My Little Pokémon: Grander World
A Three-Way Clash
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGalar. Wedgehurst. Afternoon.
The battle raged on, and it was clear that the heroes were slowly losing their advantage. Celestia was able to hold her own, and her Pokemon were putting up a valiant effort, but the sheer overwhelming power of the Legendary Rayquaza and the ferocious Dragonite were proving to be a tough challenge.
Meanwhile, everyone from Postwick had finally made it out of town, but the sounds of the fierce fight continued to echo in the distance. Even though the danger seemed to have lessened, the feeling of unease was gigantic among the group, knowing that Celestia was facing a formidable opponent.
"This way, everyone~!" Sonia had already seen the battle in the distance, yelling at the Postwick residents to keep running, with her pointing in the right direction. Once far enough, the trainer who had the Harmony Badge that Celestia passed over, would try and open a gateway with it to a place where the residents could remain safe.
However, the badge was not responding. He kept trying to activate the dimensional gate, to no avail. Her face displayed a look of concern, and she was wondering if the artifact had been damaged or was otherwise unable to function. "It's not working...How do you use this?!"
"Here, pass it over!" But Sonia would know how to use it. She would take the badge and close her eyes, focusing on the mystical energy within the object. Suddenly, the symbol on the badge would glow, emitting a bright light that surrounded the group. A large portal would appear in front of them, providing a means of escape. "Alright, everyone. Go in, quickly!" As the Postwick villagers rushed towards the portal, a sudden noise would catch their attention.
It was the Dragon Matter. It had reached Postwick, beginning to rip apart the buildings in its path. The people would scream, and they'd start to move faster. Sonia would look at the approaching Dragon Matter while all the people and Pokemon kept entering the gateway. With the speed at which the Dragon Matter was moving, there was a chance that not everyone would make it through in time. The young woman's mind was racing, and her instincts kicked in. She would turn to the portal and yell at the top of her lungs. "Get in! Hurry!"
But as the last few people were starting to enter, it would look like it would be too late as the Dragon Matter towered over them, ready to consume Sonia and the others. Sonia, with absolute fear in her eyes, raised her arm for the worst that could come.
"Fire Blast!" But a voice from afar bellowed as a giant blast of fire would fly right at the wave of draconic energy, pushing it back slightly. Sonia, and the last few villagers would look at the source of the voice, and what they saw was Leon on his Charizard.
"Leon!" Sonia yelled. He had made it in the nick of time.
"Once more!"
"Char!" A second Fire Blast was unleashed by Charizard, once more pushing the wall of Dragon Matter away and preventing it from reaching the rest of the people. At this point, everyone had managed to reach the other side of the portal, and Sonia and Leon were the only ones left behind.
"Are you alright, Sonia?!" Leon asked, hopping off Charizard's back once he descend.
"Oh! I'm glad to see you again! Really!" A relieved Sonia would exclaim, hugging Leon tightly. Leon would hug her back, happy that his friend was okay.
"As soon as I saw all that chaos happening, I showed up as soon as possible. So...that Prisma guy's finally arrived, huh?"
"It looks like it. I saw Princess Celestia battling him over at Postwick." Sonia pointed at the sky, at which point the two would look at the intense fighting that was currently happening between the two.
"Ash..." Leon said, looking at the fierce sparks going off in the distance, clearly showing that a battle was raging on.
"Leon...A-Are you going to-"
"Yeah. I plan to jump in there." Leon smiled, confirming that he would try and take Prisma on. "But before that, I need to make sure everyone's safe. Hurry through the gateway and stay safe yourself. Okay?" His hand rested on Sonia's shoulder, giving her a reassuring nod. He didn't want his friend to be in harm's way, and he would do whatever he could to protect her. In response, Sonia smiled and nodded in return. She trusted him to take care of the situation and knew that she needed to prioritize the safety of the residents of Postwick. With a determined expression, she turned around and jumped through the portal, leaving Leon to handle the situation.
Reshiram and Rayquaza continued to clash in the sky, outburst of flame, wind and draconic energy flying everywhere. Their respective trainers were focused, both of them using their powers to control their Pokemon to the best of their abilities.
