunt in pain and struggle to hold on. But as it looked like Luna would fail to get in, someone backed her up against Prisma's Aura.
It was Applejack.
She stepped forward, letting her own Aura show itself as it burst forth in a powerful explosion. Her azure color flowed into Luna's, and together, their Aura was stronger than ever. It became thicker and brighter, and the light from it shined even further, creating a powerful barrier between the two sides that not even a stray leaf could pass through. It was clear that the two were determined and ready to take on anything that came their way. "Don't worry, Princess!" Applejack said, her words filled with confidence. "I got your back!"
"T-Thank you, Applejack!" Luna was grateful. And she would become even more grateful when others got involved. Such as Fluttershy. She finally took action, specifically by having Audino use Heal Pulse on everyone.
"Audino!" A relaxing wave of energy soothed over the bodies of Applejack and Luna, having one purpose. To ensure that they have the stamina to keep this up. If they do, then by some chance, they could push back against Prisma's Aura, allowing Luna to get into his mind and try to free Ash. The pink light that emanated from Audino was warm and gentle, enveloping their bodies in a soothing embrace. The energy washed away the fatigue that had been building up in their muscles, leaving them feeling rejuvenated and full of vitality.
"Hmm..." Prisma narrowed his eyes at their attempts, seeing what they were trying just to succeed.
"Please, Ash! If you can hear me, say something! All that hard work we did to prevent something like this...I know you wouldn't let it end like this!" Luna yelled.
"It's us, Ash!" Applejack added, looking at Prisma who kept the same face on him. Luna would use her magic, manifesting her magical aura and Applejack's aura into projections of themselves. These projections were ethereal and translucent, resembling the spirits of the characters they were meant to represent.
"Even if it's a tiny window, I know for a fact I can reach you!" Luna yelled forth while Prisma scoffed at this. "You need to remember, Ash!" As her voice would echo, her projection flew forward, entering Prisma's body, causing him to slightly flinch at the impact. Once she made contact, all the night-like energy would start flowing out, Luna's vision changing as she attempted to flash Prisma's mind with a plethora of things.
And once there, Prisma would be able to see what Luna was about to project upon him. "Ash. You must remember everything. Especially with how much you mean to me." Luna's voice echoed from within. "I remember when you and I first met...On that fateful Nightmare Night."
It was on Nightmare Night when they met. Or rather, Halloween for the Pokemon World. It was Princess Luna's first time returning to Equestria after her banishment, making her presence known. And Luna remembered that first interaction well.
On that night, dark clouds swarmed over Ponyville as the chariot had arrived there, coming down from it, she landed on the ground having everypony still. Everypony kneeled to bow down to her. Ash from first glance had thought it was Celestia due to the horn length and the flowing cosmic hair.
"Oh, sweet costume Princess Celestia!" He said out loud. Everypony including Twilight and Spike, freaked out internally upon hearing him speak so casually to Luna. Luna turned her attention to Ash and his partner Pikachu. Their eyes met and Twilight was sweating nervously. Princess Luna walked over to him as the wind kept blowing with bats flying about.
"Please Ash.. for the love of Celestia why can't you bow..?" Twilight said quietly, not trying to cause any potential trouble. Luna arrived face to face with the immortal boy and his electric friend, speaking to them.
"YOU WOULD COMPARE US TO OUR MUCH HIGHER APPRAISED SISTER, STRANGE CREATURE?" Her Royal Canterlot voice was being used as it let out a powerful echo that just the wind much more intense than it already is. Ash held his hat as Pikachu held onto his partner's leg again.
"Huh? SISTER?!" Ash was surprised to hear that Celestia had a sister.
"WE ARE THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT WHILE MY OTHER HALF IS OF THE SUN. I COME HERE TO ENSURE THAT WE ARE NO LONGER A NIGHTMARE TO ALL PONIES, BUT A PONY WHO DESIRES YOUR LOVE AND ADMIRATION. WE COME HERE TO TURN THIS OMINOUS AND HAUNTING NIGHT INTO A GLORIOUS FEAST!" Lighting struck down from all the words that she said. Everypony was shaking from all of that.