Kommo-o and Dragonite butted heads, pushing against each other in their fierce clashes. Kommo-o was strong, able to push back against Dragonite's ruthless attacks. Even if Dragonite was more tenacious, Kommo-o wasn't going to fall down that easily. Eventually, the Scaly Pokémon was pushed back a bit and would slam its tail on the ground.
"I was right about you, Celestia!" Prisma laughed. "You're strong! Amazingly strong! I can safely say you're not boring at all!"
"Why?! You want to destroy everything, yet you're actively enjoying this battle?!" Celestia was confused by Prisma's approach.
"It's true. I want everything gone. No. I'm going to erase all of existence, whether or not the world wants that. That's why I'm here, after all. But that's not to say that I won't find enjoyment in a fight such as this! Besides, a part of me wants to see if you all can back it up. If you all can truly fight for the sake of your existence." Prisma would admit, smirking. "And I'm fine if that happens. If it does, that means my wish was denied. If not, then the wish will be fulfilled. Either way, I'll get to end my miserable existence at long last."
He didn't sound sad. He didn't sound angry. Just a man who was accepting his fate. But he wanted to go down on his own terms.
"Now...Come on. Bring out all of your Pokemon. Especially, Passion. You want to protect this world, don't you?" Prisma's smirk grew. "Then prove it to me, and bring her out." The aura around his body glowed, his power growing stronger. His hair was flowing, his gaze remained piercing.
"I need to play my cards carefully...I haven't fully recovered yet and neither has Passion. Just a bit longer. Kommo-o and Reshiram will have to hold out for a bit longer." Celestia thought to herself.
However, right as Celestia thought to herself, something pushed up against the Dragon Matter. It was a force that was capable of matching its destructive power, even being made to directly counter the Dragon Matter. It would let out a glorious and beautiful sound that was akin to a song of hope. This force was of course the Fairy Matter.
Made by Twilight Luminaria herself, it approached the battlefield where Celestia and Prisma were having their fight, but it was not alone. In the distance, footsteps by the hundreds, even thousands, could be heard. From the horizon, a massive army could be seen, all heading to the location where Prisma was. They had a multitude of weapons at their disposal, stationary and mobile, each high-level magical creations that could unleash incredible attacks.
Pokemon by the thousands appeared. Some were on the ground, some were in the air, and they were all headed to the location, ready to assist in the fight to save the universe. Of course, these were the forces of Unilight. The Supernation had arrived, here to deal with Prisma a second time, but with success. At least, they hoped.
"Hoh?" Prisma simply said. "They've shown up. Here to be absolutely crushed like before?"
Celestia was taken back by their sudden appearance. This wasn't something she had hoped for, since Unilight was against her as well. A majority of its forces lined up across the area, their numbers incredibly vast and imposing. All for one person. And for good reason. They flooded the lands of Galar in mass quantities, blocking the roads, the rivers, the lakes, and every other piece of land. They were willing to go to war, just to stop one man.
"Prisma!" A general would shout out, his soldiers standing tall and prepared.
"Hah! You want to challenge me again?!" Prisma spoke to them all from afar, his voice managing to reach all of them. "How stupid can you be?! It will be an absolute repeat of the last battle!"
"Things are different now! Very much so. Your acts upon innocent lives, both in our past existence and this one is beyond unforgivable. We don't fear you anymore. Not like before." He had no fear in his heart. Only a will to win. The will of his entire nation to stop the evil that was Prisma, no matter what happened.
"So you're not afraid of me anymore? I find that hard to believe." Prisma chuckled. "Besides...where's your Queen? I expect to see Twilight right here. Unless she's waiting at the last moment like before. Is that it?"
"Her Majesty is fully prepared for you this time. But to ensure she succeeds, she will need all the time she can get. And we are here to give her that time."
"Give her time? So you're just willingly throwing yourself into certain doom just to buy her a couple of minutes. Hah! Just to fail a second time. Yet again, she'll fail you and you'll see the end of all things." Prisma smirked.
"Not this time. Before, Her Majesty was unable to fully use the power of the Fairy Matter since it was a last-minute creation. But now! It's fully complete and eligible to stop you!" The general cried out as the Fairy Matter would suddenly move forward, clashing into the Dragon Matter.
The army of Unilight would start to fire their weapons, unleashing a flurry of spells that were meant to take down Prisma. The massive conflict had begun and Celestia would be caught in the middle of it. Rayquaza roared the forces of Unilight, taking the opportunity to swoop in and unleash its devastating attacks.
"And while you're at it, restrain Princess Celestia!" The general ordered, not ruling out Celestia, who was still seen as a threat. Some would turn their attention to the Sun Princess and aim to apprehend her. She was not going to allow herself to be restrained or anything of the sort.
"Kommo!" Kommo-o appeared to defend his trainer from the onslaught of magical attacks. He was already pretty battered from his fight with Dragonite but he was not about to stop defending his trainer.
It pained Celestia to see every single soldier in this army were once her subjects. They were all once Canterlot Guards. Now, they were her enemy, aiming to capture her.
Kommo-o clashed against the oppossing Pokemon, using his martial arts prowess to the best of his ability. Even if he was tired, he would push through. Celestia could only hope that the citizens of Postwick got out safely. And thankfully they did.
However, the clash here would only escalate and at this rate, all of Galar would be caught up in it, especially with the Dragon Matter and Fairy Matter moving around to clash with one another.
"Rayquaza, Hyper Beam!"
Rayquaza unleashed its devastating attack, causing a huge explosion that would cause many of the Unilight troops to scatter, a majority of their weapons being blown away. Even their Pokemon were knocked out from the blast. Reshiram flew over, letting out its roar.
"Reshiram, Fusion Flare!"
With its mouth, Reshiram unleashed a powerful blast that would hit the troops and the Fairy Matter, the latter which was able to endure the damage. However, it would begin to slow down its movements.
"Now's my chance." Celestia would make her escape, her and Kommo-o fleeing the scene. Prisma would notice her, though would not pursue, instead focusing his attention on the army that was opposing him.
"Hm? Fleeing already, Celestia?! What happened to our battle?!" Prisma roared at her.
"Forget about our battle! I need to save everyone!" Celestia yelled at him, wanting to keep others safe. But as she tried flying off, the Dragon Matter suddenly appeared in front of her and slammed itself against her. "AAAGH!" This would knock her to the ground, where the Dragon Matter would slam on top of her and Kommo-o, crushing them and pinning them to the ground.
"Celestia!" Reshiram's eyes widened, seeing her get attacked. It attempted to fly and aid her but the Fairy Matter would suddenly block its path. Reshiram growled and shot a Fusion Flare right at the Fairy Matter, which was able to take the blow of the attack, not even feeling the effects of it. It was created solely to counter all things Draconic, so it wouldn't be effective against anything else. Plus, its resistance to the elements were strong.
"Hmph. Flee all you want. It's impossible to avoid this storm." Prisma smirked while his Rayquaza rained down destruction. "The world as you know it will be destroyed regardless. And this battle only adds to it. I will not lose a second time to Twilight Luminaria and her pathetic Supernation!"
Celestia would try and lift the Dragon Matter from above her. Even after pushing the Dragon Matter away, it would slam into her, knocking her back to the floor. Her body was starting to ache and hurt. While she was not at her limits, her injuries were making her slower. Kommo-o would attempt to lift the substance from his trainer's body, putting his own strength to the test. However, the Dragon Matter would not budge, even a little bit, the pressure continuing to crush the two of them.
But the Dragon Matter was doing something else to Kommo-o. Due to Kommo-o being a dragon, the energy would started messing with his body, planning to turn him into a more ferocious creature. He felt a surge of draconic energy flowing within him, and his pupils shrank, and a feral growl escaped his throat.
"K-Kommo..." Celestia called to her partner, trying to get his attention. But the dragon was too focused on the Fairy Matter, ready to rip it apart. He let loose a loud roar, and the Dragon Matter responded in kind. They were connected, and that connection was growing stronger by the minute.
"Kommo-o...!" Celestia groaned while on the ground, looking at Kommo-o struggle. Reshiram tried coming to both of their aids, only to be stopped by Rayquaza, who would wrap his body around the legendary Pokemon, restraining it.