But Ash didn't seem worried. After all, the way he presents himself to others is always with a strong air of respect but with his own way. His way of respect was by seeing others on equal footing, and was willing to be friendly to everyone.
But Luna saw that as absolute disrespect to her name. One stamp of her hoof, a crack on the ground. Luna turned to Ash, still focused on talking to him. Twilight had to do something before Ash's carefree attitude made it worse. Everypony slowly backed away, not wanting to be noticed as Twilight got up to stop Ash from whatever he might do.
"To be honest...when I first met you, I wanted to strike you down right then and there." Luna continued to speak from within. "You were strange, not a Unicorn, a Pegasus or an Earth Pony. Or any creature I've seen. I was so fearful of what my life would be like when I finally return to Equestria, especially after Nightmare Moon had been defeated at the time. But you..."
Despite this, Ash assisted the newly returned Princess on that night.
"Very well. We understand that the responsibility of this. If thou can eliminate the darkness within us, then we can certainly trust thou will put everything right from both worlds. Now then. We wish to co-operate with the ponies to make this dreadful night beloved."
"That should be easy though. You can just talk with them and hang out ya know." Ash said, despite not knowing how terrified everypony else is of her.
"It's not that easy Ash. Princess Luna has been banished for a long time in the moon. The stories left behind her were about Nightmare Moon. So her appearance is gonna be met with mixed results."
"Hm, I guess so. How about this?" Ash had picked up his partner Pikachu, showing him to her. "Try talking to Pikachu. He won't mind. He's just as much of a talker as I am."
"Pikachu." Luna looked at Pikachu as it wasn't anything like she'd seen before. It was much different from a normal animal.
"Greetings, a creature known as Pikachu. We are pleased to have this chat."
"Pika-Pika," Pikachu responded even though Twilight and Luna had no clue what words were spoken to her.
"Pikachu just said, nice to talk to you as well." Ash said, interpreting for his friend.
"But you accepted me right away. The fears that I had were still there on that night, but overtime, you and Twilight Sparkle helped me through it! I was so grateful then! I even considered you, Pikachu, Darkrai and Twilight Sparkle my first friends!" As her voice got louder, her magical aura would grow as well. "Ever since then, I've been inspired by you! It's because of you that I found myself enjoying Pokemon Battles...and by extension, all things Pokemon later on! I don't know what I would've done in my life if I had never met you!"
Luna would then proceed to show off memories of her and Ash spending quality time together. Most of that quality time was spent around Canterlot Castle, the Pokemon House and even when they battle side-by side. The battles were especially the one thing Luna remembers the most from her time with Ash. The thrill of battling with him was unlike anything else, even though the situation was always one of great importance.
And even outside of that, whenever she would come to the Pokemon House here and there, interacting with Ash was pleasant. In fact, to her, being around Ash was more pleasant than anything else aside from being around her sister.
"And at some point, I ended up falling for you!" Her voice echoed, her heart glowing bright. "I fell head over hooves, and have loved you ever since!" Her confession was true and straight from the heart. "I know that the bond between a human and a pony is impossible, but that doesn't stop the way I feel! I can't stand to see you in pain and despair. You're the one who brought this spark within me! Even though I have Celestia and my subjects, I have never felt that void until you showed up." Her voice grew in volume and power. "So please, come back to me!"
Her magic would grow and grow, resonating strongly with her emotions as always. The passion she felt fueled her magic to the extreme, and in turn, her love and feelings for Ash would be powerful enough to match Prisma's aura so far. As the projection of her went towards the memories she showed off, she tried her best to reach Ash, hoping for a response.
But before she could get the chance to touch it, right as her hoof almost came in contact with it, an arm would grab that same hoof. With an intense grip, it was clear that the owner of that hand had the intention of crushing the bones in her leg. It was Prisma, managing to project himself in here.
"!!" Luna gasped.
"A shame. These feelings you have for him are a waste. You love someone that no longer exists and I guarantee you, I do not feel the same way." Prisma coldly said as Luna's heart would be hammered by that. "Your love won't matter by the end of it all. It would have never existed." With that, Prisma's Aura started burning away at Luna's projection, causing the Alicorn to scream and struggle against the flames consuming her.
As Luna screamed, feeling herself slipping from Prisma's mind, it looked like this plan to reach Ash would end in failure as Prisma was overpowering the Moon Princess once more. However, that's when three more Auras flew in, pushing back against Prisma's and saving Luna's projection. They belonged directly to Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Applejack. All of them had their eyes closed and their cutie marks glowed. While they were no where near the level of the alicorns, the combined efforts of the trio was able to give the Princess an edge.
"You three..." Luna gasped. Thanks to her magic, they were able to get in there as well, showing off their projections. They had the desire to help her, and thanks to that, they were now in the mindscape. But even then, the pressure from Prisma's presence was getting to them. They were sweating already from how overwhelming his aura was. But the girls would try their best to reach their friend.
"Ash! Please listen to me! I want things to go back to how they were with all of us!" Fluttershy groaned as her mane would aggressively blow around from the pressure. "I'm so glad I met you! I never found anyone who loved creatures just as much as I did...I thought the same would apply to the Pokemon! But then I met you!"
Fluttershy had a plethora of fond memories with Ash. Especially ones that involved their shared love for Pokemon. From sharing their knowledge, to caring for them, to simply watching them, the two of them have bonded greatly with each other, and the same could be said for their Pokemon.
"Because of that, you're the first person I thought of when the idea of a Pokemon Sanctuary was brought up. And that was a dream come true for me, and the only reason that happened was because of you!" Tears would appear in her eyes from the strain of going against the sheer power of the aura. "I don't think I would've loved Pokemon way more than I do now without you...!"
Rainbow Dash would grunt as she had to brace herself and fly towards Ash. She had to fight hard to reach him, but the weight of the Aura was pushing her back. "Ash! Geez all this aura is boiling!" Rainbow would yell, trying to reach him. "Let's battle again like before! I still want you to see me enter the Equestria League, so that I can become Equestria's first ever Pokemon Champion! You've made me the trainer I am today and I'm way stronger because of you!"
Rainbow was indeed strong, and her training with Ash was the best part about her journey. It was the most rewarding thing she's done in her entire life. Before she was a trainer, becoming the Wonderbolt she wanted to be was her biggest goal. Now that's just her secondary dream which she managed to achieve finally. Ever since the merge, her dream was to become a champion once she learned about the Pokemon League, and so far, no-one's been more supportive of her dream than Ash and the rest of their friends.
She could remember her time with him and Pikachu as their battles were the most thrilling, and her training sessions with him and his Pokemon were no different. There was a lot of stuff she was learning on her own, and he gave her the inspiration to push further and to enjoy her journey. To her, Ash was a source of strength and a great mentor. She wouldn't have any of that without him. Her dreams were bigger because of him, and the road to achieving that was a blast to travel, and the fun was all thanks to him.
Fluttershy felt the same way about how she bonds with him over Pokemon. No one comes to the Pokemon House more than Ash, and during his visits, the two would bond over the care of their Pokemon. He was a good teacher, and while the Pegasus wasn't a battler, she was an expert on taking care of these creatures. She wouldn't have had such an experience if she hadn't met him. Because of that, she had a desire to make sure that his friendship was preserved.
Without him, her life wouldn't be the same. She wouldn't trade the experiences she had with him, and his absence would leave a void in her heart. He was a big part of her life, and the same could be said of everyone else, including the others in the mindscape with her.