Dragonite would unleash Draco Meteor, bringing down a storm of meteors against the forces of Unilight, causing a massive explosion that wiped out their weaponry with ease.
In fact, Prisma was doing all of this with ease. Unilight's forces were nothing to him and the way he fought as his Dragon Matter and Dragons laid waste to the scenery, it was clear that the war was in his favor. And the worst part is, that he hasn't broken a sweat or used his full power. There wasn't a hint of exhaustion in him.
"Hm." Prisma turned around, walking off while the meteors continued to rain down. "Let's take this elsewhere, shall we? I have a world to destroy and Galar won't be the only one to get the worst of it. Rayquaza!"
Rayquaza heard his trainer's voice, eventually letting go of Reshiram. And he let go of him by tossing the Vast White Pokemon into Unilight's forces. The forces of Unilight looked up in shock as the Dragon of Truth came crashing down in their direction. Many unicorns would immediately step in and create a shield to protect their fellow troops from the falling Legendary Pokemon. They weren't strong enough to completely withstand the force, and the impact of the collision shattered the barrier, scattering the troops and their Pokémon everywhere.
Rayquaza and Dragonite would soon follow Prisma, leaving the battlefield and the wreckage behind. "What's wrong, Celestia? You're awfully quiet. Has the fear finally sunk in?" Prisma snickered. "Don't worry, your fate is inevitable. If you have the drive to stop me, try and keep up!" With a wild laugh, Prisma got on Rayquaza's back, promptly leaving the scene as they flew off.
Celestia struggled to pick herself up, wincing in pain. She was in a sorry state, having been crushed and battered by Prisma and his Dragon Matter. Her vision was blurred, and the sound of the battle, along with the chaos of the aftermath, filled her ears. "Hah...Hah..." She panted heavily, her body aching with every movement.
"Must...stop him..." Celestia muttered under her breath, her resolve was still burning bright. As she got back up, she looked back at Unilight's forces, seeing how they were all bewildered and scattered thanks to Prisma and his Pokemon. They were starting to get back up as well, the Fairy Matter helping them out.
In fact, the Fairy Matter started healing their wounds. The mystical power would reverse all damages done to the troops and their Pokemon, and it would do so quickly, restoring them to their original condition. Celestia watched in astonishment and horror at the sight of this, knowing that they were prepared for a prolonged battle.
It even restored their stamina as they all let out sighs of relief and happiness. They were all now in prime shape to continue fighting, the Fairy Matter allowing their energy to return to its maximum potential.
"Ah...Just as her majesty planned." The General smiled once he felt refreshed. His body had regained its strength. He and his army was ready to continue the fight. "We will not let her highness down!"
With all of them rejuvenated, their mission continued as their pursuit of Prisma begun. But they also made sure not to ignore Celestia. Many troops took off and set out to pursue Prisma while others stayed behind to deal with her and her Pokemon.
"I haven't lost yet..." Celestia panted, using her magic to hold out two more Poke Balls, the two holding Alcremie and Arcanine respectively. "You and Prisma...neither side will succeed. I will stop you both." She stated.
Even if she was burning through a lot of magic has yet to fully recover, the Sun Princess had a world to protect. As Ruler of Equestria, she would not let her subjects down, even though a majority of them were on Unilight's side. As she was about to unleash her Pokemon, lightning would crash onto the scene.
It caught the Unilight troops off guard and surprised Celestia. From the dark clouds, Zekrom had emerged, unleashing a powerful Thunderbolt attack upon the Unilight forces, decimating their weaponry. Celestia looked up, seeing Rarity and everyone else on Zekrom's back.
"Princess Celestia, are you alright?!" Rarity would call out to her.
"Everyone..." Celestia had the most relieved look on her face, glad to see her beloved friends again.
"Hop on." Zekrom said to her upon descending.
"It took you long enough, brother." Reshiram got back up finally, shaking his head from the pain. "Where were you when I needed your help?"
"Hm. It seems like you were fine without my help." Zekrom commented. "Let's hurry. We can catch up to that path of destruction and find Prisma."
Celestia nodded and would hop on, getting on Zekrom's back. Kommo-o would climb on board before the Dragon of Ideals took the skies, flying off in the distance. Reshiram joined them, flying alongside his brother as they continued on their way. Luna, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, who were still badly hurt from their battle with Prisma were being held by Machamp, who was standing on top of Zekrom's head.
As the group of Pokémon and their riders soared through the sky, the devastation of the battle was evident in the landscape below. The fields of green had been scorched, and the land was strewn with the remnants of the fierce fighting.
Prisma turned his head, witnessing an entire army and the small forces of Celestia pursuing him. "Hah. This is getting interesting."
"You're in our way! Move! Zekrom use Fusion Bolt!" Rarity raised her hoof high into the air, wanting the Unilight forces in the air out of the way. Zekrom would comply, charging up a large electric sphere and firing it, wiping out all of the aerial creations that the Unilight Soldiers piloted along with all Flying-Types in the way. With that, they would blitz past them, getting closer to Prisma.
"Ash!" Pinkie Pie screamed at Prisma as Zekrom was rapidly approaching.
"Hey! Ash! It's us!" Roseluck would soon scream at him along with everyone. The residents of Ponyville that were present here started barking in Prisma's direction to get his attention, calling his name over and over again. However, their cries meant nothing.
"ASH!" They would scream louder, trying to grab the young man's attention. Prisma would slightly turn his head, giving a quick glance at the group of people screaming his name.
"He really doesn't care...No way..." Amethyst Star gasped in horror. They were all shocked that the person they thought was their best friend, didn't seem to have any recognition of who they were. Right now, the only way to try and stop him was by battle, which was an incredibly tall order.
Unova. The Arcane Seas.
As the battle raged on, elsewhere, in the Unova Region, Twilight Luminaria was currently on her own. Her forces were battling hard in their mission to stop Prisma, but even she knew that they wouldn't get the job done.
But she still believed in her victory. Her main goal was to replace Prisma's soul, erasing it from existence and creating a new being, in exchange for the memories of Ash and his counterparts. She had the means of doing so, but Luminaria had to make sure that it was successful. She needed all the power she could get and there was one place that could grant her that power.
The Arcane Seas.
The massive seas that were flowing with Rift Energy. To her, it was the perfect opportunity. The power of the Rift was the power of reality itself and right now, she intended to use it to its fullest potential. She stood over the massive sea, looking down at the cosmic energies that moved across the waters.
"With this...I can succeed. Harnessing the power of the Rift is possible for anyone. But fully utilizing it to its maximum potential is highly risky. Only Rift Ponies can wield a huge chunk of it and none of my reincarnations could. But..." Twilight Luminaria believed that she could do it.
She was the pinnacle of magic after all. At the end of the day, she believed that she would be the first pony to truly utilize the Rift's ultimate power without any drawbacks. With a smile, she pointed her horn at the Rift, and began to channel its energy. The seas would begin to glow and churn, becoming more active. Before long, a rift would appear in the sky, the portal to the Rift opening and releasing a massive, spherical object. Twilight would witness its release and the object was the size of a mountain.
It was the core of the Rift, and the source of its infinite power. Twilight's eyes were glowing blue, the amount of power she channeled was immense. Once the orb was close enough to the surface, it would begin to rise from the water, lifting itself into the air. Then, the core exploded, unleashing a shockwave that spread through the ocean and shook the earth beneath. Twilight's wings would flap open and the Alicorn would fly towards the light, enveloped in a massive aura of pure energy, the power of the Rift surrounding her. It would engulf her, a blinding white flash that forced her to shield her eyes and close her wings, letting the power flow through her. As the light faded, Twilight would slowly open her eyes, holding the orb in her hoof.
She had done it. She successfully harnessed the power of the Rift, and used its power to create her something that would grant her true power over reality. It was an item of great power and a tool that would help her in her plan to defeat the Strongest of them all.
"Yes...Yes! This will do perfectly!" She would laugh, knowing that there was nothing that could stand in her way. Not even the Pokemon Trainer that was once her friend. No, not anymore, that boy was gone and he was now a monster that needed to be dealt with. And that's exactly what she would do. She would find Prisma and then wipe him out, along with everyone who stood in her way.
Her laughter would echo across the empty field as she now believed that victory would be hers.
As the journey continues.