"I wanna win every badge and compete in the Equestria League, and I wanna do it with you and the rest of the gang cheering me on! That'll be the best day of my life, and I can't have that without the very person who made that happen!" Rainbow yelled. "You're the reason why we're all trainers, and the reason why our lives have gotten a little bit better, and a whole lot more awesome, and a hell of a lot more exciting!" She had a smile. "We can't have the league without the guy who introduced it to us. We need you more than you think, and nothing will change that!"
While Rainbow and Fluttershy were pouring out their hearts, Applejack was silent. Mainly because her Aura was burning through the most compared to the others. But she had so much she wanted to say to Ash. So instead, she made her Aura speak for her, flooding Prisma's minds with those memories.
"Ash...!" Applejack groaned as the memories of Ash and Applejack bonding came flooding in. For the two of them, the bond they shared was more akin to a familial bond and that was only strengthened ever since Pikachu and Kangaskhan were reunited after all those years apart. Both of the two had their families to support them throughout their adventure. They both had the same mentality of working hard to succeed. If the work was tough, that meant the reward would feel that much better.
Their values were quite similar and that was a big factor in their friendship. Both of them had their own responsibilities that needed their attention, and both of them were reliable and willing to take on the task. Whether it was their farms or their Pokémon, they were always dedicated to their duties. Their similarities were what drew them to one another, making their connection that much stronger.
"Please, Ash! Come back to us!" The four of them all cried out to their friend. Prisma simply closed his eyes as all these memories kept coming. As the four of them tried to reach him, their Auras would glow brighter, and Prisma would find himself surrounded by a rainbow of colors, mixing and intertwining in a dazzling display. He watched on, before suddenly smirking.
"Pointless." He said as his Aura would suddenly shatter the rainbow into a million pieces. It would expand as the girls all had their eyes widen, seeing the large mass of black and red coming their way. And just like that, their projections were blasted out of the mindscape. All of them had their bodies hit the floor hard, and the Auras around them would fade away.
The force of the Aura expansion even knocked all the other Pokemon back, causing them to fall over as Rayquaza had already pushed the roots off its body, knocking Zeraora away. The top of the mountain would erupt with Prisma's aura, causing those down below to flinch. Everyone was stunned.
The aftermath was the bodies of the girls lying on the magical platform, absolutely overwhelmed. Aura was smoking from them as if they had been burned while their bodies twitched from the shock. Their Pokemon were no different as their bodies were on the ground, completely stunned from the Aura outburst. With his Aura alone, Prisma brought them all down.
Prisma emerged from the hole on the mountain, his face was neutral, but there was a hint of anger. "How pathetic." He spat, slowly walking towards the group. "Is that what your so called friendship is? How sad. I expected more from you all. I know you're stronger than this but you went down like that.."
Prisma expected more, especially since they still had Pokemon they could battle with. Alas, he was dissappointed, promptly turning around as his Dragons descended to meet with him. "I have no business in Galar anymore. The rest of the world's destruction still has to be done." He was about to set off.
However, as he was about leave, someone grabbed onto his leg, prompting him to stop. It was a weak grab as he looked back to see who was responsible. It ended up being Fluttershy, who was an absolute wreck. Tears of many quanitites flowed down her face as her mane was rustled and burnt from the blast. Her uniform was ruined and torn, and the look on her face showed how desperate and afraid she was, clutching to his pantleg. "
Please...don't take Ash away from us..." She pleaded, her voice quivering. "Please don't go, Ash..."
Prisma was silent, his gaze emotionless. "Ash'?" She continued.
"Tch." Prisma simply moved his leg back, getting the pegasus off her with minimal effort. "Don't weep for him. Weep for what's about to happen to your world. And savor those tears for the end of everything."
"You aren't going anywhere!" Just then, a powerful voice spoke to Prisma, coming from above. He raised his head, seeing sun rays beam through, bringing back parts of the sunny skies which Prisma had covered up earlier. And the one responsible for this was obvious.
Princess Celestia, finally arriving at the scene.
As the journey continues.
